Viral had taken notice of Shu’s attempt and was racing on ahead to keep up and not miss the opportunity to kill this thing once and for all. He was in a moment of desperation here, he was failing to keep up properly and was very quickly losing his chance to kill this creature. The moment the blast was fired he immediately made a leap towards the location the creature was being blasted to, using the momentum he had built up to throw himself further before he landed hard once more as the creature came for a landing as well. He had it this time, there was no escaping it and no way for the creature to get out of this with some filthy tactic. Approaching its struggling body he growled lowly, raising his cleaver before forcing it down at the ‘neck’ of the beast as it continued to writhe, it’s pathetic existence coming to an end with its head now detached from its body. Watching as the creature continued to writhe before coming to a stop, staring at it for a moment before growling and looking away.

Shu was pretty proud of himself for managing that, he wasn’t very good with these kinds of attacks and was left happy that he had done well. Racing on after Takeshi again he saw Viral jump on ahead and finally kill that creature with one clean chop, finally ending this chase. He hoped that was worth it, especially with how much it had affected Viral. It could had been prevented if Takeshi had helped, but he didn’t join in until he got stuck on that tree. Finding that Viral had taken care of the creature he watched as it wriggled before finally stopping, his eyes going to Takeshi only for a second before he rushed on over to Viral as he gave him a look over. “Mister Viral! Mister Viral! Are you okay? Are you okay? I try very fast, but…” Squeaking suddenly, he didn’t expect the creature to just melt away like that, briefly dancing on his feet. “No no! Food gone now! What a waste…” he sighed before squeaking in surprise, looking over to Takeshi only briefly, “Takeshi, you gross! Gross Takeshi!”

Now that was a huge relief, they had actually managed to kill the damned thing. The decapitation wasn't terribly off-putting but when the corpse began to melt, its innards shown to everyone, Takeshi had a terrible time trying to keep it in. Losing his lunch over the sight he ended up splattering a bit on my shoes, groaning as he wiped his mouth on the back of his hand. Seeing the splatter on his boots as well he tried wiping them down on the grass, growling when it did little good and giving up. "Not like I wanted to hurl, you know?" the older boy snapped, spitting out some leftover junk before grimacing. Seeing Viral now for the first time since this nonsense began he was certainly cut up, nothing serious but probably mighty unpleasant. "You alright? Got cut up pretty good there," Takeshi asked while stating the obvious, glancing over his friend. "Probably should head back, get you patched up and let them know what happened. If there's more of those things..."

A nearby patch of plants rustled slightly though there was no breeze, and a second later a stone flew from the brush, nailing Takeshi right in the side of the head. Growling angrily he spun around on his heel in the direction it had come from and glared at the plants, seeing the small frame of someone or something hidden in there. "Alright wise guy, come out before I kick your ass!" he shouted, storming over and reaching in to grab hold of whoever had thrown that. When he lifted the offender they were dressed in a cloak, obscuring most of their form from his view. What he did see however was their face, complete with two large black eyes and mandibles on their face, mandibles which clattered in a panicked nature from being held. Gasping he promptly dropped... Whatever it was and stepped back, putting his hands up as though expecting a fight.

"W-Wait! We... We not enemies," the creature said quickly, its language slightly obscured by the clatter of its jaws. Shuffling forward on its legs it watched Takeshi confused as he backed off, tilting its head before looking to Shu and Viral instead. "You kill the chilopada? Awful creatures, attack homes and eat family and friends, awful." Seeing as Takeshi was avoiding it the being went directly towards the others, turning briefly and making some clicking sounds, signaling the other scouts that had come out with it. 4 more of its kind rose up from surrounding crops, spears and blades in hand for defending themselves. Looking at Viral the being turned its head slightly, examining his wounds before clicking again as another came forward. "You're injured, yes? We help, healer back in village. Please, come with us. They will want to thank you."

The village itself was at the base of the plateau as expected, a large bonfire in the entrance designating the way. What they hadn't seen from a distance were the structures built up along the side of the rockwall as well, stairways connecting them to the ground. In large the land below was reserved for a few buildings and farmland while above seemed to be where most of their kind lived, some buildings high up on stilts, several meters away from anything that prowled below. Their stop would be one of the buildings on the ground, a small shack tucked up by a crevice in the plateau. Passing by the two incense burning at the door they were greeted by an elderly member of these people, long hairs grown on his face resembling a beard almost and a well worn, blue cloak covering his back. He had herbs and elixers to cure most ailments, they were told, and some wounds like Viral's should heal easily enough.

Getting Viral some medical attention was all fine and dandy but Takeshi had very little desire to be here. Everyone present were in effect bugs, or something like them. The way they skittered around, their faces, he'd even seen a few of them fly a bit. It was like being in a town of beetles just crawling around every which direction and he couldn't do a thing about it. Worse still was now that Viral was being seen to they were stuck for a bit, and so he found himself off in one of the corners of the shack, sat down with his knees pulled up as he tried to ignore the fact he was in a nest. Worst night in a long while, that was for sure.

Viral gave a glance to Shu before watching as the creature instead melted away along with all his effort, this whole journey meaning nothing. All that searching for food and it all melted away just like that, as if it was nothing and a waste of life. Everybody back at the camp was waiting for him to bring something back to them and even if the creature had displayed some acidic tendencies it still didn’t mean it wasn’t possible to check for meat that wasn’t usable and safe. Angry with himself and especially for Takeshi for ignoring most of the fight he growled lowly, looking back at him before away again. How dare he look at him like that after doing nothing to help him, only helping Shu when things were dire for him. Shu being in trouble was fine, but when he was in trouble himself there was no need to call to action.

Dismissing Takeshi, his attention was taken to the shrubs as something was very noticeably moving around in them. Trying to focus on what it could be he spotted the little figures before Takeshi even had a chance to pull them out, noting their strange look which was oddly themed around what they had just encountered. These must had been the people who came from the settlement, but he didn’t have time for those people. Not much caring for what they had to say he slowly moved to turn around before stopping when one talked about him, slowly turning to face it again. He didn’t want a healer, he needed to get food for the others. The others were desperately needing food, they had been out for too long and were probably getting worried. He didn’t have time to care about his body right now, even if it was night time. The sun being down was no excuse for him to give up. Groaning under his breath he slowly followed after the natives, holding his paw to his chest before looking down at the blood. He figured he had lost a fair volume of blood by running, but that didn’t seem to be the case as he still was bleeding. Unless after all that time he was still bleeding due to the wounds being fairly deep, he was not healing up like he was supposed to. He guessed he had to go with these people, otherwise he might not make it back to the camp.

