Xavier StormHawk is the Director of the Chicago Institute he got a letter from the Clave that there would new Shadowhunters arriving at the Institute and time now. How many? The letter did not say. All the Shadowhunters arriving are in the final chapter of their studies and would be finishing here along with there training. He prepared the Institute for their arrival and went back to training. The downworlders have not caused trouble lately for the current member of the Institute But no one knew along that would last and Xavier felt as if something dark was coming this way, but for now he just brushed it off.

Anna Sophia ShawdowWalker had just arrived at the Chicago Institute Which was where she was assigned to finish up her training and studies of Shadowhunter, she was also informed that she would be assigned simple missions while there mission that were to her level. Anna was not sure on what to expect about the Institute but she was excited about getting out of Idris finally. As Anna walked up to the made door of the Institute she used her Steel to unlock the door. To any Mundanes walking in it just looked like someone exploring an old condemned building a place that was falling apart to anyone with the sight the place was like a castle standing tall. As Anna entered closing the door behind her she smiled as she walked in placing her bag down as she noticed someone training and she stood at the entrance of the practice room and watch. Anna knew right away that this guy was the Director of this Institute and that his fighting skills where amazing.

Xavier had heard the Institute door open and close and knew that the first of many new Shadowhunters have arrived. he keep going with his training and when he felt eyes on him he slowly stopped and face the new comer.

Welcome to your new home Shadowhunter my name is Xavier StormHawk I am the director of the Institute and who are you? Xavier had asked.

My name is Anna Sophia ShadowWalker. Anna replied holding out her had for the director as the director took it to shake.

"ShadowWalker huh? I look forward to seeing if you live up to your family name or not during your tests. In the mean time I will show you your room and you will use your Steel to mark your name on your door" The director said and Anna thanked him as he pointed out a few more places along the way and when he finally stopped in front of a door. "This your room once a few more new ones show up we will start with the remainder of your training and studies." The director said as Anna watched as he turned away heading back to training and I got settled into my new home head for the library for something to read.

Karyl Jackson was a warlock that has lived in Chicago for many years she lived in a Penthouse suite of a large apartment building where she had sole access to the roof for her garden. The Downworlders and Shadowhunters have all called on her for help and though there are times she refuses to her magic to help most have time she does if it is for the good. Karyl Jackson had heard through the grape vine of the downworlders that the Institute is going to be getting many new Shadowhunters. Some downworlders where not happy because it was new people to watch and get to know their movement and fighting skills, but since the downworlder have been behaving although Karyl was not sure why she decided to cast a spell to see just how many new shadowhunters were arriving as once enter the building it would keep track. She was interested to see what new talent had arrived in their friendly city.

Freya Nightowl walked up to the door of the Chicago Institute. She stood there for a couple of minutes playing with her lip ring. This was the second institute that she has been in. She held the locket she wore around her neck with the pictures of her parents in it. Here we go mom and dad. She thought as she used her Steel on the door and walked in. She set her bag down and looked around. She wondered what her life was going to be like here. She walked up to what looked like the training area Hello, My name is Freya Nightowl She said to a male in the training area.

Amarantha Ninx looked over Chicago from her penthouse balcony. She had lived in many place but Chicago had to be her favorite. She had heard through the grape vine that new Shadowhunters were arriving in town. The downwolders that she had talk to in the past couple days were not happy about this news. She never really went above and beyond to offer her services to shadowhunters and downwolders a like. They still came to her though especially if they needed shadow work done. She stood on her balcony letting the air calm her.

Xavier paused his training once more as another new Shadowhunter had arrived. "Well its nice to meet Freya Nightowl and welcome to you New home while you finish your studies and training. My name his Xavier StormHawk and I am the Director of the Institute and the training instructor once the final lessons begin." Xavier said as he introduced himself and held out hand. "Grab your bag I will show you to the room you will be staying in. You are the second to arrive today she has the room to your left. Use your steel to mark the door as your room" Xavier replied.

Anna was on her way back from the Library with a couple of books one she had already started to read, not paying attention to her surrounding, she bumped into the Director and dropped her books. "Sorry..." Anna said as she trailed off see the Director and someone new. Sorry Director Xavier I was not watching where I was going.

"Just call me Xavier" Xavier said.

"Alright Xavier" Anna said turning toward the new girl. "My name is Anna Sophia ShadowWalker. Whats yours?" Anna asked her as she picked up her books from off the floor and held out her hand.

Freya smiled and shook his hand "Thank you I am excited to be here." She said as she picked up her bag and followed him. She was about to write her name on the door when someone bumped into them. She saw the exchange between the too. "Nice to meet you Anna Sophia. My name is Freya Nightowl. She took her hand and shook it. She looked at the books in her hand She must really like to read Freya thought to herself. She turned back to her door and pulled out her Steel beginning to write her name on the door.

The last place Roxy wanted to be when she finished her training was Chicago. She had been hoping to leave that place behind. But it looked like she wasn't going to be able to just yet. She stormed into the Shadow hunter's head quarters. She wasn't looking forward to dealing with politics but she was looking forward to going out and making a difference. She was looking forwaRd to finally being able to do something.

Paige quietly stepped into the Chicago Institute, glancing around. She would've been fine going somewhere much more warmer than the Northeastern United States but she would have to deal with it until her studies were complete.

@ViannaNight "Nice to meet you Freya. And just call me Anna." Anna said.

"Well I will leave you two to get to know each other I have some more to greet in the main room." Xavier said and left.

