Cassius Tenaroc

Timberland boots thumped against the pavement as an individual came into Elyria, walking with a hand in his pocket and a briefcase. He was sporting his brown leather coat as he stared off to the lights of the city, displaying a smirk on his face So....this is Elyria the old man was talking about huh...people like me, so he says... the man said to himself.

Sniffing the air, he was trying to catch any scent of blood to see if the place lived up to it's expectations as he walked into the city, curiously look around for any activity that could lead him to making business. Alleys, bars, corners, warehouses...there were many choices he had. Hell...he was even a muscle for hire at one point. He was aware of the vampires that roamed the place but it was of no concern to him at the moment. He was there for business, not to stir up shit.

Looking over, he watched some ladies in some skimpy outfits who were on there way, more than likely to a club, leaving Cassius to feel he need to follow and maybe if lucky, find some customers and get a taste of this city's snatch.

Huge Collaberation with almost all Characters

Caius stepped out from the shadows as silently as he had come. His blue eyes were clear and sharp as he looked at the red head vampire that stood in front of him. It was one of the ancients, he was sure. In the corner of his eye, he saw a movement in the shadow. Claudia had come when she sense that her twin brother now faced one of the vampires.

Claudia... Caius warned when he saw her bare her teeth. Being in close proximity of vampires didn't go too well with her.

Claudia's eyes shifted from the vampire to the wolf but she didn't relax her stance nor did she back down.

To prevent any conflict, Caius' form melted back into a human, his upper half naked. "Good evening," he greeted in a neutral tone of voice.

"Hello, I'm Lucinda and this is my home. Who might you two be? And if I may ask why are you running around out here? I thought the wolves were all in the industrial area. You can tell that jerk Samuel that I don't like being harrassed."

Caius shook his head. "We are not of Samuel's pack. And we are here just to survey the area," he looked towards his sister who was still in wolf form. "My sister and I do not mean any harm. We heard of an unrest in this town and thought it best to see what was going on. My name is Caius."

"And my name is Claudia," Claudia finally reverted to her human form, half naked and covering up herself with her arm.

Lucinda smiled. "It's nice to meet you." Lucinda frowned a little." How many packs are around here now?"

Caius didn't break eye contact with the vampire Lucinda. "I can only speak for my pack. And the whole pack is not even here," he said.

"Caius..." Claudia's warned, her eyes still wary as she looked at Lucinda. She had no idea how her brother could be so calm standing just a few feet away from creatures they were at odds against. But even with the warning in her voice, Caius didn't seem to mind.

"I just bought that bar mystic in town and it's a vamp/werewolf bar and nightclub by the time I finish with it. I thanged the name of it to "Bite me" Lucinda laughed. "I hope you guys will come out and mingle with the rest of us locals." She looked at her phone. "I actually have to get something and go back there now. I'll see you later I hope." Lucinda went into the house and into Alex's room to find him a shirt.

Claudia glared at Caius as soon as Lucinda had entered the house. "Was it really necessary to be friendly with her? What next? Rubbing elbows with them at this bar she's talking about? I went there earlier. It reeks of them.

Caius turned to Claudia and gave her a grin. "You're right on the dot. I think now we need to find decent clothing," he said as he shifted back to wolf form and disappeared back into the shadow.

Claudia glared at him then at the house before she shifted back to her wolf form and followed after the younger twin.

Ello Mon amie, would ya pour me ai double black lable rum nekid she said in a soft tone like a cat's pur as her blue eyes examine his aura (black lable 151 proof)

She smiles unabashedly after examining him her eyes sparkling with amusment

Alex grinned and had the good manners to look a little embarrassed. "Sorry, usually I'm totally naked." He poured her drink and caught her smile. "So My name is Alex what's your name?

Jac laughs her voice smokey and her gaze unwavering yet still filled with powerful suggestion

I be called Jac which be short of Jacqueline an new here she said taking the drink and downing half in one dainty sip if it could be called that.

I be from Orleans down river come up stream ta see tha sights and all tha pretties to choose

Alex nods and says, "I got here yesterday so I guess we can learn our way around together if you like. This is my friend's bar. She asked me to come up and run it for her." Alex thought for a moment and smirked knowingly. He leaned on the bar for a moment looking her in the eye with an intense but friendly smile that reached his eyes. "Hmm, cajun accent....you aren't a vampire....I'm guessing you my dear are a witch. He smiled. "I'm good at this game. Can you guess what I am?"

I kin smell da Blood on you as fresh as a ritual and the feel O de crypt; na babe of the new day are I she says then takes another sip of her rum.

I be here for ta see tha lay O de land and see tha struggle comin soon an No side do I favor for havin none here I know foolish I am nots

Alex looked at her. "Well I'll be damned! Most women wouldn't catch that I'm a child of the night." He caught a look at her charm around her neck. He leaned over and took a closer look. "Laveau coven.....very interesting. Even more interesting that you don't seem intimidated by me at all. Don't get me wrong, I don't want to scare you." He got a little more serious."And what struggle do you see coming?"

Walking along the sidewalk still with his briefcase in hand, Cassius followed the two chickadees towards this club that seemed to look a little promising on the outside, checking the name of the place and thinking for a moment with a raised eyebrow Bite Me?....shit the sign might as well say Lick Me, Suck Me, or Fuck Me, while they're at it. heh.... He said shaking his head but headed on in a little amused wondering if this was actually a titty bar. The moment he walked in, he stopped, looked around a little, sniffing the air to make sure this was actually the right kind of place to be in.

He caught a few scents that were definitely that of the supernatural, turning his head towards the bar area, walking that way to start the night off with something refreshing.

Calie didn't sleep long, she typically only slept small periods at a time, from a while of being homeless, it was a habit she'd learned that saved her a lot of suffering. So she woke after a little bit, glancing about, but she seemed to be alone. Which was a little bit of a relief after everything today. She shook her head, and ran a hand though her hair, rising. She tried to be silent as she left the house, just in case she triggered Tabitha's attention, slipping out the back, she made her way around to the front, and slipped away, not necessarily sneaking out, but wanting to be alone, where she didn't have to watch over-and how did that happen?- an excentric vampire.

She started to walk, glancing about her every so often in case there was a cab she could snag, soon reaching the town, she pondering, wondering what she could do. It didn't seem she'd have to worry about food, at least for a few days. Maybe she could get some supplies...if she did, she couldl make some potions that she could sell. Get some money. She pondered that option, as she walked through the town, soon coming to a club, she hesitated. only a vampire would name a club that she thought, shaking her head, she thought she might as well go in.

