~Cassie Stone Fitzgerald~

Cassie never stopped knocking, that leading to her arm leaping in the air when the door opened and instead of hitting the door her hand hit that other girl's arm. Or face. Cassie didn't know. She jumped in response.

"I am sorry I am so very sorry! I didn't mean to, I mean, It was an accident. Kay?" She rolled her eyes and looked around, moving her arms intensely while speaking.

"All I want is to find my room, and I've been waiting for ages, no one helps here. How am I supposed to know where should I go!"

Cassie stood there besides the door, with her backpack and everything, looking frustrated and funny. Like an irritated cartoon.

"I am Cassie. I'm sorry for punching you, but I didn't mean to. Nice to meet you." She reached her hand forth so to shake with the girl.

~Ruby Blythe~

Ruby soon found her way to her dorm. She had to fall asleep on the yard, wake up soaking in the rain, lose one of her bags and walk through the whole Academy to find her dorm and the keys are a whole other story. The keys fit perfectly to the lock, and a faint smile of relief appeared on the edges of her mouth, as well as a soft eyebrow raise. Opening the door, she easily found her side of the house. It was the empty one. She left her lugggage next to the bed, and quickly got in the shower. Relaxed after that, she decided to leave a letter to the roommate of hers. She wrote it quickly with her lovely dip pen, and left in on the other person's door.

Salute.
My name is Ruby Blythe, I assume we are roomates now.
I am just letting you know.
Greetings.

Short, nice.
She read the letter a few times, unable to decide whether it was okay or not. She was too tired.
She placed the note onto the other door and moved to her bed, where she laid, and fell asleep almost instantly.

Gus nodded as both girls asked him about the blood aspect. A rare, and often uncomfortable, element of control, blood based effects were almost exclusive to healing similar to what a more foreign version of the earthen aspect could do. Though if the stories were correct, someone capable of what he had heard in stories as 'druidic' for lack of a better name, focused on the spirits themselves to usher in life force to the injured to soothe wounds and even return people to life. Though there had been no record of it since the time of the Kasai families first generation. Again, if the stories he'd been told by his elders were true.

"You would need to ask my father about that. The human body is capable of amazing feats with the right influence. My fathers skills can progress a persons natural healing to incredible proportions. I watched him mend a man who had his stomach torn open, all in the matter of a few minutes. Though It took a great toll on both the injured and the healer, as new flesh needs energy to create. My father said that a doctors duty is to put his life into the healing of anothers when the time comes..."

The realization of what transpired hit Gus silently but exquisitely. His father had given up his own spiritual essence to mend the damage. But would his own lost spirit mend itself with time? Such questions were beyond him but Gus promised to ask when he next met up with his parents. There was a lot the school might not be able, or willing, to teach him.

"I do think that natural remedies are used if the injuries would best heal, or subside in the case of a flu, with the rare fauna of this place. Below the mountains, and in the groves dotting the town, are plants never cataloged in the wider world. Unique to the academy grounds."

Gus smiled as he stood up, pushing his chair out. The table was roughly 50 to 80 pounds and could seat 6 comfortably. The frame was made of polished steel and the top a solid slab of oak. Both of his arms flexed as the familiar feeling of power flooded his upper body to make his skin turn a dark red. Those attuned to aura could see the essence of his element glowing about his upper body.

"Another, lesser used blood ability, is to enhance ones own physical traits."

Both hands grasped his side of the table as he exhaled, lifting the table gently up into the air, right up to shoulder level, before he very cautiously put it back down. Thankfully he had not spilled anything. The table landed with a soft clatter as it was returned to the same spot he had lifted it. The big mans arms returned to a more normal complexion as he sat back down in his seat.

"Thanks to a healthy work out routine and my element, even despite my uh.. Physique," Gus coughed awkwardly and continued, "I'm physically healthy. The same techniques are used to help soothe muscles in patients or even help mend a broken or malformed bone. Though in those cases you need to re-break it.."

Day 2, 12:37 PM, Lunchtime

Brunhilde quickly answered Saqui's questions before she forgot. Neither was a difficult one, since they both stretched back to before the injury, so the words rolled off of her tongue without any need for thought.

"No, no, it's not big at all. It's only got a population of maybe two hundred and twenty last I checked. It's not part of Canada, legally speaking. Technically it's the property of the Kingdom of Denmark, but they haven't bothered with so much as taxing us for, oh... Six hundred years?"

"Six years old...you must know your powers inside and out by now"

"Sadly, no. I just know a handful of tricks. I can hover, move things around, and cut things to shreds under the right circumstances, but I don't know much else. First real elementalist in my family, so I didn't get any sort of training at all."

Brunhilde continued to write her notes down as Gus spoke. Blood sounded like it was basically the same sort of thing as Air, except with flesh instead of gases. She knew for a fact that it was vastly more difficult to create air from nothing than it was to manipulate the air around her, as she had made the mistake of trying that in the past. Air came with the drawback of being extremely non-dense, so creating it was rather unpleasant to her. Perhaps blood-based healing could use a fuel source...? Gus's reference to more 'ordinary' medicine was telling, though. It was obviously a rather big deal to heal somebody.

