Hey there.

I may be interested in working something out with you, I'm about to start college myself, my second to last quarter actually. Woo! Ahem, with fandoms I do pretty much prefer to keep the canons where they are. I'm not big on OCs however, minor OCs who could develop into bigger roles, is something I could be talked into. My comfort (and enjoyment) is developing the already existing characters, plus when both writers know the dynamic, it's more easy/fun to plot together, than to try and help plot for purely made up characters.

I've been playing through Fates again myself (I've beaten all three paths twice by now) so I can understand its charm. An issue with the fandom is just the sheer size of characters to select. I mean almost anyone can form a bond with anyone so I'm sure you've put people together I haven't yet and vice versa. I'm sure youtube has all of their conversations but it's just overwhelming. In the best way though. My interest here is tentative but I wanted to at least ya know, I too enjoy a good fantasy with so many characters.

I'm not really into Naruto anymore so that might require a lot of convincing.

Have you dabbled much in Dragon Age? Some other (not quite fantasy driven) fandoms I may mention: Star Trek, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, Orphan Black, Harry Potter, and/or Sherlock Holmes (not BBC's version).

Hey Genkai! Thank you for showing interest. Perfectly fine with how you feel about canons versus OCs, I understand you completely. Depending on which fandom we pick I may want to discuss about it some, but I'm definitely alright with how you feel about it.

Oooh, just as a side note, thank you for mentioning Dragon Age! I honestly forgot about the series because I have it digitally on my computer; when I made my fandom list I looked around at all the physical series I have and the like. It's added now, thanks to you. Harry Potter is also another series I really like, but I feel like I'd need a really good idea for that considering how... I don't know how to describe it, but the series already feels sort of "complete," if you get what I mean by that. Also, as an aside, I do love Star Trek, but I'm not too big on pure science fiction as of late. That flavor is currently out of stock.

So, on to Fates since you dedicated some time to it; I'll do the same in return. Part of its charm is the fact there's such a ridiculous amount of characters; while that does present a unique problem with all of the permutations, but I think we can definitely work through it if you would like to write something for it. If this reply hasn't chased you off, feel free to continue to contact me however you'd like; I'm all ears!

Also, as another aside, when it comes to stuff like Naruto that you used to be into but aren't as much anymore, that's okay, I understand and I'm not going to try to coerce you into writing it. I just like putting out what I'm comfortable with writing in so people can get some ideas about me, and suggest other series that I might know, like you did with Dragon Age.

I think my brain read you liking fantasy and it already jumped to sci-fi. Maybe someday I'll convince you to lean into Star Trek. *laughs* And I understand what you mean about Harry Potter, there needs to be a proper mood in order to want to do it since I think we'd have to backtrack in order to do the things we want. Sometimes opening up that can of worms doesn't seem appealing. So nixing HP is alright with me, I just thought I'd throw it out there on a whim. :)

Now with Fates, I have no idea where I'd try to begin, you know? I have made an interest check I could try digging up to see what I was thinking way back when. Like when I'm playing it, I'll think "Oh these two would be great together and I'd love to see more of them doing stuff." but when I'm done, the thought is a bit fleeting. I'd probably fiddle with whatever playthrough I'm in the middle of tonight but I just have no direction that I could offer up as a place to brainstorm.

In regards to Dragon Age, I am about to beat an Origins playthrough (finally) though I am more close to beating Inquisition since I just could resist the graphics upgrade from my laptop to a new PS4. So I'd be open to doing something with Origins or Inquisition, in some cases I could be open to scrapping canons but with the ones in Inquisition, it might take convincing. Did you have any thoughts on the general plot you'd like to tackle (Like the Blight in DAO for example)?

Ha, maybe one day! I'm definitely not against the idea of sci-fi of course, I love it in fact, but I just have to be in the mood to write it.

Okay, so for Fates I have a bit of an idea. To begin with, since there are a lot of canons to use with it, we sort of have to divvy those out. The way I usually start doing that is asking my partner which characters they would love to play, and then which ones they would love to play against. I'll then present which ones I want to play versus the ones that I would love to play against, and if there's any sort of overlap there then there'd be some sort of discussion, but hopefully for the most part the ones you'd like to play are the ones I'd like to play against and vice versa, if that makes sense. After that if there are leftover characters we'd decide how'd to divvy them up if necessary, and go from there. Oh, that is a question I'd like to ask to be certain, are you fine with the plot idea I have, or are you wanting to do something else plot wise? I'm fine with either.

I don't have nearly as much to say about Dragon Age that I do Fates, sadly. The reason why is simple, since I haven't dedicated much time to thinking about it simply because I forgot about it. So, honestly, I'm super open to your ideas, and curious to what you have.

Here's a mobile bump. Busy today but I still hope to get some work done on this at some point, to attract some partners, and work with those I've already attracted.

Giving another bump for another really busy day! Just as a fun fact, the most popular series so far have been the Witcher and Assassin's Creed; that isn't not me complaining, but just expressing my surprise, especially regarding the Witcher. Those two series wouldn't have been my first guess for what most people are up for.
