There was nothing; neither to be seen, heard, nor smelled amongst the abyss; not even time had a meaning, an understanding a reality nor a purpose. Nothing existed nothing had been, no indication of a past, present, future- Something difficult to understand nor comprehend to the inhabitants of a world not yet born.



A blue orb of light pierced through the nothingness, a reality born yet reborn; a nothingness now something within the void of existence. The orb, a rune of stone and iron illuminated through the void like a brilliant comet of blue, paving a way for reality and existence in a world once cold and dark. A thunderous sound erupted from the object, the first thing to ever be played, yet unheard to ears. Stretching into the darkness, the rune imprinted a blueprint of rock and stone before itself, generating a vast terrain, a foundation to lay itself upon within the darkness.

The rune relaxed, laying stationary within the confines of a mighty chasm or mountainous rock and confined steel, the rune displayed signatures of ancient markings and glyphs, a mystery which would possibly never been discovered nor understood.

As the newly generated construct of time panned onward, the rune brought shape to gravity as several towering rocks and began to spiral and rotate around a newly erupting blue beam of energy, so brilliant and bright yet blue like a sapphire.

Within this beam, a new reality was taking form, a reality built by two fundamental factors, shared between each half of the rune stone. These factors were the brilliance of science and the wonders of magic, two equally powerful elements that would soon take form to create a reality, a world in which both strived and lived together in equal harmony.

Yet, something was awry, the towering mountain in which the stone, the keeper had called home began to quake violently with violent force. The rune itself then began to tremor, the rock and metal within the very object would begin to rip itself apart with each passing moment. Eventually the rune could no longer take the pressure, cracking into two individual halves bringing an immediate imbalance to the generation of the new reality.

Both Science and Magic had been split, pathing way into two similar realities, alternative dimensions each with the same building blocks of life which are completely mirrored to each other besides the difference in governing rules that had created them.

In view from the Keeper, two colossal portals could be observed from the distance, a gateway to each universe, a look into a similar yet vastly different world.

As the light begun to fade from the centre of the stone, a mysterious figure passed towards it on foot, observing it with translucent eyes – a figure not yet known nor understood but with a motivation soon to be made clear.

The figure watched timelessly through the portals of each reality, it's eyes focused upon two sisters, living within either reality. Each the same as their alternative selves yet also different in certain aspects, each identical couple being split by reality and time, living in similar circumstances. Violet and Viola the same essence of a singular girl split between realities while her sister shared the same fate, split in similar circumstances as Addison and Adelaide.

In the days of present vivid dreams, dreams of each-other begun to plague the minds of both Violet and Viola, dreams of viewing into each of their realities which felt far too real to be a dream.

Besides their own vastly different worlds, they both dreamed about the mysterious reality, the keeper, the vortex of existence yet somehow they could communicate within this space... It was truly a mystery to them, something they couldn't comprehend but somehow, they were connected.. and yet unknown to their sisters, so were they.

An event was coming, something unexpected, and awakening as the rune within the realm of the keeper, as the beings eyes focused in and the rune began to tremble once again.

A world formed by science and industrial might, the people of Cyris embraced the wonders of knowledge and understanding; giving them the will and power to construct wondrous cities, advances in transportation, robotics and extremely advanced power sources; with such unbelievable levels of technological prowess, city 24, one of the leading and largest cities within Cyris to be born, build and designed by some of the greatest minds that humanity had to offer. Instead of countries, cities took their place, some so large that they span thousands of miles in all directions, City 24 being no exception in this matter.

Like all cities and places with a large populace, there are several district that accommodate those dependant on their importance and personal wealth, however city 24 expresses this with the closer you are to the sky, the higher of importance and personal status you are amongst the other cities inhabitants and the lower you are to the surface, the less desirable you are, a place populated by the poorest of civilians.

The city is split into five separate districts:

Sky District – The sky district is home to city 24’s trillionares, the CEO’s families of several super corporations which now rule the planet, holding more power now that governments ever had done in the past. The district is filled with breath-taking views of the skyline, lush gardens and lakes, simply a utopia of unfathomable beauty, giant glass towers rise up into the sky from the highest platform of the city where the richest people call home. The district is filled with the most luxurious stores, restaurants and public locations, and everybody within this location is of a high social status, district passes are required to access such area’s to keep out undesirables.

Tower District – Although not as beautiful and luxurious as the sky district, the tower district is home to many of the cities millionaires and billionaires, still featuring a view of the sky and beautiful leisure locations, the homes and apartments here are incredibly luxurious, the Tower district is sometimes preferred due to its high quality nightlife and less posh environments when compared to the sky district, although at a lower level from the top, may people would still consider this district ridiculously expensive and unreachable, meanwhile the sky district is the land of gods and queens.

China District – The Upper/Middle ground of the city, unique in styling with an Asian theme featured throughout the dark city streets, famous for its fresh food markets and noodle bars, the majority of highly skilled workers and upper class families live here. The streets are complete with large arrays of neon signs yet with a slightly stronger security presence as climbing higher than this district requires a certain social status, income and permit, meaning many people will never see the light of day.

Industrial District – Home to the lower working class of city 24’s inhabitants. Home to 80% of the cities factories and warehouses, considered to be fairly undesirable, dark and unsuitable for family visitation, although not the worst of all the districts it’s home to many strip clubs, bars and dance clubs, the black market can also be found here as well as a large police presence keeping the peace.

Zero District – Considered as one of the worst possible places to live in the entire city. Located at the surface of the planet itself, a concrete ruin of rock and metal plagued in eternal darkness, a lawless zone with no police presence due to how dangerous and unpredictable the area is. 90% of the city’s crime and homicide cases occur here as well as illegal drug dealing. Its in-fact so dangerous that people born and living above this district level aren’t allowed access as the location is efficiently quarantined, although people do sometimes find ways to slip in and out of this dark forsaken place.

Within the city, the Deveraux twins live within the highest level of the Tower district due to their father’s personal social status and the occupations that they hold, living within a huge apartment complete with five individual floors, the lower three floors making up the bedrooms and living areas for the sisters and their parents, meanwhile the floor above them is the general living area complete with a home cinema, kitchen dining area, above this is the pool and balcony deck with amazing views of the tower district and sky district above.