"I take it creating new flesh to replace lost parts requires the equivalent of tens of thousands of calories' worth of energy, then."

She stopped writing as Gus lifted the table, and watched patiently until it came back down. An eyebrow rose at his display - most people couldn't do something with that much stability just by gripping the edge of the table, after all. She herself could do the same thing with air manipulation, but Gus was holding the table at an angle that was doing him no favors. A quick estimate placed the amount of torque on his hands at maybe five hundred pounds, perhaps more. The reddening of his skin was an interesting side effect, too, and she quickly wrote it down in the notebook.

She accepted his explanation readily, but cringed at the thought of rebreaking bones to heal them again, even though a part of her told her that Blood healers could likely cut off nerve signals for a short while. The image of having her leg broken twice in the same month flashed through her mind, producing a slight grimace at the imagined pain. Words from across the table (which was now firmly back on the ground) mercifully broke Brunhilde's train of thought before it ran off with her wits.

"That...hall monitor looked like he meant business. Did something big happen yesterday?"

A shrug. She couldn't remember the Hall Monitor, but there was a note that he had shown up. The notebook made no mention of anything big happening, really, but it did make it very clear that it wasn't the original - and copied pages from the original were neatly tucked inside. Either she had misplaced it, or someone else was holding onto it, which meant that something very out of the ordinary had happened. The gap was between 1:08 PM and the following morning, when Brunhilde herself had started taking notes again, which was a rather enormous amount of time to lose. Perhaps the spasms were from whatever had happened yesterday.

"No idea. It'd be really nice if I could find out, though."

Zephyr filled his lungs the moment they hit the surface, savoring the fresh atmosphere that heavily contrasted with the stale and stagnant air below. Although the underground practically crawled with darkness until magma made things a little hot, there was a constricting feeling in those catacombs that just didn’t sit well with. He’d very much rather bask in light that has to make an effort to crawl across the sky rather than reside in the ever present darkness. Which, sounded odd coming from an individual of his bearing, but it was just how he honestly felt. Even though the Light was essentially his antipodal in this world, its natural brilliance created a perfect environment to read in.

If that vacant expression had the ability to alter itself, then a light smile would have tugged at the corners of the brunet’s mouth. His classmate was versed, but the boy still retained memories of his parents and knew full well they wouldn’t christen their child after a deity. Actually, in Greek mythos, the embodiment of the West Winds was explicitly written as Zephyros, while his Roman counterpart was known as Zephyrus or Favonius. Instead of correcting Luke, Zephyr decided to give him brownie points for being close enough. Hopefully he wouldn’t have to transport Psyche to Cupid’s palace anytime soon.

Zephyr lethargically nodded in accord with Luke’s statement. The people here were oddly accepting- embracing even. But given adequate time for rumors to float about, and surely there would be mentalities filled with derision and animosity. The boy jumped at the sneeze that forced him out of his muse, abruptly so. He had been listening so intently that he didn’t notice their arrival at the pools. All at once the spectacle was absorbed and burned into his conscience. Why was this academy so scenic? He mentally queried not in skepticism, but in hopes that many more sights awaited him. After all, being the blank canvas, it was the external world’s job to influence him and flesh out the colors he lacked. Engrossed with taking in the expanse, Zephyr lagged behind Luke a few good steps as he autonomously followed the sound of his classmate’s feet. There was also something else that lead him forwards. A hum that reverberated with power, like the ebbs and flow of water. Unsurprisingly, it was just that. Water. He scrutinized the commonplace pools as he speculated as to why they were so special. The sensation probably skyrocketed once somebody plunged into its depths. Right now, the darkness user merely stood in the splash zone, only exposed to a fraction of the pools’ energy.

The boy looked over to his side and eyed the rock that casted a sizable shadow. Not even a full day prior, and a stone that size had been lobbed at his classmate Vlad, only to be turned into a seat. After deciding that was where he would rest, he calmly shifted his attention back to Luke, and so it seems, in a state of undress.

”Oh.”

For a moment, he mulled over whether he should turn the orb into a projectile just a step short of a bullet, since it seemed that Luke had gotten a screw loose. But instead, an even more puzzling revelation surfaced from beneath the waves of confusion.

Water users needed to disrobe before using their abilities! It all made sense now!

”As if.” Zephyr concluded it was for optimal connection with the element. The boy took a seat near the water’s edge and spectated as Luke repeated the process that comprised his training. Meanwhile, the darkness user played around with the orb to pass the time. He wasn’t sure if Kano was aware of the fact that he was already wield his ability to an extent undisplayed to others, but controlling the collective darkness from an entire room was a fair challenge. Soon, he was on his back, with his gaze focused on the orb flying from one end of his vision to the other.

Wait, how long was it until afternoon classes? Zephyr would have to warn his classmate well in advance, and did the guy even pack anything to dry himself off with. The soothing blades of grass he rested on weaved their way into his hair, sneakily bypassing the boy’s attention.

Madison

"I'm sorry to have interrupted whatever was going on," Madison finally said when the girl left Mr. K's office, still unsure of what she had walked into. "I know I had scheduled this lesson so I don't fall behind, but I need to cancel. My arm...it's still very sore. I think I need to let it rest for another day."

