@Gowi

Quite simple really. With the King dead and no royal heir, this has just become a game of every man for himself! Lancelot is just making a play to take out as much of the competition as possible before the civil war starts... Which in all honesty wasn't a bad move on the part of the dishonorable, crazed zealot.

Now, friend, let's be fair. The treacherous bastard could be acting out of a desire to keep bloodshed to a minimum in the inevitable civil war.

Indeed... Of course, that isn't going to stop us from quartering the son of a bitch when we catch up to him.

Sorry to be both late and a dropout, but life has changed for me again in the last couple of days and my free time is going to be even more strained than it previously was. As a result I'm dropping out of almost all of my RPs, sadly including this one.

I hope you all have fun and that the RP continues with its current impressive quality and quantity of posts.

Another loss to the fire. Just more proof that anyone can die in this.

You will be avenged!

The garishly cartoonish idea that Lancelot is decidedly corrupt beyond his foolish traits of loving Guinevere kind of makes me unnerved. I know it’s a different interpretation and things are open for just that reason but like… Arthur not that long ago left for Persia to scour for the holy grail— for him to die out there so quickly doesn’t sit well with me. I know this is fantastical medieval fiction but I don’t know if this is the plot that I built Ignatius up for; there were no hints that the game was going to go in this direction and I understand throwing surprise curveballs but I feel kind of detached when I was really excited. I don’t know, maybe I’m being melodramatic but I’m confused in the sense that I don’t know what to do.

@Gowi
I don't think it's just that he's fantastically corrupt. With Arthur dead, and no heir (unless Mordred rears his head), the realm was bound to break apart, unmaking everything g that Arthur, Lancelot, and the rest of the Knights of the Round Table fought for. So, the murder plot was conceived to kill off everyone who would have played a role in the eventual civil war, ensuring the realm's stability, at least in theory.

It is vile betrayal, but done to pursue a greater good.

Or Lancelot playing to his actual character could’ve united the knights he trusted the most that were left to prevent a civil war and thus strengthening his ranks. – I guess that’s my problem I don’t really vibe with the plot as it seems right now and I’m feeling rather disheartened at the moment. I don’t mean to make this a “thing”, but unless something changes in my heart or mind I’ll probably be dropping out as well.

My apologies to the GM and everyone involved.

@Gowi There is so much yet to be discovered by our characters. They know only the truth Lancelot gave to them, same with the players that write for them. I'm not going to say any more about what I have intended. But just know that we've only begun, and things are not always what they seem.

If you want to leave, that's up to you.

inb4 Morgana has taken the form of Lancelot and I'm just an idiot.

But even then, I still feel pretty uncertain here and I need to think this is something I can pursue with Ignatius as I have built him. I'll give it a few days of thought.

Morgana would have made a better speech. It's probably a Mimic, or a Zubat.

Personally, I think this course of events presents a unique opportunity to direct a character who has suffered a sudden and unexpected betrayal. I look forward to it. Of course, while I can't think of any ways this would conflict with your design of Ignatius, I would respect your decision either way.
