Lila:

Happy to be moving once more, Lila relaxed again. She didn't know why but she just had to get away from that trail, any other time she would've been more than happy to follow it but that... There was just no way, not with how it made her feel. "Well, he did have good teachers," She said, smiling back and looking up as they reached home.

Pups:

Kita was just dozing off when Anum let out an excited yip, seeing the Beta female. Did that mean food?! Anum ran up but skid to a stop when she saw Desaius with her, remembering that the old wolf could be grumpy and mean, if there was ever a time when Anum truly behaved herself, it was around him. Kita sat up and nudged Aleu, slowly wagging her tail.

"Aleu, Lila is back," She said, announcing the obvious.

Once names were officially exchanged and relationships were stated clearly, Calypso felt the need to sleep her food off return. She let out a yawn and chuffed softly, laying back down on the ground.

"Can I go to sleep now? I'm tired," She asked her new 'parents'.

Opal

She ran quickly and with determination, following the direction of the voice of Tikaani, who had returned the howl. After a certain point, she recognized the scent of their trail, and she quickened her pace when she realized she was getting close already.

To her relief, as she approached a mountainside and cliff, she spotted the other wolves nearby. After stopping to catch her breath and relax a bit, and taking the moment to garner up some speaking courage, she called out to them.

"I-I'm here!" She stammered, approaching no one in particular and remaining at a slight distance, unsure of where she would be needed. She noted quickly that they were already mid-hunt and hoped she wasn't too late. Perhaps she could still be of some use.

Chincf and Tikaani

Opal howled back in answer, and as Tikaani took off at a brisk run down the slope in pursuit of Kai, and on looking up she discovered that her brother and Carek were loping towards the fleeing animal as well. They had enough wolves now, they had a chance of running it down so they could bring the pack home a decent meal. Tikaani leaps from rock to rock as fast as she can, but she has to watch her footing to avoid tumbling down like Shadow had. She increased her speed as she hit the solid ground again, catching up to Kai in a matter of moments as they raced to join Shadow who had managed to get a grip on the goat.

Chincf turns abruptly as he gains on Shadow and the goat, using his tail as a rudder for balance to make the sharp change of direction, he falls into pace with the black she-wolf just as the prey lashes out and knocks her off a stride. The beta male smirks, knowing Shadow wouldn't be thrown off so easily. He heard her snarl and the huntress kicked herself into overdrive, lunging for the prey animal again. Chincf lets a low growl slip from between his teeth as he launches forward to join Shadow, clamping his teeth down on the goat's hindquarters. He manages to keep a grip for a few moments, hopping along on his hind legs as it tries to keep running regardless, before the goat shakes him off again.

Saaba

The tigress sighed heavily, shaking her head as she looks at Calypso. "It's not safe out here, Calypso. I know you're tired but..." she turned to face Avir again, tail twitching in agitation. "We need to get out of the open. Find somewhere we can use as a den, where they can sleep safely. Can you carry the bigger cub? I'll take Calypso."

Carek continued to pursue the goat, reluctantly letting Shadow get the first bite. When the goat got free, he saw his opportunity, Seeing that the goat's left-rear leg was injured from the previous engagement with Shadow, he leapt forward and clamped his jaws down on it, biting as hard as he could. A satisfying crack was heard before long as the animal bleated in agony. Growling, Carek moved in for the kill, tearing the throat out with his bloodstained fangs.

As soon as the deed was done, his ears perked up, almost like a dog who had caught a ball. He turned to Chincf and Shadow, quite pleased with himself and very happy.

"Well, how was that?"

Avir nodded. "I know of a cave not too far from here. Living around these parts for a long time has its advantages." He said before walking over to Ezy and then gently picking the young cub up. He then gestured for Saaba to follow. Once she was ready, he set off. It wouldn't be too long until they would arrive near a cave, just as he had said. There was a faint scent trail coming from inside of it but whatever was in there was gone for quite some time now.

