Hello Folks! I'm here to try to get interest for a sci-fi, freestyle, space exploring RP. Based very vaguely on Star Trek, Ender's Game, and mostly my own thoughts, I hope it can provide a good story. Let me know if you're interested.
IC Voidhawk Advertisement:
"The Farseers Guild has finally revealed their great project! They are sending a state-of-the-art craft out into the depths of the universe to explore and discover. The Guild wishes to send a crew into the depths of space to discover new life, document new societies, and study new phenomena. The IC Voidhawk is the last of the independently produced starcraft capable of reaching FTL speeds, now that the Collective has assumed control of all interstellar production. Unfortunately, this government muzzle on interstellar travel means that the Guild is lacking in the crew department, so they need YOUR help. The Guild needs 5-8 people willing to leave all the know and love here in the Collective Systems. Preferably, all applicants should vary in their skills, and variation in background would be excellent also. No prior education is required, but don't expect to get picked for one of the Scientist slots if you don't have a diploma! The Guild looks forward to learning about our greater Universe. Essentially, the crew of the Voidhawk will be exploring the Universe, spending time on unknown worlds, gathering data, and learning about new life. But don't worry, this wont all be daffodils and rainbows, be prepared for danger and mystery. More info to come on the Voidhawk and its mission, depending on the interest.
I'll be assuming the role of the Captain, and will also have posts from the point of view of NPC's and the life/objects not controlled by players. As rather un-subtly noted, I'm looking for 5-8 players (though exceptions will be made if you're really excellent), preferably in some of the following slots:
Scientists (Engineer, Biologist, etc.) (2-3)
Protectors (Soldiers, Guards, Hired Muscle) (1-2)
Doctor (1)@RumikoOhara
Diplomat (1) @Algorhythm
Linguist/Xenoculturalist (1) @Tojin
