“I looked and looked but I didn't see God.”

You're a criminal, a convicted one at that, you did something terrible enough that you were put in an intergalactic prison on a moon. See, space opened to humanity many years ago, we actually got our shit together and left our little home-world, first came Mars, next came some moons, then we went outside of our own star system, FTL is a thing of immense wonder. Amazingly enough, we encountered intelligent life, aliens, E.T.s, but they weren't little green men, they were friendly, if they weren't then we would've been turned to space dust, no doubt about it.

From that first meeting we encountered others, humanity didn't try to blow up any of them either, turns out when we put our whole race in the social aspects of life, we actually succeed. Of course there was the military aspect, no wars though, more like sharing of military secrets, trades between our race and others. There have been skirmishes, but those involve slavers and raiders, the real filth of the galaxy. The stuff of science fiction became reality, massive space ships which could carry thousands, energy weapons, even power armor and jetpacks.

But let's get back to you, you're a convicted criminal, you'd be on death row, ready to be executed but you have a set of skills which can be put forward for a greater good. The result of the collective brainpower of different species brainstorming an expendable, but skilled force that could fight on the front lines, sneak through the stars or even drop onto a planet. If you try to go AWOL and avoid your new role, well the chip in your brain goes off and your head literally explodes.

Wanna guess who was the first species to come up with such a thing? Yeah, humanity.

Why would you decline such an offer? I mean, what are you going to do? Rot in a cell for the rest of your pathetic life or sit in a chair and get executed?

OOC Info:

  • The cast of characters are convicted criminals, the worst of the worst. The catch is they are skilled individuals so they are put on a spaceship and made to do missions for the 'greater good'.
  • The RP is set in an original futuristic universe in which humanity has taken to the stars. There will be one other pre-made alien race, the intent is for the player's created races to fill out the rest of the galaxy.
  • Players will be able to create and play as their own races. More will be detailed on that in the OOC.
  • My co-GM (@Firecracker_) and I have planned for a long storyline filled with plot twists and fun.
  • The IC will begin on a space prison where all of our characters reside at the start of the RP, from then on it will only get more unpredictable.
  • The RP's biggest influence is DC's Suicide Squad, the characters are society's worst, while they may not be 'bad people' they have been convicted for serious offenses and are essentially put on these missions to die. Whether that happens depends on how the storyline plays out.

I'm in. Wanna make a guy who is literally invincible due to being a nigh-infinite swarm of nanomachines and is imprisoned after razing an entire stellar sector because he couldn't be killed. If that's too powerful then make it only one planet.

Eh, OP is a relative term, especially in a setting that encompasses a whole galaxy. Depends on how horrible the missions will be. Plus i bet such a swarm will be severely downsized and restricted in its abilities by failsafe systems inbuilt into it by the security staff.

Well, I'm not the GM or anything, so it's not up for me to decide, but it would still be a tad too OP.

You mean my character? Well, I'm planning to have a very large cyborg reptilian(7-8 feet tall) with a very bad temper and in for the slaughter of over 341 civilians, 82 police officers, the destruction of 24 Police Vehicles, the destruction of an entire police precinct, etc.

He was supposed to be executed, but since he is a killing machine, he was to be sent on a mission where his skills would serve best. He was caught when he eventually became too exhausted to fight.
