No if anything, I'm more Marvel than DC, but even still, I don't recognize any of those names except for a few of them. I don't read lots of comics unless I happen upon them somewhere. Part of the reason I wanted in on this was because I thought that people would be going more along the lines of the OC route, but it seems like people wanna do established characters or gender-swapped ones and I'm not sure I can keep up

@FantasyChicStargirl is a more obscure character who was part of the JSA so don't sweat if you don't know her.

Right. I had a very elaborate way of saying exactly that when I accidentally refreshed my page. Most information should be in the Character Sheet and if you want to know more you can look the name up in Youtube and there is bound to be a full analysis of any character you need.

Also, @Polyphemus, Will you be the hardcore dark and gritty Question from the comics, or the conspiracy nut with the best line ever in Justice League Unlimited? I still cannot believe someone chose The Question before I could. You are officially amazing.

@The Kid Lantern @Rin Ystin and B'wanna is just the kind of characters I'd hoped to see. C-listers getting their chance to shine.

@Blue Demon Dependent on how many players we end up with, though initially I'm going to say 1 character per player. After they've established they're first character players can apply for a second. I'll add that info to the first OOC post though.

@FantasyChic Don't sweat it too much, if you get confused just ask and we'll try to clear things up. . . or at least most of us will. Hillan will just go out of his way to be a twat, but you knew that about him already.

@FantasyChic I'm more of a Marvel guy myself, but if you don't know any of the names, there's always use of the Wiki.

I don't read comics from any of the verses, but I've done quite a bit of online research (the amount of stuff on the internet that nerds put out is fucking amazing and helps me nerd out myself). Mostly, I just know shit about Batman and the Batfam. Most of the deal with Superman stuff that doesn't deal with Conner, Kara, or Clark I'm usually lost on. I grew up with the Teen Titans, though, so I'm at least familiar with Dick and all of them. Regardless, if I do get confused by what's going on, I try my best to figure them out and if not, simply ask questions. There's always a stigma before heading into one of these things concerning people more knowledgeable in the fan base, but usually if you ask nicely enough, they'll either tell you out right or point you in the right direction. Most of the time, with Comics being so incredibly twisted with all its timelines and verses, it's simpler to just point a person in the direction they can get the information. 'Cause no one wants to sit here and write a dissertation on a certain Arc in a comic, cause it'll just lead to explaining tie ins and other information you get from reading other issues or other comics entirely.

But, yeah, if you get confused about the names and the places, all you gotta do is Google it. You'll get plenty of information and it doesn't hurt to look for comics online too - though, I've yet to find time to read any that haven't been a few issues of Extraordinary X-Men.

I'm a HUGE fan of the O'Neil run on the character, they're probably my favorite superhero comics, so I'm basing him more on that. Though I don't want to be super angsty and grimdark or anything, I guess I'm aiming more for a mature and serious character to counteract all the young blood. My plan for his story arc is for him to gradually become less cynical and more optimistic.

I've wanted to play The Question for years, but it seems like every time I join a DC RP someone always swoops him up before me (and usually plays him as a useless goofball). So I'm glad I was finally first to the mat.

I've read a few different comics on him, but it's been too long to really differentiate them... was that the one where he was trained by Lady Shiva after nearly/not-so-nearly dying with all the mysticism and stuff? I wasn't a particular fan of that story arc, but the character was still really nicely done.

I'll admit I fell in love with the (rather goofy) JL:U version of his character and he is still quite possibly my favourite superhero ever (especially since he wasn't so goofy near the end), but the character as a whole is really strong. I just never imagined he was that popular.

Really looking forward to see how you wield him!
