Joseph perked his ears up after this new teacher was done talking about the NOT class, Joseph liked the idea of doing no work whatsoever, but the NOT class was not (pun very much intended) for him. Joseph ended up grinning, revealing his filed down teeth, to make them sharp. This teacher ain't so bad, at least she isn't boring like I expected, she piqued my interest at least, and that ain't easy, Griffin knows that for sure. Joseph was interested now, the EAT class was definitely his goal here, even if he didn't want to, there's no way his partner would settle for the NOT class, so he was going to become part of the EAT class either way.

Charles sighed some thinking 'Why was I put into the NOT class... my ability only pertains to combat...' he rubs back of his head having this wonder in his mind, which agitates him somewhat.

Loki looked to Chimera and shook his head some, he gave her a slight shake to see if she was asleep or not, hopefully waking her up for the class. He would look forward to the front of the class, He knew he would be thrown into EAT before to long no matter what he wanted, after all he was the son of death... it's pretty much his job to fight Kishin, or at lest it's what his father expected of him just like his brothers and sisters of the past.

Zack looked at the seniors. He chuckled and shook his head. "They aren't always drunk although Mondays tend to look like this lot. There was a party yesterday to welcome the new class. I think many of them forget we had class thd next day. I didn't go because I knew my partner wouldn't be there and I wanted to make a good impression." he explained before turning his attention to the teacher.

Griffin had no intention of settling for the NOT class. He was only in it because it was required the first two years. He planned to get out of it as soon as he and Joseph were eligible. He doubted that his partner would argue. The other man would like the idea of having less school assignments. Even if Joseph wasn't willing he was going to push for advancement. He wanted to be the best.

Noticing that quite a few of the students had perked up when she mentioned the EAT class, Catherine smiled. It was not a gentle smile by any stretch of the imagination.

"For those of you who become warriors, I cannot stress the importance of soul studies. The study of the soul, or plasmology, is an important tool with which you fight. The harmony between meister and weapons, the detection and battling of witches, the way in which a weapon may become a death scythe, even the way one fights and manipulates their soul in order to make their attack - all of these fall under soul studies. Again, I cannot stress it enough - your knowledge of the soul is just as important in a battle as your ability to shoot a gun or swing a sword - perhaps even more so.

Given enough training, any brute can master a weapon. Given enough study, any scholar can master plasmology. Only a true Meister and Weapon team can master both. The knowledge you will learn in your three years of soul studies can and will save your life on a battlefield that, if you prove talented enough, you may step on as early as second year. Should you be found lacking, I guarantee you will not be seeing your third."

Whether that would be through expulsion or death, Catherine left unsaid. Those who really understood what it meant to be in the EAT class would understand regardless.

"A mistake in your knowledge of the soul, a misunderstanding, a miscalculation, a failure to identify and understand, can cost you your life in battle. If you cannot remember such knowledge in the calm, comfortable, safe confines of a classroom you will stand no chance attempting to even recall, let alone manipulate such knowledge, in the heat of combat where the enemy will never let you stop and think for a second."

She tapped her parasol on the ground for the final time.

"Therefore," she concluded, "For those who wish to go onto the EAT program, my only passing grade for the final exam is full marks."

Chimera just sleepily mumbled when a person shook her. She yawned and adjusted the sun glasses before stretching." Yay class." she quietly whispered.@olcharlieboi

Loki would chuckle slightly shaking his head and whisper "probably best not to sleep in class in the future" he says and smiles "a lot of work ahead of us" he whispers to her before looking back to front of the class and would start to think some about what he knew he'd have to do.

And with that, Catherine lifted her parasol, holding it under her arm, and nodded.

"Before I begin the lesson proper, are there any questions?"

"...No questions? Good." Catherine nodded, turning to the board and beginning to write. "The most basic concept of the soul is that a sound soul resounds within a sound body and a sound mind..."

The rest of the class was essentially the basics of Soul Studies, explaining just what the soul was - something which some of the students possibly already knew. That was good; it should mean they would have no trouble excelling in her exam and reaching the expected full marks.

Soon enough the bell would ring and Catherine, perhaps out of mercy, declined to assign any homework.

"Be sure to know these foundations well," she spoke even as the bell rang, "because we will be building upon them for the rest of the year."

She tapped her parasol on the ground once.

"Dismissed."

Joseph whistled, and grinned as he walked out of class, walking alongside Griffin as he always did. "Hey, the teach didn't hand out homework, or did any pop quiz crap, I think my constant violent urges are lowering..slightly." Joseph said with a wicked smile, his sharp teeth and red shades making him look even less friendly.

Joseph yawned, and looked at his wristwatch. "Have any ideas of what to do once were done with school? i'm thinking picking up chicks, or harassing newbies, but uh, i'm open to ideas, seeing as how both of those things are kind of jerk-y." Joseph wasn't at all concerned with his image, but he wanted Griffin, his partner's image, to be very pure, Joseph was weird like that.

Griffin rolled his eyes. He had nothing against picking up chicks. He loved woman. However he didn't like picking them up in bars or any of the other places that his partner thought they should go looking for girls. The type of girl he was looking for wouldn't be found in those places. Harassing newbies was fun occasionally but it got old fast. "Why don't we go get some lunch. Then we'll see if we can come up with something better to do."

Kari walked into the classroom just as the bell rang, though she didn't hear it thanks to the deafening music coming from the headphones around her ears. Looking up from the copy of "Shaman King" she was reading, she noticed the students getting ready to leave.
"Aw, hell. I didn't mean to totally miss the class. Oh well. Opting to at least find out what she missed, Kari walked over to who she assumed was the teacher @LaXnyd and pulled one of the earphones off her ear.
"Uh, hi. Is there like, a syllabus or something for this course? Did I miss any important first day stuff, or...?"

" Huh? Ugh. I so didn't understand anything from that lecture. Then again I don't understand anything other than music." Chimera mumbled to herself as she got up. Her eyes looked toward Loki, as if asking if he was coming to class now or later, before actually voicing the question." Hey Loki are you going to be late to he next class or not?"@olcharlieboi

He chuckled at Chimera "might want to study extra then, since we will be one of the pairs that would be going into EAT.. mainly because I have to do it eventually" he states to her as he stands and walks with her "Just morning classes are the ones I might be late for" he says "the teacher was bit late today so only reason I was on time, Dad's little martial arts training, and then my special lesson." he states "two things I have to learn which can make a lot more things easier for me"