Long has ma kin been the keeper O the dead’s secrets and if I be not knowing a dead man A walking then I be poor billet O founded by me kin.

It be but fer tha trifling that you are O trouble fer me.

I have sat at ma mother’s left han when she makes pax twin tha clan O Crypt an Moon so you be not so unusual.

Y’all dun stirred up tha dead an made em powerful concerned wit your doins, were this here Oleans den my mother need ta be steppin in fer tha men in sac clothe do notice an do their meddlin. I am her daughter an as such her inheritor
she says again almost purring out her words before finishing the rum and signaling for another

Alex nodded pleased with her answer. He saw Callie and another guy enter. "I'll be right back darlin" Alex walked over to Cassius. Confidence in abundance even though he was shirtless and his rock hard abs were keeping Jac smiling. "Hey, what'll it be tonight?

The big chocolate male was nearing the bar area as he was approached by this male that was shirtless. Being stopped in his tracks and silently looked at this half naked dude, bewildered, Cassius wondered if this was one of THOSE type of bars. He then responded to him Damn sure ain't gonna be you bruh. But uh....got any bourbon? he asked.

Alex laughed outright."Oh you are damn right on that. I'm not into dudes I just ripped my shirt earlier while hanging off the building like a damned monkey. Here you go ."

Cassius smirked upon getting his drink and nodding to show thanks Ripping your shirt hanging off a building? I wonder what excuse you'll have about missing your pants. he said But whatever, man, heh. hmm...must be a vamp.. he said to himself

Alex recognized that other girl that came in right behind him. "Damn I forgot your name....Casey? Catie......Shit I give up. Oh wait! Callie right? Darlin can you do me a favor?" He chuckled loudly, Can you get me a shirt. I'll give you cash to go buy me one or get one from the house or make me one out of thin air. I'm apparently too pretty to walk around shirtless."

Callie glanced about the club, looking to Alex when he addressed her, recalling something about a shirt, she frowned slightly. Should she have brought one with her? But she hadn't even know who needed one, much less that she was going to be ending up at the club.

"Um..." She didn't particularly want to make a trip back to the house, not when she didn't know if she'd get back out without being caught by Tabitha, and she had no idea how to buy a shirt for a guy. What if she picked something deplorable? "I could...maybe...summon one" She said, not sounding too sure, but not certain all the cliental were supernatural creatures-particuarly with some witches, it was hard to tell. And some Vampires had mastered the art of appearing human that it was often too hard to know before they wanted you to know.

Lucinda went into the kitchen and opened the fridge. She slammed it shut and the door came off in her hand. "Son of a Bitch!" She put it back standing up but of course it was totally broken. " Oh FUCK ME!" She yelled and then covered her mouth remembering Garrett was in his room probably with Tabitha. She went out the back door and wished she could just disappear. Lucinda decided to do something she hadn't done in a while. Lucinda kicked her boots off and put on her running shoes.

She decided to go for a run. She grinned this was going to be fun. She jogged at about 20 mph and she kicked it up to about 65mph. She ran around the entire city 4 or 5 times. She just had this energy that she couldn't get rid of and she was really tense. She ran into the bar and threw a shirt at Alex. "I'm putting in a hot tub tomorrow at the house." She reached over the bar and this time without her boots on she had to climb over with a chair and then she fell over the other side. "OUCH!"

"Callie? " Alex slid her a soda and another drink to Cassius and Jac. He turned and watched Lucinda and laughed at her. He helped her up. " Ah Fuck you too Alex. So did you make any good tips running around shirtless? "Alex grinned and said "No but that guy over there thought I was the Sausage King of Elyria." He laughed. Lucinda laughed so hard she choked on her drink.

It didn't take long for both Caius and Claudia to arrive, both in human form and both decently clothed. "You seriously want me to go in there with you?" she asked as they stood just outside the bar.

[color-turquoise]"It was an open invitation of once of the Ancients. Wouldn't want to offend her. If it bothers you so much, you can wait here for me," Caius shrugged.

Claudia stared at him increduously. They were scouts, for God's sakes. They weren't supposed to go in being friendly with the blood suckers. But the fear that his twin brother would get into trouble bothered her that she just gave him an irritable scowl and followed in after him.

The twins immediately spotted Jac, the witch they had met earlier. Caius' eyes swept around the room. Humans, vampires, witches and wolves. Even Claudia looked surprised. 'Wow."

Lucinda looked at Alex and said " I gotta go. I gotta burn this off I can't sit still and it's all stress!" Alex laughed at her just a little. " Be nice to the twin wolves. I met them at our house earlier they seem nice. "I'm gonna fly Alex." her eyes sparkled. "You haven't done that in what 200 years? " "yup at least. So what if I crash land." She kissed him on the cheek and took off out the front door. "Wait! Lucinda! Son of a.....she will never learn." Alex made his way around the bar refilling glasses. Alex walked into the back room and you heard shattering glass. He paced the back room a minute. He picked up his phone and called Andrew. It went straight to voicemail and he went into the office and punched the bag so hard it burst and sand went everywhere." Alex' hair was a mess and he broke the door on the office. It wouldn't latch.

Downing another shot of bourbon, big chocolate, noticed and petite woman a few seats down from where he was sitting and being a little hesitant, he pulled up his briefcase and placed it on the stool next to him as if it was something dear to him. The female, cute as hell, eyes to adore, Cassius finally spoke up Hey over there! calling out to the dark haired female to get her attention.

Jac took a moment to realise that the tall darkskinned man was talking to her so she turned and smiled

Hey oer der[/color she says her eyes now focused on his aura as she took stock of the man who now showed her interest

All he needed was a little response, hopefully something welcoming for him to continue. This was that moment. When she answered him back, he retorts with a smirk Look a little lonely over there. How are you? stirring up a conversation.

Jac's eyes danced with amusment at his words and how cute his nervous nature made him

I do say that I am O de lonely type being all solitaire but ma health is sometin unquestioned. Now if it be you who is lonely an needin ta chat then please go on cuz cause yer voice is so delish. she answers in a teasing tone as she sips a bit more rum

Fucking gorgeous!! Cassius couldn't help but smirk from the female's accent. He slightly chuckled from her response. Yes, he's quite big but something about the women, especially when they're as good looking as she is, it made him slightly nervous to talk to at first until a conversation continues.

