Ok, I'll make a note of it, what is Shay's father's name? I think you mentioned it... I'm going to include it in the Important Figures to Note section so we can keep track.

Sounds good to me (:

Really? That's quite shocking. Though I suppose everyone has their own special way of writing. I listen to music when I'm writing, and when I'm not writing, but listening to music, I envision the scenes for my writing.

Ok... So I kinda created a segment called Family Ties, explaining the relationships between the Alden's and Wallis'. It would only make sense for John and Adam, not sharing the same last name, to have the same mother, and would have been half-brothers? I went ahead and gave names to the family members, but if you don't like them, I can't totally change them ._. I just feel bad kinda making this, as I didn't let you do it, but my creative mind is kinda hard wired right now, and I didn't want to get confused on the relations down the road. I think, visually speaking, a family tree would look better for the Wallis/Alden family at least.

Better yet, I just made an entire family tree for the Alden/Wallis. Let me know what you think, or if there are things I need to change.

Shay's father's name is John Alden.

I see you already found that with the family tree. XD

I think for me I just find music distracting for the most part, it pulls me out of thought when it changes up. I don't have too many instrumental playlists either, so that's probably also a problem. o_o

The tree looks good! :D

Well yeah x) I just read through Shay's CS again, I couldn't recall either if you had mentioned his mother, or sister's name off the top of my head, so it helped.

That's quite alright ^.^! For example, I could never solve math problems while listening to music, it provided a huge distraction, and I would always forget how to do the problem, and so on. Writing, that's a different story. In fact, I have several playlists that I listen to while writing. For example, I have one called, Writing Inspirations. Another is Nature's Song (quite literally, bird songs, thunderstorms/rainstorms, wind, ocean wave, etc.), and my favorite is Everything Zen, aptly named after the Bush song, but it's similar to the aforementioned playlist, except this is just zen music. I like the ambience when I'm writing. Although, Writing Inspirations isn't ambient music, it's composed of actual songs. I keep my music low, so it's just background noise to me.

I'm glad you like it ^.^! It took me a good few hours today to get it just right. I tried searching for a generator, but failed, so I just went with Paint, and it'll do for now. At least we know who is who, and how they're all related!

'Tis why CSes are helpful! So we can remember small, silly details later. :D

I don't know why, I just never made time to really make playlists for anything. o_o I'm the kind of guy who owns things and barely uses half the functions they offer.

Oh man! A few hours? You're putting a lot of time and effort into little background bits!

That's right ^.^ kind of why I wanted to do a thread vs PM, so far, I think it's working out great!

Oh noooo don't say that D: that sounds like my mom. For example, she bought a compound bow over ten years ago, and it still sits in the same corner where she put it after Christmas. Then again, I do sewing when I feel like it, which has been very rare as of late, but it's been almost a full year since I've created anything with the oodles of fabric I have stashed away in a plastic bin.

Well if you know anything about digital art, Paint is the most primitive program that comes for free on the computer, it's difficult to do anything >.> most of those hours were spent lolly gagging around on the inter webs trying to figure out how to show relationships between family members.

I figure I would do just the same were I actually a GM for an RP of my own, I have in the past, but nothing this intense.

Makes sense! Sorry I didn't get to the reply today; I just was super blah when it came to writing.

And no no, I just mean stuff like computers and programs and devices and whatever, I just basically toy around with the basic functions and ignore a lot of the more powerful tools. >_> I don't even do keyboard shortcuts. Your sewing is like my rock carving; I need to spend more time with it!

Haha, paint is.. well, the most basic program ever. I usually just use it to quickly crop photos and resize them.

You've probably taken a look at how I organize my own RPs; virtually nothing is created by myself, past the text parts. o_o

Like I've said before ^.^ don't worry. It's been miserably hot here, so I didn't feel like writing anything at all.

Oh thank goodness! Yes my mom is a total pack rat, so I'm glad that you're like me in a way.

As for paint, oh man, I remember when I was little, and when my parents first got a computer. My brother and I used to argue over who would get to "draw" using paint.

I have noticed actually! :) I think it suits your RPs just fine that way, it takes a huge burden off of you that way.

