Skip dusted himself off and brushed off his bike.
He turned to her and said,"Yeah I would like that thanks.Wanna' maybe grab a pizza and some sodas while we are there?My treat.After all a gentleman of my calibre always takes care of a pretty young lady like yourself.And trust me, I've a lot more to show off other than just my charm and helpful persona."
He said with a big smile.
He popped her trunk and stuffed in his bike and then helped himself into her passenger seat.

"Aight chmon',"He said, giving her dashboard a hard slap,"let's go!"

Mary knew this guy wasn't going to give up, but a pizza and a soda wouldn't hurt. "Alright, as long as it's not a date" she said with a smile as she then got into the drivers seat of the car, "Hey did you're friends want to come?" she asked as she then pulled out of the parking space and pulled up to where Damien and his other friend was. "Hey were getting some pizza!" she called out. "Wanna come?" she asked as she waited for the guys answer.

"N-No no, they-they don't wanna' come."Skip stuttered.

Damien smiled and said,"Thank you but no.I'm can't I'm sorry, I need to get home.Maybe we can hang out tomorrow."

Just then a bus horn could be heard blaring.
Damien and Kenyon hopped up from the bench along with the others.
Damien spoke,"Here's our ride.Hey I'll find you tomorrow at lunch."
He and the others all went piling onto the bus.

Skip turned to Mary,"See he'll find you tomorrow at lunch."He said with a goofy grin.
He looked in her review mirror and checked his hair then continued.
"Right now is our time sweetheart.Now,off to Pizza Hut we go!Oh by the way girl what's yo name?"

Mary looked over at him with a weird look when he stuttered saying that they didn't want to go get pizza. She then looked over at Damien and he said he had to get home. "Okay see you tomorrow then" She watched as they all went into the buss and Skip fixed his hair. She raised an eyebrow at him. She looked at Skip and just smiled "My name is Mary" she replied as she then put the car back into Drive and headed off to the pizza hut.

"Alright off to pizza hut" she said with a laugh and then drove. As they got there she then got out of the car stuffing the keys back into her purse. "Well this is going to be interesting" she thought, maybe he thought this was a date, she hoped not. "What kind of pizza do you like?" she asked as they walked in, she decided to ask for an application after they had done eating, because if they wanted an interview she didn't was Skip to be left alone. They went in and took a booth seat by the front window and waited for the waitor/waitress to take their order.

Skip looked through the menu for a minute.
After looking for a few minutes he spoke up.

"Im feeling a three cheese pizza,"He said with a smile,"I'm thinking mozzarella,cheddar, and American.Yeah that sounds good!And a large Coke to go with it,yeah.As for desert I'm thinking sugar,"he said with a sly smile,"something with sugar,that is."

Just then Mary received a text from Tamisha.

Tamisha-So I just passed by the Pizza Hut and saw you going in there with Skip.Whats the deal girl you asking for trouble!

Mary looked at the menu as they tried to decide what to get for a pizza, she liked almost anything but cheese was her favorite. Just then he spoke up and said that he wanted a three cheese pizza. "No way, that's my favorite! I love cheese pizza! We'll go with that" She said with a smile. "I'm just gonna go with a water" she replied as she set her menu down to show she was done selecting what she wanted to have.

Just then the waitor came up and he smiled at Mary, "Good evening sir and ma'am, what can I get for you guys?" Mary looked over at Skip then the waitor, "We'd like a three cheese pizza with Mozzerella, cheddar and american cheese please. He will have a Large coke and I will have just water please, thank you" the boy nodded with the order, took the menus and said "I'll get that started for you" and walked off.

"Bzz Bzz" Mary's phone had rang, she then looked at it and saw the text from Tamisha, she sighed and replied.

Relax, he just fell in a pothole, and fell face first in some dirt and wrecked his bike, all the while trying to get by me to talk to me, and then I offered him a ride home so he could fix his bike, and since I was applying to work at Pizza hut anyways, he asked if we could get some pizza and soda, I said sure as long as it’s not a date

Tamisha-Well just b careful girl he trouble.Dont let his childish behavior and iq of 5 fool ya.He might've dun that on purpose to get u to b nice to him cuz u felt sorry.Ima text ya later got hmwrk

Skip was smiling at her and said,"You know homecoming's next month, a sweet little queen like you needs a date.A homecoming date that is,"he said smiling slightly,"I need one too.No one wants to go to a dance alone.So how bout sweetheart, would ya' be my homecoming date?"His smile had turned into a grin by now.
He looked around for a minute then quickly continued,"Okay,hey tell ya' what,I'll ask you again over a nice dinner.Give you time to think it over.I promise you, I have so much more to offer than you've already had the pleasure of seeing.No one would make a better date than me."He finished with a slight snicker.

The waiter returned with their drinks and a large steaming three cheese pizza.
It was a good foot from one edge to the other and neatly sliced with the cheese melted to practically liquid.