Shu was rather worried for his friend but he was also worried over these strangers thinking they might try to harm them. He could see those weapons of theirs, but as they spoke he frowned and looked to Viral again. They were certainly quick to explain themselves, but then again Takeshi threatening them was hardly pleasant. They certainly had a strange appearance too, like big bugs but less scary looking like the other. Since Takeshi and Viral appeared to be willing to follow them he had to follow too, even if he was not sure about them. Keeping fairly close to Takeshi and Viral he analysed his surroundings and the land they were being lead to, the entire place looking fairly pleasant and somewhat comforting. Maybe they could help Viral out a bit, but he didn’t know why they wanted to just because they had killed a creature that they didn’t know was causing problems in the first place. He felt guilty somehow, like he was taking credit for something he didn’t know about. Watching the people curiously he soon frowned, glancing up at Takeshi. “What we do…? Do we tell the others? They be waiting for us”, he spoke quietly before looking into the building they were being lead to, staring at the strange person inside before looking back to Takeshi, “It smell funny in here…”

Takeshi really would prefer not to be here right now, having to sit around all these people was proving to be awfully unpleasant. Thankfully they seemed to pick that up and, after checking for injuries, in large left him alone. Meanwhile Viral was being tended to with some minor wounds from the monster and Shu was fine, if a bit gross for being spewed on. There was a glaring issue with their being here as well and that was the fact they hadn't gotten any food for everyone yet, coming up just as empty handed as they had been upon setting out earlier. It would really suck if they had to return to the camp with nothing to show for all their effort. "I mean we gotta go back, you know? Whether we have food or not," Takeshi pointed out before frowning as his stomach growled in protest. It did indeed smell funny in the building, and it also agitated his already empty stomach. Some of the herbs smelled reminiscent of spices they might have back on Earth and that did little to relieve his hunger. Placing a hand on his stomach he followed the others into the doctor's home, glancing around curiously when he saw bottles and bottles of leaves, various bits of who knows what and a fair deal of cloth. Oh great, one of these kinds of doctors.

The elder was busy going about tending to Viral's wounds, using a herb to first cleanse it of any sickness that may have gotten in. The beast's claws weren't the cleanest, he had told them, and risked infection if not treated. Luckily they were accustomed to its attacks and knew how to deal with injuries sustained from its attacks. "Lucky, to survive. Many of our brave die trying to kill it," the elder explained, using a damp cloth to swab away some of the remaining pulp from the plants, "You've done our people great service, very great indeed. Can freely travel and work at night now without fear of attack." It had been too long since they could say that, several seasons in fact. With the wildlife having in large moved away because of the beast too they had to rely even more on farming than before but now that should change. Taking a leaf from a jar which smelled heavily of peppermint he applied it to Viral's more visible wounds, using strips of cloth to secure it over the injury. "Liquid from leaves help seal wounds, help to keep from itching. Keep on for day then take off, keep wounds covered best you can after."

Shu really could use a cleaning up, that was for sure. He didn’t like feeling like he had been eaten, not that he had been eaten a lot or at all as a matter of fact. It was one of those fearful situations, but that was natural for someone who grew up around predators that were scary to fight. Sighing lightly as he finally got to relax he looked over to Takeshi when he spoke before smiling, bouncing on his toes. “Maybe! Maybe find something on way back too, maybe nobody eat at all…but that be bad…” he spoke, thinking about it before springing forward, “Hope everyone be okay, though. I hope Mister Viral will be okay too. Ooh! Hopefully nobody be mad too. Miss Yumi will be mad that Mister Viral got hurt too…” They should probably get into contact with the others and let them know they were somewhere safe, especially when it had been so long. He hoped nobody was worried over them, he didn’t want anybody to think they had gone missing, but he didn’t know how they might find them if they did say they found a settlement. It was all so confusing and worrying, especially when so many were counting on them for food.

Viral was particularly patient with this alien helping him tend to his wounds, even with the thought of hunting having to be put on hold for this. It wasn’t entirely his fault after all, it was Takeshi’s mostly with his inability to get over his stupid fears and actually help him from grave injury. He was quick enough to help his brother out, but when it came to him Takeshi was very willing to sit back and wait for him to get out of the problems himself. It felt as if his life wasn’t worth as much to Takeshi as his brother’s was, but who was he to judge a relationship like that; however, that still didn’t mean he deserved to be left behind. Watching the elder tend to his wounds he sighed. “I’ve had worse injuries…I was simply too slow to kill it before this happened…” Generally disliking the smell of the leaf at this moment he groaned and looked away as his wounds were patched up as if he didn’t want to express the fact that he was feeling discomfort towards the treatment, eventually frowning. “I don’t know how long it will be before I end up receiving further injury. I still need to find food for the rest of my party and fight some more monsters later. I need to get going immediately…”

"Nah we'll eat buddy, we'll find something. Just probably won't be what we were hoping for," Takeshi said as he waved his hand. Letting out a sigh then he relaxed against the wall of the shack, glancing up at the ceiling and folding his arms. "And don't worry, if Yumi gets mad at anyone it's gonna be me. Viral got hurt and you nearly became a snack, that's on me..." Because he'd been too much of a coward to stop the creature from trying those things earlier, and sure he sacked up, but he'd still been terrified even while fighting. So he'd screwed up here not anyone else, and all that after talking big an saying Shu would be the one unable to fight. If this wasn't a slap to the face then he didn't know what was. Pausing briefly to watch the medicine man work on Viral he let out a sigh, running a hand back through his hair before looking towards the door. "I wonder how we'll tell everyone what's going on. We didn't bring scouters or anything, guess we'd have to head back."

"Even so... Not a pleasant beast to fight, no. Many brave, capable warriors died by it, you are lucky not to have suffered the same fate," the healer reiterated, removing some of the pulp from Viral's wounds as it cleansed them. In fact the other two he had traveled with did not even appear injured, though the little one smelled decidedly foul. Placing a few leaves on the bigger wounds they were bound to Viral by bandages, with luck they would be enough to pull out any remaining impurities and help his wounds heal quicker. "If it is food you need we have plenty. We plan to celebrate you killing the monster, it is a big victory for us. You can not even begin to imagine," the healer explained with a shake of his head, finishing the last few bandages as he checked Viral once more, making sure nothing serious was missed. It would not do to make a mistake to mistreat the people who had just delivered them from the terror of that beast.

Frowning at the mention of more monsters the healer glanced at Viral curiously, his head tilting slightly before he set down his tools. "Wait, please. Be back soon." Shuffling past the group he left his shack to speak to one of the guards outside, sending them off to fetch the chieftain before returning inside. "Please, tell me. Monsters you seek, what are they like? Do you know? New creatures appear recently, large and ferocious. Our men not accustomed to fighting them, many die trying to slay just one. Thankfully they don't attack, no interest here it seems, but we worry. How long until that changes?"

