"Tell me where they are Master Kenobi! Your Daimyo is dead! The Jedaii Temples await your return! There is no reason for you to die for these fools!" Lord Vader stood a imposing form above Jedaii Master Kenobi, his black armor barely giving a glint in the warm sunlight. Smoke swam through the air behind him reaching to the sky as his white armored Imperial Samurai continued to slaughter the remaining Samurai of Daimyo Bel Iblis. The now dead Samurai Lord's head was stabbed atop a spear near the front of the village to show what happened to Rebels who crossed the Empire.
Kenobi laid there, his katana still clutched tightly in hand a bright blue glow emanating from it, he could feel the blood running down his side under his robes, his armor had been completely ineffective against the Dark Lord's glowing red blade. "You have already slain me Vader. My body dies, as all do. I will return though, and my spirit will guide the Jedaii to glory, your Emperor's Dark rule will not last Brother. You are my kin, so I will forgive you this transgression even as I pass from this world." Kenobi dropped his katana, the blue glow leaving slowly, only a regular steel blade left behind.
"I do not need your forgiveness Kenobi, I will take these lands, the Emperor will rule all of Meiji! The Rebellious Daimyos will be crushed! And we will have the Stars of Yagyu!" Turning slightly Vader lifted his Katana, then in a flash of red glowing steel Kenobi's throat opened spilling a crimson river onto the ground, the Jedaii Master's eyes losing their color, as well as his skin as he fades from the world. It was then that several of the Imperial Samurai came running around the corner dragging with them a woman in rather fine silk kimono, her long black hair tied tightly in buns, and her face painted white with only the slightest of red to accent her lips and make them look small and pouty.
"Ah Leia-Hime..." He turned to look at one of his Samurai who handed Lord Vader a torn piece of paper. "A map... But it's incomplete the other half is missing." Staring over the torn shred of scroll he sighed. "Only three of the Stars of Yagyu are listed here." He growls. "Tell me where the rest are Leia! Or I will do to your family as I have done to Iblis!" As Leia-Hime shook her head, eyes wide as she screamed, Lord Vader's shadow engulfed her in darkness, his hand extended.
Some OOC things
As you may have noticed this is a RP based off of Star Wars, but in a Feudal Japan like setting. I will be taking many liberties with the story, but I plan for it to be a very exciting adventure for all involved, with quite a few cameos of Canon Star Wars characters who have been altered to fit into a Feudal Japan Fantasy setting. That being said canon star wars races will be allowed! They will simply be known as Oni (A blanket term for any being not human). Canon Star Wars characters will not be allowable by the players, but don't fret PCs will be the focus of the RP, and they will be the Heros (If the players so choose to follow that path!) Have any questions? I'll answer them, either by PM or just ask in the thread!
Now to get on with Pertinent Roleplaying information.
The Setting: This is a Star Warsesque setting, but one of a more Feudal Japan tone. Space travel, blasters, etc are out, and Katanas, Bows, Matchlocks, and Horses are in. Canon Star Wars characters will appear, though their backstories, relationships etc can and likely will change to better fit the setting and story I have in mind.
Real Quick! The Rules Gotta get those out of the way before we can get intot he Interesting Things! 1. No flaming Attacking, harassing, or hate outside of the IC. I don't care what you do IC 2. No playing Canon characters. THey will be in the RP, but purely NPCs.. Or as main villains : ) 3. Can't play Empire characters, you can be former empire now turned Rebel, but playing Empire would derail the RP Plot. 4. Have fun that's an order 5. Like.. High tech stuff.. Most you can have is a matchlock gun.
Meiji is the Island that the entirety of the RP will be taking place on, it's similar in size to Japan, and has the same kind of geography and climate as well. It had been split into many different provinces controlled by different Feudal Warlords who all followed the rulings set forth by the Shogun. As the Empire quickly turned things around the Emperor deciding to do away with the Warlords, and all those who could influence the people and completely control the land, the fractures between Warlords has disappeared as they ally together to fight the Empire itself. The Land is beset by violence which has never been seen before, once you would go into the small villages, and castle towns and children would play in the streets, now they hide from any strangers who step into their Villages. War Has come Total War, and Meiji will see many more tragedies before it is once more a land free from the Dark and Tyrannical Emperor.
The Empire was once a small power, more of a Figurehead role than one that actually took any major part in politics, that was until Palpatine's plans came into Fruition. For years he had been training a secret army, having recruited Fallen Jedaii into his fold to train his troops. His army grew, and he took one of the most powerful Jedaii and turned him to his side, using his dark magics to corrupt and pervert the one powerful Spirtual Warrior. The once powerful Jedaii was now known as Lord Vader, constantly harassed by his brother Obi Wan Kenobi. With the now constantly growing army of Imperial Samurai the Emperor, and Vader quickly took over Province after Province, the constantly feuding Warlords of the land standing no chance as they were so fractured.
The Mandaii are one of the most powerful Factions in Meiji, they rule over a enormous chunk of the Island, and are considered the greatest warriors to have walked the lands, though to even match the Jedaii in strength, and capable of fielding even more warriors. They have been kept in check by tributes from other Warlords around them who wished keep the piece between the Mandaii and themselves as they feared the Mandaii crushing and annihilating them. With the sudden aggressive actions taken by the Empire, the Mandaii have been gathering their armies, the many tribal Warlords of the Mandaii gathering together into what is called the Great host in order to defend themselves from growing threat of Vader, and the Empire. The Mandaii are also known for their smithing, able to create some of the sharpest, and strongest swords, and armor in Meiji, the Jedaii even seek out these smiths to create their Katanas that they enhance using Star Crystals.
Once Splintered by constant feuding there were many Great Daimyos that ruled the different provinces of Meiji, unfortunately only two great Daimyos remain, having created an Alliance of the lesser Lords. The Rebellion is lead by two Daimyos Lady Mon Mothma, and Lord Bail Organa, they seeing their power alone was not enough to stop the Empire have allied with the Mandaii, and further fearing that the Mandaii would not be enough beseeched the aid of the Jedaii to help them in their time of need. At first the Jedaii were reluctant, but as they found out that Obi Wan had been so brtually executed by Lord Vader, quickly reinforced the Rebels.
Secluded, with a small section of land completely dedicated to the Order the Jedaii are religious warriors of great reknown, for their magical abilities, and their powerfully enchanted swords. They embody Virtuous notions, and inner peace. They consider themselves Guardians of the people, and they are often looked up to by all others of Meiji. They are pillars of strength, and users of a powerful magic known as the Force, this magic can only be used by certain people, and the reasons behind this is unknown. They are lead by a powerful Jedaii knowns as Yoda, he is their teacher, and supreme Master of the order, even though he is a Oni he is considered one of the greatest. The Jedaii at first were not going to meddle in the affairs of Empire, and the Mandaii Rebel Alliance, but soon found that the Emperor was using Dark Jedaii to do his bidding, and searching for the Powerful Stars of Yagyu. This prompted Yoda to hear out Bail Organa and commit the Jedaii to aiding the Alliance against the Emperor, and Lord Vader.
The Dark Jedaii are those who have given up the path of enlightment, and chosen to indulge themselves in primal urges, using their powers to do wicked deeds that are only for self gain rather than serving the needs of others. They have twisted their powers, and also learned the arts of ninjutsu to further their abilities, this form of assassination, and subterfuge more than complimented their demeanor, and the Emperor began to rapidly recruit these warriors, and utilize them against the Rebels, and Mandaii. Now he looks towards the Jedaii knowing that they will intend to thwart his plots, and the Dark Jedaii will be useful in trying to stop the Jedaii. They also utilize the Star Crystals in their weapons, and are capable of matching a Mandaii, or Jedaii in combat. Sometimes more so.
Star Crystals are powerful gems in tune with the force, and as such only Jedaii, Dark Jedaii, and some Oni are capable of using them. They enhance any weapon they are placed into, making it unbreakable, capable of cutting through steel, and have even been seen cutting bullets from matchlock firearms in half, as well as cutting arrows from midair. These crystals also cause the weapons they are embedded in to glow in different color depending on the User's mentality. Dark Jedaii Typically have Red, or black blades, while Jedaii will most likely have Blue, Yellow, Green, and Violet blades. Black: Pyschopaths filled with blood lust, a love for violence. These people are typically unpredictable and see their black sword typically fills their opponents with fear. Red: Greedy, power hungry, and egotistical, wielders of red blades are typically plotters always with a ill intention behind their moves. Blue: Represents those who have a desire to protect others, they are often martial in nature, and will do anything to uphold Justice, and defend those who cannot defend themselves. Yellow: One of the least seen colors, Yellow represents those who have a love for helping others, they are generally healers of the flesh, though sometimes they are healers of the mind, and take precious consideration of the fragile nature that the mind sometimes has. Green: Sages, tacticians, philosophers, these Jedaii are ones of deep thought, and grand ideas. They are not as rare as yellow blade wielders, but they are less seen than Blue blade wielders. Violet: Jedaii who are always on the verge of falling, they control their urges to do combat with great resolve. This makes them powerful additions to combat, as they ferociousness almost matches that of a Dark Jedaii. Though they should also be watched closely less they fall themselves.
The Stars of Yagyu are Star Crystals of magnificent power. Placing them within a wepaon would likely kill any user that wielded it, but it is said that the Stars of Yagyu are capable of bringing the dead back to life, granting immortality, or even giving life to things that would otherwise not have it. How they work is a mystery.
The Force, is a powerful ability that exists within all Jedai, and Dark Jedaii, and is said to be what has created the Oni as well, though this is largely unknown. Jedaii, and Dark Jedaii are capable of doing many things with the force, though whether it is good or not relies largely on the user, and actions with such. No power of the force is inherently evil, a Jedaii can create lightning using hte force for pure reasons, and a Dark Jedaii can use what would typically be healing magic to hurt others. Either way the force exists, and those who can call upon it are powerful opponents.