Truth be told, Madison's arm wasn't in that much pain, and even though she felt bad for lying to Mr. Kessinger, Vlad's disappearing act earlier that morning was bothering her more than it should.

Madison got up from the chair, looking over at the sword. "Either way, I'll be back tomorrow morning. Oh, and by the way, Vlad wasn't at lunch. I mean, I didn't see him there so I'm not sure what kind of trouble he's gotten himself into now, but we'll find out sooner or later." She tried to smile as naturally as possible before heading towards the door, hoping that she didn't have to do this again.

A stretched out hand grabbing into the air, only to fail over and over again.... Flowing long red hair, slowly disappearing into the darkness. The feeling of helplessness and despair overflowing all over the place. Tear drops falling down on the ground before everything faded to a black.

"I'll come for you mom..."

With a shock Vlad came back to his senses. Without realizing it, he wandered off to somewhere unfamiliar. He was standing in a long empty corridor, and it was unusually quiet around him since most students were already in their respective classes. He remembered talking to the brown haired midget before suddenly being lost in those awful nightmares... "Daymares I guess..." he thought with a slight grin at his new word. Since the lessons were already started and he was lost anyways he decided to just wander off somewhere and relax, due to his nightmares he had every night, he slept pretty bad and he was still exhausted. Vlad looked through the window outside and saw a green place, like an inside park. It looked peaceful and there was even a small pound. With his usual slow but sure pace he walked toward the door, while stretching his arms and neck, letting out a moan. A moan. Hoping that nobody heard him he walked outside, the rays of sun covering him instantly. It was a warm sunny day, but not too warm. It was perfect. And since he was a fire user, the sun felt even better to him compared to the other users. Vlad looked up with his eyes closed, enjoying the warmth on his face and took a deep breath, the air was fresh. There were some trees here and there near the pound and he walked toward the biggest one casting the biggest shadow. Stretching his arms yet again, making cracking noises he sat down against the tree placing his hands behind his head. There was a small breeze which felt very pleasant as Vlad slowly started to feel drowsy when suddenly images of a red haired woman stretching out her hand toward him flashed through his mind. Vlad's eyes flew open and drops of sweat formed on his forehead. He leaned forward with one leg stretched out and the other pulled toward him and put his arm on it. He then looked down with a notable sad expression "..mom..."

~Ruby Blythe~

Ruby woke up fully rested and rejuvenated. As soon as she saw the note, still on the door she realised her roomate hadn't come back yet. As if she felt guilty for being in the house while the other person still didn't know, she felt like the best thing to do would be to take a walk. Dressed in her victorian clothes she proceded to walk out of the house closing the door behind her.
Looking around, she spotted just a few students pacing quickly through the corridors and faint laughs and noises through the doors. The thought and realisation that behind those doors there were people with vibrant and complex lives just as hers caused a crooked smile to form on her mouth. She often wondered and tried to guess what other people have in their heads and lives, and that brought her peace and a more wide sense of existence. Oness.
She moved on to a green square park, and proceeded to sit by the pond, to enjoy the water and maybe play a bit. Berfore taking out her small blue book, she noticed a few people here and there, in a fair distance. She noticed the redhead boy sitting there.
You don't look very pleased. She thought to herself and her eyes travelled back at the yellowish pages of her book, before she made anyone feel like she's envading their space.

Vlad lifted his hand and punched the ground in frustration, causing specks of fire to fly away around his fist. " Why am I so weak! Why can't I do anything to save her? Why is this all happening? Why me??". He quickly stood up with an annoyed and angry look on his face. "Why am I even sitting here? I need to train and become stronger as fast as I can" . Having those pleasant moments earlier today and yesterday, Vlad had drifted away from his primary task for coming here in the academy in the first place. And forgetting that and using his free time to relax filled him with guilt and anger. He had to go training and as much as possible to become stronger in a short span of time, he didn't have much time left..

Before he walked away he noticed someone else was nearby, someone that wasn't there earlier when he came here. It was a short girl, wearing an attire Vlad saw more than enough back from where he came from, like one of these rich snobs. But something about the girl struck Vlad. It was her long red hair, which instantly reminded him of his flashbacks. He stared at her for a few more seconds before turning away, and with a determined look in his eyes he walked away looking for an open spot where he could practice and train more.

Ruby instantly noticed the young man standing up and she could easily sense his irritated energy like spikes in the air. She tried to keep her eyes on the book, but she easily noticed him look at her. Her instant reaction was to assume that she caused his irritation with staring at him before. She saw him walking away, and didn't know whether she should apologise or pretend nothing happened. But she didn't mean to annoy anyone and, actually, he didn't have to react that way. On the other hand he wasn't very happy in the first place when she arrived there.
Ruby picked up her book placing her index between the pages she was reading and paced quickly towards the guy not sure whether she should poke him on the shoulder, apologise or tell him he shounldn't act like that. She hesitated with her arm in the air behind his back but decided it's not appropriate to touch strangers out of nowhere, a rule her family taught her well.

"Excuse moi." She said in a nice french accent.
"I don't know whether I caused you trouble or not, I wanted to inform you I didn't want to frustrate you by any means, and If I did it I apologise, but I think you shouldn't react like that."
Realising how fast she spoke and all the unnessesary thing she said out of habit she felt like a huge facepalm came out of the ground.
"Got carried away by fast thoughts, It's simpler than that." She said and smirked. Not used in getting into uneasy situations, she was thinking of a polite way to vanish.