He padded inside and then placed Ezy on the ground. "Stayed here for quite a while back." He shared before walking around the cave. It only had one exit, the one they came in from. It would be bad if they got trapped but none of the wolves would dare step out of their territory.

The pain had subsided for now, but it will surely come back. Zoru knew this so he stayed put and waited for the hunting party. However, he did see Desaius appear with Lila. "Well now, where have you been?" Zoru asked as he padded over to Desaius, one of the few wolf elders. He sat down beside the younger wolf. He never really minded the grumpy old wolf's personality. Zoru was one of the wolves who actually thought that Desaius would be a good Alpha. Well, considering that Zoru was a bloodthirsty wolf before who thrived in the battlefield, it was obvious why he would vote for Desaius. But he didn't become Alpha and Zoru got an injury. Once he mellowed down, he got why Desaius never became Alpha. It was because of his attitude.

"Out for the tigers?"

Scarlett was walking around the camp as some of the hunters were coming back from a hunt, she lowered her head as she passed by and headed over to the area in which the cubs were playing. Scarlett picked a spot not too far from them and laid down her head on her paws. She wondered if someday she would have cubs of her own.



Clare was playing close to the other kids swatting around a pebble with her tiny paws. She was having fun, but with the nanny wolf watching, she was not going to be able to sneak away to explore the camp on her own. It was not the first time she tried to sneak off but she was always spotted before she got far before she was brought back.

Rosette and her two cubs were trailing through and field headed for a cave that was not too far from where they were when they got closer to the cave she caught the scent over other tiger, adults, and cubs. She continued to approach her two cubs following just beside her, but she was cautious on her approach she did not want to seem a threat as she and her cub's Kayla and Jackie followed. She needed to get them out of the open and the cave was the best option as the cave came into view she could see the other tigers standing just outside as the male went in to check inside she continued to move closer but slower to show she was not a threat as her cubs were also visible to the other tigers.

"Mama are we going inside that cave to sleep?" Kayla asked.

"I hope so but it is going to be up to the family of tigers already there as they are there first."

"Alright mama cause me and Jackie are getting tired," Kayla said back with a big yawn.

"I know baby, I know." Rosette replied looking at the other tigers knowing they could smell her and her cubs by now.

"Good job, everyone!" Chincf barked softly in congratulations as Carek brought the goat down. Tikaani and Kai caught up to the rest of the hunting party, the she-wolf wagging her tail.
"This'll feed everyone, for once!"
The beta male nodded his head, turning to face Carek as he answered the other hunter's question. "No, I think we should drag it back to the den. There's too many pups right now, getting them to come all the way out here would be dangerous." muscles rippling beneath his pelt, Chincf shifts to shove his shoulder underneath one side of the goat. "Carek, you and Kai help me get it back, the girls can go ahead of us and let everyone know." he instructed.

Saaba

Saaba scooped up Calypso and fell into step beside Avir, carrying the smaller cub to the cave and ducking inside. It was warm and dry, and there were no fresh scents of any other predators or animals. Faintly, she could smell Avir's scent that had gone stale from where he had stayed there before. She found a bit of soft ground and gently set Calypso down there. "There, you're safe now. You can rest." she purred soothingly at the two cubs. "Thanks." she mumbled to Avir, hesitantly touching her nose to his shoulder in a show of gratitude. She wasn't used to being in the company of other tigers, not since leaving her family, but they could make this work. Despite not having her own cubs yet, it seemed Saaba's maternal instincts were kicking in around these cubs, all she had to do was follow them.

Her head snapped up sharply, warning growl rumbling in her throat as she heard voices outside the cave and smelt the other tigers approaching. She began to snarl at them to warn them to keep away, breaking off abruptly as she realised it was another female who had cubs with her also. The tigress flattened her ears awkwardly, tail tip twitching.
"Sorry, I thought you were hunting for a moment." she apologised. "The cave's quite big, er...I guess you and your cubs could stay here with us for a while too."

