Berlin, Germany: Bueraue of Spiritual Phenomenom Headquarters. Commander Ghana Demont's Office

"Are the preparations for the experiment complete, Hellena?" Leaning back in his seat commander Ghana Demont, the current head of The Bueraue looked upon his colonel. Commander Demont was once a soldier apart of Jamaica's military back during the Great Hollow War thirty years ago and was regarded as one of its great heroes for turning the tide of the war. It wasn't for his strategeic prowess or cool mind; he didn't have those when he was a reckless youth. It was for his absurdly monstrous power that he was able to kill off countless hoards of hollows and for his dedication for the well being of the people that he had protected. It was only when Christoph Heinz resigned as head of The Bueraue ten years ago due to his deteriating health that Demont took up the role.

Hellena nodded and firmly said, "Yes sir, the candidates should be in their chambers before we proceed with the experiment. Remember sir, there is a high chance that many of these people will die if not all of them. If you wish to stop this experiment for their sake I understand." Hellena was apart of the trio of colonels within the organization. In terms of physical and official power, they were the most powerful members of The Buereau next to their commander. However, each colonel had obtained their positions due to different reasons. In Hellena's case, it was her sheer brilliance and technological advancements along with her strength that elevated her to the rank of colonel.

"This is of their own free will. You have done all that you could do for the best possible results, but when that experiment begins it's out of our hands." He didn't even bat an eye at the thought of his own people dying. This was all for the betterment of humanity and if they died then they died serving for a great cause, that was he wanted to think. What filled his head were worries of what could go wrong for the experiment and what could happen to the candidates, but this was an opportunity that they couldn't miss. "By the way, where is Xiao? He was meant to arrive here with you."

Hellena chuckled and shrugged nonchalantly, knowing that her fellow colonel obviously was playing hookie again. He always was a free spirited young man with wanderlust so he probably was adventuring through Berlin since he arrived from the Chinese branch only yesterday. "You know how he is, sir. That boy can't stay in one place. He's probably off buying some over priced souveniers or with some local tour group. I've heard that there are some very nice groups that go around trying local cuisine."

Demont sighed and rubbed his temples. "I really should've expected him to pull something like this. Oh well, he knows what his job is. Having him come meet me was just a formality anyway." A beeping went off on his desk and the commander pressed a little red button on his desk. "What is it Helga?"

"Sir, I'm sorry. I tried to stop-" Before his aide could finish her sentence, the doube doors to his office were blown off thir hinges from a blast of reishi torrenting through the room, flickering as if were flames.

"What the fuck are you playing at, commander?!" A white haired man with a heavy german accent stormed the room with fury in his eyes. "Did you think that I wouldn't find out about Project Seraphim? How long have you hid this from me?! Why?!" He slammed his hands down on the commander's desk and glared daggers into the man.

"Perhaps it's because he knew you would throw a tantrum like this. You Quincies do have a history with Shinigami, don't you Wilhelm?" Hellena said tauntingly, knowingly pushing him further. She smirked coyly, sauntering over to him with electricity crackling around her robotic prosthetic limbs.

"Are you picking a fight with me you cyborg slag?" Cubes formed from reishi appeared around him, murderous intent radiated from his constructs.

"Enough." A pressure suddenly filled the room, greater than the combined forces of Wilhelm and Hellena. The fighting spirit of both colonels was swallowed by this vast power that radiated from their commander. His gaze was stern, lecturing them silently for their unprofessional behavior. "Wilhelm, this is for the future of mankind. I didn't tell you because I know how strong you feel about your heritage and you aren't the only one. I had carefully made sure that no Quincy would be aware of Seraphim until we received results. Was I wrong to deceive you? Yes, but I do not need a civil war on my hands, which is why I'm going to need you quell any quincies that react violently."

"But sir I-"

"That's an order, Colonel Liebert. And Colonel Amadeus, go begin the test. You are both dismissed."

"Yes sir, commander. Come along Leibert." She turned away to walk out, followed by a unsatisfied Wilhelm.

Deep beneath Germany's capital, the two colonels made their way through many check points for identification. No matter of the rank, no one can get through without proper identification lest someone sneak in and steal classified info. Of course such measures were necessary due to a rise of terrorism in the last thirty years as some saw this as a chance to obtain power, including those with spiritual powers. Even though Hollows were a threat to society and were the initial threat when The Bueraue was created, those who used their spiritual powers to raise terror and violence had become another primary focus.

