@DemonMiyu In Fire Emblem: Awakening, the (hot) Prince Chrom and his band of hand-picked warriors, the "Shepherds," are defending the country from bandits when they stumble upon someone, you, lying asleep in the grass. You bear the marks and clothing of their country's sworn enemy, but you're amnesic. But the Prince just takes your hand and pulls you to your feet. You are welcome in his company, despite the misgivings of others. As the story unfolds, you turn out to be a master tactician, and in the end, the soul of a dragon.
What I'd like to emulate is the idea that, while the commoner may turn out to be someone important, the Prince accepted her for who she was, not what she would become, and she accepts him despite their difference in rank. That will be the foundation for their relationship.