She hesitated a bit nervously. She expected some rebuking, but it looked like Shadow didn't mind. She supposed the hunt did go alright without her help (which also troubled her), but that hardly excused her for being late to everything.

"I-I'm sorry," She said to Shadow, keeping her head a bit low and eyes cast downward. "I woke up too late. I missed everything. M-Maybe I could go hunt for extra..?"

The more she thought about it, the better an idea it seemed to her. They could use all the food they could get, and she could make up for being a lazy dog. She doubted it would happen, but she still had a small nagging worry that perhaps she wouldn't even be given the privilege to eat today. She was a hunter after all, and she didn't help at all in this hunt. While the others might not have minded, she knew she had still failed the pack in some way.

Regardless of punishment or not, her own thoughts told her that she should make up for what she failed to help the pack with. She definitely should hunt extra. She nodded subtly to herself, having silently come to a decision before Shadow had even given her reply.

The tiger did everything in his power to not jump back at the contact. Hm, well that was a first. Even he didn't know the he didn't like being touched. Perhaps it was because of the long time he hasn't been together with others. "You're welcome." He wanted say that he wasn't doing this for her, but for the cubs. But in the end, it does seem like he's helping all of them right? By this point, he shouldn't even care anymore. He looked over to the cubs who were at the side. How long does it take for them to mature again? Shouldn't be too long right? The sooner they learn how to fend for themselves, the sooner he can finally be alone again.

Saaba's growl made him turn towards the entrance, the voices of other tigers reaching his ears. However, unlike Saaba, he approached the entrance cautiously. Seeing that it was another family, without a tiger, he took a step sideward. It was around this time that Saaba finally noticed that it was another family and then offered them to stay in the cave for the meantime. Seems both him and Saaba really did have a soft spot for the kits, abandoned or not. "Yeah, you're welcome to stay inside. It'd be bad to sleep outside in this weather." It was still cold out, despite the winter being over. Spots of snow are still seen. It's not healthy to sleep outside. "Name's Avir, by the way."

Rosette picked up her youngest cub as the oldest followed up to the cave where the other tigers are as she put the youngest down "Thank you, I was hoping I did not have to sleep in the open tonight, So I thank you. I am Rosette and these are my cubs Kayla(White tiger), and Jackie (Bengal Tiger)" Rosette responded as she and her cubs move further into the cave before she sat on his hind legs and her cubs laid beside one another.

"Let's drag it back, then" Carek replied, clamping his jaws down on the goat's hind right leg. He began to move it, hoping that Cai would help him. Chincf was right about the cubs. The presence of the tigers nearby made it too dangerous to let them come out here.

Avir

Avir watched as the tigress entered with the two kits. Then he realized that the other didn't share the color scheme... or anything really besides being a tiger with the other kit or the mother. Just like Ezy and Calypso, who shared nothing similar with him and Saaba. But the two did look alike. "Adopted too huh? Can't leave kits alone in this forest." Or anywhere really. He then sat down near the slumbering kits. "Where's your mate?" It would be kind of obvious that she had none but he couldn't help but ask. It was insensitive but Avir really couldn't help it.

Wait, what?! Desaius was watching them?! A-And Zoru?! Anum looked to the two giant and grumpy wolves before running to Kita's usual spot between Aleu's front legs. Kita gave her sister and sighed, normally she was the one to run off with her tail between her legs so it was a little funny to see Anum acting like this, even if the thought of the two elders watching over them was a little scary.

"See you later Aleu!" Kita called as Aleu left, going over to pounce on her frozen sister now that her shield was gone.

She giggled at little Anum, though she really couldn't blame her if she were as small as her, she would've been terrified of the two wolves as well. "Don't worry, I'll watch you three as well," She said, padding over to them and looking around for the youngest pup. "Clare, why don't you come play?"

Once Saaba had picked her up, Calypso yawned and had dozed off while being carried. She woke up with a soft mew when she was set down and went over to cuddle with Ezy before falling back asleep.

