True. But the ones from loyalist legions shouldn't outnumber the ones from traitor legions, or they'd probably just execute everyone to make sure. That just seems like pragmatic math to me.

Well, I don't mind if someone has experience with Terminator armor, but would honestly prefer all troops to be wearing power armor to make it easier for them to play as a squad.

The Space Wolf's jump pack is going to have to run out of fuel, essentially.

No problem. I think we can keep our options open, but I think it's also a situation where the characters are not the best-equipped because they are in a situation of strained supply lines. Actually, they might well be working with exotic weaponry out of sheer expedience.

TBH I hadn't looked up what Blackshields were before this, I've read up to and including Fulgrim in HH, so I was expecting to have to limit a Thousand Sons sorcerer-marine character, but this gives a little more lee-way. But then again he'd also likely have to restrain himself anyway without his Primarch to protect him from potential warp-mutations.

TBH I hadn't looked up what Blackshields were before this, I've read up to and including Fulgrim in HH, so I was expecting to have to limit a Thousand Sons sorcerer-marine character, but this gives a little more lee-way. Basically, the Imperium is in shambles and crisis, and no one's asking too many questions. Of course, after the Heresy, there's lots of time for questions...and an entire branch of the Imperial government devoted to asking them. Zappity zap zap! *electricity sound*

I honestly considered an Iron Warrior. I always liked the back story. I feel like a Marine from that legion is likely to know how to rig up explosives and use them expertly. Probably the right one to handle heavy weapons too, when they come across them. I think if we stick to bolters for now, we're good.

I considered a World Eater, Night Lord and Blood Angel...but methinks I'll stick with what I have. :)

@HeySeuss I also liked the idea that my character was very nearly on the wrong side of this fight. e was in one of the warrior Lodges, born on Olympia, and nearly helped murder the survivors on Istvaan... had they landed succesfully he probably would have. Instead a crash landing leading to his isolation and seeing what they were doing without orders stopped all that. It'll be interesting if any of the other marines figure out he was in one of the lodges.

I'm sorta sad there's no Imperial fist, but I suppose we could still get another person

Awesome. Half the fun is the backstory. Also, the emergence of Chaos on the playing field. Lots of adverse character interactions too-- there's plenty of blame to lay around.