"I can't believe that damn commander was able to fool me and every other quincy in this organization. Tch, the body should've been disposed from the start." Wilhelm said, never looking even in her direction.

"And what then, Wilhelm? What good is there to come from that narrow view of yours? Too many Quincies hold onto the grudges of their ancestors and Commander Heinz himself knew that it would be a problem. He was the one that told Commander Demont to keep it from-" Her eyes widen and moved her head out of the way at the last second, avoiding a palm slamming against the metal walls with enough strength to leave a hand print in it.

"Don't you dare mention that stain on my kind in front of me, Hellena." He removed his hand from the wall, his eyes filled with a quiet rage. His eyes scanned down to his gut and saw one of Hellena's blades pressed against his gut with just enough pressure to be felt, but not pierce his flesh.

Hellena sheathed her blade, her eyes met his with coldly. "Control your temper Wilhelm. Next time, I'll bury my blade in your gut. Now follow me brat. You should at least meet the ones risking their lives for Seraphim." For the rest of the encounter, nothing else was said between them.

Soon the colonels had passed through two metal sliding doors after scanning their eyes and entered the labratory where Seraphim was going to take place. The main lab was separated from mutliple chambers where the volunteers were being kept, just in case something went horribly wrong. In total there were thirty volunteers for the experiment, the ones that were considered to be most suitable to undergo this experiment. These were the ones who had the highest chance of survival due to a unique physical and spiritual aspect that made them possibly compatible with the shinigami DNA, something that Hellena made a note to follow up if they survive.

"Ah, Colonel Amadeus! We have awaited your arrival and-" One of Hellena's scientists approached her, but froze in place when he saw that Wilhelm was with her. "M-ma'am Colonel Liebert isn't-!"

"I know what's going. Now out with it!" Wilhlem barked, causing the scientist to cower in terror.

"I, um, ah...Um experiment is ready to begin at your mark. We've gone over the equipment and data over and over again to make sure that we could still do this. All that's left is you to give us the go."

"Thank you, I'll go let the volunteers know." Hellena approached a control center with many buttons and switches on it. She pressed one button and said into an intercom, ""Brave soldiers, today is the first step into defeating the hollow threat once and for all and bring balance back to the world. You will all be making history today, but I'll remind you all once more. You may die from this and I understand if you want to back out. No one will judge you if you want to leave. If you wish to no longer take part of this experiment, then I'll give you time to leave. If you wish to continue, then stay in your chamber."

There was silence at that moment, then broken by metal doors opening and people leaving with their heads low from shame. There were now less than ten people taking part in the experiment now. "For those who stayed, we will begin the experiment. Some assistants will enter your rooms to administer the the serum."

Sai sits on the edge of her bed inside the chamber. Her eyes closed with her head hanging down, she heard all the people leave. she couldn't tell how many but it sounded like a large sum. She looks at a small metal leaf attached to a necklace chain. " Itachi..I don't know if you exist in the Soul Society that you told me about..after what happened..If i don't make it today..hopefully I will see you.." She sighs clenching the necklace. She hears the final announcement and places the necklace under the pillow. Standing from the bed she cracks her neck and back. Moving to the front of her bed she kneels sitting on the heels of her feet placing a hand on each knee. " For the greater cause right..Maybe I'll be what you were Itachi...even slightly..its the closet i will come to knowing what it was like to be in your world...one way or another..as a spirit or some form of shinigami.. She lets out a small sigh closing her eyes and bowing her head down waiting for everything to begin or end.

In another chamber farther down, Naomi lays down on the bed after hearing the announcement knowing that there is pretty much nothing for her to lose. This is the only way she could possibly get back on her feet. There is so much about this world she didn't know, the bureau would turn her into a artificial Shinigami, whatever that was. All she really knew was she is listening to a talking wolf from a dream. She takes a deep breath and let's out a sigh.
"I'm going crazy.... I think." She speaks to herself aloud.
She looks across the plain room to see a machine.
"Doesn't look too comfortable." She analyzed in thought.