Shu stared out blankly at first before having a giggle, rubbing his hands together. “Yeah! She gonna be mad at you! So mad at you! Mister Viral and Miss Yumi are best friends and you let her best friend get hurt”, he spoke, rocking on his feet, “Maybe best to practice apology to Miss Yumi before Mister Viral tells her how much you no help”. Takeshi would just get into bigger trouble if Takeshi didn’t immediately tell Yumi that Viral had got hurt on their trip out and said why; besides, he had always been taught to admit mistakes that were made instead of waiting until it got worse and more guilt was created. Squeaking, he bounced on his toes again, looking up at Takeshi. “We should fly back! Mister Viral can’t fly, how will he make it back with him if he too hurt? No sun for Mister Viral to heal with too, which is bad…ooh, hope no full moon soon too…”

Viral held very little care for his health right now so hearing he could had died didn’t faze him, he was fine with just getting rid of it and avenging so many warriors who tried to fight it. “I’m guessing that thing isn’t a regular in your forest, then…” Not feeling particularly curious about the creature he instead paid attention to how his wounds were being treated, simply wondering after seeing them all cleaned up just now deep they might be. He didn’t have accelerated healing at night, it would mean hoping he could heal before the creatures appeared so that he might be able to fight at full capacity. No doubt he was going to be sluggish in the morning and if those creatures happened to come in the morning he was going to have a hard time keeping up with everyone else, only looking like a fool to the other Beastmen. No way would they respect him if he performed like a cub, they would all despise him. “Hmm…if you have food for a large group as well…but I have no way to let them know…”

Looking up when he was told to wait he groaned slightly, hardly seeing how he could move immediately after treatment unless he wanted to fall on his face. Waiting around for the native to return he slowly raised his paw to his wounds before dropping it again when they returned. Listening to what he had to say he frowned, narrowing his gaze slightly. “Hmm…they are large creatures with four limbs, the fronts much larger than the back with large claws. Some have spiked armour…some look almost fluid-like. They should appear very unnatural to your planet considering what I’ve seen so far…”

"You are way too happy about that, you twerp..." Takeshi grumbled with a narrowed stare in Shu's direction. He was always the one that was on the receiving end of Yumi's smacks regardless of who was at fault, it always seemed to come back to him. Sticking out his tongue at Shu the older boy huffed before folding his arms again, a faint blush crossing his cheeks as he looked back towards the door indignantly. "I don't have to practice a stinkin' apology, you make it sound like I do this all the time!" Which maybe he did, he did something to earn those smacks he so frequently got. Shu made a turnaround then and brought up a fair point, they had to get back to the others and let them know what had happened. And show up with no food, which was really going to suck. It was a good idea to head back but Takeshi had one slight problem with it. "Why don't I just head back? You hang here, stay with Viral and... I don't know, maybe see if these guys got something to eat? I can fly faster than you and that gives Viral a chance to relax, you know?"

"Not regular, no. Live further away but migrate, when food becomes low they migrate. Dangerous beasts." If that wasn't obvious enough by what they had gone through to kill it. To think it was one of the larger ones too and they had still managed to defeat it largely unharmed, who would have thought someone like that was here? It was a little intimidating and yet the healer felt no reason to worry, figuring if they were to be attacked they would have been by now. These people were clearly travelers from elsewhere and weren't here to cause trouble. "Our scouts help, if we can. Know the land well and can fly quick, we'll help. Least we can do." When Viral mentioned they were chasing beasts the healer had to notify the guard, having a hunch that could very well work out well for both parties. Returning then to finish mending the man's wounds he nodded once the descriptions were given, the alien sighing before speaking unintelligibly in their own tongue for a brief moment. "Yes, the Dark Ones. They appear recently and usually stay away from our towns, but dangerous. Many warriors die already and we worry why they may be here. They sound like the ones you seek. Let us help you, if you help us. Rid us of these things and we provide all food you need, and shelter, whatever you ask of us."

Takeshi had overheard a bit of the conversation and came over, leaning in and poking Viral on the shoulder for his attention. "Hey... if we gotta tell the others I can get them? I mean, if we're going to be fighting these things, you know? May as well bring everyone back here. I can fly and I can get there and back with everyone fast enough, you and Shu can stay here and relax."

"Oh, so the timid one speaks! You speak of your friends, yes? If you help with Dark Ones we provide food, and we heal wounded. Understand it is not your home, do not need risk yourselves for our sake. But we do all we can to show gratitude if you help." the healer spoke, a bit oblivious to what Takeshi's growing red in the face meant. The sound of the doors parting again drew the healer's attention to the front of the building where two guards, and a far larger member of their tribe entered. He was about Viral's size and was quite clearly older, his skin harder and dull and several scars across his body. "Chieftain! These people, they seek the Dark Ones. Help if we provide food!"

The chieftain glanced between Viral, Takeshi and Shu silently as he tried to decide on their proposal. Or rather his healer's proposal, he wasn't aware anyone was making a deal to give away their food. What the scouts said was true however and the beast was dead, food shouldn't be an issue for very long now that animals would be returning. "Odd people... Never seen any like you before, not for many cycles," he muttered, reaching up and itching at a scar over his right eye, "But you slay the beast, and for that we are grateful. If you need food we will give food, but it is as you were told, the Dark Ones are a threat as well. If you seek them then let us help each other. I'll send scouts with you, then you rest, and tomorrow you slay Dark Ones. Do we have a deal?"

Shu giggled when Takeshi gave him the death stare, smiling back at him. “Well you always get in trouble with her!” It was true too, they always seemed to have moments where they would fight over things that were considered mistakes made or trying to hide things. “Always get in trouble! Need to be quick to say sorry!” Takeshi should really learn how to apologise quickly when it came to making mistakes, especially ones as big as letting his friend get stabbed. He didn’t think Takeshi even apologised to Viral for not helping him when he was in trouble. If Takeshi was seen as shifty and untrustworthy to Viral already, it was probably going to be very hard to get on Viral’s good side again after everything that happened. Looking to Takeshi when he mentioned waiting so he could get the others he squeaked, bouncing on his toes. “Ooh! Okay! Faster than Shu? I relax good, okay! Pretty relaxed, but darkness make me feel tired too…”

Viral stared at the native before sighing, looking away. It sounded like where ever that creature had come from in the first place there was a food problem, meaning it was possible their targets had been out here for some time messing up the ecosystem. They would have to find out where exactly that creature would had migrated from if there was a food problem elsewhere that was unnatural. Listening to the healer offer up some help he looked to them when they decided it was best to talk to the nearby guard, simply watching them as they spoke in their own language. It was a little strange that these aliens could speak the universal language and yet they were told there was no intelligent life here, perhaps because they had been driven into little pockets of civilisation after some sort of struggle that had the authorities of the galaxy declare them extinct. He was really starting to wonder now, whether something had indeed happened on this planet that others were pretending didn’t happen in the first place and only accounted to their ‘absence’ as never existing in the first place.