As he was walking, he suddenly heard a voice close and behind him. It was some gibberish called french, Vlad remembered how they tried to teach him that useless language back at home, saying how classy and elegant it was. But who cared about languages if you were strong? Vlad stopped and turned around, the girl he saw earlier was standing in front of him, since Vlad was pretty tall the girl seemed even smaller than before. With a frowned look, he looked down at her with his head slightly tilted upwards as a sign of intimidation. The midget was talking about frustration and it being her fault, as if Vlad even cared she existed.

"Who are you?" he said in a calm but slightly annoyed tone, "Snobs like you aren't even worth of my attention let alone my anger so no it wasn't you" and with those words he turned back again and started walking in his usual slow pace. The last thing he needed now was another of these midgets, and even less a snob. "Go back to your rich friends and family and buy yourself a life you didn't do shit for" he said while walking away.

She was fast though, there was a decent distance back when Vlad saw her for the first time and he barely took some steps before she stood behind him. And her long fire-red hair kept reminding Vlad of his mother, making it difficult for him to look at her for more than a few seconds. He had trouble keeping his cool because of that and hoped she didn't notice anything.

Ruby raised her eyebrows in and smirked, leaving a sarcastic faint laugh escape her mouth. Arrogance was something Ruby never appreciated in people. She stopped walking crossed her arms slowly, holding the crooked smirk on her face.

"Arrogance is the trait of a foul man, Monsieur. The one who considers himself as superior is unable to learn barely anything, while the other.. inferiors keep evolving around him." She fixed her posture and slightly turned her body as if she was about to change direction and leave.

"And careful with that sweaty skin, cap'n. You would be surprised by how easily water boils." She gave him a crooked smile with her right eyebrow raised behind her red hair and laughed lightly.

Vlad groaned in frustration as the girl kept talking. He abruptly stopped and turned back confronting the girl with an angry stare. The fact that she was smirking and this attitude of hers pissed him off even more. He walked towards her and stopped a few centimeters away while still maintaining eye contact, the girl looked even smaller then before.

Vlad then leaned forward so his face was in front of hers, his angry expression was still there but he looked much more calm. Normally he'd insult her or threaten her or just simply ignore her, but the recent events with that old man and his interactions with Gus @Zelosse and Madeline @Xandrya slightly changed his opinions. "Wanting to become strong and thinking you're strong are two different things. I'm not arrogant, I'm far from it, but a weakling like you wouldn't understand" he sighted and leaned backwards to his normal position and looked away at the wall and behind it the forest, where the old fart was expecting him.

"I know your kind, I seen more than enough of it in my youth, and was forced to constantly fight your kind. Your snobs are weaklings.." he continued with a calm but cold tone. And with those words he turned away and started walking toward the exit.

Cafeteria, Lunchtime

Saqui's eyebrows rose in surprise as she processed the new information.

"Well, it's true you learn something new everyday" She smiled before adding on "Six hundred years? I mean wow that's, just...wow"

She wasn't even sure how to react to that one, though the logical side of her brain was working over time to piece the new information together. Every nugget of knowledge, regardless of what it was about feed her curiosity.

"Oh..." Saqui responded "Learning to do all of those without training is impressive. Considering how many people lived there, were there no other elementalists around?" She asked, trying to get a better picture of what she was being told.

Her eyes widened as she listened to Gus explain the capabilities of his father, grimacing as she automatically pictured the scene he spoke off. 'Lay off the cult movies, Saqui'. The idea that a wound as severe as that one could be healed in a matter of minutes was unbelievable, hearing that it had happened in reality before Gus's eyes had Saqui questioning her view of the world, it was an ongoing thought process in the back of her mind as she focused on the two students in front of her.

"Your father sounds like a great man with a clear passion for what he does" She told Gus, processing the weight of his last sentence she wondered about saying more but...she didn't know the large lad well enough to comment further.

Her ears figuratively pricked up at Gus's snippet of information, instantly aroused by the word rare. It was perfect. And whilst she silently listened to Gus, she made a mental note to look into it.

"Never catalogued...unique. Sounds like the perfect mixture for a field guide" She commented, already planning on doing just that once she knew her schedule. Not for the sake of the wider world, just her own curiosity.

Her eyebrows twitched up as Gus got up, watching him with a quizzical look on her face as he gripped the edge of the table. She had no reason to believe he would harm her but she wasn't free of concern as his arms flexed and his skin turned to a dark red...she was half expecting him to utter the words Hulk smash before flipping the table across the cafeteria. The other half of her wished her brother owned more than one comic and that she would regain her grip on reality.

Saqui for one hadn't seen anything like what Gus was currently demonstrating for them, pulling her arms back to her side, palm facing forward, she watched on slacked jawed and visibly impressed 'Okay...was not expecting that' .

She leant back in her chair as the large man carefully put the table back down, looking over at him with something akin to awe still present in her expression. Recovering, she rested her hands on the table and consciously told herself to close her mouth.