She closes her eyes and re-imagines the dream she had the night before. She sees snow falling and a wolf approaching her. The wolf spoke to her in a calm majestic voice.
"I don't have much time to answer all your questions, but I can tell you where to start. When you wake, watch the news and listen to the bureau recruiter and do what he says." Naomi opened her eyes and sat up shaking her head. She stares at the door waiting for everything to begin.

The plain room, empty; quiet but for the faint breathing coming from Terrence as his spectacle eyes of deep brown scanned the small room with the walls painted a simple white. Devoid of furniture except the table resting in front of him where an empty chair waited, which gave the confused young adult the feeling he was about to be interrogated. He kept running it through his mind why..why did he actually follow this stranger? For all he knew, the guy could be a dangerous criminal or agent of some organization aiming to use him as a guinea pig for whatever sick experiment.

It was what the man offered and his gaze lowered to his right hand wrapped in a cast and fingers covered in bandages that were luckily no longer crooked, though still struggled to close the hand into a fist. An attempt to do so caused pain to shoot through his arm, making him wince and dejectedly left his hand there and lifted his eyes to the door, where he waited anxiously for someone..anyone to come in to break this unnerving silence with only the faint tick of a clock a brief relief.

His prayers answered with the click of the turning doorknob to where the mystery man from before entered. Everything about this guy screamed suspicious with his typical black suit; grey tie draped along his chest and his face hardly anything special, other than the whiskered beard covering his chin. The black shades covering his eyes made it impossible to discern his thoughts while shaggy black hair draped over his forehead, his face seemingly expressionless as his lips were so thin they looked like a single line. That left hand of his raised to shift the glasses somewhat, while resting between his right arm was a folder.

A clearing of the throat."I apologize for the wait. I'm sure you are confused and filled with many questions.'His voice had a rather heavy accent; one that Terrence had been struggling to work out as his guesses were either irish or german?"I understand that you wish to know why I have brought you here."A brief nod, making is way to the table with a faint scuffing of his feet followed by the low creak of a chair being pulled back.

Only the two of them at this table and one left clueless as he watched the guy cautiously.'And you just drop me off here then leave me for half an hour?! Just what the hell is this place? or why even bring me here? You're...you're not going to knock me out and cut me up to sell my organs?!'He exclaimed in anger while slamming his right hand against the table, clearly trying to hide the hint of fear in his words.

The outburst of his simply caused the man to let out an amused chuckle while placing the folder on the table."Your time alone has given you quite the imagination." Another chuckle escaped his thin lip, which received a dark glare from Terrence.

Clearing his throat once more."First, I will introduce myself as Mr. Grey and secondly, a shame about the state of your hand..truly unfortunate."His eyebrows and lips lowered into a small frown as Terry scoffed at his attempt of pity, something of which he had no need of.'Enough of pleasantries then.'A soft shuffle of the folder resting in front of him opening.

First thing he saw were the hospital report regarding his hand."You've been brought here to be offered an opportunity to partake in a project. One that can very well change your life..a chance to be one of many saviors to save society from the horrendous threat of hollows."A shake of the head at the mention of hollows, though what he said didn't interest Terrence.

Oh he knew of hollows, having caught rare glimpses of them from time to time; something of which he quickly came to learn wasn't something common to the average people. Even though he knew, he didn't care..in fact he practically ignored it all..the hollows and spirits he could see. Acting like none of it happened for he wanted nothing to do with it, wanting to keep it out of his life and especially from interfering in his dream of being a pro baseball player...a dream that had been smashed the moment his right hand was mangled.

Terrence scoffed; leaning back against his chair with folded arms.'That's all very well and good, but I don't care about any of it. The only reason I even bothered to come is cause of what you said about restoring my hand...'His voice harsh and filled with bitterness; doubting this guy could do it when none of the doctors, even the specialist could do anything.

No reply came from Mr. Grey after hearing what Terrence said; just peering at him as if studying him before picking up the hospital report.'Yes, baseball is what you thrive for and I've heard you specialize as a pitcher."The slight shift of his head let Terrence know the man's eyes were on his right hand and pulled it back from the stranger's gaze."I will remind you that I told you of a chance to have it restored..do not mistake it for a sure thing."His tone calm and nearly emotionless.'....how?'Was all Terrence said; still no interest in the savior crap, but he could at least listen when it involved the possibility of getting his hand back.

