Tamisha and Amanda took her to all the different stores in the mall they had described, other than Spencer's.
They also stopped in at Abercrombie, Old Navy, Sears, and even in Verizon to look around at the new phones.
Tamisha didn't buy anything but Amanda bought a new strawberry red phone case and a Minion key chain from the movie Despicable Me.
She also bought a sugar and cinnamon pretzel at a vendor in the main hallway.
Tamisha joked that she needed to keep her calories low that she didn't need to "chunk up" cause cheer tryouts were in a few weeks.
Amanda indignantly stated that her evening Zumba session would fix that.
After that the two girls led her back to the food court where Kenyon and Damien sat at a table eating Chinese food.
Kenyon had a GameStop bag sitting by him on the bench.

Damien had teriyaki chicken, dumplings, and vegetable lo mein.
Kenyon had General Tsao's chicken, fried vegetable rice and pot stickers and both guys had water to drink.
They both looked up and waved as the girls approached.
Amanda indignantly stated,"You started without us?"
Kenyon snarfed down a piece of chicken and replied,"Well y'all were fifteen minutes late and we was hongry'."

Tamisha laughed and jokingly said,"Still though true gentleman wait for the ladies before eating."
Kenyon shrugged and said,"Sorry but our stomachs ain't gentleman they Vikings."
Everyone laughed at this.

Amanda asked Mary what she wanted to eat, Tamisha was getting Subway and Amanda was going to get Raising Canes.

The food court itself has Panda Express, McDonald's, Chick-Fil-A, Raising Canes, a sushi bar called Otomo's, Subway, Starbucks, Popeyes, and a salad and smoothie bar called Herman's.

Mary had a lot of fun going out and shopping with the girls. Even if she didn't get anything. She did like some stuff but she had to wait until she heard back from that Pizza hut place to see if she got the job. She wasn't sure if she got it or not, but only time will tell. She then smiled when seeing Damien and K-Mart. Then saw they had food already and raised her eyebrow, then realized they were practically starving, "Well another fifteen minutes wouldn't have killed you" she said in a playful manor.

"I'm getting subway" she replied as she walked over and got a meatball sub on Parmesan oregano bread, and all she had on it was shredded cheese, olives, and Parmesan and oregano. After getting her food she made her way back to the table with the guys and sat down. She paused to pray once more and then started eating her food. This was her favorite sub at subway, she loved it. "So what are your plans after this?" she asked in general wondering who would answer the question. It was nice not having Skip to maul her practically when he sees her.

Kenyon looked at his phone, it was 1:15.
He spoke,"I probably need to be getting home now, I told my parents I'd mow the lawn and clean the garage."
Damien nodded and said,"Looks like I'm going home too, he's my ride."He pointed to Kenyon with a chuckle.
Both boys stood and gave all three girls big hugs.
Kenyon spoke,"Alright see y'all Monday."
Tamisha and Amanda both said their goodbyes and sat back down to finish their food.
He and Damien turned to leave, however Damien quickly gave Mary a piece of napkin, it had his number wrote on it.
He gave her a small smile and rushed to catch up with Kenyon who was already out the doors.
Tamisha and Amanda didn't notice as they were finishing up their food.

Tamisha spoke,"We probably need to get home too, I'm stuffed and I'm ready for a nap."
"Same."Amanda said stretching.
Both girls gave Mary a big hug and left and said they'd see her Monday.

Mary was a little disappointed that Damien said he had to leave. He gave her a big hug, as well the other girls, so that didn't phase her as much. What did was when she watched Damien leave and he quickly stopped, handed her a napkin and ran to go catch up with his friend. She smiled at him when he gave it to her and looked down, it had his number on it. Looking up she realized that Amanda and Tamisha didn't notice, so she quickly stuffed it in her purse and then finished eating. "Alright see you guys on Monday!" she exclaimed with a smile then went to throw her trash away. When the girls were out of sight she then grabbed the napkin from her purse and added Damien's number. She hesitated and decided not to text him right away, that would seem desperate. Plus he didn't even know her number.

She debated it once more, then decided to text him.

After sending the text she wondered if she should've said it was her or not, so she quickly sent another text.

This is Mary btw

After sending the last text she then headed back to her car and decided to head over to the pizza hut to see if they had looked at her application or not. She walked in and smiled politely. "May I speak with a manager please?" Mary asked the guy went to go get one. It was a lady manager, "Can I help you?" she asked. Mary smiled and stuck out her hand for a shake "I'm Mary Jones, I had put an application in on Monday I was just wondering if you had the chance to look it over?" she asked and then as they continued the lady did have a chance to look it over, and Mary got the job. "When can you start?" she asked very excited to have Mary starting. "Um, Monday after school?" she suggested unsure of what her schedule would be.

"That'd be perfect, you can just come at 5, it'll give you time to go home and change" she replied with a smile and went back to her work. Mary was very happy she got the job and she text both Tamisha and Amanda in a group text.

I GOT THE JOB! I start Monday at 5

She suddenly realized, she didn't really leave time for cheer practice if she ever got on the squad, but she would worry about that later. She wanted to get a good standing with these people before requesting to come in later due to cheer practice. That is, if she actually get accepted into the squad, she really hoped so. That way she can spend time with her friends more, especially since she'd be working now, she wont have much time. Depending on her actual schedule.

Damien had gotten Mary's text shortly after Kenyon had dropped him off.
He was in his room playing NBA 2k16 on his PS3.
He read the messages and when he saw it was Mary he saved her number and texted her back.

Damien-I gotcha.this is Damien :p

He sat his phone down in his thigh so he'd feel it vibrate when she texted.
"Splash!"He compulsively called out as his player in the game hit a three pointer.
"Simmer down Mr.2K."Came his moms voice from the next room.
"Sorry." He said back loudly.

Amanda and Tamisha both texted her back.
Tamisha-You go boo
Amanda-Great job!

Mary then headed home and when she got home she heard her phone buzz. It was a text from Damien she smiled at it. She wasn't quite sure what to say next, so she waited to see if she would come up with anything. She sadly didn't so she then just text back the girls.

Thanks, but this might interfere with cheer practice if I get in, but I'll worry about that a different time

A small sigh as she sent the text then she went in and ate dinner. "I'm going to go do homework" she replied as she then went to finish her homework. IT didn't take much effort but because she was meeting everyone at the mall today she didn't finish it last night. So she needed to finish it today because tomorrow was Sunday and she needed to head to church.