When the native returned he frowned when they gave him a proposition, something they were going to do anyway. They didn’t want those things to exist as much as the natives do so it was a win-win situation for both parties as far as he was concerned. “…We’ll get rid of them. If your scouts can find them, we’ll kill them”. When Takeshi came over and gave him a poke he gave him an annoyed glare before looking elsewhere. If Takeshi was fine with transporting the other Beastmen as well then there was generally no problem to that, so long as the group could be found again. Takeshi was terrible at tracking and it was dark so he’ll see if he could find the others and come back with them before the morning. At the sound of the doors opening once more he looked up, staring at the larger native who appeared to be declared their Chieftain. Watching the native carefully he listened as he spoke, further analysing their situation as he wondered what kept these natives in the dark from the rest of civilisation off the planet. They clearly had been in contact with outsiders before, otherwise they would had been attacked despite killing the beast. “We were here originally trying to find them. We need to if we’re going to save your planet…” he spoke lowly, “If I wasn’t injured I would go out and kill them right now. The sooner they’re found, the better…”

Stupid Shu, though he was right about the not apologizing part. He'd never really had to do it before in his defense, living alone and whatnot. Plus he hadn't exactly been brought up to apologize now had he? Wasn't his fault. It must have been funny for the younger boy however to recognize Viral needed an apology as well where it hadn't even crossed Takeshi's mind yet, and likely never would. That wasn't to say he didn't feel bad for the ordeal but he didn't think an apology was going to do anything for it. The most he could do at this point was make himself useful and go get the others since it sounded like these people were going to feed them for their efforts. Even with it being an alien world he still knew the general direction from which they had come and, if he was going with some scouts like the big guy had said, it would be even easier to get there and back. He'd kind of prefer to do it without the help of the scouts however if it could be helped as he was still having a little trouble with their being bug people. He was only finally getting used to T'charrl now and suddenly there were more?

"Save planet...? Are the Dark Ones this dangerous?" the Chieftain asked, exchanging a look with the healer before rubbing his head, "I see... Rest tonight, we feed you and mend wounds. Tomorrow your strength recovers, we will show you where beasts come from and do what we can to help. If you can slay them then we will owe you all great debt." If they were travelers he wasn't sure if there was anything they would need or they could offer that would be worthwhile. Food perhaps? Their weapons weren't needed if they had killed that monster without them, and they didn't have many items that would probably considered valuable by an outsider. "Whatever your price, tell me and it is yours. We will be sure to pay for your help, I swear on this."

"We don't gotta be paid for this, don't worry about it," Takeshi interjected with a smirk, squirming slightly when the Chieftain looked at him. Ugh, those beady black eyes... "Er... We came here not thinking there was anyone here, you know? So uh... We'll do it for free, we've fought them before, we know what we're doing. Shouldn't be too hard." Then again they had never had to seal one of the rifts before and who knows what the hell that sort of thing entailed.

Ah, so the meek one did speak, that was good. And hearing they wished for no payment was certainly a touch odd, even more that they had come here to kill the Dark Ones for no reason but simply to do so. It was odd, seeing someone so selfless, and the Chieftain had something of a hard time believing it was completely genuine. "Well... We will try, it is only right to reward, dangerous beasts, the Dark Ones. Fighting them should not be taken lightly." To his two guards the Chieftain spoke in their own tongue, and it made one have to wonder how they had learned the common tongue if they had their own language. He had asked them to prepare to leave with Takeshi, looking at the Saiyan in question. "Show them your camp, they will guide others back. We keep your friends healthy and safe, we wait for your return."

"Seriously, we don't need anything, we're here to kill these things for free," Takeshi repeated, shrugging before looking at the two smaller aliens. Ugh, the way their eyes bore into him when they looked at him, and those freaky mouths... Smiling nervously he rubbed at his neck before glancing at the door, mistakenly conveying he was ready to leave as they exited the building. Blinking once he let out a sigh, smiling at Shu and Viral before giving a small wave and following them out. Seeing the two guards spread their wings made his stomach churn for the second time yet he managed to keep it down this time, groaning before shaking his head and simply rising up into the air. Surely he got some odd looks just then as he lifted off without any wings like them but they were quick to follow suit, Takeshi leading the way out of the village and back towards their friends.

Viral didn’t want anything like payment, he didn’t even care for the food himself. So long as everybody else could get fed he was fine with everything else. To know that everyone was out there waiting for him to find food made him angry with himself for not being able to provide. He was a hunter, he was supposed to be able to find an animal and bring it back for food but none of that happened. He should had brought a scouter or something, just so he could tell them it was a lost cause and that they shouldn’t expect something to be brought back, but rather come to them because they happened to find locals who were willing to part with some of their food in exchange for killing the monsters. Sighing lightly as he tried to relax he frowned at the notion of payment, not understanding how it would help them but sure enough Takeshi quickly. It wouldn’t work for either party anyway, they had no use for payment.

Staring at Takeshi he sighed in annoyance at his rather disrespectful body language, definitely seeing that as the most idiotic response he could make. This was hardly the time to show how cowardly you were to outward appearances, especially when these people didn’t deserve any of it. Growling lowly as he gave him a glaring at he soon sighed, trying to relax so that he wouldn’t tense up and make things worse for himself. Staring at Takeshi as he made his leave he soon looked away, instead watching as Shu came over to sit before his eyes went to the Chieftain. “About these…’Dark Ones’. How long have they existed around here? Have they be doing anything strange other than be a general threat to your people? We need to get rid of them as soon as possible…before they can complete whatever they’re trying to do…” It was quite a pain to try and talk, but he had to get as much information as possible just in case the creatures had moved on since they were last seen. He could try and track them from there if possible, at least to make up for his inability to find wildlife to feed them before it got so late. “If you’re so certain about paying us too…just…all we may need is medical attention after. We don’t know how strong they will be, but we can’t take risks like transporting the injured without proper treatment…”

What an odd person, that one was. Why was he so eager to leave his comrades behind? The Chieftain assumed it was to alert the others and bring them here but there was a distinct nervousness about him too. Not giving it much of a second thought once Takeshi left he moved into the building and sat his large frame down on a chair, the wood groaning in protest but managing to somehow remain together. "They have been here... Week? And there have been strange things, yes. An entire village vanished, no trace. Not just destroyed, destroyed would make sense. We travel there to investigate and find nothing. Flat land, like it never existed. No survivors, none we've found. Dark Ones seen occasionally but not often, only in certain areas. Don't know why they are here." It appeared as though these people had some inkling as to why that was, or at least had the intention to find out why. While it wasn't fitting to let strangers fight your battles the Chieftain did recognize they were outmatched by these beasts, and having slain one of those wretched chilopadas they seemed more capable than any of his own warriors.

"Medical attention easy. Other villages help too, if need be. Rarely work together but Dark Ones make us, we band together in dire times to survive. You have my village's support, and I will ask others as well. Whatever is needed you will have." He would promise troops as well if he thought it would do any good. Their weapons had been largely ineffective and, loath as he was to admit it, the one they had killed had likely been purely luck. There was the small issue too of the beasts turning to smoke when slain which was something none of them had ever seen, and there was no way of knowing what it meant. "Dark Ones... When they die, they turn to smoke. Does this mean they are dead? Or do they leave? Used to animals bleeding when slain, body remains behind as the spirit passes on. But these... It is like they do not exist. How do you defeat something like this?"