Shuffling of the papers as the report placed aside for him to push and turn a small packet halfway across the table then folded his hands in front of him."Having read over your report and information regarding the full state of your body. I have determined you a possible candidate for the Shinigami project."He lifted a hand to prevent the young man's questions."Please let me finish. As you know, the hollow threat grows worse with each passing year, making it difficult for the organization to keep up with their growing numbers. After much talk and debating, the higher ups have found a way to turn humans into shinigami hybrids."His words clearly having an effect with the wide, shocked look on Terrence face.

Moving his right hand to rest on the packet."This procedure, as we've research can very well give us humans the capabilities and abilities of shinigami's, however, further research has shown us that only those with specific types of bodies have the capacity to go through with it."He studied Terrence closely, who sat up; confused yet intrigued by this.'And what does this have to do with me? Why would I bother going through with something like this?'What possible reason could he have to want to become this..hybrid whatever?

"Because it is this procedure that can very well heal your hand where even the best surgeons couldn't."And it was here that he fully had his attention as those eyes showed excitement, hope.'I must tell you two very crucial bits of information before you make your decision."His fingers softly tapped against the packet."First, that you are completely free to accept or decline. No one is forced to take part in this procedure. If at any time you do not wish to do this procedure then you may leave at any time."Pausing to make sure he understood before continuing to the most important part, which has made several candidates outright refuse the project.'This procedure has a very low success rate...by that it means a high chance of death."He stopped there; noticing the recognition of shock, a look he has seen on nearly every candidate's face at the reveal.

Finally..after finding out a way to get his hand back; within his reach, but what the man had said next had all but crushed his hopes.'S-so..you're telling me I could actually get my hand restored...then you go and ruin it by saying it'll more than likely kill me!?'Terrence had abruptly stood up while slamming his left fist on the table in a fit of rage, eyes wet with tears. His body shook with frustration; angry at the man for giving him a momentary semblance of hope only to dash it seconds later, but he was mostly mad at himself for actually believing he could get back his dream to go pro at baseball.

Standing there while leaning over the table, his head hanging to peer down at the cast wrapped right hand, where he felt another tinge of pain.'Everything about me..has always been average...my grades were decent, I never really excelled in anything. Nothing except baseball.'He gulped, fighting back the angry tears threatening to spill down his cheeks.'When I..I found out I could pitch and better than adults even...that day I was brimming with excitement and from that day all I could think about baseball. How happy and proud of myself I was that I..finally had something I was good at...no..THAT I WAS GREAT AT!'Punching the table with a grit of his teeth causing a crack to form in the wood.'And...and then cause of that my stupidity...my pride! Gone...everything I've thrived for....all those long days and nights spent training, working myself to exhaustion...all of it destroyed in an instant thanks to this worthless...mangled..hand.'His voice cracked at the end taking everything he had to keep the tears from spilling as he tried to close the broken fingers into a fist only to fail.

Unable to say another word, he simply slid down onto the chair, defeated with his head hanging low to hide the pain and sadness in his eyes.

Mr. Grey remained silent through the young man's outburst, the words of a man with a broken heart. He let out a faint sigh."I apologize. I did not mean to cause you pain nor to remind you of what you've lost. As I said the probability of survival of this procedure is low, the risk immense, but I know how strong you are...I believe you can..no..you will survive.'His once emotionless voice stern, yet serious.'And remember, you have no obligation to go through with it. You are free to do as you wish, though know that if you do decide to partake in the procedure, then I need you to sign this."His hand gently tapped the packet before reaching into his suit to procure a pen as Terrence simply kept his head down, showing no sign he was listening.

Pushing the packet towards him."This is not a contract so signing it will not force you to do the procedure. It is simply an assurance claim which ensures that in the case the candidate does not..survive, that your family will be well taken care of and..compensated for your sacrifice. If at any time you wish to back out after signing this then you may do so. Now, I will leave and all I ask is for you to take an hour to think about it. Whatever decision you make, understand that no harm will come to you nor your grandfather whatsoever."Waiting to see if Terrence would say something and after a few minutes of no reply, stood up with a nod of his head.'The door is unlock so you can leave at any time...think carefully for the choice you make here can change your life."Again no reply and so he quietly stepped out of the room.

With him gone, Terrence once again was alone to be left with his thoughts. His mind abuzz with countless thoughts and questions, leaving him unsure of what to do. After what felt like hours, he finally lifted his head to look at the packet in front of him.

