Greetings my fellow role players. I come here bearing gifts in the form of concepts and ideas.

Firstly, let us discuss the GENRE. I'll categorize it under fantasy, but an equal amount of inspiration from manga will be noted throughout the story. I'll try and avoid blatantly copying for my love of original concepts is relatively massive.

Now, for the PLOT. The main setting of the story will be an incredibly massive tower. Each level will be a community most likely different from the one before and after it. So it'll be quite varied and there's a reason for this, which I'll explain later on.

Regarding your ROLE, everyone will be playing a normal human being who has been invited to climb up the tower, you'll have your own reasons on why you would accept such an offer. However, it doesn't end there. Those who reach the top, will be granted anything their heart's desire. Wealth, fame, power, love, or whatever it is you long for.

How I plan to make this INTERESTING and UNIQUE? Well, remember when I said that each floor would practically be a different world? The purpose of this is to make the tasks you have to accomplish, to ascend the tower, different from one another. To name a few, some tasks may involve defeating some beasts, saving a kindgom, others playing the role of a villain, you might be asked to participate in a tournament against others who are climbing up the tower, or even hunt for some strange artifact.

As far as ABILITIES go, you'll develop your own powers as you climb up the tower. And don't worry, you won't start empty hand and completely helpless. The first arc will be focused on your characters gaining their powers and/or equipment. It'll be relatively fast so that we can immediately proceed with the meat of the story as soon as possible.

Consider my interest piqued. I marathoned all of ToG about a month back so I am in big time. Best comic I've read in a while.

Are you set on operating solely with the comic as inspiration or would you be willing to stick it in the world? Because I fell in love with the atmosphere it built and would love to explore it with some others.

Interested in this. Not familiar with Tower of God, though. Is the premise in the OP enough, or will there be enough tied to it that I should look into it?

@The One I'm sorry, but I'll be only allowing humans. However, to those who want to choose another race, I'll give their characters options throughout the RP to alter their appearance; this would have corresponding abilities as well. An example is someone who'd want a Lizardman, can have their character grow scales at one point in the RP that reduces damage from blunt attacks.

@Goblinesque Are you asking if I'll actually use the TOG World/Setting in the RP? I probably won't, sorry. I'll definitely take a lot of elements from it though.

@Goblinesque Actually, I changed my mind. I'll probably use the same setting for the tower and system; basically the structural aspects of the tower. I'll just rename some things to make myself feel creative.