If there was one upside to being the one going back it was Takeshi could fly this time, which meant covering ground was far easier. The aliens were able to fly to and, impressively enough, kept decent pace with him so long as he didn't really push it. He did have to ignore the beating of their wings behind him as the sound made his skin crawl but that wasn't too hard, he just had to stare at the ground to block out the sounds. In what took them maybe an hour to travel on foot he and the scouts had covered in just minutes, and before long he was beginning to see some awfully familiar terrain. Sure enough after 7 minutes had elapsed there was a glow from within the forest and a small tower of smoke, the spot where their camp had been set up. Slowing himself down he dropped towards the ground first with the aliens following suit seconds later, landing just at the edge of the camp. The confused looks he got from everyone hardly instilled confidence in him, and what Yumi said next had him all sorts of nervous.

"Where are Shu and Viral...?" Yumi asked with a frown, getting up from her seat and watching as the two scouts landed as well. Who the heck were they? They were some kind of bugs from the looks of them too which made it all the more confusing to see Takeshi with them. When she didn't get an answer immediately she approached Takeshi, smiling politely when the guards seemed to tense up and putting her hands up as a show of trust. "I just want to ask my friend here where the others are. Three of them left earlier and he's the only one back, I'd like to know why," she explained, looking at Takeshi as her lips flipped into a frown, placing her hands on her hips expectantly.

Takeshi swallowed back nerves before smiling, rubbing at his neck as he glanced towards the others. "Well uh... You see, we were looking for food like we said we would be, but we didn't find anything. While we were looking we sort of ran into this... Thing. It was some centipede thing, and it uh... Well it tried to eat us," he began, and noticing the surprised look on Yumi's face he quickly waved his hands to try and dismiss whatever she was thinking, "We killed it! No one got eaten, we're completely fine. Uh... I mean we're mostly fine. Viral sort of... Well he got some scrapes and cuts, and I kind of screwed up and... It's my fault?" Not exactly how his admission was supposed to go but it was hard to speak with Yumi looking at him like that. Smiling meekly he pressed his fingers together as Shu had often done, wincing when he was smacked over the head and ended up face down in the dirt, the back of his head throbbing dully.

"Viral was hurt and you just left? What are you an idiot?" Yumi snapped, glaring down at Takeshi.

"N-No! I mean yes I'm an idiot, but no, I didn't just leave! He's being taken care of!" Takeshi said quickly, looking up nervously as he expected to be struck again. "The thing we killed was giving these guys trouble, so they're thanking us by helping treat his wounds. But uh... Well I think they know where those things we're chasing are. And they wanted us to kill them too, so I figured we could go back there and uh... Well do it?"

"Chieftain has also promised food, feed all of you for help," one of the scouts chimed in, holding their spear against their shoulder for comfort, "Come with us, feed you and place to rest. Then tomorrow we show where Dark Ones are, where they travel. We cannot fight but we can show, and we do anything else you need."

"So assuming these 'Dark Ones' are the same creatures we're after, you can show us where to find them?" Vegeta asked, making sure he had heard correctly. This seemed a touch unusual as they had been told there was no kind of civilization on this world, yet clearly that information was wrong. They didn't appear to be a hostile sort however if they were promising food and helping Viral, or if they were they were going to painstaking odds to portray otherwise. "Then I guess there's been a change of plans, hasn't there? Unless anyone objects to us going with these people?"

Haku shook his head as soon as the question was asked, placing a hand on his growling stomach. "I just want something to eat, that's all. Fighting on an empty stomach would r-really stink..." Fighting at all was going to stink but he'd committed to doing this, against his better judgment he might add. He was still convinced he was more of a liability by being here than anything but he had to try and man up, otherwise he'd just spend all his time running away and cowering. Though running away did sound awfully nice right now...

"Food and a fight? As if you had to ask!" Eris shouted, grinning toothily as she sprang to her feet.

"The sooner we find these beasts the better. And... I wouldn't hate a meal either," Orion added, getting up and stretching out his heavy frame, "Just lead the way and point us in the right direction, these creatures need to be slain before long."

Viral definitely didn’t like the length of time the creatures had been here for, especially the shenanigans that had been going on before they arrived. A whole village disappearing meant they had most likely been spirited away by these creatures, he didn’t see any reason why it would be anything else since there would surely be signs of bloodshed if they had been devoured. Maybe it was true, that they were being taken to another dimension for use there. He didn’t know what to do about that, there was no time to investigate if they were in the other realm somewhere since they had to destroy the connection immediately. Maybe that village was where the portal was now, just hidden and waiting for them to get there to find that connection again. They would have to move quickly tomorrow, there was no way they could fool around for too long once morning came.

“So…that’s why your species are registered as non-existent off-world. Your population is fairly split and secluded…” These natives were fairly good at hiding from officials who would be in charge of analysing populations and keeping note of the official native species. It probably happened a lot with other planets too, so it was probably no big deal and something they would just have to mention when they return. Really hating the thought of having to do the rebel’s work he let out a groan, looking back to the Chieftain at the mention of what happened to the beasts. “That’s them alright. We don’t know what happens to them, but we’ll soon find out the difference between that and death in their own world. Finding that out is my job…”

Back at the camp the wait for Takeshi and the others to return felt like forever and everybody was starting to feel rather hungry. T’charrl didn’t know how to measure his own hunger, he always felt hungry. He didn’t have any real control over hunger quite yet so this wait was a matter of patience and keeping the urges to bite something away for now. Finding the moonlight to be rather pleasant he gasped when the sound of flight could be heard, his mind immediately going to attackers first before he eventually remembered he wasn’t on his home planet anymore. Still curious to who it was he saw Takeshi there but he had arrived with a couple of strange looking people who flew like he did. Staring at them curiously he gasped when there was the realisation that Viral and Shu was definitely not there, his eyes going to Yumi and her conversation with Takeshi to understand the situation. He had no idea what Takeshi was trying to say, something about Viral getting hurt and being somewhere else with Shu.

Frowning, he slowly stood up as his eyes went to the aliens, tilting his head as he tried to understand them. He didn’t know what it was about them but he felt closer to them than he did to the others, like there wasn’t much difference between him and these natives. Twitching his antennae he soon snapped out of it when Eris suddenly shouted out, looking to her before to the larger Beastman. If Takeshi and these natives flew here it would be best if they flew too, but two of their party couldn’t fly and would either have to run with them or be carried. “Uhh, how do we get there, exactly? Is it far?” he asked quietly, stretching his wings out, “Is it okay if we carry Eris and Orion or uhh, is it close enough for ground running?”

