Screw it, I'm making another character. I noticed most of us had two or more, and I've never really tried playing multiple characters and I want to see what it's like.
Han Tae Min
"가는 말이 고와야 오는 말이 곱다"
Let's get to know me a bit...
|| NAME ||
Call me Tae Min! Don't get confused, Han is actually my surname.
|| GENDER ||
I hope it's not necessary that I point this out, but I'm male.
|| AGE ||
Just turned 15!
|| GRADE ||
Tenth.
|| SEXUALITY ||
Uh... I mostly like girls, but there have been a few boys who've caught my eye.
|| RELATIONSHIP STATUS ||
I'm single. Never actually been in a relationship before.
|| MORE IN-DEPTH APPEARANCE ||
I like to think I look pretty okay. My hair is naturally black, but I keep it bleached and dyed a light pink. My stepmother thinks it looks really 'tacky', but I like it. I'm a little tall at 5'10, but it's not striking. I mostly blend in with the other kids in that regard. I'm skinny and only slightly muscular. Along my back is a long, jagged burn scar, and if you look closely you can see that my neck is slightly tilted to the right at all times. It still hurts sometimes, and when it does sometimes I have to wear a neck brace to keep it from moving around. I try to keep the tilt hidden by wearing scarves. I try to keep clean and wear matching clothes at all times. The only exception is my socks. I never bother to match those. I think it's a waste of time, and besides, mismatched socks are kind of fun looking.

|| PERSONALITY TRAITS ||
Optimistic

Honest
|| PERSONALITY ||
I try to be nice to everyone, regardless of whether or not I personally like them. I get lonely pretty easily, so I try to keep myself surrounded by good friends. I'm honest to a fault. I don't think I've wittingly told a lie in my life. Sometimes my honesty can get me in trouble even more than lying can. I'm not honest because I think I'm on some kind of moral high horse, it's just part of who I am. Sometimes I can be a bit too pushy, and I have a hard time realizing when it's time to leave people alone. Sometimes I feel like I should stop trying to force myself on people just because of my own loneliness. But as much as I try, now and again someone will bring it to my attention that I should knock it off with the obsessive gregariousness. The other thing about me is that I'm really, really forgetful. Like, more so than my overhonesty, forgetfulness is my hamartia. If I wasn't careful, I'd probably forget my own name. I've been living here in Delbrook for two and a half years and I still couldn't tell you my address or my phone number if asked. I have to carry a notebook with me so I don't forget all my homework. Believe me, it's really bad. But for the most part, I think I'm an okay person. I've got issues, but who doesn't?
|| QUIRKS ||
I never wear the same scarf more than once a week
I'm not paranoid, but I carry a first aid kit in my backpack at all times.
I get motion sick anytime I'm in any kind of moving vehicle for more than a few minutes.
I doodle in the margins of my notebooks
|| HOBBIES ||
Playing instruments, though the only one I'm actually good at is the ukulele... and the kazoo.
Graffiti. Don't tell my moms.
Crocheting. I make a lot of hats.
Learning languages, even though I always forget them
|| LIKES & DISLIKES ||