It's getting pretty hot here, too! I also just started work today, so I haven't had time or energy to write when I got home. o_o

We should both pick up our put off hobbies. *nodnod*

I was lucky, when I was a kid I had a Super Nintendo with Mario Paint. I spent hours making all sorts of pictures on that thing. :D

Ah, thanks! :D I like to cover my bases with information overload. That way, people can't pull wool over my eyes and do something while claiming I never said they couldn't. My OOCs are the result of years of hard earned experience. >_>

So.. I was checking the wiki, but I don't think there was a prohibition in the UK at this time, except for the hours it can be sold. Is Shay talking about that? But I could be wrong, and misread everything D:

I must have been mistaken. I just tried to find any distilleries and what not for England and Ireland and couldn't find anything, but I thought I ran across something touchinh upon prohibition. O.o

I'll try and find the link again, I what I read. But the UK didn't have any prohibition, there was increased regulation, where alcohol could only be served till 12:30am unless with food, the reason why night clubs became so popular.

Yay! We're learning! :D I'm trying to be as period appropriate as possible, but some things I just can't manage to find for whatever reason.

I'm gonna try to post the next couple of days, I kind of hit the ground running with work and all that. Two days back and I'm already on call and was training a guy. Yay!

I know what you mean x) before I posted for Vera, I was googling stoves they had, and what would have been common. Gas is very common now, though I would suspect that the poorer sections, like in the East End have coal/wood burning stoves still.

That's alright, I'll be rather busy tomorrow. Regardless, take your time. But hooray for responsibility :D I've trained a few people when I was a shift leader at a sandwich shop, but I actually had to fire an employee /: made me feel so wretched. There are ups and downs to responsibility to every job, some, more fun than others. Anywho, I'm glad your back at work ^.^ a little normalcy returning to your life eh?

I feel like half of this game is doing some amateur history sleuthing, which is totally okay with me; I'm the kind of guy who reads non-fiction history books for fun. :D I did picture Shay having a wood stove.

And sorry about the wait, but there we be! Work's been crazy, I've been up since 4 in the morning, and getting back into the swing of things. Oh man, I couldn't imagine how shitty it is to fire somebody! I've been on the receiving end twice... I would hate to be the person doing it, mostly because I know it can seriously hurt their livelihoods. I am enjoying working again, and I am so grateful there's actually people to work with! It's not just me and one other person doing like 9 sites. o_o But yeah! It's great having a routine again! I don't have the free time to roleplay like I used to, but that's okay!

Yes xD several times, more than once, not just with this RP, I've had to google/wiki some simple answers. I'm in two other historically fiction rps, including a third that GC just started, though I'm not sure if my CS will be accepted. A lot of players from FoC have expressed interest. Being a sleuth, I like that (; lemme change things around in my previous post, and I can make it a wood-burning stove.

On a side note, I think I'm going camping tonight, so I'll be busy till about Monday! I don't think I'll have a post up until then.

Don't worry about posting, I understand that work gets in the way, it has before for me when I used to work two jobs, literally zapped all of my creative juices. All I could do is lay in bed at night and watch some Archer or Bob's Burgers before passing out x.x thank goodness the only person I get to fire is myself. Hooray for self-employment!

Man, trying to catch up on sleep while keeping up on RP obligations is exhausting. x.x

Sorry about the slow-ass reply to the OOC!

I'm totally interested in that RP he started, it would be super fun playing a KGB spy, but I am super full on RPs. >_>; Who all signed up?

And how was camping? I want to go so bad, but I can't until I get this stupid ostomy reversed. >_o

I got like 3 hours sleep last night. New neighbours who were moving shit around at like 11:30 at night and they have one of those insufferable small yappy piece of shit dogs that barks at everything, and it's driving my dog nuts. Also, yaaaas Archer. :D What do you do for a living?

Also, you forgot about the Google Hangouts! :o

I understand man >.>' been so fatigued these last few days, that I haven't given this much thought. RPG in general that is.

It's all good xD!

Well, I saw POOHEAD189, MiddleEarthRoze, and Peik that had expressed interest in the Interest Check when he put it up. Though, they haven't put any CS' up yet.

I actually didn't go camping ): but, we still went hiking, and fishing. Plus I got to see my first rattlesnake living out here. We got rained on, so I think it was a good idea that we didn't actually camp. We also don't have a tent, but we were planning on acquiring one, just never got around to it. We did catch four rainbow trout, haven't cooked them yet, but I'm looking forward to it! I've never eaten freshly caught fish.

