Sai stopped struggling hearing that she died. Being carried onto the stretcher, she had issues keeping her eyes open. Fading from consciousness to unconsciousness. The scenes and people kept changing, from being dressed to naked to dressed again. As they take her to the rest of the group her eyes barley open, suddenly from a far a black silhouette floating from the mid waist up appeared for only a moment. Its voice only reached her ears. " S-a-i...Sa-i....Sai...." All it said before disappearing, she fell asleep again only to wake up moments later from some one screaming. She slowly raised her head seeing two people walk in.

The nurses and doctors that were treating the hybrids stood in place, frozen as they heard Kasuka's sarcastically address the two colonels. Perhaps the boy was only just a recent recruit and had not had the chance to have even had actually heard of them before, but he should had at least knew that Colonel Amadeus was personally spear heading the experiment. "Do you live under a rock? Those two are among the three highest ranked members of the Bureau. The only one that's above them is the commander himself!" One of the doctors had lectured him vehemently.

"Now, now it's fine. They're only from the most recent batch of recruits so it's fair enough to understand that they don't know us. And kid, these arms aren't just for show." She chuckled as she pulled a swirving chair from a desk and sat down on it with the back rest against her chest. "I'm Colonel Amadeus, I typically work in the Austrian branch however you little investments dragged me all the way out here. And that greenhorn with the white hair and sour face is Colonel Liebert." She lifted her hand and motioned behind her.

"Who are you calling a greenhorn?" Wilhelm glared at her though was shushed by Helena.

"Oh be quiet you." She chuckled, looking upon her latest experiments.

Abel sat there awkwardly, not exactly sure what to make of the two figures. "So are you just checking up on your lab rats or do you just have something to say? If you have nothing else to say then let us get some damned sleep."

Sheesh, straight to the point aren't you? Helena rolled her eyes at Abel's brashness though for now she would just ignore his rude behavior. "You are the surviving volunteers of Project Seraphim and thus you all will be training to make use of your powers when you're given the clear. You will be training under Colonel Tian and he will be acting as leader of your squad. I hope you'll all get along because you're stuck with each other." She smirked at them, knowing that these random strangers were probably beginning to think that they've bitten off more than they could chew.

Wait, Xiao is training them? You mean that hyperactive monkey? What the hell can he offer them?

"Hey he's a good kid. Sure Xiao is a bit...energetic, but he's the best at what he does. Commander Demont personally requested this from him."

Naomi leaned back and crossed her arms across her stomach kicking her right leg up and resting it on her left knee.
"So Colonel, when are we going to begin this training you're talking about? And where exactly will we be staying? We aren't staying in those plain rooms are we? Naomi asked curiously. After being put into a life endangering situation she expected to at least have decent hospitality, however, it wouldn't surprise her if this Bureau treated everyone here as lab rats. That's all that they really are..... Right? Or maybe there is something larger going on here that we can't see yet. This put an unsettling feeling in her gut. Naomi began picturing different outcomes as if a slideshow were flying by quickly with several pictures many with good outcomes where these lab rats become heroes, and many where they become tools in a master villans attempt in the destruction of the world! Naomi slightly shook her head while gazing toward the floor.
'You watch too many movies.'
Focusing back on the Colonel, Naomi began to speak again.
"I don't mean to be a bother and all, just curious as to what you have in store for us." She spoke politely reassuring herself that everything will turn out fine.

Kasuka watched and listened with a blank face, the same thought lingering in the back of his head ....these guys are assholes He thought, not really enjoying the fact that they were constantly addressed as assets or experiments. But he mentally shrugged it off, laying back down and looking up on the roof. There wasn't anything else left to ask so he'd just let the two people answer the questions. Although one thing did pique his entrance, Seraphim. Just seeing the word was what got him in this whole fiasco. He was now hoping that it'd give him down answers.

