Hello to all,
I joined a while back, maybe two to three years ago but due to work and university I was unable to post as much as I'd like in roleplays so I never really got anything going. With that in mind, plus the fact I've forgotten my old username completely, I've decided to return and register with a new name. New name hopefully means more motivation to join some roleplays and more posting in general. I hope I can keep up, at any rate.
I'm 22 years old, in my real life I'm engaged to a wonderful woman. I'm interested in learning to code things and make games but that's just a hobby and dream. I actually work as a security guard for a major supermarket and I'm loving every minute of that particular job. I'm a gym addict as well as I've started trying to bulk up to help my security job and I'm also planning on returning to university next year to finish a psychology degree. I'm also very into playing videogames and watching movies and I have a strange ability to recognise familiar faces whenever I go to the movies in actors.
Roleplay wise, I like action and adventure. I'm still not really into the whole fantasy swords-and-shields-type deal, but I'm getting more into it. I was introduced to the fantasy genre by my future-brother-in-law who showed me Skyrim and Lord of the Rings and I'm starting to get pretty hooked based on those experiences, Skyrim being one of my favourite games of all time.
I'm a user with mental health issues. I suffered from depression last year and without going into detail I went into therapy, drove the illness away, attended a wedding and eventually beat it back enough to get my current security guard job. I'm very open about my mental illness anywhere I go because there is still a stigma attached to having mental illness, although it's been improving vastly as of late, and I believe being very open and conversing about it with others is a good way to start to change people's opinions. I'm very proud of my experience with mental illness as I've come from strength to strength and I can honestly tell people right now that I'm in a fantastic place.
That's about all that's important about me anyway. One last thing. I love Nicholas Cage as an actor. At best he's a pretty decent actor and at worst he's hilariously crazy, so either way, good movie or bad movie, you get a lot of enjoyment out of him!