Well, consider yourself lucky in a way xD when I lived with my roommate years ago, I would hear her getting drilled by her boyfriend, and let's just say...she was a screamer. So that kept me awake x), but hey, hopefully they're done moving shit in! And fuck their tiny dog >.> I used to have a Jack Russel Terrier, and when she got older, I think she was deaf, she would literally bark for 30 mins at any given time. Phone rang? Bark forever. Someone knocked on the door? Bark forever. Dropped a pan in the kitchen? Bark forever. I did love her, but we had to get rid of her when she bit my sister. Kinda her fault, cuz I warned her to leave the damned dog alone when she was chewing on a steak bone, but my fault too because I was babysitting her. Now my little sister has a toycup chihuaha and that thing is annoying as hell. I help families with life insurance and annuities, I actually work for several insurance companies, so I'm an insurance broker in a sense. Ever heard of Forester's?

I knowww xD I'll get on it.

Sometimes you really do need a break from writing. o_o; I feel much more able to write and inspired now I took some time off just to unwind from my big games.

That still sounds great! :D I love hiking, I was never a fishing kind of guy. Oh! Rattlesnakes are kinda nuts, I don't live anywhere where they live, so no venomous snakes for Dervs! And yeah, camping while raining is like ten kinds of suck. You were going to camp without owning a tent? XD Not a good way to learn how to pitch it. Oh nice! I think the last fish I caught was a rainbow trout, about ten inches? Biggest thing I ever caught.

Hahaha! Best way to deal with room mates like that is make it plainly obvious you're listening in and just yell shit like, "OH YEAH, DON'T FUCKING STOP! I'M GETTING THERE!" or whatever, make them really aware there's suddenly a crowd, and having an annoying third party tends to take most people out of the mood. :'D And yeah, small dogs have a contract with Satan to bark at literally every fucking thing in the universe. I hate them so much. I don't know why people find them appealing, at all. You want a small animal? Get a rabbit or a cat. Dogs need to weight at least 40-50 pounds, otherwise they're glorified sewer rats.

Oh nice! And nope, I don't think we have Forester's up here. o.o

Agreed. Speaking of taking a break from writing... I started a story... three months ago? Haven't touched it since. Kinda lost my mojo for it. I scrapped it all and restarted, I think that's where I might have gone wrong.

Well, the plan was to buy a tent first xD and then camp. But when the time came, we kinda just jumped in the car and went, no tent in tow. Me personally, I've only caught two fish my entire life, and I certainly didn't catch any fish this round, then again, I personally didn't fish. It was my boyfriend and his brother. I put my feet in the water, and relaxed in the sun! I caught a blue gill when I was 7, and a small-mouth bass when I was 12, nothing since /: I kinda feel cursed. Like they know I'm coming, so they all swim away!

I should've!!! One time, before I moved my tv into my bedroom, I was playing Skyrim in the living room, and the door to her room was cracked open (we lived in a duplex, and we lived on the second floor, but there was an attic room that was used as her bedroom, so there was a set of stairs.), and her boyfriend came flying down the stairs and was rather surprised that I was sitting there. He asked me if I heard anything, and I said, "Course I did! But I don't mind, I'm just trying to level up over here... a little focused right now." I moved my tv the next day xD funny thing about that, when I was sick, they would check on me, and the only way they knew I was really really sick was when I didn't have a controller in my hand, and the blankets pulled up to my chin. They were like my adoptive parents in a way. She was a year older than me, and him... as old as my dad, but hey, we were all a bunch of nerds, so it worked out rather well.

I agree with you on that! I really want a cat so bad D: like it pains me Dervs. I watch all these cat videos, and read these cat memes, and it literally breaks my heart. I can't wait till we get our own house and I can have all the kittehs I want :'D!!!

Yes you do xD. Forester's is from Canada. But they offer products here in America, so I'm contracted with them. They're one of the oldest insurance companies in North America, about 145 years I think? But point being, they offer great products for people, if you're ever in need of life insurance, I strongly recommend them. And hey, avoid anything where you have to give blood or urine samples, when applying for coverage, because it will simply DESTROY your insurability. There are products out there where you don't have to get testing done, unless of course that's the only thing you can acquire coverage. I don't know if that's a problem up there, but it is here. I know so many families where they've applied with another company, and they've taken their medicals, kinda really screws up their chance at getting cheaper coverage in the long run.

All right xD enough insurance jargon over here!