"That was amazing! I mean how, even, just..." Saqui hadn't the chance to arrange the words in her head before they fell from her lips. Unable to work out the maths in her head, she gripped the table and tested its weight. It wasn't a precise reading but it gave her an idea.

Calming down enough to actually listen to Gus as he sat back down, Saqui felt a shiver pass through her.

"Ouch to that" She commented, though she'd never broken a bone herself she was reminded of the time her father had broken his wrist and had to have it reset before it could be splinted.

"I'm a little jealous of you Gus, not going to lie. You've got everything going for you" She decided "Able to heal others as well as hold your own, it's inspiring" With that said a smile returned to her face, warming her expression.

Saqui tilted her head to the side, her forehead creasing as she thought over Brunhilde's answer to her question. Judging by what she'd learn in the short time she'd known the small girl, she could only think of a few reasons why, the previous days events had escaped her.

"If it's not written in that notebook, perhaps it's in another one?" She gave a small shrug of her shoulders, before the lines on her face evened out and that bright, inquisitive glow returned to her expression.

"If you want, I could help you find out? It shouldn't take too long to track down one of those hall monitors and get the story out of them"

Her enthusiasm for the task was fueled for the most part, by a need to be helpful and encourage the other students to like her. But there was a more selfish reason behind it as well, she really wanted to know what had happened yesterday...the mystery surrounding it was as compelling as catnip was to a cat

The room she had stumbled upon was empty. But it was most likely used by someone important to the school in one way or another. Among the few courtesies she had learned made her unwilling to enter the room without the person in question being there themselves. She quickly looked behind her to see if Yoshino was still behind her but quickly turned her eyes in front again towards the room.

"I guess no one will mind... right?"

She recites out loud. The situation was already confusing as is, and neglecting this chance felt like the worst thing to do. So she stepped into the office to look around for something along the lines of directions, useful items, or anything of the sort. The office itself actually seemed a lot larger than what she had initially thought. There was space for tons of stuff to be stored and even space to move around quite a bit. Though she doesn't find much than some papers that she can't really tell what they're for, she does at least find the dorm list and location among the messy desk.

"Lucky, for once. Now if only I can make it through the day without more trouble..."

Luckily it was made easy to be able to find the dorms, as they seemed to be entirely separate buildings up north from the main building. While snooping around was not one of her best traits, she felt kind of forced to do it as no one else had really been around the place. Which just fed towards the thought that she was quite more than just a "little" late now. And even then, she hadn't really consulted Yoshino who had been following her the whole time otherwise. Actually, she was so stuck-up in finding anything valuable that she didn't even realize if she was still around or not nor had any thoughts about it.

"Whoever this room belongs to, apologies for intruding."

She recites in a very quiet tone while she sets the papers back to the table. Since there was nothing else left to really find, she made her way to the door and out of the room. And without a second thought she thinks out loud while disregarding her surroundings almost completely.

"Now the only thing that could probably ruin the day is either an angry teacher or the fact that the dorm rooms might highly likely have locks... and the former one still scares me more than anything."

It seemed that Luke had a better grasp at this than previously, did the advice really make that much of a difference, rightfully so. His concentration was kept at it's utmost peak, mostly because the waters didn't thrash at him at every second, but his breath threatened to break. A thought then popped into his head, what if he made a pocket of air? Not that Luke could manipulate air, he would just manipulate the waters out of the way to form a sort-of air bubble, and since he could only move the water and not air, oxygen should be present in the bubble..

It seemed to work, atleast Luke could have some emergency oxygen if needed. After this little experiment he went back to his training- which was to sate the waters, not intrinsically command it. Letting it flow at Luke's pace, rather than it's own. It was a job easier said than done, but the headmaster seemed to do it with no sweat, as to be expected.

Well, the bucking horse would not go down without a fight. It was strenuous, to say the least, to placate it and make it flow according to your will. But Luke believed he was getting very close to it, and despite slight fatigue setting in he continued onwards. The water ebbed and flowed all around him, slowly beginning to accept Luke's command- albeit begrudgingly. A shaky relations was being cemented. Although it still didn't listen to the hundredth degree, as a spew of water came outwards and splashed all the denizens near the pool- namely, Zephyr.

He dove upwards, eyeing the surroundings, and confirming that Zephyr did in fact get hit. He guessed he trained long enough- maybe a few hours. So he dried himself off quickly and put on the extra clothes he brought. He rushed up to Zephyr, and bowed his head;
"Oh- uhh, Sorry about that!" he said, a tad embarrassed, "I thought I had control of it, but at the last second, as if to spite me, it lashed out. I can dry you up if you wish."

Yoshino

Emilia-tan sounded happy when Shino told her her name. Emilia might have though Shino was unreliable since she was slow of reaction and such and that made her happy that she at least provided some sort of useful info that she was able to use.

Shino followed Emilia for a while but she started to doubt the girl was able to lead her to the exit. Maybe she should make a run for it and make more process for herself and leave this girl behind but she was stopped when Emilia stopped before a slight open door. Yoshino questionably watched the girl progress by peeking into the room. There might have been people in the rooms all over the hallway so they might be able to find others to get them out of here.