Having returned to the spot what felt like ages ago, Axel had found a nice sun warmed rock to stretch out on while he waited for the shewolf, pondering if maybe he should go looking for her instead. He huffed and rolled onto his back to watch the odd cloud that crawled its way across the sky.

"So bored!" He whined out and rolled back onto his stomach, eyes drifting to the shallows of the lake. Maybe he could catch a fish or two?

Rosette looks at Avir "Yes Kayla is adopted, I found her alone waited a few days in case she was lost, knowing if her parents were out there looking they would find her but when no one showed up I adopted her." Rosette said looking down at her cubs. "I don't have a mate Avir." Rosette replied before turning to Saaba "It's nice to meet you Saaba." She looked toward the other cubs as they slept before looking down at Kayla and Jackie as they had fallen asleep. "If we had not found the cave it's what would have happened sadly it would not have been the first time, we have been traveling for awhile now."

Clare at being called to come play with them, abandoned the rock and bounded over the group of other cubs playing and joined into the fun as she smiled. "Ok" was all she said before joining and starting to have a fun time.

"Well, I don't blame her for being scared. Knowing you, you'd probably try to fight if they disagreed." Zoru pointed out. It was a fact and he wasn't teasing him. Zoru was pretty blunt when it came to discussions when he grew older. When Desaius suggested that Aleu rest and he and Zoru would look after the pups, it actually surprised the elder. The guy wasn't usually that nice but he guessed it was a good day. He watched as Anum ran off to Aleu's side, practically shaking in fear. When Aleu left, Zoru let out a soft, "Take care.", before looking back at the pups. Seeing the frightened look of Anum, he couldn't help but chuckle. "Do we really look that intimidating?" The questions wasn't really targeted at anyone. It was quite amusing though. It had been some time since someone actually feared him. Being an elder, he was respected, but not feared.

"I see. Much like us then." Avir said, looking at the cubs who were now sleeping. "They aren't ours, obviously, and we're not even mates. Haven't even met each other before." He continued with a shake of his head. So they were all in the same circumstances. He looked out of the cave. The sun had already peaked but this was no time to just sit idly by. The cubs, he could understand, but not them. But considering that the two might've been travelling for a while, one alone and the other with two cubs, they need their rest. He, on the other hand, had done nothing but make his usual patrol in the forest. "You can stay here for as long as you want Rosette. It's not like we have to keep this cave to ourselves." He looked distant as he said this though, looking off to the outside and not to the two. He liked company as much as the next tiger, but too long doesn't suit him. He's been a rogue for such a long time. Being around tigers for more than a day is different.

Chincf

Despite his best protests, Chincf couldn't convince Tikaani that the three males could manage the haul back to the den without her help. Thankfully, with four of them distributing the weight evenly between them they were back at the den in next to no time. Trotting into the center of the clearing, his tail held high, Chincf called out to get the attention of the rest of the pack. "We're back, and we actually caught something big enough for all of us this time!" it was a great source of relief for him to announce the achievement, the pack had been picking at bones for far too long and they could all use a very good meal.

Tikaani

Tikaani let her muscles relax after the group dropped the kill in the center of the pack's clearing, lifting her head proudly as Chincf made the announcement to the rest of the pack. Even if she hadn't played a large part in the end kill, she was still happy that the pack had food to eat. "Look at the size of it!" she crowed while they waited for the other wolves to come over and investigate. "We haven't eaten this good in a whole season!"

Saaba

Saaba glanced towards Avir, noticing that the tiger seemed tense and a little bit flighty. Her gaze drifted down to Calypso and Ezy, who were sleeping peacefully, before looking back at Avir. "You uh...you could go see if you can hunt again, maybe?" she suggested, trying to be helpful. It wasn't any good for him to feel trapped as if they both had to stay here all day watching the cubs sleep. "I'll watch the little ones."