"There are larger settlements, with hundreds of people, many more than our own. But too many ideas, too many worshiping different gods, no agreement. Work together in dire times but ignore others other times. Unless we fight, which not happen for long time thankfully." Peace wasn't that rare a thing but it was often disrupted, which the Chieftain supposed the creatures were a blessing in that regard; no one wanted to fight not knowing what would come next, this unknown enemy had done wonders for uniting them. Shame it took fear to do it, but he couldn't complain about his men not having to go off and battle. "Their own world? They come from another too? Like you?" the alien asked in confusion, tilting his head and giving it a scratch, "No understand... We have those from other world before, still don't understand from where they come. If there is way to kill though... Please, find it. If they attack again we must be ready, cannot allow monsters to drive us from our homes. Will not allow it."

Takeshi didn't know what else to expect when he arrived with the news other than being smacked and told he had been an idiot. Which to be fair he had been, it wasn't up for argument like normally, he'd clearly been the one at fault here. As if it wasn't shameful enough having to tell them about it himself. Picking himself up off the ground he cleared his throat awkwardly, glancing back at the scouts before smiling sheepishly at T'charrl. "Uh... Well we fly, and it's not too far really. Took us a while on foot but I flew here in... I don't know, 3 minutes? Something like that. We gotta pass through the forest and get to the other side is all, not too bad. And uh... I mean we could walk, or we can fly. Flying's faster honestly and we're probably better off. I mean who knows what's in the woods, you know?"

"I would imagine our guides would know," Vegeta pointed out, kicking dirt into their fire to snuff it out. Once he was satisfied it was thoroughly extinguished he looked at Eris and Orion curiously while pointing up to the sky lazily. "Up to you two, we're all capable of flight, you're not. Carrying you would be an easy task for us if you don't mind flying."

"I'm sick of flying, we were crammed in that ship on the way here so I've had my fill. I'll run on the ground after you, thanks," Eris answered with a grin, "Just because I can't use Ki like you doesn't mean I'm hopeless, I'm plenty fast on the ground once I get up to full speed. You won't have to worry about me, and the big oaf here can keep up with me too. He might not seem it but he can be faster than he looks."

Orion rolled his eyes as Eris vouched for his speed, folding his arms and lifting his head a bit proudly. "Patronizing aside she isn't wrong, I'm perfectly capable of running under my own power. I'll remain on foot with Eris, we'll follow close behind. It makes sense to have eyes on the ground anyways, if there are any of those beasts down below it would be impossible to see them over the treetops."

"Fair enough, then it seems like we'll be flying, and you two can be our eyes on the ground. If that's settled we should get moving as soon as possible, the longer we wait the worse the situation could become." They didn't even know the current situation really and wouldn't until they reached the site of the rift, until then it was a mystery. Though with luck the local residents had some news for them, anything to go off of for their search. Rising up into the air he glanced at the others as they did the same, "Everyone keep your eyes open, if we see anything out of the ordinary we should investigate it, even if it means putting off the village. They should be fine there, preventing a calamity takes slight precedence here."

Viral let out a groan at the suggestion of gods, seeing the whole idea that there was such things as childish. Despite these natives knowing their language, they certainly seemed to have little concept of the universe other than them believing they were the most important creatures on the planet. Either way he was in no position to start questioning why they bothered with such traditions, he just needed to tolerate their weirdness for a little while longer. “It’s beneficial to unite rather than divide…” he spoke lowly, holding his paw to his stomach, “Off-planet your species is declared non-existent. It would probably be best for your species to have some contact with the other worlds to avoid these things happening in the first place…” Finding it rather difficult to keep talking like this he frowned when it continued to talk, more specifically about the creatures and fighting against them. There was no way these guys could do anything, it was pointless to even try. “They don’t come from off planet…” he sighed, “Your kind fighting them would be pointless, they’re too strong for your species to handle without proper training. That’s why your kind should be in contact with the rest of the planets, so we can help you with these threats. We only knew to go to this planet because of a tip off…”

T’charrl was curious about these aliens, sure, but what he was especially curious about now was what kind of food they ate. They didn’t have his facial anatomy, they looked more like predators which meant they were probably going to be eating lots of meat. Meat was still a rather hard thing for him to eat so much of, but it provided high energy to keep his body going to which his body now craved. It was embarrassing having to tell his parents about it at first, but luckily he was around people who ate meat on a regular basis so he didn’t have to look strange or feel embarrassed by his diet. Instead directing his attention to the task at hand he asked about how they might travel to the place, giving the others a look over to see what they would be fine with doing. It sounded like they were just going to run along with them then, hopefully they won’t get lost if they run into trouble. Backing away from others he soon started to fly himself, opting to fly traditionally again instead of with Ki. He was fairly good at keeping his senses high during this time of day so keeping a look at from above was going to be no problem for him. “How come we didn’t see the village when we arrived? Is it underground?”

"Easier to speak than to do, as a warrior you know this," the Chieftain spoke plainly, "No way to contact, no way to reach stars where travelers come from. Last visitors have many brilliant things, things we never could dream of having. Tools to cook food, weaponry excellent at fending off beasts. But we don't possess anything like those, we are too... Too..." He couldn't think of a word beside 'lesser' and that wasn't remotely what he wanted to say. Otherworldly machines and tools didn't make a warrior powerful, it was the way one honed their body, mind and spirit. So they were not lesser, they just didn't live as others did. Hearing their battling the Dark Ones would be moot stung the pride quite a lot, they had never backed down from an enemy. They had even managed to "kill" one of the beasts before, albeit with casualties, so it wasn't as though they were utterly powerless. "Even if we wish to seek help outside, other communities not as open. Others too prideful, some too cautious. We are one of but a few who have had travelers... Or, had travelers and not try to kill. We understand you are not enemy but others will not, may never. It is why we cannot unite, and why we cannot be among the stars."

All things told Takeshi had managed to get out of there relatively unharmed and without Yumi mauling him. Of course that might change when she saw just how banged up Viral was though it wasn't like he had any life threatening injuries. Rather than dart off as quickly as he had this time he slowed himself along with the others, the natives taking the lead to make sure they got back. The sun was now well out of view and with it the dull glow they had used to navigate earlier, nothing but the moon high above giving faint illumination to the expanse beneath them. Good thing they had the guides as otherwise they were in large flying in the dark at the moment. Almost not even seeing T'charrl come up alongside him, jumping slightly in mid-air before smiling sheepishly at his own idiotic reaction. "Not exactly... Know those plateaus we've seen all over the place? Their village is kinda at the bottom of one, and they built on the side of it too. Hard to see from up above, you know? We probably passed over a couple on our way out here." Which had to make him wonder just how many of their kind knew about their arrival? The last thing Takeshi was wanting was for a crowd of these bug people to start showing up, the very idea got his skin crawling.

"H-Hey T'charrl... These people, they're uh... They're like you," Haku pointed out, smiling nervously as he looked at the backs of the scouts. "I mean they're... Bug people, right? Maybe... Maybe your people and theirs should try and uh... I don't know, be friends? Allies?" He had never seen people like T'charrl's until he met his friend and, far as he knew, this was the first time T'charrl had any seen others either. It must be nice seeing someone that was more similar to you though after being surrounded by humans and Saiyans for so long. If these people didn't exist apparently, or no one knew about them, would they be able to do that though? He had been on worlds before where they didn't have space travel and it always seemed odd, it was such a common thing to him all of his life and not having it... Well it was just strange. "M-Maybe... We should try helping these people? I mean wouldn't that be kind of cool? Y-You could... Uh... Kind of be an ambassador or something."