Well you can say I'm...a loner but nothing wrong with a little....mingle...so tonight may be my luck night then if I say so myself. He said standing and heading over to her But since you initiated it, I wouldn't mind joining you. For starters....Cassius...Cassius Tenaroc... he said introducing himself holding out his hand, offering for a hand shake.

Jac took the offered hand and used this as chance to test waters

Jacqueline Marie Laveau but mos call me Jac an plez dun call me Jackie coz it's not a name ta remember as I had an Auntie name oh that an she dun made erself ungreatful an be a pleasure I' m sure ta be meetin you she says just before kissing his hand as a test of humor

-------

"Son of a bitch...." Alex walked over to Callie "I need a favor. Can you watch the bar? I gotta stop Lucinda. Just stay here." Alex sped out the door and ran to the house then he went to the middle of the city and looked for the tallest thing around. "Oh fuck!" He ran to the tallest building on the side of the the largest hill. It wasa radio station building.

Callie

Callie felt like she was thrown into the deep end, the request for help suddenly taken by the whirlwind that was Lucinda, and she sat there, dejected. She would have helped...she sighed and stared at her drink, making herself smaller. what do you expect? You're a street rat she thought to herself, looking around but no one seemed to even notice her. Which just made her feel smaller and smaller. maybe I should have just stayed with Tabitha...at least, odd as she is, she notices me. she glanced about, not wanting to go up to anyone least they realize that, while she was a witch, she didn't really belong here. They all seemed to be such glamorous people...while she wasn't.

Sighing to herself, she decided she'd finish off her drink and then go. That was until Alex asked if she'd watch he bar. She was about to object, about to say she didn't know the first thing about running a bar let along making drinks, but he was gone.

She stared, dauntingly, at all the people. She didn't drink. She sucked at making them. It wasn't like making potions. She swallowed, and dreaded the moment someone would ask for a drink, clutching a charm bracelet on her wrist she swallowed.

"d-does anyone know h-how to m-make d-drinks?"

Caius & Claudia

Claudia would have wandered off if it weren't for the vampires that mulled around. Despite her constant dealings with them (thanks to Caius) and her now well controlled temper towards them (or so she thinks), she still didn't want to risk being cornered by one. And so she stuck to her brother, who was walking towards the bar.

Behind the counter was a pretty girl. One that Caius was smiling at. She smelled like peppermint and flowers, not entirely unpleasant for Claudia. But she was never one to easily trust anyone. She knew that her brother was the same although she can't quite comprehend why he acted so friendly to everybody. Vampires included.

"You just mix everything into a glass," Caius said as he sat on a stool at the bar.

"Says the master bartender. Saying that doesn't help at all," Claudia's suspicious look melted into a friendlier smile at the lost look on the witch's face. And for once, she initiated the friendly conversation. "My name is Claudia, and this buffoon beside me is my brother, Caius. We've worked as bartenders before... Maybe you'd like a little crash course on it?"

Callie, Caius & Claudia

Collaboration of @Caits & @Kyrisse

Callie was a little bit flustered, as a guy smiled and spoke with her, his advice didn't help her much and she stared at all the different drinks and types, and then back up at the guy, wide eyed an almost dear in the headlights look. "um....I don't imagine mixing all this together would bring about a pleasant taste"

She glanced over at the girl, who introduced them, a little relieved. "oh rocking the C names then. Cool. I'm Callie and id very much like a crash course...I kind of just got dump in this...and it's a little bit like drowning"

She looked back at the different drinks, not even sure what was what.

"Oh, bummer. That must suck. But don't worry. We'll help you out. We're the best bartenders from down south. Nice to meet you by the way," Claudia rolled up her sleeves as she walked behind the counter. "Stop grinning like a fool and help us out here, Cai," she ordered.

Caius watched the two women behind the counter with an amused look on his face. "You volunteered to help. Why drag me into it?" he asked in a light, playful tone.

"Because I said so. I'm older than you,"

Caius shook his head. "Playing that card, are you? You're only older by two minutes," he chuckled and stood up anyway. As soon as he was behind the bar, he gave Callie another grin. "Nice to meet you, Callie. I---" he wasn't finished speaking when Claudia pushed him towards a woman who had come up to the bar.

"You take care of the orders while I give Callie a summary on what she need to do," Claudia instructed.

Caius chuckled, nodded then turned to the woman. "What can I get for you, ma'am?"

"Hey handsome... Can I get a Sex on the Beach? You..."

Claudia turned to Callie. "Okay, Caius can handle them. Including all the flirting," she shook her head and rolled her eyes and pretended to be exasperated despite the grin on her lips. "Anyway, you have to first figure out what the customer wants. Of course, most of them would want alcoholic drinks. But some don't."

Why was he smiling at her so much? Callie was as inexperienced with guys as she was with making drinks. Was it just being friendly? Or was it flirting? She had no idea. She watched the brother and sister, trying to figure them out, but not coming close to doing so.

She glanced over to Claudia as she started speaking to Callie. so it was flirting? Callie shook her head, sure she had just gone red and she quickly weaved a glamour to hide any blush. "Gods, why make it so hard?" She said exasperated, mixing potions was so much easier, you just had to know what went with what. "And why give them such names? Sex on the beach? What the hell is that?"

Too late, Callie had to wonder if Alex, being a vampire, might be adverse to having werewolves behind the counter, but she decided he had dumped her here, she could do whatever she wanted. And right now these two were like a lifesaver being thrown at her. She'd be stupid not to take the help.

Claudia patted her hand in a reassuring manner as she explained the alcoholic beverages that were available to them. "You mix potions, I'm sure. This is just like that... well, in a way..." she gestured towards Caius, who had attracted several more customers in a short span of time. Most of them were women. "I dunno who came up with the names but I suppose they work... That's vodka and peach schnapps over ice... then cranberry juice and finally... orange juice," she explained everything her brother mixed into the glass.

"Potions are easy" Callie said, "You just have to know what goes with what. This?" She shook her head, sighing softly. "This is like....learning how to do it all over again. I just want to stick with spells." She didn't even know what she was trying to learn it, Caius seemed to have everything under control. "I don't even drink"

"I don't think a crash course would really help you out if you don't even drink," Caius called out to Callie as he began mixing another drink. Even though the customers were taking most of his attention, it was obvious that he was listening in on the women's conversation. "If ever you find yourself stuck mixing drinks again, we'll help you out," he offered.