Yoshino quietly peeked by the side of Emilia as she headed into the room. The girl said some things but Shino did not pay any attention to her at the moment. When Emilia was completely in the room Yoshino quickly followed in and glanced around the room when she was around the middle of it. The room was quite large and comfy. A lot of bookshelves with books a big desk where the headmaster could sit at and the best thing... Carpet! Yoshino undid her shoes and socks and threw them at the side of the room. The carpet was tickling her feet in a good way making her blush slightly. She walked around the room a little and quietly stared at the books reading all the titles but nothing interesting was on display.

Yoshino shoveled over to the desk and looked over it together with Emilia. She noticed a large drainage pipe behind the desk of the headmaster and kind of questioned why he had something like that in here? Was he gonna build a bubble bath in here or something. Yoshino leaned herself forward next to it and looked into its depths. She walked over a nearby wall and digged her hand in the wall easily. With a handful of cobbles she turned back and threw them down the pipe. After a few second she heard a loud tud and noted that they were at the bottom. It went quite deep. With no useful she continued looking over the desk.

Under some papers she found a half destroyed half frozen picture. It looked like something you wouldn't find everyday. The picture was frozen but wasn't unfreezing when Shino held it in her hand so she saw it as precious. Yoshino decided to keep it and stored it into her inventory next to a piece of stuck gum. When Shino stored the picture in her skirt pocket Emilia seemed to be leaving. Yoshino kind of jumped when she saw that.

"Please wait..."

Yoshino quickly followed out but noticed her feet were getting cold when she stepped on the hallway floor. She looked down and noticed her shoes were gone.

"Ohh... I messed up... Please wait here."

Yoshino hurried in and turned the corner towards where her shoes were. She didn't pay any attention to her steps and tripped again onto the carpet. A tud could be heard in the hallway. The girl looked confused for a moment but crawled further towards her shoes. She spun around to her but and sat down to put her shoes on. Shino quickly stood up and headed out again.

"Okay we can go now. Will the teacher get angry at us?"

Emi

Emi wanted to open the door for the impatient person in front of it but as soon as she did she immediately regretted it and would rather have let it stay closed. A fist meet her face quite abruptly, she wasn't able to stop it or dodge it and had to take the hit. A yelp sounded through the hallway as her head jolted back inside the room. She squated down and covered the hurted spot on her forehead with both hands. She was silent for a little while rubbing the hurted spot and looking pretty sad but stood back up to comfort the girl that looked pretty worried about her. She probably didn't meant to hit her like that so Emi accept it as apology.

"Hehe don't worry about it, you look pretty stressed so I guess it happened in a hassle."

The girl was rambling and rambling about her situation and so on making Emi laugh awkwardly, what was she suppose to say about all this!? Emi felt kinda bad like she caused all this to this girl but in the end she sounded pretty nice and didn't look hostile at all. Emi was able to smile again as the girl introduced herself to Emi. She was poking her hand out at Emi as Emi did the same to greet her.

"Same here, my name is Emi. I guess I can try to help you with your room. Shall I help you there?"

Emi stepped out and closed the door behind her while checking if she had the key with her. She gave a kind smile to the girl waiting for a response and headed out towards the end of the hall. She went down some stairs towards the main area of the building and waited for the girl till she was there. There were a lot of lists hanging around the main area of the dorms displaying a lot of names and a lot of room numbers. Luckily it was displayed on surname letters so it was easier to find.

"Here you can see in which room you belong. I hope you can calm down a little now hehe."

Day 2, 12:40 PM, Lunchtime

"Learning to do all of those without training is impressive. Considering how many people lived there, were there no other elementalists around?", Saqui asked. Brunhilde had never considered that there might be others like herself in her town, but she didn't remember seeing anything that would suggest as much. Tukturjuk wasn't a particularly exciting place, and everybody knew everybody, so she figured she'd have heard something.

"I don't think there were any other elementalists in my town. If there were, they were very, very well hidden. I don't really think figuring out what I could do was that impressive. Really, I just got curious and experimented a lot. I had a lot of free time."

The current page of the notebook was getting a bit too full, so Brunhilde flipped over to the next page. The ruling being that large made it difficult to get the usual amount of information density, and Brunhilde quietly grunted in annoyance.

Brunhilde found herself somewhat amused by Saqui's inquisitive nature. Perhaps all air elementalists liked to learn new things, but the manner in which it was displayed was enormously different. Brunhilde personally preferred quiet listening and passively learning. Saqui, meanwhile, didn't seem to have any inhibitions with her questioning and commenting - perhaps that was something that Brunhilde could work towards. Saqui's comment regarding the notebook caught her attention, though. The girl was observant enough to figure things out fairly quickly, even if she did seem a bit confused by the matter.

"Hm, probably. I know there's another notebook that's not with me at the moment."

The borscht was finally finished. Brunhilde only noticed when she tried to dip her spoon into it again, and realized that she couldn't even remember what it tasted like. Disappointment crossed her face momentarily before she flipped to the previous notebook page, where a series of markings in her own personal sensory language described every detail of it, creating a rough impression of what it would've tasted like. Satisfied, she returned to the current page and marked lunch as over. Saqui suggested finding one of the Hall Monitors, since they seemed to know what was going on to some extent. It was a good idea. Saqui seemed to be finished with her lunch too, so now felt as good a time as any to investigate.