At first he just stared at the papers, the words a blur; battling within his own mind of why he should and why he shouldn't as what he thought to be voices arguing about this whole situation. Soon his vision cleared and with nothing to do and so read it over as it contained everything the man had explained and some parts he wasn't told about.

When finished, Terrence sat back in the chair just staring at the paper, where the pen rested just above it. His mind telling him to leave and forget about this whole thing, but a part of him told...or more like begged him to do it..that the risk was worth it...worth it to get his life back.

The inner turmoil of what to do continued to rage within as his right hand shakily rose, struggling to grab the pen...

Gasping out in surprise, the beeping of the intercom snapping him out of his day dreaming; that meeting still so fresh in his head as he sat up. Sitting on the single bed placed against the back wall of the small room, the walls a plain light grey with only a toilet at the far wall, having been asked to wait here for the night as they prepare things.

A voice rang into the room from the intercom that had called him from his thoughts and listened to what this mystery person about giving them one last chance to leave.

Soon the sound of metallic ringing echoed through the hall as the doors slid open and wasn't long before he saw other candidates walking by, looking ashamed and scared. He gulped as he watched them walk by, his leg twitched for he nearly stood up himself to leave, if not for the sharp pain from his hand breaking the briefest lapse of fear.

just this once, Terrence would be thankful for the pain as he intended to use it to help make himself strong again. And so let out a slow, heavy exhale to calm his nerves then looked to the door...waiting for it to begin.

Kasuka's much needed nap was interrupted by the voice coming from an intercom. He paid little attention to the man's words, not having much of a choice except going through with the experiment. He let out a loud yawn, the voices and footsteps of people leaving preventing him from sleeping anymore. He got up and sat at the edge of his bed, waiting for someone to come administer whatever was supposed to make them into these hybrids. Kasuka was surprisingly calm compared to those with their heads lowered, gazing at the doorknob and waiting for it to turn. Either way, even if he died, Kasuka would be happy that his mother wouldn't have to work another day in her life along with getting rid of Kasuka which would be an even greater benefit, in his eyes.

"Hurry up with this god damn experiment already! I'll die from boredom before this even starts!" Abel shouted from his cell, waiting ever less patiently by the second for the experiment to begin. If he was going to die then he'd rather just have it over and done with than drawn out.

"What a vocal brat. Should I go in there and rough him up a bit?" Wilhelm asked with a deadpan expression on his face.

"Don't beat up our recruits you Wilhelm. We've got barely enough of them as it is for Seraphim." Hellena sighed exasperatedly and pressed the intercom button again. "Some of my assisstants are coming around to attach a device to initiate the injection. After that, it's all up to luck if you live." She lifted her finger up from the button and sat down on a swerving chair, praying that this experiment succeeds.

Soon, each participant in the experiment were greeted by one of the colonel's assisstants, each one holding a strange metal brace. "Don't worry, it just contains the serum. So extend your arm now, please." Each assisstant had said something similar to that to each participant. This metal brace was attached to their arm, a vile of purple liquid was attached to this brace. When the assisstants had left, they locked the cell doors.

"And it begins" She pressed a button that activated the braces on each participants arm, a red light glowed from a small bulb on the center followed by a beep. The pressure of a needle could be felt piercing their skin as the formula entered their bodies, followed by a sensation of pain that could not be accurately be described in words. Every fiber of their being, their souls and bodies felt like they were being torn apart from the seems. There was no pain in the world that could've matched the hellish sensation that they were being put through.

Abel was on his knees trying to tear the brace off, screaming in pain as he felt his DNA get forcibly altered. "God dammit just kill me already!"

Naomi fell to the floor curled up in a ball grasping her arm and grinding her teeth. The seething pain made her feel sick followed by nausea, so much all at once. Tears began streaming from her eyes no matter how hard she tried to hold them back. She tried to focus on her breathing hoping for a distraction but as she did so she realized every breath grew harder to take. She let out a whimper not having strength to scream while gazing at the vial slowly emptying into her body. She closed her eyes tightly listening to her heartbeat slow down second by second worried it'd stop. She opens her eyes to gaze at the empty vial not feeling like herself anymore, her body has become foreign. She lets out one last painful breath before falling unconscious.

