A local vigilante was making the news headlines in what was called a 'Personal vendetta turned bloodbath...'. A hero with the ability to teleport through shadows called Shadow Walker took down local Atomic City superhuman criminal and mob boss Joey 'Iceberg' Black. However, several of Iceberg's men as well as his wife and two children were caught in the teleporting fury. Three of the men are still in critical condition at the local hospital, one of the children just died. What was once a prominent hero in the community finally let his rage get the best of him and now he's on the run from the authorities and anyone wearing a supersuit.

Alexander Mason had just got into town two days prior. He probably had three grand in the bank so he could afford a cheap motel for the time being on the outskirts of town. Upon hearing about the local hero turned fugitive, Alex knew he had to get involved. Doesn't matter if the guy was having a bad day, or lost control of his powers. Shadow Walker had to take responsibility for his actions.

9:30 pm...

In his Gemini gear, Alex was trying to get a lay of the land running parkour style across some of the medium and small buildings of midtown. He knew sooner or later this shadow guy would pop up. Not knowing how far gone the former hero was mentally, Gemini had to assume he was a threat to anyone around him and unstable at the least.

"Even if I don't find any traces of this Shadow Walker guy, at least I'm getting some good exercise... maybe I'll get lucky and see some action. Might catch some loser trying to jack a purse..." he thought leaping up a fire escape to a taller building's rooftop.

While Alexander would be making his way through the town, a young woman would be sitting close to the edge of a rooftop,  clad in her full costume existing out of black and deep purple and which included a pair of gloves reaching the lower half of her lower arms and a mask that covered the entire upper part of her face.

She sat there quietly as she looked up to the sky, although she was listening very carefully. At the slightest sound audible to her that would give that something was wrong, she would get up and find the source right away, but in the meantime, she didn't move, instead paying attention to one part of the town at a time. The worst part of it, but tonight, things were almost suspiciously peaceful.

Or at least it was, until someone disturbed said peace by jumping on the roof, startling the cautious girl and causing her to stand up quickly and see whoever it was that had decided to come here. The costume wasn't one that looked familiar to her, though. "What are you here for?" She asked, not feeling the need to be nice and introduce herself, instead getting yo the point right away.

"What are you here for?" a young woman on the rooftop asked the stunned hero.

"From one super person to another, don't we both know roof jumping is part of wearing the costumes?"Gemini asked waiting for a response.

"Please don't be some friend of this Shadow Walker guy..." Alex thought to himself walking slower towards his next point in jumping or falling to another building, "I don't wanna have to take down a handful of people just to bring in a kid who had a bad day." he continued thinking to himself finally coming to his next point.

She didn't answer in time. It only took a few seconds to get across the rooftop. She didn't look particularly evil, she wore a lot of black but so did Gemini. He smiled and leaped forward down to a slightly smaller rooftop where he landed with a roll. If the Shadow Walker was out there, Alex had to find out where. He had no idea how to fight a man who could teleport through shadows.

As he ran across another building he looked back to see if the girl gave chase.

"Wonder if she had any powers at all or is just one of the more vigilante powerless types?" he thought again.

Venom frowned as she watched the hero jumping onto the next room before she followed him, not at all pleased by the answer he had given her. She didn't recall seeing him before, so he was either new in town or was new to the whole superhuman thing. Either way, she didn't like not knowing who she was dealing with. She wanted clarity. If he was a possible threat to this place, she wanted to know. So without hesitation, she decided to chase him down.

"You failed to give me an useful answer but perhaps you misunderstood the question, so let me rephrase it for you. Why are you in Atomic city?" The heroine asked once she had caught up with the man in costume, the expressiom in her eyes giving away that she wasn't willing to play games. She didn't go put at night wearing her costume to put up with people who enjoyed foiling around rather than being useful, so it would be wise of him to give her an useful answer.

9:38 pm...

"You failed to give me an useful answer but perhaps you misunderstood the question, so let me rephrase it for you. Why are you in Atomic city?" the young masked woman asked catching up to Gemini.