"Ooh, being generous, are you?"

Caius grinned and winked at Callie. He looked at his sister, shrugged then turned his attention back to the drink he was mixing. Claudia chuckled. "That's Caius for you, I suppose. But yeah, we'll help you out if you need us to. How'd you end up working for the blood suckers, anyway?" she asked.

"I kinda got kidnapped by one." Callie said absently, apparently not even away of what she said, "And now apparently they all think I work for them" Callie was a little resentful about that "Tabitha is an odd little duck, but she seems quite nice. And, well, I can't really turn down a roof over my head" she said with a shrug, glancing to Claudia.

"Honestly, I think Lucinda likes the idea of a club, but when it comes to running it...And she leads Alex around by the nose, he's off going after her somewhere and so here I am. Not knowing how to make a drink"

She leaned back slightly, rummaging through one of her pockets, and coming out with a couple of charms. "They're sensory charms. A bit rudunent for you two, but I know vampires, particulary the originals, can hide pretty effectively. They'll warn you of an unsuspected approach. Just...thanks for pulling me out the deep end. I wish I could repay you with more then those charms."

"Hmmm..." was all Claudia said when Callie spoke of her abduction. She looked at the charms and took them. She was pretty confident about her own abilities. Add Caius to the equation and nothing would be able to get pass without them knowing. But charms were useful. And it wasn't everyday that a witch came around and gave them some. "You didn't really need to give us anything but thank you. These would be really useful." A thought suddenly occured to her and her face lit up. "Why don't you try drinking? I can have Caius fix you up something mild," she suggested.

"It's not so much that I don't drink, its that I can't afford it" Callie said softly, looking away from them both. No one liked to admit that they were homeless, much less poor, but when you were both, it was a touchy subject. She bit her lip, knowing she'd just willingly given away what could be money for her next meal, but found for the nounce that she didn't particularly care.

"I was thrown out by my coven, because I didn't like the way they did things...Had to flee, and here I am in Elyra. Its not so easy to start again" She said after a moment.

"That's a sad story. Something we're not strangers to," Caius said as he walked over and placed a glass in front of Callie. "Here's A Kiss Goodnight. Nothing strong. Just something to pick up that mood."

"So, do you plan on staying with the vampires?" Claudia asked.

"Well, I think Tabitha might object to me leaving....but I have no where else to go anyway" Callie said with a shrug. At least there was food, and a roof over her head there. She frowned at the drink, wondering if she should try it or not. A goodnight kiss seemed a daunting name. She hesitated, before trying it.

Callie, Caius & Claudia

Collaboration of @Caits & @Kyrisse

"We'd invite you to stay with us but..."

"You might not wanna stay with two mangy mutts," Caius finished. He chuckled as he leaned on the counter and watched Callie study her cautiously.

Claudia rolled her eyes and then pointed at Callie's drink. "Try it. It's good. It's just raspberry schnapps, strawberry vodka, 7-Up and cranberry juice with a splash of dark rum," she enumerated the mixture of ingredients to reassure the witch.

"There's a lot of tension between the wolves and vampires...and I'd rather not tick off an excentric original..." Callie said softly. She only really liked tabitha out of the three orignal's, although Garrett, while scary, hadn't done anything to her. Lucinda...seemed to treat Tabitha like a child. While she mighgt act childish, Callie suspected that Tabitha wasn't at all child-like. She gave a sigh, "I just need a garden, thats all. I just want to grow herbs and make potions" She didn't think she could watch Tabitha all the rest of her natural life, but she didn't see anyway out of what she had gotten herself into.

Frowning, she listened as the drink was described to her. "There's strawberry vodka?" She wondered, picking up the glass, she tried a little bit of the drink, simply to not disappoint either sibling.

Caius nodded. Tension between the two races existed for as long as he can remember. He was not about to trigger an unwanted and an unwarranted conflict with them now. "I certainly hope you fare well with them," his observant eye noted Callie's hesitation with the drink. "Don't worry. You're free to tell me it sucks if you don't like it. I won't take it against you," he gave her a lazy smile before he turned away to tend to another customer.

"Werewolf," a male vampire hissed under his breath when his eyes fell on Caius.

Caius returned the hostile look with a lazy look of his own. "And this wolf can mix one helluva drink. What are you having?"

The male vampire looked hesitant. He glanced towards Claudia and then back to Caius. Deciding he needed the drink more than getting into trouble with two wolves, he sat down. "Death Sentence," he said in a low voice. "Two shots."

Caius grinned.

Claudia watched the exchange with a raised eyebrow. "I don't even know how he does it," she grumbled.

"No, it's good" Callie said softly, wondering if she must forever balance between two races, while shunned from her own. It was a strange thought. She stared at her drink, but glanced up at the hiss.

Why couldn't they just get along?

"Some people just have a knack for communicating" Callie said to Claudia, "It probably helps that he's serving alcohol" She added, with amusement, taking another sip of her drink.

"There were a couple of wolves at the house, when I snuck out. Was that you guys?" She suddenly asked.

"Makes sense. He's the friendlier of the two of us anyway," Claudia nodded. "Yeah that was probably us... unless there were other wolves scouting the area."

Callie gave a shrug. She was aware that something had gone down, but she was aware what. There had been a...solelum air about the place as she had snuck out, but she hadn't wanted to get involved. "I don't think so. I woke to Tabitha gone, having dumped me in a room that was practically all mattress, so it was probably hers."

She pondered that a moment. She hadn't seen any sign of Tabitha in the house, but she was sure the girl had still been there.

"Its like puzzles in puzzles in puzzles...how the hell did I end up in this situation?" She sighed to herself. She finished off her drink, setting the glass down, "I'm sorry you guys got looped into this, I hope Alex doesn't get mad I kinda let you guys take over...Maybe he'll think next time before just leaving me here"

She didn't want to bring either of them down, and she glanced down at her empty glass. Had she really drank it that quickly? "Oh...maybe I shouldn't have another one...I might do something foolish"

Claudia chuckled. "Glad you liked it. Caius never fails at making something nice when he mixes," she looked around as if expecting Alex to already be there. She didn't want to get Callie in trouble nor did she want to have to deal with a vampire. "We'll just slip out through the door when he comes back," she grinned.