Terrence bundled up under the warm blanket; hearing faint voices from without, though the blanket muffled the majority of what was being said. Besides, he was sleeping blissfully atop the soft bed and had no intention of letting him get the sleep his exhausted body desired and ignored whatever was being said since he could just find out what they would be going through later.

Sai head slowly went back down on the pillow, her eyes barley open. Soon she fell to sleep, all the voices were muffles to her. Her body was passed limits, the lights and voices did not hinder her sleep.

"And those are very good questions. You don't have to apologize for being curious." Helena spoke reassuringly to Naomi, who was obviously starting to have some second thoughts about the whole experience. "If you are concerned about your living arrangements then you do not need to be worried. You will all be moved to a Buraue compound where others who are stationed in Berlin live though because of your unique circumstance, you will be living together in a recently constructed home built for those who survived the experiment. Your home will have security built by yours truly so don't expect any intruders. How you all decide to decorate your rooms is all up to you though." She flashed them a wide grin and spun around in the swivil chair, thinking of what else to say.

"Oh yeah, your training. You guys won't be training until your bodies recover from the shock of the experiment and to keep track of how your bodies to the long term effects of the Shinigami DNA that modified your DNA. Until then, enjoy your rest while you can. There are very high expectations for you all. The colonel stood up and motioned him that they were going to leave. "We'll be seeing you guys later. Rest up." Soon they were out of the room, which was followed by a collective sigh from the nursing staff.

"So you aren't going to mention what we saw during the experimentation? The black reaitsu that came out of that woman?" Wilhelm asked as they walked down the corridors, the heavy silence was only broken by their voices and footsteps.

"And make them waste their energy worrying? It would be better to study that woman from afar and gather data. For now we'll keep it a secret until we know exactly what it was. Until then we have other matters to deal with." There was nothing else said for the remainder of that time, but the heavy silence around them reminded them that the hybrids were going to have a tremendous weight upon their shoulders for the rest of their lives.

After three months of laying in a hospital bed having their blood drawn, their spit swabbed, their unrine tested, and the stool sampled, the hybrids were now finally cleared to leave the infirmary. However as soon as they were out of bed, they were packed into black vans that had drove them away from the headquarters to the other side of the city. It was a pleasant October morning; the sun was shining, the wind was crisp, and not a single cloud floated in the sky. The streets were filled with people going about their business, plenty of them going to work while some children are being driven to school. Little did any of these ordinary folks know that the very first artificial shinigami hybrids were being driven right past them.

At some point they had reached a gated compound that had high walls enclosing the area. The gate soon lifted and they were being driven through an area that looked remarkably normal as if it was just a regular part of the city. There were even businesses settled in there, such as cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, and more. Then again there were families of those stationed in Berlin living here so they needed to make it comfortable for them as well.

Soon they pulled up to a building that was separate from all the other buildings. "We're here." Said the driver. The building itself was as normal as the others, just a bit bigger to accomodate the people living in it.

Sai was extremely silent during all that time. The testing and being indoors for three months didnt help. Surviving all that pain to only die affected her. Something felt broken in her, she didnt talk about it. She didnt want to make things any more complex then they were all ready. Now sitting in the car was weird for her. Seeing the outside thevall kinds of people. Even feeling the sun on her skin, she felt like a lab rat finally set free. She rolled the window down just a little bit lighting a cig. She didnt enjoy them but at the moment it was the closest thing she had to a blunt in awhile. Her eyes gazed at the gated community. As they arrived to the house atlast, she put the cig out taking a deep breath before stepping out of the vehicle.

The silence of the ride was killing Naomi. She tried distracting herself with the scenery that passed by. Everything seemed awkward, no one was willing to start conversation. Probably didn't help that all of them were in the same place for three months. Three months? It seemed longer. When the vehicle came to a stop Naomi jumped out the left side first stretching her limbs.
"Freedom!" She giggled. The sun rays felt great on her skin and she welcomed the slight breeze as if it were her first time feeling it. She walked around the vehicle and analyzed the building waiting for the others.