This is my mom, Han Seung Mi. My mom used to be a clothing store manager, but she hasn't worked since the accident. We get along pretty well, though we argue occasionally.
This is my stepmother, Sheila Reid. She's a librarian. She and I are pretty much best friends, and we make fun of each other all the time. I'm really glad my mom found such a perfect wife.
This is my older stepbrother, Daryl Reid. He's 19 and is attending college in Ohio right now. We tolerate each other pretty well.
This is my little stepsister, Hazel Reid. She's 10 and going to the local elementary school for fifth grade. She can be a total brat sometimes, but I love her just the same.
And finally, here's my little sister Han Ji Yoon. Also 10, she goes to the same school as Hazel. Like Hazel she can get on my nerves, but again, I love her to pieces.
|| HOUSE DESCRIPTION ||
A small but nice house with a lot of yard space around it. There are only two bedrooms, so me and my sisters share a room and when Daryl is home, he sleeps in the basement. The address is 6 Rosaline Avenue, but don't trust me to remember that.
|| CAR DESCRIPTION ||
My moms don't drive anymore. Our car got totaled a few years ago and we haven’t gotten a new one since. We all have bikes though.
I may not be great, but I'm not boring.
|| BIOGRAPHY ||
Well, first of all, I'm not actually from Korea. My parents are. I was born here in Texas, in San Antonio. I was the first child my mom successfully had, after about two miscarriages. Anyway, My little sister was born when I was five, and soon after that my dad divorced my mom and we moved to the much smaller town of Brownsville, way down near the Mexican border. That's where my mom met Sheila, and three years later they got married. She already had two kids of her own, a son and a daughter just like my family. Daryl is four years older than me, and Hazel is only a month younger than Ji Yoon. Daryl and I get along pretty well, but Hazel and Ji fight like cats and dogs, except for a few rare moments when they're like best friends. I When I was about twelve, my mom was driving us kids back home from school when we hit a truck. Hazel was the only one to come out unscathed. The car caught fire, but luckily everyone made it out. Me and Daryl both got really bad whiplash, and Ji Yoon's arm got broken so badly she was in a cast for almost a year. My mom got hit the worst. She's paralyzed below the waist now and has to get around using a wheelchair. Naturally, after that neither she nor Sheila really trust cars. Sheila even forbade Daryl from getting a car until he left for college, even though he could afford it with the money he gets from this great job he has fixing cars. But anyway, we ended up moving again, this time to Delbrook. Delbrook is the smallest town I've ever lived in by far, but it's also got a way better school system. I'm glad this is where I ended up going to high school. So far my freshman year grades were okay, and I'm all set for a new year.
|| THEME SONG ||
More than Life - Whitley "To touch something real Will help your wounds heal Like the sun on your face The dreams of starry nights And we are homeward bound"
"Shine on you crazy diamond." Andreas has known the twins since they were younger, before whatever happened went down and they were orphaned only to be adopted. He doesn't know too much about their parent's past - Kaatje does, his father was a friend of their biological father and so for two years they kids all got along. That's what kids do, right? When they were kids, Andreas and Marco got along well, if things hadn't gone the way they did it was a friendship that probably could have stood the test of time. Nowadays he doesn't really socialize at all, with Marco - instead he gets along well with Maria although the two don't hang around much he's fond of her, in a friendly sense.
|| Davina Devereaux ||
"Dever- French or something?" Andreas only got to know Davina when they started secondary school. He doesn't know much about her and never went out of his way to find out but she was always friendly to him - he appreciates the sentiment. He'd heard through the grapevine and by grapevine he meant prying online about her 'situation' with the ex. That kind of thing got under his skin, maybe driven by his own relationship shortcomings. Perhaps there was something he could do, while remaining anonymous that would mess with this guy. I mean - because she was friendly to him. That's it.
|| Colton Wade Kruger ||
"Jackass." Do you ever meet those people who for some reason just don't sit with you right? Get all up under your skin? And just seeing them can dampen your spirits? The guy wasn't really a bully, Andreas couldn't put his finger on it. Maybe it was that sense of entitlement that came with kids like Kruger, maybe he was imagining it. One thing's sure, as quiet as Andreas may be he was absolutely positive he'd make bits of Colton if it came to a 1x1 match in soccer.
|| Quinten Rumancek ||
"Kings never die." Quinten was a cool guy. Suave and a bit of a ladies man, at least from Andreas' perspective. They were always friendly with each other but never really had a reason to hang out. Maybe this year would be different, if Andreas could overcome a sort of social anxiety befitting to dealing with someone out of your part of the status quo. Somebody Andreas would like to get to know better, just not too well.
|| Bruno Žurančić ||
"I mean, being popular is cool, I guess" Andreas has only ever really interacted with Bruno outside of school, a fellow immigrant and seemingly an alright guy. The two played soccer together sometimes. Andreas enjoyed the challenge and camaraderie despite that they haven't spent that much time together.
|| Sarah Wilkerson ||
"Humans. Rats have bigger hearts, roaches have kinder souls. None kinder than you." Sarah was another one of those friendships whose foundations had been laid during childhood. Andreas met Sarah not long after he moved here, similar to Maria and Marco. There was a different level of 'friendship' especially for someone like Andreas. He had confided things in Sarah and her in him. She knows him better than anyone, maybe even better than he knows himself. Her move didn't sour anything, the two still get along. Andreas wishes he had more time for people like Sarah.
@Apoalo I feel as though it is too early for any games to be going on. Soccer is a spring sport most places. Sure they could have practice and stuff but again, it is a little to early for soccer. It would more than likely be football season and not Soccer season. Baseball and Soccer usually go on about the same time and I know for a fact that Baseball is a spring sport.
Ok, um. Riley is Quarterback on the FOOTBALL team, and plays Striker in Soccer, point-guard in basketball and Shortstop in baseball (he plays a lot). Anyway, the first football game is tonight in the RP. :)
@LostDestiny I was feeling the same way when @Apoalo brought up football games so early in the year, but it could fit in. I looked it up on google, actually. Most high schools start their football games in late August/early September, depending on what time the school year started. Not all players would be able to play, some might be benched for the game. Let's just say that the players who attended summer practice will be playing in the game, and those who decided to brush it off, they'll be benched.
My laptop is being a real a-hole to me right now. I've been trying to fix it for the last two hours but it's not wanting to cooperate. I am postponing my posts till tomorrow after I get off work. I get off at 530 PST. I'm sorry guys, I really tried to get this done but everything is just against me right now and it's frustrating >~< I am gonna get some sleep. I have to be up in 4 hours. Night :/ I'll keep tabs on my phone tomorrow at work until I can get on my laptop after work. I'm going to have one of the guys in Tech department have a look at it. G'night guys. -Gab
I don't get a smiley face. Cruel, girl. Just cruel. Besides, there are no seats behind Quinten. Quinn's in the back! Is this a sneaky way of telling my I'm not accepted? >.<
Also, on what day of the RP are the soccer tryouts? Toby isn't on the team yet (and to be honest, I don't know if he's going to be...XD)