"At least you can slip out" Callie said, leaning against the bar slightly, letting her hair curtain her face somewhat. The only people who had talked to her lately, and didn't seem to want anything from her, and she was stuck, in the middle, of two races.

"Maybe take me with you, so I don't get given another task to do"

Claudia raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure about that? Won't they come looking for you?"

"I'm sure Tabitha will...but she's oddly worried about free will. Still...I didn't mean forever. I just mean...a night out" Callie said, a little flustered, tumbling over her own words, she was glad for the glamour that would hide the blush.

Claudia grinned sheepishly. "Oh, sorry. I thought you meant like permanently," she said. "I'm sure Caius won't mind if that's the case," she added.

"I wouldn't mind what?" Caius asked as he walked back to the ladies.

"N-nothing" Callie said quickly, "Well, it might be nice, but...Like I said before, I don't want to tick off an original by just...leaving" She said, biting her lip nervously.

Caius raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I didn't know you wanted to leave."

"She doesn't! Stop butting into other people's conversation, Caius," Claudia scolded.

Had it been any other wolf, Claudia's words and her arrogant tone of voice would have triggered a fight. But Caius has always been strangely calm. Even on that first full moon, he had attacked his sister but was able to control himself in a matter of hours. He just shook his head. "Fine. I'll stay out of it."

Callie closed her eyes and rubbed her temple. What was she getting herself into? Vampires and werewolves? How did she get here? "No, gods. I...I'd like to leave, but I don't want to hurt Tabitha...She just seems so...innocent. A strange concept to put to a vampire...She seems lonely as well. It must be hard to...be what they are, always seperate from their spawn, just those few steps higher...I don't want to hurt her, don't want to throw her hospitaity in her face." She said, shifting slightly to include Caius into the conversation.

"You're not butting in, Caius" She said softly, "I'm sorry, I'm probably not making sense..."

Cass & Jac

The Rumi-Tai Collaboration. Featuring: @RumikoOhara

A chuckle escaped from his lips. Jac sounded cute for her even with it sounding masculine. Taking the kiss to the hand, he responded I must say, you're truly a charmer. Too bad I don't have a Caribbean accent. There definitely would've been trouble in paradise. Still displaying a smile. So what brought you here tonight, Miss Jac? he asked

She laughed softly her eyes locking with his as fearlessly as an Alpha female's and filled with a sense of mystery and danger.
Do ya refer to tha Arawak or those present cuz if it is tha former then it's odd that you even know of them; if it is the later then perhaps yall need ta seek anothers company for I be Creole in blood.

She gives him a mischievous smile before she continues and answers his question about her reasons for being here.
I come here ta see if tha rumors down river bare truth; is there a coming conflict and if there is will it flow down river, besides it stands a good chance of making for a great many O the deceased to converse with

Cassius raised an eyebrow to the response, looking into her hypnotizing eyes wondering what she meant but then caught on Hm? Just saying you have something about you that attracts me. But since you brought up your origin, can't help but think about what enchantment you have on me presently. But regardless...I don't care where you're from...I don't mind being in your presence...even if you're alien. He responded with a smirk. he took another swig of his drink.

Conflict? what conflict? The usual...Vampire and Werewolf..and....from what I caught on with your scent...witches? he asked

I hol no charms only those granted by my form and sex; I have no reason ta make O you a thrall for it be a foolish gambit as a solitaire and it is the spirits of tha dead that have show me the path taken by those here.

I am yes a witch as is obvious by ma lack of scent lupine or tha grave
Jac says with a giggle as she picks up her Rum an kills it then orders another

Well I guess that 's a good thing then heh. No need to feel on guard. but it's been a while...since I've ran into a witch. That grave smell is not something you can't miss. smelling good the way it is. he chuckled But...I simply came here myself to see what business I can get from here. Doesn't matter with who though. But I get the feeling I'm going to get involved with some crazy shit soon.

Jac tilted her head slightly as if considering his answer or trying to drain water from her ear then spoke in a pur To not be on one's guard here in this place were I have no support would be a foolish relaxation O me senses as a solitaire. It could start a war unimagined if I die here for ein my own clan an I are sperated they defends and revenges tha loss O blood an me Sister Marie see it as a chance ta expand her influence , to prove her power.

Da Clann is itchin fer tha chance O war fer long has it been since day put the fear inta tha Arcane worl

What Jac was saying, Cassius nodded, agreeing to what she was saying about how one would need to be if one was alone but Cassius have been used to being a loner for a while being able to avoid some of the dangers he's sensed...some, he faced head on if worth the confrontation. yeah....I agree but I've survived this long being on my own and avoiding danger. Even if I'm in the middle of danger, I can adapt pretty well. but from what you're saying, you sound like your clan is super deep to want a fight...

I am the 4th daughter of the Queen of Vodoun Marie Christina Laveau the 5th and it is our family that songs have been written an tales whispered since the days before the Plantations hel sway. We be da speakers O the dead, the casters of charms and tha bringers O curses; to cross our clann is ta feel tha weight O that History.

Make no mistake i am here O my own reasons but in my heart still flows the blood of our clann and it would be an excuse that my sis would love ta take advantage of. She be tha reason I left for here cause she see me as her competition
she says with a soft tone then sighs.

Before taking another swig, he stopped short of the glass touching his lips and looked over Oh shit...I knew I heard your name from somewhere...my bitch ass mentor told me a little about your clan....don't remember much but I remember the name and warning about you. Your origin sounds better than being born to a whore that was bitten by a scheming manipulative motha fucka who owned her a basically turned me into what he wanted so to help expand his black market shit.... he responded.

Hmph.....honestly, I know what you're doin is none of my business and we don't really know each other like that. but...since you seem cool and collected...sexy too I might add, if you need anything...you can shoot me a holla. maybe we both can figure this shit out and I can probably get somewhat established here by getting to know the resident badasses... finishing his drink, wanting one more round.

Alex North

Alex ran towards the tower and he saw Lucinda. She had only done this one time on purpose and once on accident. He had only done it once and it was terribly difficult to do. The problem isn't failing, it's the landing. Every time Lucinda had failed at it she has gotten terribly hurt and even though they heal, if she hurt herself very badly it could take quite some time and he didn't want to see her in agony for days.

Lucinda had been a little different since he had gotten to Elyria. He wondered if he should ask Garrett or Tabitha what was going on with her. As he was thinking this he saw her jump into the air and transform into a bat. He grinned. The bat wasn't the hard part. The hard part was transforming from the bat into mist. He held his breath when she disappeared. After about a minute she appeared in her human form but she was falling out of the sky. Alex ran and caught her before she could hit the ground.