I shall not see injustice. The Ronin are to be apprehended and the owner. The two shall be judged by their tongue or prepare themselves for a test of the blade. Once the offender has been identified-- order shall be restored and the perpetrator shall right their wrongs or face the Mandaii's Steel.

The Jedaii's Order does not concern me-- but Yoda's favour is of great importance. She must understand that the protection of the Mandaii Clan is far greater than the arrangement we've made for ourselves. There shall be no hope for any normal life if the Dark Lord isn't stopped. They must understand that.

Since activity seems to be a tad slow I might consider joining this to give you guys some momentum. One question though, what is the stance on playing a character that is not really affiliated to any of the factions mentioned? A freelancer like Han Solo.

I do. I force pull his weapon away from his person and unsheath it as I rush over to wolf around behind him to angle his blade to his throat. "This is not the civilian way, my friend. Enemies are everywhere. What say you come to my table and tell me your tale. I could pour you some sake." I would say. I then would snip his throat a bit and continue "But dead men tell no tales."
The Ronin would then beg for forgiveness and I would keep his sword, but cut off a finger. If not I would take it outside and duel him in the street- never returning his sword.

Whatever's closest and advise my fellow warriors to be careful. I will join them in combat if I make it that far. First I will help the wounded, all lives still matter. I may be able to take lives but that doesn't mean I have to every time I should.