The past three months had been very uneventful; it was likely to give those who took the serum to properly rest and to let their bodies adjust to the changes. And now, after the months passed were they all grouped and placed into a van, where they would be taken to their new location or as each of them would come to consider it..home.

Terrence mostly kept to himself along the ride; never been known to be talkative and simply sat in the back row and staring out the window. From time to time he slowly flexed his right hand, which still caused him pain in doing so, but at least he could actually move his fingers. All in thanks to the greatly enhanced healing factor they've received from the serum and though he didn't know what exactly it did to them, having his hand heal was all that mattered to him.

Not long after did the van pull up to a stop near the building as he glanced through the window to study the place that all of them would be living from here on.

"Jeez aren't you two etheusiastic." Abel sarcastically said to Terrence and Sai, walking ahead of them with his arms stretching above his head. "As etheusiastic of the damned dead. You two should take after Bubbles over there." He motioned his head to Naomi, who seemed to be the most excited out of the lot. Really he was unsure how he would feel about living with these people for God knows how long. Hell he's never left his hometown of New Orleans before and here he was in a military compound in the heart of Berlin after volunteering for experimentation. Just what the hell was he thinking?

The hybrids were all led by their security to the entrance of their new home. One of them had leaned forward and had his eye scanned by a device before they heard a light 'thunk' sound. "Just a precaution. Only a select few of us have access to the security." A woman told them before they opened the door. What could be said about their new home would be nothing short of modern and pleasant. The whole first floor was an open room that had shared its living room with the kitchen with a balcony above them that lead to their own rooms. The exspansive windows that filled the room with natural light and more than likely bullet proof. They even had their own courtyard and a pool out in the back. It had amenities that were not the standard living conditions that the Buraue personel typically had.

There were two reasons why this place was as nice as it was: they wouldn't have as much freedom as they used to have. They simply were much too valuable due to the resources that had been poured into them. The money, the time, the man power, it all was used just to create the first shinigami hybrids. Because of their limited freedom, they would have to have things to keep them entertained and sane though it's not like they aren't allowed to leave. They can only leave if more than one person accompanies them, ensuring that they have someone to watch their back. However even though many of the higher ups knew that they would need amenities they were apphrensive about spending so much money to construct this home, but there was a benefactor that had a stake in it as well.

"Holy hell, this place is fancy!" Abel looked around, letting out a long whistle before his eyes stopped on something that should not had been there. Well rather, someone. "Who the hell are you?!"

"W-what the-?!" One of the security personel exclaimed.

The young man had given them a coy smile before he seemed to disappeared, moving fast so fast that he couldn't be seen. He then reappeared a few feet away from them with a wide grin. "Guten Morgen!" He spoke playfully with a heavy Chineese accent. Upon closer inspection, this man was around the same age as the shinigami hybrids.

The hybrids and even the guards should have noticed that there were small, neatly wrapped white boxes with red bows in their hands now. One the security guards sighed heavily and said, "Sir, we didn't realize that you would be here so early. We weren't expecting you for at least another hour."

"I know, but do you have any idea how boring it is to sit around with Wilhelm? There's just dead silence. It's awkward. Besides, I brought breakfast." He held up bags filled with traditional German cuisine; bread rolls, wurst, cheese curds, cheese, and different kinds of spreads such as butter, jam, and marmalade.

"You left Colonel Liebert to do the rest of the paperwork didn't you?" One of the guards had asked knowing full well that he did.

"Eh, don't sweat the details." He chuckled, walking over to the kitchen's bar counter and placed the bags down.

Abel looked relatively confused with the situation at hand. Their guards seemed to be quite familiar with this person, who was obviously a higher rank than them due to the fact they called him sir. "Uh, just who in the fresh hell are you?"

The young man turned around with a friendly grin and leaned against the counter. "Oh yeah, I ought to introduce myself to you all. My name is Xiao Tian, but you can call me Colonel Tian. I assume that you were already informed that I would be acting as your teacher and squad leader as well as living here with you?"