"Alright enjoy!You guys need anything else?"He asked helpfully.

Mary read the text that Tamisha sent her.

Mary went wide eyed when he asked her to go to the homecoming dance, she then was saved by the pizza coming. She smiled at the waiter, "No thanks this will be everything" she responded and then she excused herself to pray once more. Then she looked up at him. "Look, I didn't mean for this to seem like a date. I just- I don't really know you, and I felt really bad that you got hurt, and your friends were just making fun of you instead of helping. And I figured you needed a ride home and you couldn't put your bike on the bus…" she trailed off not sure what else she could say, she sighed and started eating her pizza, she really hoped she didn't upset him.

He seemed at first like just some guy who wanted to hook up with her, but then now he seemed okay, but she just wasn't interested. She just wasn't quite sure about this guy, weather or not he was a nice guy, or he just thought really highly of himself.

Skip sighed as he picked up a slice of pizza and munched on it.
After finishing it he said,"Look, I'll give you some time to think about it.Trust me, you'll come around to see how viable of an option that I be.I'm willing to place money on it hunny.Sweet young fireballs like you need time to accept what's best.I will await your answer."He finished with a confident smile.

He wolfed down another slice of pizza and had to get a refill on his drink that he's been steady sipping on since it had arrived.
He smiled and said,"Now anyway, what I-"
He was interrupted by his phone ringing from his pocket, which was playing I Luv Dem Strippers by 2 Chainz.

He calmly answered it,"Hello?Oh yeah!"

He paused for a minute to listen before responding back,"I gotcha',yup'.Okay well I'll be there as soon as I can.Aight, see ya'."
He hung up, quickly gobbled down another slice of pizza and took another sip of Coke and then spoke to Mary.

"Just think about it.Ill be awaiting.Here it's on me,"he said placing a twenty near her on the table,"could you unlock your car so I can get my bike out, by the way?"He asked as he headed for the door.

(OOC-You can post about letting him have the bike and him leaving.)

Mary had felt bad that she said no. This guy seemed to like her, but she wasn't sure. A small sigh escaped as he then told her to think about it once more and implied that this was an offer she didn't want to miss. She raised an eyebrow when he said he'd bet money on her coming around and actually going with him to the dance and dating him. "Oh, so I'm just a bet to you then?" she said with slight anger. She paused as his phone had rang.

She sighed when he said he had to leave, so she then grabbed her keys and unlocked the door from where she was at. "There" she said as she popped the trunk so he could get his bike and leave. After he left she then finished the slice of pizza she had on her plate, finished her water and paid for the bill. Mary then made her way to the front entrance and asked for a job application, she filled it out and asked for a manager. "Sorry the manager won't be back until tomorrow" the girl replied to her, "Alright I'll come back then" Mary responded and headed out the door and into her Subaru to head home for the day.

SPETEMBER 20, TUESDAY, THE NEXT DAY

Damien, Skip, and, Kenyon all sat together at lunch.
Damien and Skip had their usual hoodies and shoes on with faded Abercrombie jeans.
Kenyon had on sweat pants and a red hoodie and some orange KD's, he had short buzzed kinked hair and a thin mustache and a face that made him look older than he actually is.He was a junior and had played basketball at Willow Brook since eighth grade.
He was the same height as Damien but was stockier and thicker, as he spent most of his weekend time in the gym hitting heavyweights.

They had all finished their lunch and were chatting away.
Kenyon snorted and said,"So Romeo did you win the new girls heart yet?"

Skip smiled and responded,"Well not per se' but she'll come around.We went out for pizza and I asked her to homecoming."

Damien raised his eyebrow at Skip,"A month in advance?"
Skip shrugged and replied,"Hey a fine little fireball like her is bound to get plenty of offers by next month I betcha'."

Kenyon snorted again,"And they'll all beat you out."

Skip held is hand up to Kenyon's face and said,"Do not throw your jealous energy my way young man.Your just mad you don't have a shot with her."

"Niether do you."Kenyon said flatly resulting in laughter from Damien.
Damien turned looked around until he saw her, she was sitting with Amanda and Tamisha.

He stood and said,"Scuze' me fellas I almost forgot I have another engagement."He finished with a smile.
He headed over to the three girls table.

Tamisha was speaking to Mary about how she should join the cheer squad and how much fun they all had when she saw Damien coming.
"Uh-oh Mary here comes your friend."She said with a joking smile.

Today Mary seemed to be in a better mood. She let yesterday pass her, and she didn't let that Skip guy get to her head. She didn't need to worry about it, she just wasn't interested. Today she wore a red long sleeved plain shirt along with a long black skirt and her sneakers. She didn't feel like really dressing up today. She knew today was going to be a good day.

