Okay, the first idea would involve 02-esque entrance and egress of the Digital World, and likely the formation of the Royal Knights for the first time. (Don't worry, any compatible Mega can be a knight.) There will also be something akin to Biomerging, although there will be a stand-in Mega and a true Mega which the Digimon get when they find some sort of associated weapon. The team would be aided by an organization within the Digital World.

Alternately, I've wanted to try something where the Digital World is a galaxy, and the chosen Digimon are somewhat related to constellations, either of the Real World or Digital World. So Digimon in Spaaaaaace!

Next, a bit of a legacy idea from old-guild (Forgot the original user or I'd credit, though I did try something similar) would be something like a Super Sentai thing, where Digimon can't maintain themselves well in the real world (without causing problems), and thus their partners manifest weapons (and themed armor) based on their forms/techniques.

And, two ideas based on the tactical reclaim of territories within the Digital World from dark forces, either through a standard team, or a team with the ability to Digivolve one Digimon in multiple ways.
If those don't work, I'm open so suggestions, and can probably come up with something else.

Speaking of which, themed Digital Worlds could be fun, like a fantasy world run by Digimon. Or, we could mess with some things and try a film noir esque detective thingy involving a mysterious Digital Incident.

All of the ideas sound pretty interesting. Digimon: CyberSpace would be a cool title for the outer space one, and the story could revolve around the Olympos XII since they're based around the planets, sun and moon. Maybe the Olympos XII are like the rulers of the DigiVerse (this story's "version" of the Digital World), and there is some kind of conflict between them. Certain members of the Olympos XII could be reborn as the partners for the DigiDestined (PCs), seeking revenge against the evil members of the Olympos XII that betrayed them. The concept of "DigiDestined" definitely fits with the theme, because throughout history destiny was thought to be "written in the stars." Another option would be for Plutomon to serve as the main villain, fighting against the Olympos XII as a whole. Titamon could be an ally of Plutomon, since he was born out of hatred for the Olympos XII. Or some combintion of all of these ideas. Or one of the other ideas which are good too.

Well, there's only the name tie with the Olympus Twelve because the 'planets' were named after the Roman names of the Greek gods. I had a bit of a plan for the plot there, but I didn't have a squared antagonist just yet. That's a good name suggestion though, thanks @ZeusTheMoose. And I'd still call it the Digital World. Afterall, World initially was what everything was called when it was thought that the stars were a sheet of fixed objects.

@tobiax The pantheon myths, and religion/faith in general, comes out of ancient man's observation of stellar and planetary movements. So it's more than just a name tie. The planets and contellations weren't just named for the gods and other figures, they were seen as almost literal representatons of them. Mythological stories were first written in the night's sky. There is a very strong connection between astronomy and spirituality that does not exist just in names alone.

But like I said, I'm also open to the other dieas, or something more grounded within the real world kind of like how Data Squad and Tamers started out.
