Personality: Roland is a very cunning and sly individual. Despite the fact that he is hard to read, Roland excels in the leading his troops. He knows when you have to crack the whip to maintain order, and when to crack a smile and join the party to improve moral. He constantly walks the fine line of admiration and fear with his men, and has won the respect of many a soldier by putting himself at risk to ensure as many of his men return home as possible.

History: Roland was born in a small town not far from the country’s capital. He was the son of a local hunter and from a young age Roland was trained to follow in his father’s footsteps. During this time his father passed down many techniques, things like making and setting traps, basic archery, and how to stalk and track ones target over long distances. And as he grew older Roland grew into a fine hunter in his own right, going out on hunts alone at the age of 14. One day Roland caught the eye of a military officer of Renais when he accidentally stumbled into a wilderness survival training exercise while hunting a deer. Not only was Roland able to navigate the training course and its obstacles with ease, but he was also able to secure a kill on his prey. After observing the boy’s performance the Officer quickly made an offer to recruit the boy, and although Roland didn’t exactly want to take the offer his family needed the extra income that would be provided to them and he was soon enrolled.
Roland quickly completed his basic training and wasn’t surprised when he was assigned to serve under the officer who had recruited him, Captain James Hawke. Captain Hawke had seen a potential in Roland and was going to make sure it didn’t go to waste. Aside from his normal duties as a scout for the Renais Army, Roland was also given various other tasks to expand him in other ways. He was taught ways of strategies and tactics, learning to master the game of warfare. After a few years, all his hard work had paid off; Roland was given command of a small Scouting unit of his own following down the path that Captain Hawke had set out for him. It wasn’t long until Roland proved that he was not only a competent leader, but a good one. His unit was able to accomplish the tasks given to them with minimal casualties and was soon moved off of routine scouting missions to special assignments. Again Roland powered through and completed the missions given to him and as time went by his reputation grew. When it finally came time for Captain Hawke to step down as the Captain of the Scouting Regiment he knew who his successor would be and Roland was honored to take the position. It has been five years since he took up the position of Captain of the Scouting Regiment and Roland still holds his position with honor ready for his next assignment.

@Ike (I'm calling you Ike rather than Arthanus because it's easier, and your Avy): C for Swords and B for Bows, plox. Or B for Swords and C for Bows. Max WLV for a Tier 1 is B (Like FE9), meaning that a LV1 T2 would naturally only have a B as the highest WLV. I have to be slightly realistic about the Levels your weapons are. That means (sadly) no Brave Bow. Then just copy what you PM'd me about the games you've played into the CS, and I'll tag you in the first post and you'll be clear for IC posting.

Can I get a description of what elshade looks like when it is cast and what it's effects are? I didn't see anything for it on the fire emblem wikia and I don't remember that tome being in any of the games I have played.

Well, the shade tome used by bwdYeti in FE7x showed a seal of dark magic that split into multiple tendrils which attacked the enemy. But it was pathetically slow. So perhaps a faster, fancier version of that? Could be like Elwind which attacks from multiple directions? I leave some creative freedom to you in that, because Elshade never was a part of any of the games.

That was a bit much but I didn't want to immediately jumped in so I more or less added an archer or two to keep him busy for a couple of seconds before he did anything.

At least you thought of a post, writer's block is keeping me from posting anything or any of the RPs I'm in.

Although I am sure Janten is thrilled that everyone is coming to help him over his brother I do think we will need some people to stay with Banon. Janten can't be the "bad" prince if he is everyone's favorite lol

I feel like I should clarify the Renais royal family tree, because it can be kind of confusing.

Fado is the father of Ephraim and Eirika.

Eirika is the mother of Iris (who has yet to be involved in the plot) and King Finnick. King Finnick is the father of Cecil.

Ephraim is the father of Hyvel (who was King, but was basically impeached). Hyvel is the husband of Alienna and the father of Janten and Banon.

This makes Finnick the cousin of Hyvel and his children. Don't ask me for a name of Finnick's spouse. Don't have one right now.

I will not disclose who Eirika and Ephraim married, as it is not directly canonical for either of them to marry one person or another. If you want to believe that Ephraim married L'Arachel, that's fine, but she still died without an heir to the throne. However, to avoid ruling out the possibility of Eirika having married Saleh, she does have a daughter (Iris), not to say that she did or didn't, but simply to appease people depending on their preferences. Although the history in the first post says that Innes has always been known to favor Eirika, which is canonical according to the game, that does not mean they married or did not marry; if you want to believe that King Stelin of Frelia is a third child of Eirika, fine, just don't say so outright IC.

Now time for me to see how many people everyone has killed and do some calculating.

I said find, he won't even know who Janten is, since he's only lived in Renais for a short while.

I moved to Janten because he's the most logical choice for Carn to be near at the moment. I intended to go to the other guy but he's not in a place near Carn who was patrolling around the castle perimeter.

Yeah, and since Banon retreated, there's little need for others to be near him, though someoneshould probably detain one of the dark mages and steal their warp powder, since we need to capture a few and not just kill everyone.

Carn's not good with the 'taking alive thing' he was taught to 'bury the axehead in the bastard's head' so to speak or in his case sword tip.