Mary smiled talking to Tamisha and Amanda about the cheer squad, "Yea that'll be soo much fun! When do I try out!" she asked very excited. She never has done something like that before, she doesn't even know if she is even flexible, but she figured she'd at least give it a shot, and hey if she was good at it that was another plus! She wondered why Skip hadn't messed with her today yet, maybe he decided to give her space?

Tamisha then looked over and saw someone, Mary had her back faced towards the guys table, and she looked at Tamisha with a confused look when she said that, she thought maybe it was Skip, so she rolled her eyes with a smile and then turn around to see Damien. Her face instantly went red. "Oh hi!" she responded as she then turned back to Amanda and Tamisha with a look of 'did I just do that' mentally face palming herself. She didn't know why she instantly did that but, she felt embarrassed. She didn't forget that he said he'd eat lunch with her, but she figured he forgot because he wasn't there.

She then tried to figure out anything else to say, but couldn't. She then started to eat her lunch.

(OOC- A guy friend of mine (Who I like, and he knows -.-) says "Oh hi" all the time, and my sister, and my best friend whenever I am upset or sad or anything like that they just say "Oh hi" and instantly I just laugh because that reminds me of how he says it.)

Damien grinned in response and said,"Hi!"with a big smile showing off his pearly whites.
He hugged Amanda and Tamisha and go I go them both a friendly,"What's up?"

He took a seat by Tamisha and asked Amanda where Henry was.
She responded saying he always went down the street to the Pizza Hut for lunch cause he said it was probably healthier than what the school cafeteria served.
This illicited laughter from them all.
He then spoke to Mary,"So, um, my name is Damien Baxter, firstly, and secondly I'm here to officially apologize for my twisted wizard homie Skip.He can be a bit much as you probably learned all through yesterday."

"A bit?"Tamisha asked sarcastically.
Damien chuckled and responded with a sigh,"Okay yes too much period,"he turned back to Mary,"look whatever he might've said just don't let it get to you.He freaks out every girl he talks to and pisses off most guys he talks to cuz' of his smug personality.And listen, I know yesterday you were just trying to be helpful and nice to him but you see the problem is now he thinks he has a shot with you."

Tamisha gave Mary a little look that said I told you so.

Damien nodded awkwardly,"Yeah you gave him the wrong picture.He's been talking to me and K-Mart all lunch about the unseen connection you two are building on."
This caused Amanda to snort.

Tamisha spoke up finally,"Mary trust us it's better to just stay away from him he's cray-cray."
Damien groaned and said,"Y'all he's not 'cray-cray'.

"Then what is he?"Amanda demanded.

Damien started to speak but just sighed and shrugged.

Mary smiled by his response to her reaction. He sat in front of her and then he started talking about skip. "Well, I'm Mary Jones, and it's okay. I guess, I tried to tell him that I didn't like him, but he kept saying that I'll come around" she said and looked at Tamisha and she had the look of 'I told you so' she then had a guilty look on her face and looked down at her plate when Damien was speaking how Skip now can't stop talking about how they have some sort of connection. She felt really bad. "I was just trying to be nice…" she trailed off.

She looked up at the three of them, "So what do I do now?" she asked in response to everyone, she didn't know what she needed to do. Obviously telling him she doesn't like him wasn't going to work. She then smirked at what she had thought earlier, "I was thinking yesterday, I could always pretend I got a boyfriend" she laughed, "But that probably wouldn't even stop him" she smirked at that and shook her head at the thought. That would never work.

Damien shook his head,"Nope, that's one reason don't many guys here like him.He tries to steal their girlfriends, then when they try to back him down he starts throwing fists wanting to fight."

Amanda put her arm around Mary,"He tried that with me and Henry sophomore year.Henry warned him, Skip wouldn't back off, then he tried to act big and macho like."

Tamisha took a drink of milk and spoke up,"Then Henry whooped his ass."
Amanda nodded sheepishly,"They both got suspended and Henry had to get stitches in his lip, but Skip stayed away from us from then on."

Tamisha spoke to Mary,"It's good that your nice and sweet, Skip took advantage of you, don't feel bad, it's him not you your a perfectly good person."She said assuredly.

Damien rubbed his nose and spoke up,"Hey look, me and K-Mart were planning on hanging out at the Mall on Saturday afternnon.Maybe y'all could come hang out with us,"he pointed at Amanda,"you could bring Henry too, me and him are pretty cool."
Tamisha nodded,"Cool,I'm in."
Amanda nodded too,"Yeah that sounds good."
Damien smiled,"Alright sweet, we'll be at the food court at twelve sharp.Just me and him, Skip has to work so he can't come."

"Good."Tamisha said sharply.
Damien ignored her and asked Mary,"How about you Mary?You can come right?I promise Skip won't be there."

