Oh, yeah, that reminds me. Anyone know how many floors there are to this city? And what kinda distance are we talking between the floor of one and the floor of the one above? This city does have floors, doesn't it? Is there a big elevator to go between them? How easily could you break through the floor of one to get to the level below?

It does have levels... Right?

@Vocab The reference structure used for Pyramid City is the Shimizu Megacity Pyramid, according to Harun.

So think that but surrounded by regular, groundbound buildings, I guess.

@Grey Hmm... Disappointing that I cant find a reference for the number of floors it might have. @Masaki Haruna Could you provide me with a number? I don't even need to know, but it'd be nice for the future ^-^

Everyone:

It would be 14 times higher than the Great Pyramid at Giza – 6574 ft aka 2004 meters and would house almost one million people. The structure would compose of 204 smaller pyramids on eight layers.

Now imagine buildings that would fit per layer. 204/8 = 25 and a half buildings per layer. SO make it 26 in total.

Also

Transportation within the city would be provided by accelerating walkways, inclined elevators, and a personal rapid transit system where automated pods would travel within the trusses.

Housing and office space would be provided by twenty-four or more 30-story high skyscrapers suspended from above and below, and attached to the pyramid's supporting structure with nanotube cables.

In other words, it's rare to find anyone with their own cars etc/

EDIT:

25 buildings per layer and the 205th building is at the tip of PC.

We're in, let's say layer 2.

@Grey (or whoever else may know the answer), about this Prana Shield, the thing that stops abilities from affecting the bodies of others... what are the crunch details on that? I'm assuming it stops things like mind control and hemomancers just stopping somebody's blood do they pass out or die, but does it also prevent helpful abilities (like healing)? And if I did run a character that affects the regeneration of cells, for instance, would inducing DEgeneration also be stopped by it?

@Saltwater ThiefWe actually discussed this a little in our GM PM a while back. Didn't decidw on a ything, but one way we looked as a trade off kind of thing, where a healer could heal someone at the cost of weakening their prana shield.

An idea for your character is that it coukd have a sinilkar affect to Spell Resistance in DnD, where the barrier needs to be lowered entirely. Ir could alao be that you have to weaken the prana shield of the other person a certain amount in order to heal, and break it completely to disintegrate fools, which can be done. The Prana inside peeps is what keeps, lets say Kotori, from xutting all your arteries up because of Prana interference, while the actual barrier of excess Prana helps to protect you like Aura from Rwby, while alao seev ing as a back up reserve(i think) for ability users to tap into if internal reserves get too low.

Grey probably can explain better and give an better idea, but I hope thisa helps a little.

Right, I figured that was the case, otherwise there's too many abilities that are "Snap fingers, win fight." So it's like old school Final Fantasy's Shell where it reduces magic damage taken but also reduces white magic effectiveness.

How exactly would one go about whittling down a shield? Just throw prana at it until it drops enough?

New question! In terms of atoms and shit, what is Peana besides life force for powering abilities?

Throw enough anything at it until it drops. Or get them to drop it themselves, however you want to go about accomplishing that.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Finally got around to picking my theme songs. Not sure how well they fit, but it was a pretty easy task and I think they're relatively alright.

Okay, my CS is back on track. Probably going to gt a handle on where the story currently sits, then round out his backstory to fit smoothly into it. That said, if anybody has a suggestion for organizations that could use personnel or a general archetype (student, semi-faculty, normal citizen, etc) that the RP could use, feel free to tag me and let me know. The character is largely flexible, so anything's good.

Hm. maybe Aiden could use you? Or the Pyramid City's government under Adam Pride? Or even ENMA! It all really depends on what he's comfortable with.

@Saltwater Thief Fancy being Trappy's informant (cannon fodder)? There's a slot open after the last ones... Untimely retirement.

And that is the end of that story!