It wasn't the imminent procedure that bothered him..no it was the waiting which seemed to go on forever. The stress caused by it was making his legs fidget; bounce against the floor nonstop that he had to put his hand on his knee to stop the fidgeting somewhat. Hearing the beep of the intercom helped pop the bubble of pressure threatening to strangle him; listening to the voice explained how the procedure would be taking place.

Terrence looked to the door, where the assistant entered while holding what looked to be a brace of some sort. When asked to offer an arm, he hesitated at first as he stared at the device, unsure of what to think. Yet, knowing that since he stayed went the last chance to back out and thought it best to take his glasses off to avoid having them break and placed it on the bed.

Steeling himself with one last slow exhale before standing up and held up his left arm to have the brace set against his arm and once done, the assistant had left the room.'Alright...whatever's coming....bring it.'Nodding his head; resolved to do this to the end and even if he didn't make it, then at least he would die knowing his grandfather would be well taken care of.

The silence broken once again by the beeping of the intercom as the voice spoke one last time to let them know the procedure was about to begin.

Soon the prick of a needle made him flinch, but what came next was by far the worst pain imaginable. Within seconds he was on his knees; arms holding him up from the floor as every fiber of his being convulsed from waves of pain. Each inhale only made the air burn in his throat and lungs feeling like being stabbed by thousands of sharp needles. His mouth opened; no sound came out as he was simply too overwhelmed with the endless pain causing his body to shake violently as if every cell in his body was on the very thread of breaking apart. The serum spread through his veins like poison burning so intensely, he could swear his organs were melting.

Writhing against the floor; each second of this unbearable hell felt like eternity as tears streaked his eyes. The times he tried to rebuild himself, were quickly shattered like the most brittle of glass as it spread to the very core of his being..to his very soul that threaten to shred his existence apart and all he desired at this moment was to cry...but nothing came out, leaving him completely and utterly alone to take and withstand this grueling, unending nightmare.

And yet, through it all; one small tinge of pain centering from his right hand could be felt through it all. In that instant, it all came rushing in; flooding his mind of that night...the night that had not only crushed his hand, but had taken the sole meaning of his life...the purpose that drove him to new heights. Even the searing pain wracking his body could not hope to match to that of his destroyed dreams and forcefully clenched both hands into tight fists, enough where the fingernails broke the skin.

Terrence slammed both fists against the floor with all his might through clenched teeth as the tears he had been holding out finally spilled...

Lifting his upper body up, head thrown up to let out a roaring scream.'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!....

Sai stayed in her position kneeled in front of her bed as the intercom went on. Her heart was beating quickly and her palms were sweating, trying her best to keep her body from shaking. She was nervous of the unknown. The door opened and gained her attention, she looked up at the assistant who approached holding some type wrist metal wear. Wasting no time she held her right arm out, she was shaking as she felt the brace click on and the cold meta against her skin. Placing her hand on her knee once again. “..give me strength Itac- " she was cut off feeling the needle piece her skin.

The liquid shot into her body causing her to gasp as her eyes shot open, her body hunched over hugging herself. Trying to scream but not a sound came from her throat. The pain throbbed throughout her whole body as if falling out a window and hitting the pavement at the bottom. Her body tight as her veins popped out with the blood and liquid rushing through. Falling on her side curling into a ball of pain, tears flowing out like a waterfall from the sheer pain. Her nails dug deep into her arms causing blood to flow. Panting and sweating as the pain slowly left her body, she slowly stood up, body and legs shaking.

Finally… ” leaning against the wall, drool dripping from her mouth. Her vision was extremely blurry. “ Cant se " being cut off as she pukes large amount of blood over the wall and floor. Stumbling back as pain shock waves her heart. Grabbing her chest screaming in pain as she pukes blood again before crumbling on the ground. Her body gone limp. Hitting the ground hard, her eyes stare at ceiling. Her eyes cold, her pupils relax as no breath or sound comes from her.