"I'd be okay with that. I have the remainder of yesterday's notes, but it cuts off at a certain point. I'd like to find out how I managed to lose 18 hours. Shall we get going?"

Brunhilde slid off of her seat and grabbed the tray and all of her trash. She never touched the floor, though - her tendency to skate rather than walk never seemed to wane.

"Gus, I'll see you around. Take me to see one of the blood teachers some time, alright? I'd love to learn more about it," she stated as she wandered off to put away her tray and rid herself of garbage.

Day 2, Shortly After Lunch

One of the Hall Monitors was wandering around the hallway of the Academy's Fire building, where he was quickly spotted by Brunhilde. He didn't seem to notice, though, and continued walking down the mazelike corridors. The music blasting through his headphones muffled the sounds of footsteps and voices coming after him. Uncaringly, he checked the incident reports on his clipboard again. Today had been absolute mayhem, as far as he was concerned, and it was probably only going to get worse as the year went on.

It was utterly ridiculous. There was a series of other reports regarding littering and horseplay beneath it, but the ferret report was the most absurd thing he had ever seen. He was only a first year student, though, so he was certain that he would find more ludicrous problems plaguing the Academy. Incidents regarding teachers were to be brought to Kano's office, but other incidents were to be brought to the offices of the most closely associated teacher. He had no idea where the Aether or Techmental teachers' offices were, so he figured he would drop this particular report off at the office of the preeminent Fire teacher, Elbritas.

He turned one more corner before he was finally properly intercepted, just a few short meters away from the teacher's door (and therefore his mail slot).

~Ruby and Cassie~

The man's talk frustrated Ruby, for she knew he talked without knowing a thing. While being polite was one of her priorities it seemed like the young man didn't even pocess such ability.

"The greater the controversy, the more you need manners, Monsieur."

Ruby pushed her hand through her pocket gently and brought out a pair of short white gloves, which she wore slowly, keeping her eyes on her hands, with tiny breaks only to see if the man was still there.

"I am more than amazed by how easy it is to irritate you." She spread her fingers with her hand straight in front of her, moving them in circular motions in order to adjust the glove. She held her book between her fingers, and looked over the redhead man, whose nerve was surely toxic.

"I shall take my leave, for I am not fond of meaningless arguements, you see." She flashed a sarcastic smile to the man, and raising her hand she waved to him moving her fingers one after another slowly.
"Maybe, in another life, when we are cats." With that comment she left him behind, heading to some quiet cafe, to enjoy the company of her book and a glass of french wine, without the distraction of any hotheaded child.

@KuramaaaZ

Cassie Smiled gently as Emi easily forgave her for hitting her, and helped her up. She gladly followed her through the corridor and found the catalogues with the names. Satisfied, she leaned on Emi and gave her a tight hug.

"I am really really thankful! I was very tired of waiting and searching endlessly! You are very kind. Now you know my name and my room number and you can visit me anytime you want. I'll make you a cup of coffee, but I'm now really good at that, alright?"

Cassie looked over the boards, and pointed to the "187" number with her index.
"That's where!"
She said lightly and quickly picked up the keys and headed to the room.

Cafeteria, Lunchtime

Saqui took the final bite of her lunch, having shamefully paid it's taste little to no attention, her thoughts were dedicated to the conversation at hand. Her brow furrowed as she processed Brunhilde's answer, it brought up a lot of questions revolving around her own abilities...none of which she rushed to air to her new companions, luckily for them! They were better suited for independent contemplation at a later time...besides there was too much going on at the lunch table to think on it now.

'Strike!' She thought as she hit the mark with the notebook comment, it wasn't the biggest achievement of the day but she enjoyed it all the same. And it was enough for her to set about making a loose plan of how to move forward.

She visibly sat up straighter in her seat when her offer was accepted, nodding her head fervently as she checked that everything was on her tray. Leaning down to grab her bag, she ended up distracted by the way Brunhilde seem to skate rather than walk 'How...?'. Blinking as the small girl bid Gus farewell, Saqui jolted back upright and hopped up out of her chair.

Pulling the strap of her bag over her head, she glanced up at Gus and smiled, whilst grabbing her tray.

"Doka, Gus!" She blurted out before carefully making her way across the cafeteria, to dispose of her lunch items. In her hurry to catch up with Brunhilde...to ask about her skating movement most likely, she didn't register her language slip up.

(*Slang for later or see you later, if my sources are correct. Still learning, experimental)

After lunch, stalking the hall-monitor-ways

Searching for things was Saqui's speciality. She was a cocktail of curiosity and perseverance, no challenge was impossible...at least that's what she told herself during the search for hall monitors. They weren't the hardest people to pick out of a crowd, though catching up to them was another thing...

"I've got this!" She announced, glancing around her before she took off at a run...

Lowering the air's resistance as she moved and pushing herself forward, she zipped between a few students before rounding the corner and skidding to a halt in front of the hall monitor. Successfully intercepting him before he could make his delivery. Opening her mouth to talk but finding her lungs devoid of oxygen, Saqui lifted a finger up to the hall monitor and leant forward on her knees to catch her breath.