Sai's eyes lighten up smelling the food from the bags she rushes over to the counter sitting down on the stool she looks up Xiao. " Im sorry to rush like this..goes against my raising, We've been in a place with god awful food and this is the first real food I have seen in months...smells so wonderful, this is for us yes? " She looks at the food, before feeling ashamed bowing her head "I am so sorry for being so dishonorable, sumimasen. " Keeping her head bowed and eyes shut. The smell of the fresh breads filled her nostrils kept pushing her to her limits to just stuff her face full but she kept her head down fighting off the will to finally have a taste of fresh food once again. The inside of the house itself she paid no attention to. It was the Kitchen and the food she has been itching to near. What kept her sane throughout those three long months was her memories of running her small business. The smell of the spices, and food that ran through shop. She needed to cook so bad and eat real food, it was truly the only thing thats been on her mind after a month spent in that lab.

Naomi lift's the box to her ear and slightly shakes it. She walks to the counter pulling up a stoolong next to Sai and sitting down. She puts the present down on the counter."Colonel, are we cool to open these boxes and may we have some good food now please?"

This month all felt like one long nightmare that his mom still hasn't waken him up from. Nothing but a whole bunch of talking and hair pulling out occurred and finally they were being placed something new. A whole lot of stuff happened, Kasuka only half awake for and not too sure of except for the man calling him his teacher. He made sure to note his name, as he seems to be a food supply. Unlike the others, he skipped the asking part and went straight to the food, pulling out the first pastry he could see and threw it in his mouth. He turned to the man, his mouth half filled "So training what exactly? None of us really know what we are yet"

Having left the van and walked along with the others, though hearing Abel's comment made him roll his eyes; finding it hard to be enthusiastic when none of them still didn't know what exactly they were meant to do. Three months spent healing and not once did they explain why they were given the serum or the purpose of this training? He wasn't one to enjoy being left in the dark, especially when it could lead to risking their lives as they already had done by the procedure alone.

It perplexed him as to how the rest of the group were taking it so well, but it didn't matter cause none of them had a choice really. And so, entered the building to find the place far nicer and fancier than expected which confirmed what he thought the moment he saw the building.

Before he could look around some more; a sudden blur followed by the sensation of something placed in his hand then seconds later saw the young male who spoke of being their teacher. Hearing him talk of being both the teacher and squad leader after offering food, but this Xiao seemed hardly any older than them.'More like the warden.'Terrence made no move to the food like the others with a look of suspicion on his face.'Don't think all these fancy decorations can disguise that this place is nothing more than a prison and us the prisoners...am I right to assume?'He finished while glaring at the leader, tired of being told of nothing and now forced to be watched like little kids at a childcare center.

"No no, you're fine! Hospital food sucks! Eat as much as you like everyone. I've brought more than enough for everyone. And open your presents please!" Xiao laughed in his perpeptual light hearted manner as he stuffed his face with toasted bread with lemon marmalade spread along it. There was something they would need to know about Xiao; he notorious for being horrible at giving presents to people despite how hard he tries to find the best ones. Most of the presents he gave were the opposite of the intended person's interests or they were just extremely tacky. One time Xiao gave Wilhelm a subscription to Play Boy magazine to help 'relax' him. Wilhelm ended up sending letters to Xiao with letters directly cut out from those magazines to never send him gifts ever again. Another time he gave Hellena a cd of Chinese opera and out of politeness the whole labratory listened to Chinese opera for a week.