He stood her up and he began pacing back and forth, furious with her. "Luce what the hell is wrong with you? The last couple of days you have been...idk but not yourself is not quite strong enough of a description. Are you done trying to break every bone in your body? I have a bar to run and I left Callie in charge."

Lucinda looked at him and shook her head. "I'm trying to get this down right. It could come in handy...if I can keep it up for more than a minute." She tilted her head, "You mean that girl who has been hanging with Tabitha?" Lucinda nodded. "She seemed alright when I met her." She looked up. "Does she know how to mix drinks?" "How the hell would I know that? I had to go make sure you weren't crippling yourself for all eternity!" Lucinda grumbled back. "With all that's been going on I'm not as bitchy as you are."

"Yeah well, you're lucky I care." Lucinda thought to herself about Garrett and nodded slowly. "Yes I guess I am."She followed him back to the bar. When they got there there were 2 werewolves at the bar with Callie. "I guess she managed just fine without you." Lucinda walked over to the bar and smiled. She pulled out fifty bucks and handed it to Callie. "Thanks for watching the bar and on short notice too. If you two want a job here there are openings. I could use a couple more bartenders."

Alex looked at Claudia and smiled. "I'm Alex."

Garret and Tabitha

Garrett did not mind Tabitha being there with him, but he did not speak. He had no words. Jackson/Salazar had the beginnings of what a fool looked like, defying his maker and all, but still if anyone was going to kill him it should have been Garrett. Also seeing his spawn dead like he was hurt just as bad as if he had a dead child. Garrett looked at Tabitha, and sighed.

"Tabby, I am sorry. Me being sad is probably taking time away from one of your pet projects. What about that little she witch....what was her name again?"

Garrett ruffled Tabitha's hair and kissed her forehead.

"And you were doing something in the garden or the yard or something?"

Tabitha gave a shrug, quite content where she was, "Callie? She's out somewhere." She said, not concerned that Callie was out and about-she wasn't going to treat the witch like a pet. Free will, after all, was important, "My projects are to have something to focus on. Why not focus on you? You're more important" She said genuinely, the garden was already forgotten, but no doubt she'd go back to it later, at some point.

Garrett smiled, and twirled a lock of Tabithas hair with a finger. "Ill be honest, im kinda scattered brained at the moment. Kinda just wanna go get smashed."

Garrett snickered.

"You know, 1200 years and I do not remember seeing you super drunk before."

Tabitha tilted her head, thinking on that. There was drunk, and then there was super drunk, but what was the difference? Maybe that's why I don't remember the boat thing..... But then again, she never really remembered how she got into such trouble even when sober, so how would she know? She thought ont hat a moment, her thoughts drifting, before looking back to Garrett. "Probably cause I do something foolish before I can get super drunk, but that is entirely worth it, even if I have to figure out just how I did it" She said with a shrug,

"then lets go get smashed. There might not be any drink left after, but oh well"

Garrett shrugged. They always left a mark on whatever city they lived in, so why not let the mark be wet? The wetness in this remark would be alcohol.

"I dont really wanna go to the club that Lucinda owns now. Maybe we should go explore what places serve the best alcohol, has the best looking women,"Garrett said winking at Tabitha.

Tabitha gave a nod and bounded up, forever full of energy, "So good booze and pretty things. Okay. Pretty's good" She said, seeming to think a moment, having run through the city with Callie, she had a good idea of the lay out now. If she could bring it back, of course. She frowned slightly as it seemed to slip away, and she wondered if she should have drawn it down or something, but too late for that. It probaby didn't help that she'd been distracted by not dropping Callie. Which she'd nearly done. A few times.

She blinked suddenly, perplaxed, looking back to Garrett. "Better looking then me?" She never really stopped to think about her looks. Only when she changed her hair colour, but now she stopped, frowning slightly, trying to imagine herself.

Garrett wrapped his arms around Tabitha and sighed.

["No I was kidding. My bad. Trust me we have lived all over the world and I have seen no one who is more beautiful than you."

Tabitha's thoughts had drifted slightly, trying to imagine her own face. The creative side of her was wondering if her face was symetrical, but she didn't really know, the other side listening to Garrett. She supposed she looked rather...pixy-ish. Was that pretty or cute? She didn't know. She shook her head slightly, bringing her thoughts back, or trying to. She was still perplexed. "Okay then" She said brightly, after a moment, deciding her thoughts didn't matter, she smiled, "So just the best booze then?"

"Fuck it lets make it a night. Lets just go out to drink. Find a night better night club or something. Go ahead and get dressed for a night club, we will drink and dance the night away."

Tabitha smiled happily, and giving Garrett a tight hug, she zoomed off energetically, to her room, leaping onto the many mattresses' bed and jumping over to the closet, she riffled through the clothes, she seemed to discard everything she had, throwing it all over the bed, she crawled through the clothes, seeming to decide on one thing, before throwing it back towards the closet, this going on for a few moments, before she settled on a dress she had designed herself, that fit her perfectly. It was, or should have been, mostly pinks that reflected her pink hair, but she throw other colours in there, basically using her imagination, she had created a dress that had da base pink, throwing in swirls of colour, that glittered due to the clear gemstoens she'd had sewn in as well. She wriggled out of the clothes she was currently wearing, and then hopped about as she wriggled into the dress, smoothing it, she used a ribbon as a handband, pulling her hair out of her eyes without disturbing her cut too much, she then found some shoes that were as excentric as the dress, slipping her feet into the heels, she trotted back to Garrett, the heels doing nothing to hinder her movement

She didn't bother with "enhancements" finding makeup more trouble then it was worth-and she often forgot she was wearing it anyway and generally disliked the feel of it. "I'm ready" She said happily, enjoying the simply colour of the dress, she twirled about, and flashed Garrett a grin.

Garrett dressed himself just as quickly. He wore a all black, sporting a slightly unbuttoned dress shirt and dress pants. He did not own anything super fancy or brand named. He normally had one look, and it suited it. Garrett smiled at Tabitha, basking in her ambiance.

"Wow.....you look amazing." Garrett offered her his hand. "Lets go cause some trouble."