"Forgot..." She started, halting to take another breath

"...tobreathe" With that said, she looked up at hall monitor and tapped her ear if he hadn't already taken his headphones off.

"Hey! Got a minute?" She asked, standing upright and flashing him a smile

"It's to do with one of these reports" She added, just in case his interest wasn't piqued, pointing at his clipboard as her eyes dropped to briefly inspect it before returning to his face.

@Inertia@Jedly

𝒦𝒶𝓃𝑜 𝐻𝒶𝓇𝑔𝑜𝓇

@inertia@jedly

Kano watched Luke and Zephyr from the top windows of the school. Despite the distance, he witnessed everything the two did as though it were happening just a few feet away, and silently congratulated Luke on his control over the water along with his intuitions. The only logical step now was to push him a little further in the right direction and see if the boy had what it took to become a master in his own right.
Kanos hand reached out as if he were going to grab the boy and clenched his fingers and felt the often violent waters of the pool eagerly accept his request as the waters spiraled into a more solid form as that of a large dragon-like creature composed entirely of water. Though there was only enough water in the pools to allow it to form a good portion of its upper body at the moment. The spirit of that inhabited the waters was ancient as was the headmaster so both had plenty of time over the years to gather an understanding. Every new student that stepped into the waters fed the energy of it while absorbing it at the same time, creating the rich flow of concentrated essence. On times like these the emotions that ran in the pool took this form to test students, it would not injure but it could certainly give you a hard time. It snapped and whipped its body around like a whip even as its body continued to form as the water beast ventured further and further out of its home to 'attack' the intruders.

"Luke. Your test here will be dissipation. A will binds the beast to a form and a purpose. You cannot control it but you can return it back to how it began." Kano was not speaking to them directly, nor could they hear him, but he chose to ramble as he watched the two boys begin. "As for you, young Zephyr, you hold no hope of participating the same way as Luke. His element repels him now. But perhaps your part will be participation. Use the darkness, boy, and help your fellow classmate overcome the serpent. Merely holding the orb does not test your skills."

The orb Zephyr held was not just a means of whether or not he could control the orb. It was to serve as his shield and sword all at once. To identify the boy and make clear to everyone that his elemental was still taught on these grounds with respect and honor. Kano had already issued punishments to students, and teachers, he had found talking ill of the boy. Peace between the elements was of vital importance. No fool with his head full of hate would threaten it ever again.

Kano turned from the growing scene of the serpent and began his return to his office.

-------------------------

(near the office)

The headmaster strolled gingerly through the halls and greeted the other passer-by with a polite wave and a hello but stressed he could not stay to talk. A mountain of paperwork, and those damn 'hall monitor' reports, were probably stacked to the ceiling by now. Though they did have a tendency to find the worst students they also had a bad habit of hassling regular students merely dancing in the grey zone of the school rules. Was it a rule not to feed your pet mana infused food? No. Experimentation was good for everyone. Was it a rule not to over-do feeding them something? absolutely. Animal cruelty was still frowned on.

Kano passed by more than a few students, and caught a glimpse of a few he did not recognize. @liferusher@Ennui Yoshino Hirasawa and what appeared to be her co-conspirator Emilia Averill. That thought caught in his mind for a moment. Co-Conspirator? Surely they had done nothing wrong. It wasn't uncommon for him to get visits from the students in the slightest, look at Luke and Zephyr. Whom by now were either being swallowed by the serpent on trying not to be.

His office door opened without a sound on the well oiled hinges as the headmaster made his familiar walk into the room, only stopping to grab yet another report from the ever growing pile. Crumpling it up and tossing it into the recycling bin for later repurposing, he sat down upon his chair and stared at the pile. As expected, it had grown. Again.

"I need a secretary.." He mumbled.

In times like these when the mundane work of his empire required just a tad too much of him it was a habit to pull out the picture he kept on his desk. It was old, faded, worn out, and frozen, but just holding the picture gave him great comfort. The same way his dance in the mornings always brought out the humanity trapped in his form. If he stopped remembering what it was to be a person it would be disaster.
Kanos hand failed to find the picture in its familiar spot. More and more things seemed to have been moved ever so slightly. Unfamiliar fingers had danced upon his personal items while he had been away.
Closing his eyes and focusing on himself, the headmaster easily found the resonance with his form coating the picture. Steadily leaving his office in someones pocket.
A feral growl escaped him as he turned to water, rushing down the drainage tube kept so conveniently behind his desk. A tube that circled every inch of the school grounds. His form rushed through the tubes on memory alone until the resonance was at its peak. His watery form all but exploding through the wall in a shower of debree and mist while the headmaster returned to his human form. Only to find the same two conspirators he had seen earlier.
Normally he would have talked. Words were easy to understand and few wouldn't listen to what their headmaster had to say. Anger led him now, betrayed by his own students, who had so blatantly taken what was not theirs. Rather than lash out he merely rushed forward like a tidal wave, both of the girls drenched head to toe by his passing form. In an instant he had reformed on the opposite side of the girls again holding every and any personal items the two had been holding, right down to their socks and shoes. Their clothing was drenched, they were shoeless, and an angry Kano held his picture in one hand, and everything else in a sphere of frozen water in his opposite hand.

"Explain yourselves. Now."
