This RP is full! But anyone who is not a member can post in the OOC as well if they'd like to. Sorry!

Maple 801 – 101.
Long story short, it’s a particular building in a particular district that is both typical and abnormal. On one hand, it’s exactly like any other district. There are houses, along with a few apartments here and there. The only difference is that everything seems batsh*t insane if you take a closer look.
Perhaps there were reasons aside from “I had nothing to do” for those who moved into the district. Especially Maple 801 – 101, which happened to have a landowner who has no enthusiasm for anything remotely exciting due to succumbing to multiple insanities she had seen with her own eyes. This building in particular was different not from the structure, but from what contained it.
The people, that is.

Welcome to “The Maple Neighborhood!” So what is this RP about?
*There is a parking lot next to the building for characters who drive!
(The genre of this roleplay is Comedy, Slice-of-Life, and Episodic.)
It’s an RP about a small apartment, that’s what. Slice-of-life perfectly describes this roleplay, although it does have an eventual end if you ever get that far with dedication. As a roleplayer in this roleplay, you don’t have a goal aside from describing what your character does on uneventful days and, once in a while, perhaps participating in a major “episode.” This requires a surprising amount of consistent dedication, so think twice before you join.
“Episodes” are special events that will be catalogued, and can alter the friendships NPCs have with the Player Characters. From the relatively responsible landowner to the intensely psychotic-looking detective, any interaction will be reacted to differently. NPCs aren’t the only focus of the story- Player Characters live in the same building, after all, so it’s only fair that they talk to each other as well. Episodes can range from a cooking themed episode to a sports themed episode. Sometimes, episodes may cause timeskips. Talk with the GM a lot on this if you don’t want something to be interrupted.
You technically don’t need to participate in the Episodes and have your characters do their own thing, as they can be run alone even by the NPCs themselves, but hey, you can make a moment in the roleplay’s history.
Despite being fairly on the realistic side, keep in mind that as a roleplay centering around comedy, things can be described in bizarre ways. Bear with the fact that this roleplay oftentimes borrows fantasy elements in a parody-like sense. A lot of comical things happen in the RP, but characters can add in their own dose of humor, friendship moments, and even stuff like romance if they choose to focus on that at one point. The general atmosphere of the RP won't change for the most part, though!
I recommend bringing other roleplayers you know of well before you join to get you a natural headstart in the roleplay. This can also ensure that you have something to do with others, though this isn’t necessarily needed.
Posting in Maple Neighborhood
If your character is participating in an Episode, post as you normally would! If they are not participating in an Episode but you still would like to show what they are doing, post with the following at the top of the post:
(P)
(You do not need to make it colored like that! Just putting it without any special formatting is fine.)
This makes it easier for me to track down Out-of-Episode posts!
Rules
1. Do your best to make your character interesting in a way that can highlight other characters’ personalities as well.
2. Be sensible for the most part. There aren’t too many competitions here that barely matter, so this won’t be hard.
3. Talk with others and be friendly. This can get us to come up with more interesting episodes together!
4. This roleplay is fairly slow-paced in its own right, so don’t try to pressure others into posting quickly too much. Have something else to do while you wait for a post!
5. If you plan on joining, please, please, please triple check your own thoughts on this RP before joining! Leaving in-between the RP can make things troublesome, even if it's slow compared to other RPs.
Episodes
This is an episodic slice-of-life. Episodes may be long or short. They can be made by both the GM and the players themselves after having it approved on the OOC. Episodes will be listed once the RP crosses the first episode with a synopsis describing each one accordingly.
Episodes can differ in themes, such as involving cooking, sports, and maybe even an alien visit (this is a huge maybe, you all). There may be breaks between episodes where anyone can do whatever they want for a moment before the GM announces another episode.
If you want to, you can use Etherpads for the forementioned "break moments" with others for collaboration posts.
Episodes usually start with a post saying a new episode started, and also end with a post saying the episode ended. Everyone posts in-between those posts, so it'll look like a structural sandwich by the time an episode ends. (Intro -> Content Posts -> End)
If someone or some people contribute to the making of an Episode idea, then it will be posted in the "Upcoming Episodes" area with Courtesy to (usernames here) to credit them properly! If everyone discusses about a single Episode idea and makes it official, then it will have Courtesy to everyone! instead. Let's work together, guys!
If you have anything to ask about, let me know!
