I usually only hear people complaining about horrible rp experiences. So i decided to make a thread where we talk about the best rp moments we had in our lives. This can be in and out of this site.

Perhaps among the best moments of my RPing days came when all of the members of the RP agreed to let things roll the way it did. Being part of a High-School type RP focused upon friendship took off and we had three seasons until Guildfall. I really miss those times. Some of the members are still here today, but its really unfortunate that we can't revive the series any longer.

Not the best, but a fun one:
A while ago we did a one-shot D&D where we managed as a ranger to stick an arrow in the eye of the beholder

The best RP I've ever been in was called Rise of the Titans. It was a highschool-esque RP where a bunch of students branded together in an alternate Gotham to form a team of 'Teen Titans'. We as the players started from the ground up in a fairly reasonable and almost realistic manner. Though a lot of players dropped, those that remained formed a tight knit group and eventually we took the RP into a more original setting and left the DCU completely behind.

There was a lot of wow moments such as playing a fake out of a character death and even having a villain discover the heroes' identities leading to a total storming of their base.

I've tried to replicate the experience several times without luck but the original will forever hold a dear place in my heart.

It really depresses me that I'll probably never be able to weave the lyrics of a Sufjan Stevens song through a post philosophically going through and entire character's life in erratic flashbacks, with conversations from her literal and metaphoric demons-- while she was mostly high in the present, and everyone else was trying to figure out the mysterious secrets of the town.

That RP was Lynchian as fuck.

My best rp moment when me and another rper had a collab about our two dwarven characters having a giant ass barfight that ended in a getaway from the guards.

Heh.

We had a fun one in D&D 5e a while ago... critical hit where a dwarven cleric buried his axe in the belly of a foe. He swung it underhanded, so... messy.

So many times and stories it's really hard to put everything. But there are the most memorable ones:

- One day this guy and me were playing. Did my superhero ninja OC as usual, but had a twist, I played as Anarchy Stocking for my character's girlfriend. Next day he came and playfully said that he was jealous of her. We both laughed.
- A magical princess with powers of wind and a noisy vampire villain on her trail get so involved in my life, and her character was the most adorable thing ever. My character had healed her from vampirism with a potion that he stole from some mad scientist/sorcerer dude. I've got so heartbroken when she said she was abandoning RP thanks to some ungrateful jerk.
- Starting a new friendship with a fellow player. I suddenly played with monsters invading outta nowhere, then building up the most epic storyline I've could think of, to the point of having things like Grimm tales characters as allies. Suck on that, Project X Zone.
- Meeting a guy just by saying how awesome his character was for just being based on Dungeon Fighter Online, suddenly he came with a ton of OCs for me to choose and play with.

Outside of dungeons and dragons itself I would say the best moment I've ever had was actually FINISHING a roleplay. It was pre-guild fall and on free and I was still adjusting too roleplaying this way so I downgraded myself to free. I ended up taking over the gm's spot more or less for my group and having free handed most of the stuff for my group. The roleplay was probably nowhere near consistent in it's writing but the mere fact that I spear headed a roleplay into the end game made me happy

I had an android character who was built with no emotions or understanding of human etiquette, but a fantastic ability to learn. Within the first few moments of his awakening he saw one character lift another up (they were siblings) he misinterpreted this as how to say hello and started picking up random people. Unfortunately he did not understand when was appropriate to put them down and spent alot of time just carrying people around against their will. By the end of the roleplay he'd ended up learning mostly female mannerisms and he was a total blast to play :P

One of my favourite roleplays of all time was a dungeon crawl. It was just before the end floor, our characters were surrounded by monsters, there had just been a fight between our mage and a demonlord in our party. We'd fallen through the floor into a trapped room we couldn't get out of, our demon lord was dying, and my character - a celestial - got to basically reach into his soul and bring him back to life as our mage and mercenary fought around us.

I would say my best RP wasn't a single moment, but an entire huge-ass RP I had with a friend of mine from high school. We knew each other irl, so that made planning things pretty easy, and we RPed on AIM, so it moved pretty quickly as well. The RP spanned numerous story arcs and had 3 generations of characters in it. There were many great villains, many greater heroes, and many tearful goodbyes. Plus, at one point, we stuffed a portable nuclear device into a necromantic dragon's mouth and blew him to kingdom come. These were good times...

I think the best moment was when one of the RPs I was actually finished. It was absolutely amazing. At one point, my character's love interest actually got executed via fire. Considering the guy was basically the leader of the group, it was absolutely emotional and I admittedly started crying a bit. Luckily, it was revealed it was a trick and the guy was still alive and the whole thing was part of some elaborate trap. Good times...

I had Lord Gaben fight a console demon with a magical crowbar and a PC Firewall shield as the Illuminati hovered in the air above.

9/11 would RP again.

Any excuse to cram in a reference or homage to pop culture, or, even better, previous RP's I've been in is gold to me. Doesn't matter if people don't get the reference, although of course it's better if they do.

I also really enjoyed the excuse to play ridiculously over the top hammy characters in murder mysteries I was running. Three dimensional, thought-out characters are lovely, but sometimes you gotta just gobble up that scenery. Bonus points for Wolf Manor for the time that I co-wrote an accidentally and ridiculously homoerotic scene and Sol the German megalomaniac, Felix, his French dogsbody, and Jonas, his discretely gay American houseguest could never look each other in the eyes again.

Honourable mention also goes to Wolf Manor, where there was obviously something secret in the manor's lake. OoC speculation was rife, up to and including the possibility of aquatic werewolves.

I really enjoyed a short D&D-esque game where everyone was a zombie thrall of a recently slain Necromancer. We all regained our senses, but quickly found ourselves without work, so our party of undead characters became adventurers in order to search for a new employer. Plus, no one likes dungeon cleaning duty.

Ironically, it ended with us being inducted into a particular town's police force by a strangely open-minded mayor, instead of some lich lord. There was also a brief debate with the resident cleric's union. That was fun.

This is another one from me. I was playing as this really old admiral who had to call in somw favors. So he had to call an old ex which had made herself into ceo of a corporation. Apparently my character had gotten her pregnant.

And the first thing i said was this.

" i owe you a lot of childsupport dont i?"