"Well did you want to talk here or in the common room just at the end of this hall?" Anna asked Freya.

Xavier made it to the main entrance to find more people have arrived. "Welcome to the Institute of Chicago. My name is Xavier and I am the Director of the institute. You are the third and fourth to arrive today and certainly not the last. May I get your names please."

Karyl had been watching her little spell on the institute and received information that there are now four new shadowhunters at that institute. "Hmmm this could be interesting soon, as I feel something evil is coming."

Freya smiled at Anna. "Okay Anna" She said opening her door and placing her bag just inside the door "Lets talk in the common room." She started walking towards the end of the hall. "So I see you like to read? Anything good?" She smiled as she walked.

Roxy wanted to roll her eyes. She was about as welcome here as mud. But she didnt. Just because most were the circle want to bes didn't mean everyone was. She had to give everyone a chance no matter how hard it was for her. This was her chance to be someone. SHe needed to play by the rules at least while she was on the bottom of the rankings. "Xavier my name is Roxy."

@ViannaNight "I love to read and right now I am sort of reading a mundane book about vampires, it funny sometimes on how think vampire are like." Anna said as headed off to the common room to continue talking there and get to know each other. "Do you like to read?"

"Roxy I know you have already finished your final lessons, so i was thinking you could help out with the other new shadowhunter and there lessons. If thats alright with you."

"I'm Paige." She said quietly, looking a Xavier and Roxy with her dark eyes.

Freya laughed "I know. If they only knew how vampire actually worked and acted like" She said smiling. She saw Anna as someone she could become friends with easily even with her trust issues. "I love to read. My favorite thing to do is grab a good book and go read under the stars. I definitely live up to my last name in that aspect. I am a complete nightowl." Once she reached the common room she found a comfy chair and sat down. See I told you mom and dad that you didn't have to worry about me. She thought as she played with her locket.

Roxy had no desire to help the students with their studies. That wouldn't help anyone nor would it prove her strength. But she didn't want to be too difficult. She was young. They could essily kick her out. Until she had proven herself she had to trend lightly. "Sure. I can help the others with theirsyudies."

"Nice to meet you Paige and welcome to the Chicago Institute your new home in just a minute I will show you ad Roxy to your rooms and introduce you to the first two arrivals up in the common room." Xavier said. Looking back at Roxy.

"Thank you Roxy. We dont start until tomorrow and you wont have to help out all the time since all your training is complete you will get a few more missions and some of the new members will be joining you at times as well." Xavier replied. "Alright now let me show you two your rooms" Xavier said as he led them to the rooms. "Here we are and please use your steel to place you name on the door to mark it as your room and the common room is straight at the end of the hall. You will find the two other new members that just arrived." Xavier said and he headed to his office.

"I know right. I would kill to see the mundanes faces to know that all the monsters that they thought were fake are actually real. Though I am glad we keep this part of the world hidden." Anna said and smiled. "I know I am the same way when it comes to reading though for me I am up really early in the morning reading. Thats a pretty locket where did you get it." I said as I noticed Freya playing with her locket.

Freya let a really laugh. "I am happy we do too" She smiled at Anna and looked down at her locket. "My parents gave it to me before they left on a hunt the day before my 15th birthday" She was tearing up a bit. She took it off and opened it handing it to Anna "Those are my parents. They were killed on that hunt". Inside that locket there was a women who looked just like Freya and a man with midnight hair and bright blue eyes. "My parents told me as long as I had that locket they would be with me. I can't help but think they knew they weren't going to survive that hunt. My siblings have matching ones to mine" She said with a sad smile.

"I am sorry about your Parents Freya, I bet they were amazing Parents." Anna Said as she gave her a quick hug. "My parents and family are Idris. I have two older brothers back in Idris visiting our parents so they could be there for my transfer before going back to the institute that live at." Anna said. "how many siblings do you have?" Anna replied changing the subject.

Freya was taken back a bit at Anna's hug and returned it. "It is okay. They are with me at all time" She smiled down at her locket. She looked at Anna "I have two. One brother he is older then me and a sister who I think is just a baby. She gets mad at me every time i say that is my baby sister" She chuckled "My brother's name is John and my little sister's is Mia. What about your brothers?"

Anna smiles. "Well bot of them are older them and they both are at the same institute up California. Ryan is the oldest and Trevor is the second oldest. They were pretty overprotective of their little sister as was my dad. I was nice at first until boys started to show an interest then it got annoying, but I love them." Anna said smiling missing her family a little bit. "So what is your favorite thing to do Freya?"

Freya giggled. Boys never were a problem for her. "I wish I had the problem of having my father and brother to scare of the boys. I use to scare all the boys and yet I am a huge flirt" She laughed. She was happy that she could laugh about it now. "I have two favorite things. Dancing and singing, they let me get my frustrations out. I feel when I am singing the world just slips away and I am a kid again singing with my mom. She had an amazing voice and she was an amazing ballroom dancer. What about you?" She said with a smile.

"That's awesome Freya, I would love to see you dance and sing sometime." Anna said. "Is this the fist time you have been to this city?"

Meanwhile back in Karyl's apartment, she knew something was going down in their city, but what she was not sure. Karyl knew by the little spell she put up that there are now 4 new shadowhunters in the institute now. Karyl believes it's time to host a party to find out if any other downworlders have heard or sensed things.



She made her list and sent out the invites via magic. With about 70 people invited there was a select few She invited by name and they were:
