This thread has been posted. Due to an unexpected long-term AFK, I have had to revive it. Didn't want to harass the old thread (poor soul) so I'm making another! Here you go:

Welcome to the world, boy,
It's waiting for you.
Clouds collided like brutes of the sky, pushing past each other with a sentient anger about them. A sheer cliff dropped to the bottom of the world, giving way to the infinite blue of the sea in the sky. Jutting out from the end of the land a rickety wooden pier balanced on the emptiness – clouds swirled and weaved within its legs as if the wooden structure was floating. Having walked to the edge of the world and beyond, Dana didn’t dare cast his eyes down into the depths below. Perched on the end of the pier, his eyes watched the clouds above for the expected arrival.
It's a simple world. Dana and his brother remained to themselves, rarely having to leave their small fishing village on the coast of Cherm. Their world, however, was tipped upside down when their village was swallowed by the clouds of a storm. With nothing left other than the clothes on their back, they must venture out into the world in search of a new path. Who knows what they will encounter when their feet tread the paths of fabled adventurers that have, until now, remained solely in stories.