It seemed like everyone was relaxed around him save for both Abel, who was standing as far away from him as possible and Terrence, who was very vocal of his suspicions. However, one of the guards did not take kindly to Terrence's tone. "Have some respect kid. You're talking to a colonel and he is generously offering his time and money to-"

Xiao stood up, motioning the guard to pipe down. "Hey I'm not taking any offense to it. Calm down and have some food before it gets cold." The guards had given Terrence the evil eye and walked towards the island counter to enjoy some breakfast. The colonel sauntered over to Terrence and Abel. "Heh, well I can't pull a fast one on you guys and say that you're exactly free, but to say this place is a prison and I'm your warden? Now you're just being dramatic." Chuckling, he slid his hands in his coat pockets and shook his head. How could someone be so distrustful when they were the ones that signed up for Seraphim in the first place? "If you want answers then you won't need to wait long. Just relax and have some fun! I plan on showing you guys around the place!"

He wrapped his arms around Terrence and Abel's shoulders, with the latter looking very stiff as they were led to where the rest were. Xiao forced the two of them to sit down and pushed some food in front of the two of them.

Abel, after hearing his stomach growl, relented and grabbed wurst between two soft buns and bit down on it. This was the best damned thing he had in the last three months. "Uh, yeah what Kasuka said. What exactly do you mean by training? And what exactly are we?"

Xiao arched his brow and looked at him with shock. "What? Were you not paying attention when they explained the whole schtick??"

The guard's sudden hostility from his suspicions made him tense up, thinking the guy was about to attack him, but Xiao chiming quelled that possibility. That stink eye aimed at him didn't go unnoticed and gave the guard a momentary glare of his own before direction his attention to the acting leader, who's comment on referring this place as to a prison a result of being overdramatic made him scoff.' Tch..that's how I see it.'He muttered mostly to himself.

Any other scathing words he might of had to say were cut off by the man's sudden arm dropping over his shoulder, which made his glasses go askew and nearly fell off. Having to his bandaged right hand to adjust them back over his eyes only to be dragged along to where the others were.'Don't think I'll let myself be dragged around by the nose blind...'A rumbling from his stomach cut him off as he realized just how hungry he was; the food back at the previous place really was awful.

Even though he didn't trust any of them, he couldn't very well pass up the opportunity to each actual food after eating what looked like gruel and tasted like paste these last three months.' But I guess..thank you for the food.' Resigned as he was; being rude after being offered food was another thing and started towards the food until he recalled the box in his left hand and out of curiosity, placed it down on the countertop to open it.

After hesitating, Naomi turned around on the stool leaving the present in place. This "Xiao" guy seemed too persistent about the presents, made her nervous. Focusing on Xiao and the two guys he was trying to get comfortable with, she felt the urge to push him off the other two. Listening to her gut, she calmly and casually stood up and walked towards him.
"The food, the presents, I'm sure we're all grateful for. However, correct me if I'm wrong, you seem to be acting as if we should be friends getting all close and personal." She spoke bluntly. By the time she finished her sentence she was close enough to give a little push on his chest enough to make Xiao take a step back.
"Plus, there's a thing called personal space."

Naomi paused for a moment realizing that maybe Xiao wasn't supposed to be so easily pushed. She turned around gazing across the room as she walked slowly.
"People, lighten up. What kind of prison has a pool? And if Xiao was the warden, he wouldn't be getting all friendly with all of us. Sarcasm followed by a giggle escaped her lips as she twirled to face the boys once again.
"I think it's time for introductions. I'm Naomi!" She grinned gleefully praying that the guards wouldn't rush at her.

-Inches from the food it was driving her mad truly. Ready to take a bite of actually food she suddenly snapped to attention hearing the voice again. " Open...the Gift Saya..." her eyes slowly drift to the gift. " I apologize for being so rushy, I should know my manners for being given..a gift. " Her stomach growled louder as she heard the commotion with the others. Grabing the gift and placing it in front of her, The other female introduced herself. "Naomi, My name is..Itachi. Glad to finally know your name." her eyes move to Xiao. Seeing a glimpse of shadow behind him, only for a mere second. " Thank you for gift Xiao-san. " She pulls the ribbon tie out of the knot letting the ribbon fall to on the ground, she pushes the lid up and off the container to see what is inside.