Kasuke casually sat on the edge of his bed, his chin resting on his palm as he waited for the assistant to come it. He took this whole thing lightly, not even sure if everything they said was even close to being remotely true or possible. But then again, he could see the dead so he couldn't say much. Finally the assistant entered the room, with a armband looking device. Feels like I'm at the doctors... A quick shiver went down his spine as the woman approached, wrapping it around his arm and turning to him with a smile "Don't worry, it's just a small prick and you'll feel some light pain" Before Kasuka could speak a word, the needle penetrated his skin and began to flood his vessels with the mysterious serum. His face turned to utter shock, grabbing his ribs with both arms as he dropped to his knees. Spit leaked from his body as he threw up saliva, unable to control his body or even scream. Kasuka collapsed onto his back, his breaths getting shorter as his test continued to feel tighter, as if someone was placing boulders on his chest. "God...dammit" Was all he could mutter, his breaths nonexistent as his heart stopped beating.

Just seconds after, Kasuka opened his eyes yet everything was in grayscale. He was unable to talk, unable to breath, unable but just observe the same room he was in except with his lifeless body on the ground just below him. With every fiber of strength he had left, Kasuka reached out his body but yet came up short, centimeters from his body as he floated further away. Kasuka had all but given up, accepting that he was going to die like this with his mother atleast taken care of. Suddenly, a strange voice whispered into his ear Don't leave her A pulsing sensation came from his body as he reached out one more time and grabbed onto a chain, pulling himself without hesitation. In a sudden burst, Kasuka's body jumped up and took a giant grasp for air "AHHHH WHAT THE FUCK WHAT THE FUCK" Kasuka scooted his back against the wall, frantically looking around until finally looking down at his own shaking hands. He began to slowly laugh, building it up into a full on laughter "I MADE ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs, overjoyed.

Loud, ear piercingly agonized screams had filled the lab and caused many who were performing their tasks from stopping in their tracks. Their blood froze still as they stood in place, looking at the screens that were being streamed from camera feeds in the cells. Each and every single one of the volunteers were going through pure hell, most on their knees from the sheer pain as they tried to resist the pain. One in particular volunteer was rolling around on his back, screaming gibberish as lumps began to bubble from his flesh. Quickly his body swelled into a mass of quivering flesh screaming its throes until it exploded, covering the room in a mass of blood, organs, and bones. This was followed by three more of the volunteers had faced the same fate of painting the walls with their insides.

Soon after the screaming had subsided, the doors slid open with the remaining few too exhausted to move probably. Doctors had swarmed the cells to go treat them, but their attention was turned to Sai. "Come on, not yet! Clear!" One of the doctors had pressed a defibulator against her chest and sent a jolts of electricity through her body.

"Hey hey get your hands off me! I'm fine!" Abel shouted as he was trying to shake off many of the doctors, who had now pinned him against the floor so they could give him a thorough examination.

Her body jolted each time the electricity went through her body. Two jolts and her body still lays lifeless. The doctors attempt one final time, as it courses through her body, her back arches and pupils focus in. She gasps for air when an arc of Black Reiatsu comes from her body. Only there for a second, It had no pressure only leaving a sense of fracture in the air. Her eyes frantically scanned the room seeing a room full of white coats, she pushes one of them away from her. " G-get away from me!! What happened?! " She kept struggling with the doctors.

After what seemed like forever, the intense waves of plain gradually ebbed away and ended with him vomiting up the entirety of his stomach's content mixed with a chunk of blood. The procedure had left his entire body completely exhausted; too weak to move and the tiniest bit of energy left in him was used to keep himself from faceplanting onto the puddle of vomit.

His skin was deathly pale and completely soaked in sweat; blood dripped from both his nose and ears and down the chin, which left a scarlet stain on the front of his shirt. The arms holding his upper body up were badly shaking; looking about to give out at any moment.

Terrence simply stayed like that....too exhausted to move or speak and the weak inhale/exhale being the only sound coming from him. Never in his life did he feel so utterly drained and wanted nothing more than to sleep for three days straight, the thought sounded like heaven to him. One that was cut short by the sudden sliding of the door, too tired to even lift his head, but the rustling of multiple of footsteps a good indication of people rushing in.

Before he knew it; hands had gripped him and felt himself being lifted and sat on the bed. What followed after, though turned out to be an very uncomfortable experience as the several doctors poked and prodded him all over, even flashing a blinding light in his eyes causing him to flinch. Soon to have his mouth forced open and a tongue depressor pushed in making him gag and all the while muttering incoherent words, but he was simply too tired and dazed to tell what.