Permission to cause trouble? Tabitha gave a soft laugh and took his hand, "I can do trouble" She said, excitedly, and she might very well have ran off, if she didn't remember she was wearing heels. A slight hinderance. "I think there was a night club near where I fed Callie"

Garrett scooped Tabitha up in his arms and laughed.

"Since your wearing heels, running might break them. Tell me where to go and ill run for the both of us."

Garrett leaned iin and kissed Tabitha lightly.

Would she ever get use to that? tabitha wondered, returning the kiss, she stared for a moment, trying to remember. "Um." She brought back the place she'd dragged Callie into, setting her down and grabbing as much food as she could to basically stuff Callie. She smiled, and told him the directions, nestled quite happily in his arms, she was a little glad her dress wasn't loose, not that anyone would catch anything when they were running.

Garrett followed Tabitha's directions, still getting lost a ew times. No matter how old he got, he would always be terrible with directions. Garrett would nearly run into several signs and pedestrians as he ran because everytime he would go the wrong way Tabitha would make a noise or squeal or grip him tighter. Anything to let him know he went the wrong directions.

Twenty minutes later, which is a very long time in vampiric speed terms, Garrett managed to find the correct club. He flashed to the entrance of the club, unnoticed by the wandering pedestrians.

"Yea so........my bad dear, I forgot how bad I am with directions."

Tabitha smiled, "It was still fun, and that's all that matters" She said brightly, looking about the club, there were people coming and going, seeming to be a popular place. The music was, Tabitha recognised, the more popular music these days for nightclubs, and everywhere it seemed there were people dancing, or drinking.

"Besides, sometimes getting lost gives you the best stories" She said, absently, looking back to Garrett, she tugged him further into the club, always fascinated by the atmosphere of them. It was...a little intoxicating for Tabitha, people just got so creative in their dancing when they had drank a bit. Her last turning had been in a night club, some years ago now, and it reminded her that she should check up on them.

"do you think they have that weird blue drink that was yummy from that place that time?"

Garrett raised an eyebrow and cleared his throat. "Yea that one blue colored drink from that one time from that one place at that one place. I clearly remember that."

Garrett walked over to the bar with Tabitha, and ordered a few different random blue drinks. When the bartender brought over their drinks, Garrett took one of the dozen and offered it to Tabitha. He also took one for himself.

"Confession, I dont know what your talking about. But lets see if we can try to jog your memory!"

Tabitha took the drink happily, apparently thrilled the drink was blue and that was it. She looked over the other drinks, "Thats okay, it was probalby like a billion drinks ago" She said with amusement, she took a sip of the drink, before just about downing the drink completely, never one to do things by halves. "Not that one but still yummy"{/color]

She studied the other drinks hard, but didn't recognise any of them, which probably didn't mean anything. Nor did she think it mattered. With these being the start, she figured smashing drank was definetely something that would happen.

She looked over the crowd, apparently obvlivious to the fact that even for a nightclub, what she was wearing was odd. She looked back to Garrett, finding herself simply just....happy. Which made her feel really, really good, swaying slightly where she was.

Garrett pounded back shot after shot, finsihing off the last bit of his own drinks then signalling for another round. His head was a little foggy but otherwise he was fine. He noticed Tabitha looking around. "Do you wanna dance now? Or wait for more alcohol?"

Tabitha reached out and took another drink, finishing it just as quickly as the first, "Lets dance, might take the bar tender a while to bring more"{/color] She said, staring a moment at the rest of her drinks, before deciding she could have more later. For once, she wanted to remember even a little bit, of a drinking night.

Garrett grabbed Tabitha's hand, and dragged her to the dance floor. For the next immeasurable amount of time they danced, Garret doing his own little akward moves and Tabitha being the wild one. Garrett tried to dance, but even he knew that what he called dancing was horrible. He could sing, play instruments, keep the rythm and make a beat but transfering all that to his feet was not one of his talents. Tabitha on the other hand was idderent.

Tabitha ended up dominating the dance floor. It started off innocent enough, but over time she began to dance even wilder, using her vampiric skills to move her body in tempting and insane ways. She only danced with Garrett though. She danced with him, around him, and at one point on top of him. But the entire time they had fun. The bartender kept putting together trays of drinks for them, which dissapeared just as fast as the bartender put them out.

Dancing was freeing. Tabitha just about lost herself in it, forgetting everything about not letting humans see that they were different, it was...dancing. There had been a time, when, over the last several centries, where she had tried to be a professional dancer. But she didn't really get with mainstream dancing, and besides, she often, like now, forgot to act normal. So she'd pursued other creative things.

She danced to whatever came into her mind, staying near Gerrett, she nevertheless cleared the floor unknowingly, not seeming to recognise just how strange, wild and alluring she was being, simply enjoying the dancing ,and enjoying trying to encorpurate Garrett into it.

When she grabbed drinks, she managed never to spill a drop, using her reflexes and grace to balance the drinks perfectly as she danced, never once seeming to pause, and as she set down a last drink-who knew how many drinks she'd drank-she spun back towards Garrett, exhilerated, she practically pounced on him.

Garrett caught Tabitha as she pounced, and spun her around in a circle. When he stopped he set her down but kept his hands on her hips. He reached over without looking and grabbed a random man dancing alone on the dance floor. It was dark and the only lights where the glow lights people had with them, so no one saw Garrett quickly strike the man unconscious and make a small cut on the mans neck. He leaned the man over closer to Tabith and allowed the spillage of blood land in Tabitha's mouth.

The blood was like it always was, a source of life, and Tabitha drank a couple of mouthfuls, while she couldn't say she enjoyed the taste, it was defintely something she craved, and she hadn't fed in some days. As it always did, it made Tabitha feel stronger, more powerful. She licked her lips to make sure she didn't have blood all over her face, for the nounce quite content with what she had drank.

"Its always so intoxicating"

Garrett in turn took his turn and drank the last bit of blood from the man. When he finished he dropped the man on the ground.

"We shou-should probably go. Fore they they realize the guy is dead."

Garrett led Tabitha to the back of the club, laughing and wiping the blood off his chin.

Tabitha swayed as they walked, not so much drunk as...overwhelmed with their night, their life. She kicked off the shoes, tucking them under one arm, she snatched another drink as they walked out, downing it almost as quick as she had grabbed it, setting the glass on a random surface, not even caring what the surface was, her thoughts wondering a little more then usual, from idea to idea to idea, yet found she wasn't going to run off. The ideas paled in comparison for once to what they were doing.

