The rigid soil of the farmlands; the scorching sun that peaks through the cracks of sacred ruins; the blacksmith pottering with heavy sheets of metal as vibrant orange sparks are shaved into dust;
the tranquil flowing stream of water that cascades down from the greatest heights of the tallest mountains;
the clangour of iron blades clashing as warriors engage in heavy combat within the Arena;
the clink of two heavy tubs, filled to the brim with alcohol from the tavern;
the almost colourless sand that drifts through the empty desert, that not a soul would dare to enter, inhabited only by fatally poisonous beasts;
the legislation that binds these lands - engraved across the cold, hard stones that surround the entire country;
the subtle chattering of busy merchants across the Central Agris Plaza, selling alchemical goods to striving alchemists;
the shrill fizz of a potion that lights up a dusty, run-down alchemical lab ...
These are only mere specks of phenomena that may witnessed throughout the magical and mystic land known as Agris.
There is a common phrase here - it has been said countless times throughout our nation's history.
"Liberum arbitrium"
This phrase is used solely to greet someone or in a valediction, and is a symbol of respect for the nation's peace and the person it is directed to. "Liberum arbitrium; Go in peace, and in liberty."
So then, citizen of Agris ...
Shall you go forth to seek new land, to explore Agris as it grows hastily?
Shall you work and serve Agris in its Imperial militia to defend its sacred land?
Shall you live as a calm country provincial who watches over cattle, or shall you turn against the land in search of riches?
Shall you study the arts of Alchemy and magic, growing your knowledge and become fully-fledged Alchemist, producing sparks of rippling silver with merely your hands?
Shall you be a poor pickpocket willing to commit crime to keep yourself and others alive?
Shall you even become the great leader of this fine nation?
The choice is yours.
Liberum arbitrium, friend, go off into the vast land known as Agris, and engrave your story into its soil.