Kasukas body laid there on the ground, limp with very little movement. He used what small strength he had left to scream just second earlier. He could hear the sound of feet moving down the halls until eventually his door slid open. He saw the men in white coats and didn't really have the energy to resist but instead slightly raised his arms "Take me to your leader"

Naomi opens her eyes weakly to see doctors in white lab coats entering the room though they seem blurry. Her stomach begins to hurt feeling queezy and ill. She curls grasping her stomach tightly grinding her teeth. Her body feels like it's exploding. The cold floor felt nice. As the doctors lean down to pick her up with her cold hands she didn't hesitate to attempt to help. As she tried to stand up, her legs gave out beneath her. The doctors quickly caught her with their cold hands. After given all her strength to try to stand, she does off from exhaustion.

The doctors had glanced at each other as Sai had been brought back to life with relief though there was uncertainty among them. It was up in the air whether or not if she was actually alright. She was literally brought back from the dead just now and even though she's alive now, she could die at any moment. "Ma'am, you died. We had to bring you back to life. We're going to be taking you and the rest of the participants to the infirmary where we'll do a thorough check up."

"Fuckers let me go! I can walk!" Abel was being wheeled down the hall right past Sai's open door, obviously strapped in because he wouldn't let the doctors do their job, who were obvously not very excited with treating him.

"Keep this up and we're going to sedate you kid." One of the doctors grumbled as he wheeled Abel off.

A doctor had brought in a wheel chair for Sai and helped her into it before she was wheeled out of the room to the infirmary.

With Kasuka laying on the floor with his arms up in the air, the doctors looked at each other deadpannedly and lifted him into a wheel chair. "You sure got a sense of humor for someone who nearly kicked the bucket." One of them said while they made their way down to the infirmary.

Naomi and Terrence too would be brought out of their rooms in wheel chairs, Terrence having an IV drip in his arm due from the blood loss during the experiment.

"Huh, so what now? What's the plan of action now Hellena? Did it work?" Wilhelm asked arms folded, his eyes fixated on the woman.

She smirked and turned her back to him as she began to walk away from him. "Of course it worked Wilhelm, but if you're not convinced then why not come with me and see for yourself?" The colonel chuckled playfully just to taunt the regretfully curious quincy.

"I-uh, god dammit." Grudgingly, he followed Hellena out of the labratory to the infirmary.

The surviving participants were all brought to the infirmary, all of them in the same room as they were being poked and prod behind curtains.

"Hey hey! Keep it above the waist!" Abel shouted from behind the curtain!

As soon as their physicals were done, their blood was drawn from them, and their mouths have been swabed, they were now resting in the infirmary beds probably feeling the most warn out than ever before. Except for Abel, laying there bored out of his mind, restless. "Ugh get me out of here already! I need to know if this worked!"

"You're a loud over eager kid aren't you? At ease, we're here to check up on you all." Hellena and Wilhelm both had arrived in the infirmary, the former seemed to be much more friendly than her protege who looked at them all intensely.

Naomi sat still during the check up. It wasnt until she heard a guy complaining on the otherside of the curtain that made her chuckle.
"It could be worse loudmouth. Could shove a giant needle where it doesn't belong." Naomi looked forward at the women who was speaking with a bad feeling about her knowing not a thing about this lady.
"Who are you supposed to be?" Naomi asked suspiciously.

Kasuka was now on a soft bed, in an almost perfect place to sleep if it wasn't for the loud one. He sighed heavily "Well ofcourse it worked dingus, we're alive after all" Kasuka said with his head under the sheets, drying to hide from the darkness. It was the sound of a opening door that made Kasuka poke his head out of the covers, rubbing his chin "Hmm, you're not the leader. You're not flashy enough and you're a little duncey" He said pointing to the man at the end.

He gave no resistant to the doctors that whisked him off to what seemed to be an infirmary, which meant more tests and prodding. At least when it was all over, this meant a soft and comfortable bed to lie down on and it felt like heaven to the exhausted and dazed young male. Terrence felt as if he was lying on a bed of cloud; burying his head happily into the pillow to get the sleep he so earnestly desired and a luxury that he unfortunately could not enjoy with all the loud talking going on. He grumbled in annoyance and hoisted the blanket over himself with the pillow wrapped tightly around his head, curling tightly into the ball until the only thing he heard was silence and happily drifted off to sleep.