Just great, these people were more primitive than he hoped. Viral didn’t much like the whole declining of technology because of their lifestyle or whatever, but then again he was made using technology and could craft a technological wonder by using his energy. It was annoying that they would willingly hold themselves back from all of that, but there wasn’t exactly anything he could say that would change their minds about technology. “You would willingly not accept any of that because of your standings with other tribes…right”, he spoke, trying not to use the word ‘primitive’ when that’s what they were majorly. They were more primitive than other aliens he had come across, at least they were willing to accept technology and didn’t act like it would destroy their culture or cause them to all kill each other. It was certainly a little irritating, but he couldn’t do much about that, especially right now. “It’s not a fantastic world out there, anyway. Some war going on that I don’t much care about…but better than killing your own kind. Maybe in a hundred or so years, your kind will figure that out for themselves”.

T’charrl didn’t entirely know how they were able to miss the village unless it was hidden well, but apparently they managed to miss it rather spectacularly as they appeared to had gone right past all of them. Maybe he should had looked out the window a little more often for any signs of life rather than just assuming they were going to land here and be alone to find the beasts. It probably would had helped a ton too, seeing how the beasts were hard to find and they had a whole planet to look over. “Oh…I guess they would know where those creatures are too. Would had been helpful to look, I guess…” Sighing lightly he gasped when Haku decided to talk to him again, looking to him when he spoke about similarities. Frowning when he was essentially called a bug again he looked away. “We’re not bugs…a-and I don’t know. My planet is so far away and we can’t even travel through space yet to be allies and have meetings”. While it would be nice if his kind could travel through space like they all could, he feared the increase in technology and being able to travel more would have his people trying to conquer other planets. Despite a sizeable population deciding to unite in cities there was still a lot who were very much into claiming territories and starting up wars over it. Even his clan was seen as barbaric by surface dwellers, but that was mostly because of the General’s actions. “I think getting rid of the creatures from their planet would be enough to help them. I don’t think they would want too much help when they know their biggest threat is gone, right…? I may be a Prince, but I’m not really good at ambassador stuff, especially on this level…”

Haku had wondered about that too, how anyone had managed to miss the fact that there were in fact people living here. How would they not have seen the villages or anyone else for that matter? Seemed odd to him but if they had someone to guide them now he couldn't much complain. Plus these people should be someone that T'charrl could make friends with, or even his people could make friends with; Haku didn't want to have to worry about T'charrl making new friends and forgetting him but he did know that was also terribly selfish of him. "O-Oh... Your people don't go into space either... So that... Makes you the first?" That was kind of amazing to be able to claim something like that, it was much more than he'd ever be able to say of himself. Saiyans had been going into space for generations and generations and they had done most everything he could imagine, there wasn't much left for him to do. "Oh w-well... Yeah they should be happy about that. And you never know... M-Maybe they'll want to see more, if we show them? We have some stuff with us, they might want it?" If nothing else Haku figured it would be nice to have some more friends, and maybe someday have some allies for his people. That's something to work forward too right?

"Village just ahead, we land before and walk in," one of the scouts directed back to the group, pointing ahead with their spear. From a distance it appeared as nothing more than a rise off in the distance, the faintest of glows at the base of it. Drawing nearer however revealed that a village indeed rested there, albeit not the largest of villages by any stretch. Just as they had been told the majority of the buildings themselves rested along the wall of the rockface while the ground was largely dedicated to farmlands and a few buildings that couldn't quite be moved so easily. Descending upon the village some might wonder what the foul smell near the gates was, and the remains of the carcass of the beast slain earlier had been brought in: pieces of the creature could be used for medicines, believe it or not, and losing it would be terrible. So unpleasant as the stench may be they would have to deal with it for a brief while, until it was cleaned and the remains stored away anyways.

"See? I told you there was a village here! And uh... Oh jeez..." Takeshi was going to mention where their friends were until the smell hit his nose and made him gag, having to once again cover his mouth and nose to keep from hurling. Seriously why were those people keeping this crap? He really hoped they weren't planning on eating it, no one was that nuts right? Following the scouts as they doubled back towards the healer's shack he blinked once when the Chieftain emerged before them, having forgotten for a second how much bigger the guy was than the others of his kind. "Well here's my friends, uh... Chief. Turns out we weren't too far from the village anyways, probably would have found this place eventually."

So these were the traveler's friends then? They were all so very different, far different than the last visitors they had. One in particular almost seemed as though he belonged more with them than his companions, like they were almost out of place. Then again they knew nothing of the world beyond so perhaps this was normal. "Welcome travelers to our village. Small, but it is home, and we welcome you to it," he said as he placed his hands together before bowing and spreading his arms apart, the two scouts copying this gesture. "We know why you are here, and we help how we can. As we speak food is prepared and will be served, eat by the fire tonight and celebrate and prepare. So please, make yourselves comfortable."

Yumi was already way ahead of the Chieftain there as she walked past him and the scouts, making a beeline straight for the healer's home. Pushing the curtains apart to get inside she glanced around briefly and was relived to see both Shu and Viral there, the latter certainly a bit injured but otherwise unharmed. Sighing to herself she went to Viral first, leaning over and placing her arms around his shoulders in a hug, her head resting on his shoulder. "Thank goodness, I'm glad you're okay," she mumbled, smiling at him as she let go and gave him a pat on the back, "And before you complain I touched you and gave you cooties or whatever, I was worried, people hug when they're worried. Get used to it." If it were anyone else she would probably just keep a hold of them but it would probably give her friend a heart attack if she were to do that. Resisting the urge to hug him again she looked over at Shu, smiling and giving him a little wave before gesturing for him to come over. "Are you okay? You didn't get hurt too did you? Come here, let me see."

"I'm sure he's fine Yumi, otherwise the healer would be working with him too," Vegeta interrupted as he too entered the building, pausing briefly to glance at the containers scattered about the place. Certainly a more traditional medicine man if he'd ever seen one, using nothing but plants and fluids to treat his patients. A lost art form really, there weren't many doctors back on Earth who used wholly natural remedies to treat people anymore. Seeing Viral sat there and partially bandaged up he came over to appraise the damage for himself, relieved that all of the wounds appeared to be surface injuries at most and nothing terribly serious. "How are you feeling? I can perhaps help with those wounds if you want, though I don't doubt these people know what they're doing. Their anatomy is different than yours however, treatment from them may be... Lacking." It was a touch curt and perhaps even rude but it was the truth, treating aliens wasn't easy if you didn't know how their bodies worked. Then again if all Viral had were superficial wounds it would be as easy as causing them to coagulate and seal up on their own.