Mary sighed, guess that plan wouldn't work. Not that she was even going to even do that or something. Besides, she didn't like to lie. Hearing all that happened between Skip and Henry Mary grimiced at the mention of stiches "That bad?" she said sigh a sigh, guess that plan really wasn't going to work, but what if she ends up dating someone? How would it all work out then? She didn't need to worry about that though, that was a far ways away, who knows how long.

She smiled when they tried to reasure her it wasn't her fault, it was Skips. And she was just being nice. Damien was talking about the food court in the mall, she knew that if Skip was going to be there she couldn't come, she already has to deal with him at school, there was no way she was going to go see him outside of school. Then Damien asked her specifically if she could come, she smiled when he said skip wouldn't be here. "Sure I'll come" she was happy to have friends, espeically going all summer without them because she just moved here. "You know, I thought my first days at a new school would be different. Well, they are, but in a good way" she said smiling at the three.

(OOC-I'm going to be doing something in an hour, from 1:30-2:30ish (Currently 12:00) I'll be home around 3 and can continue but I can still reply till then)

Damien laughed,"Well that's one thing about this school, it is a very different place, but like you said in a good way."

Tamisha nodded in agreement then spoke,"I told her she needs to apply for cheer squad, I think she'd be good."

Damien nodded in agreement after listening,"Yeah I think you should too, it's a lot of fun I hear and everyone gets along pretty good.Well, at least-"
"Everybody but April,"Tamisha commented,"but don't worry about her nobody like her.Not even the cheer coach and she loves everybody."

Amanda finally spoke up,"Tryouts are in early October, I'm not sure of the exact date though.Ill let you know."

The lunch bell rang loudly.
Damien stood and said,"Aight y'all see y'all Saturday at noon in the food court."
He turned and walked off and Tamisha and Amanda both left to go to their sclasses.

(OOC-You can do a post about the rest of the day or week up until Friday if you want.My next post will skip to Saturday at the mall.)

Mary smiled at the fact Damien thought it was also a good idea that she join the Cheer squad. "I think it'll be fun" she replied as she then said their goodbyes and made sure to watch for that April girl. As the day went on Mary continue with her school work and her homework. The week was pretty well, she liked the fact that she was going out with Damien, Tamisha, Amanda, and a guy referred to as K-Mart. She liked more so that that guy Skip wouldn't be there. Mostly because she didn't want to have to deal with him all over her wanting to talk to her and she wanted to talk to other people as well.

"Alright ma I'll be home later!" Mary replied as she then said bye to her mother and then headed out into the street to get her Subaru, she then headed over to the mall. It was about 11:45, she didn't want too early, but she didn't want to be late either. She figured if Tamisha and Amanda weren't there, or Damien or K-mart she'd just wait, she didn't mind waiting. She sat at a table near by some doors, she wasn't sure which set of doors the group would come in on, but she knew they'd find her either way.

Damien, Kenyon, Amanda, and Tamisha all came walking through the doors that Mary was near.
They had all parked in the same parking lot and had seen each other so just walked on in together.
Kenyon had gave Damien a ride and Amanda had picked up Tamisha on her way.

When they saw Mary they all waved and came walking over.
They were all wearing shorts, the girls wore sandals and tank tops while Damien wore his hoody and Kenyon wore a black muscle shirt and they both wore their usual basketball shoes.
They all greeted her and introduced Kenyon.
His full name was Kenyon Marcine' but they called him K-Mart based on his initials.
His father was from Nigeria and his mother was of Creole descent, they had met when they attended St.John's University in New York and dated through college and married after graduating.

Damien asked where Henry was and Amanda told him,"His dad is having a big neighborhood barbecue this afternoon and he told Henry he couldn't miss it."

Kenyon spoke up and said,"Hey D are we going to GameStop?"
Damien snorted and said,"Yes dude hold on,"he turned to the girls and said,"hey me and him are going to go look in GameStop, y'all go browse around a little if you want and we can meet back here in thirty minutes for lunch."
Kenyon pulled Damien along and they headed off to GameStop.

Amanda turned and asked Mary,"Where you wanna' go?I usually go to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Victoria Secret, Shoe Show, and or Spencer's.Earthbound sometimes too.Its up to you though."
Tamisha chined in while looking at her phone,"Yeah anywhere's good with me."

Mary looked around as she waited for her friends to arrive. She smiled the instant she saw all of them. "Hey guys!" she replied standing up to greet them all. Then they introduced Kenyan and she smiled and introduced herself as well. "Nice to meet you" she replied and then turned to Damien as he said they were going to go to game stop. "Alright we'll meet you back here then" and then she turned to the girls.

After hearing what the girls suggested they'd go to she smiled, "I like all of those, except spencers. " then she thought for a minute, "Let's go to Victoria Secret first, just in case the guys decided they wanted to come find us instead of meet here" she laughed as they headed over to Victoria's secret. She liked that place, although they had expensive clothing.