Alex was surprised at her curiosity. He hadn't been in town long, but already seeing superhumans wasn't much of a shocker. The city itself, Atomic City, seemed like something stolen from a comic book. The girl was pale, her black and purple attire just made it all the more obvious in the lights of midtown's rooftops. Gemini could see fangs. 'Was this girl a vampire?' he thought to himself pausing enough to answer her question.

"I'm just passing through, but heard about a rogue superhuman responsible for the deaths of a couple innocent civilians. You don't know anything about this Shadow Walker guy do you? Other than being tall, dark, and leaping out of shadows?" he asked.

"There's not a lot known about him. A hero gone bad, uses the shadows to teleport himself through town and possibly uses this ability in combat to give him a bit of advantage over others. He put people in the hospital in a critical condition, he crossed the line and needs to be brought to justice. That is what matters." Venom said to the masked man. If he was here for Shadow Walker, she wanted to know if he was here to punish the man for his crimes, or to help him.

"Why do you wish to know about that man? He is of no good and if you side with him, I can assure that I will hunt you down and be the reason that you spend the rest of your life behind steel bars. Understood?" She warned the man, deciding that it was to make herself clear. She wasn't going to waste time bring nice to new villains.

"Listen lady, I'm a good guy trying to help take down a bad guy. For all I know your 'Monster High' vibe is to mask something more sinister. I know nothing about this city, it's heroes, villains... I'm a rookie as far as anybody knows. But I'm not some powerless vigilante..." Gemini explained putting his hand on his chest and glowing red.

An exact duplicate of Alexander in his Gemini gear was now standing next to him. The girl looked at least a little impressed. However, shadows around them began to move...

The Shadow Walker was moments away from springing on the heroes. He had completely lost his mind. There was no talking to him now. Anyone in a suit was seen as a threat. And now out of nowhere another showed up looking exactly like the guy with the red symbol. Walker leaped from a shadow and clotheslined the original Gemini and leaped back into another shadow on the rooftop.

"Do you always make me to make you look good big A?" the duplicate bantered preparing for the fight while the original picked himself up.

"It's Gemini in the suit." Alexander stated sternly.

"Your mask doesn't even cover anything important...." the duplicate stated.

"Do we HAVE to do this now?" the original asked, "Can we just kick this guy's ass?"

"Oh, how adorable. The newbie and his twin are having a little argument." Venom said sarcastically, rolling her eyes at the new supposed hero in town and his duplicate. If they intended to be bother her, then their mission could be considered accomplished. "Save it for later, will you? There are more important things than what to call you right now." She continued, before she quickly headed to the shadow where their opponent had appeared to have gone to. All she needed was just to come close enough to sink either her teeth or nails deep enough into his skin to inject her non fatal poison, that was all. Still, considering the fact that he had the ability to teleport with thr use of shadows, this could become a quite difficult thing to manage.

Fists began flying out of shadows all around them, as the enemy used them like black holes to attack from within his personal shadow dimension. Gemini couldn't react quick enough but knew the one thing that could potentially stop this guy's attack... taking out the nearby light on the roof. If they could take out the light source there would be no shadows for Shadow Walker to teleport from. At least that's what Alexander hoped.

"Take out the lights, Twilight Girl... or whatever your name is, it might make the shadows fade enough to stop his attack. We'll never win if he's got this much of an upper hand..." Alexander explained.

Now the whole villain came springing out of a shadow as the duplicate tried making his way closer to the light above the roof exit. He was a good four inches taller than Gemini, dwarfing all those in the fight with his size and seemingly increased physicals. After cracking Gemini's duplicate a couple times in the face he dazed the hero enough to pick him up and toss him at the other two.

"Get down!" Alexander said stepping in front of Venom and absorbing his duplicate rather than letting the force of a two hundred pound hero hit the heroes.

"Call me vampire, twilight girl or make fun of me in any kind of way one more time and I'll rip you throat out once we're done with this guy!" Venom scolded the new supposed hero. He was making a terrible first impression, calling her names and deciding that it was his place to tell her what to do, as if it was in his right to give her orders. It only appeared to be counter effective, as instead of listening, rhe heroine continued her previous plan and headed straight to the villain to come in close enough range to bite or scratch him.