T’charrl nodded, feeling slightly embarrassed by the fact. “Yeah…I’m the first. It’s no big deal though. I mean…loads of people have gone to space and looking back at my own planet we are a small population and not really anything special”. The universe was massive compared to them so being the first anything just meant he was a weirdo compared to everyone else. He was different compared to a lot of races so that was one problem, the other problem was he really didn’t know how to handle being around so many races and it wasn’t him just being a little racist, it was just hard dealing with so much variety and he didn’t know if he was going to offend someone or not. It was really rather difficult trying to adjust and very stressful, probably a reason why his condition had advanced so quickly. He was going to have to get a handle on his abilities or he was going to go off the rails one of these days and never be able to return.

“I don’t trust my own people with advanced stuff, nevermind these people. I mean…I’m not saying they’re not smart! Just it can cause bad things to other people on the planet if one group have something good and they don’t”. As the village slowly came into view he looked over to the native when they were told to land nearby rather than in the village itself, following the instruction to land. Once down on the ground and in the village T’charrl had some mixed feelings about it, finding the way the village looked and how their warriors appeared to be dressed to be pretty primitive. He did kind of hope that their food wasn’t going to be primitive either, especially when he could easily go off the rails if the food he was eating was too ‘raw’. Maybe it would be fine, even if he had to skip a meal for the safety of the others.

Viral was certainly beginning to wonder if he was going to be allowed to move after all this by the time Yumi arrived, his eyes going to her quickly before he gasped as he was suddenly grabbed in a hold. Reaching up to pull at her arm he was instead slapped on the back with what would had otherwise been a simply pat if his insides weren’t feeling all sorts of rough. Feeling a little annoyed and embarrassed that she went right ahead with that without a thought he held his chest. “Please…don’t do that…” When Yumi went to check on Shu instead he looked down at himself before his eyes went to Vegeta instead as he decided to have a peek inside. Well that was certainly a quick transition between people seeing him. Sighing when he decided to try and take control of the situation as well he sighed, looking to his wounds. “That creature stabbed me a lot and I lost a lot of blood…but I think these will suffice until the morning when I can heal naturally”, he spoke lowly, disliking how controlling Vegeta was trying to be without openly insulting their ability to help him, “You might insult them if you start throwing your own techniques at me as if theirs is not good enough…”

Shu had been pretty quiet for most of the time because he was feeling tired. A combination of the different smells and the fact that it was dark outside was making him rather drowsy even if night time here wasn’t the same time as night time on Uunoue. He didn’t know why but anything to do with darkness made him feel sleepy, even if he was rather enthusiastic over the thought of eating. When Yumi arrived he let out a happy squeak, staring at her as she tended to Viral briefly before telling him to come on over. Bouncing in quick short bursts he made it over to Yumi, smiling up at her. “Shu okay! Very okay! Just smelly, need to wash…” he spoke quickly, looking down at himself briefly before looking back to Yumi, “Big evil bug attacked! Got it real good! But it melt away, no good for eating…no get other food…”

"S-Still though... You're the first of your kind! Who cares if other people did it? No one else on your world can s-say they did what you did," Haku argued, trying to help build T'charrl up a little bit. He sincerely did think it was cool, how many people could ever claim what his friend could? To someone like him, a Saiyan, it was normal to go to space, everyone did it. To them it was just as normal as people on Earth driving cars, or probably people on Uuonoe flying around in their little shuttles between cities. To them that was all normal but no one on T'charrl's world had ever gone to space, it was the first ever. Come to think of it he had never seen T'charrl's world for himself and now he sort of wanted to. From what he had been told it was a world with some cities both above and underground, the latter being nothing he had ever seen before, and massive trees everywhere. It sounded interesting if nothing else, maybe they could visit once this planet was taken care of.

The first thing Yumi did upon arrival was promptly rush to the building where Viral and Shu were, giving the former a hug and checking on him. Aside from some minor injuries he seemed largely okay and, unsurprisingly, he became flustered and tried moving her away when she hugged him. Already ahead of that she obliged by letting go and going to check on Shu instead, just as worried he may have been injured or something. When she got closer to him it finally occurred to her that he was quite smelly, her face wrinkling up in disgust before she had to pinch her nose with an apologetic smile. "Very smelly is an understatement. Sorry, this new nose makes it really hard to not notice things," she said, reaching with her free hand and giving Shu's head an affectionate pat, "And that's okay, food isn't that big of a problem. I'm just glad everyone is okay, that's what's important. Besides I think these people are going to give us food, isn't that great?" She did hope they weren't imposing or taking more than they had to offer, as goodness knows they could eat quite a lot, but these people seemed dead set on giving them a meal now.

"We have little choice there I suppose, I have no real tools with me. I'm glad you weren't seriously injured though, I was a bit concerned when Takeshi came back. Having to listen to him try and explain it one would think you'd lost a limb or something..." Far be it from Takeshi to accurately describe something, or be reliable in reporting for that matter. There were a lot of things the boy was, articulate or patient were not one of them. Knuckleheads aside there was some doubt as to the effectiveness of their naturalistic medicines here, particularly considering the differences in anatomy between them and the natives. Could they really even treat something as simple as some gashes? Viral didn't seem to be terribly injured nor in discomfort from their treatments and he even went as far to chastise Vegeta for questioning it. Smiling slightly he nodded once, rubbing the back of his head as he closed his eyes. "You're right, I shouldn't be so critical, not when they're doing us a favor. If you do need anything though let me know. I don't doubt they can help but they've also never treated someone like us I'd imagine, there may be things they miss."

After some time of being in the healer's shack a pair of locals finally came to fetch everyone: the food had been gathered and prepared by the central fire for them to enjoy. As the group moved back out and reached the fire they would find that indeed a veritable buffet had been prepared for them with plenty of different types of foods ready for them. Some of them were things most would likely not touch, clearly insectoid in nature and even fewer still were twitching as they lay on the platter. The majority of the foods appeared to be plant material, fruits and small slabs of some kinds of meats, all dark and still smoking from having been roasted over an open flame. It appeared there was too much food even for the lot of them until more of the village showed up, all apparently in attendance to celebrate the arrival of the travelers. They had slain a beast preventing them from hunting after all, and with that gone there was no longer the threat of a potential famine looming overhead, they no longer had to rely solely on crops.

"Family, friends, guests, please enjoy!" the Chieftain declared, raising his arms as a few of his people threw in some discolored logs into the flame, causing them to turn green, then blue and white with audible crackles before turning to its regular hue. "The chilopoda is slain, we are free to hunt! Free to trade, to roam, land is ours again! Tonight celebrate, enjoy freedom! Tomorrow Dark Ones fall as well and world becomes ours once more!" A chorus of clattering and scraping sounded off the celebration and then they began to dig in, signaling it was more than time for the others to do so as well. For his part the Chieftain took a seat on a seat fashioned from an old stump, having been brought a platter of food to enjoy. Grabbing a large slice of a fruit he raised it in a toast to the travelers and, if he could smile he would have, nodding before digging in.