"That was fun, fun, fun." she said, twirling around Gerrett, "Smashing drunk, yet?"

Garrett took a few steps, but straightened up slightly. He wasnt smashed yet, but he wasnt sober at the very least. That made him feel extremley better. No daily worries, not Jackson problems, no Lucinda problems.........

Garrett looked over at Tabitha and felt such a pull towards her that he trembled with anticipation. Garrett forced Tabotha against the wall, and began kissing her. He let his tongue the inside of her mouth, and kissed her with a burning passion.

Tabitha smiled when Garrett looked over at her, a sudden almost shy smile that she had no idea where it came from, and she shiftetd as Garrett moved her against the wall, sudden sparks of desire, passion, need bombaring her senses as he kissed her, a little shocked at her response, kissing him back, she  slipped her arms around him, for a flickering moment, her mind tried to figure out the last time she'd done anything like this, before it simply surrenderred under the wash of desire.

Garrett picked her up by her waist, letting her legs wrap around him. Garrett wrapped his hand in a handful of her hair and yanked softly on it, allowing him to break the kiss and nibble on her neck. He kissed her neck up and down, returning back to her lips. He wanted her, and he wanted her bad. But suddenly the kiss was broken apart by Tabitha. It was a hard break apart, and she still clung to him, but for some reason she couldnt meet his gaze. Garrett tried to catch his breath and he rested his head against hers.

"Whats *pant* wrong *pant*?"

Tabitha didn't know where the sudden control came from, or perhaps she did as she clutched at Garrett, keeping her face turned just slightly away, she dind't know what she could say, and for a few moments, she was silent, she eventually met Garretts gaze. Just how could she explain? She gave a soft sigh. "its...nothings wrong. Its...me" She bit her lip, thoughtful. Despite practically being with Garrett and Lucinda all her life, Tabitha had a few secrets, and she tried to find the right words. "It is me. You make me feel...stuff I haven't felt in...centuraries" She glanced away again, "And...it...it scares me, because I don't want to lose someone so important again" she figured that that would just bring about more questions, and she wanted to sound...llike she knew what she was talking about. How could she explain, that she'd only loved one other person in her albeit long long long lifetime? She could still see his smile, and it made her heart ache, even as it yearned for Garrett.

Garret, Tabitha, Lucinda, Samuel

Alex watched Lucinda as she offered Claudia and Caius jobs as bartenders. She nodded at him to handle it and she walked out the front door of the bar. Lucinda began walking home. It was dark, 2am usually was, and she just wanted to be outside for a minute. She was distracted enough thinking about the last 24 hours that she didn't realize she wasn't alone any longer. Being that distracted was really not good for any woman alone at night but for one like her...It could really be dangerous.

Samuel sat in his chair in his room inside his new ww hq, and downed his glass of bourbon. Then he poured himself another drink. Since taking control he has enjoyed the perks of being Pack Alpha, one of them being able to have access to the good booze. Samuel sat back in his chair and pondered his thoughts. While he had a rather large pack, he needed a way solidify his position in the entire community. Too many strays roamed the streets, and there was that women who kept his attention. He needed to figure out a way to make it so she would assist his side if push came to shove, even if she was a vamp.

By the time Lucinda realized she wasn't alone she had another problem. The scent, it wasn't something she could discern right away. It smelled like a vampire and a werewolf. She was looking for two but when she realized there was only one she was slightly confused. She assumed that one of them took off. She had turned down her street but it was just at the beginning when she felt someone was following her. Lucinda turned around and saw something she didn't expect.

Samuel threw his glass against the wal unexpectedly, the glass shattering into tiny pieces. Samuel lifted the bottle of bourbon and drained it quickly. He stood up, slightly staggering, and decided he needed to do something. He was bored, and needed to have some fun. He left his plaza and wandered down the streets, looking for anything interesting.

Lucinda didn't know if she should be worried or not when she saw the wolf behind her. She didn't like to fight wolves. She was faster but they had better reflexes. She stared it down and when she spoke to it it just snarled at her. She wasn't scared but her instincts said to get ready to fight. "Please don't make me kill you, I'd rather not."

Samuel eyed a peculiar situation as he continued his random walk. He noticed Lucinda, and a Lycan he didnt recognize having a standoff of sorts. He figured watching could be just as fun here, jumping in at the last second could provide effortless entertainment.

This was a young wolf and she couldn't understand what would make a young wolf act so aggressively to a vamp let alone an original. She got ready to fight and as it jumped in the air to attack she ducked underneath it and grabbed it by it's neck and pulled back. She had it in checkmate almost instantly. "Shift to human I want to see who I'm fighting." When he did she practically threw him on the ground. He wasn't more than 15 or 16. "For god's sakes go home you are just a baby. You have no idea what you are doing." The kid looked at her and he tried to punch her and she yelled at him. "Stop it kid, I don't want to hurt you. Go home!" He wouldn't leave her alone and he kept trying over and over. "I'll give you an A for effort kid but your perseverance will get you killed. Now GO HOME!" She yelled as she hit him full force with a kick to the face. It knocked the kid out and she checked his pulse and made sure he was okay then she continued walking home.

Samuel waited until Lucinda had walked away, then walked over to the knocked out Lycan. He knelt down and got a better look at his face. Samuel, with no hesistation or remorse, then quickly swiped his hand across the young Lycans throat and watched as his life blood drained from his neck. Samuel looked and stood up, then followed the same path Lucinda took.

Lucinda a familiar scent not long after she left the kid. She stopped and didn't turn around. "Samuel? What do you want?" She turned around.

Samuel held his hands up and smiled as Lucinda noticed him. He walked over in front of Lucinda.

"Hey Gingersnap, kinda late to just be out wandering about huh?"

Instantly irritated with the "Gingersnap" nickname she said, "Not for me. Was that one of your wolf pups that tried to attack me a couple of minutes ago?"

Samuel shook his head. "No. Never met the kid myself, but he sure was arrogant huh? That or stupid. Doesnt matter though."

Samuel flashed a smile.

"Got room for company?"

Lucinda looked at him and feared what he meant "Was?" She looked around him and saw the pup on the ground and in the light she could see the blood from his neck pooled around his head.  Her heart sank as she saw the kid's body. "I can't believe you did that. Come on, I've got some booze that I could certainly use right about now." She walked with him and into her house.

Samuel followed Lucinda, and when they arrived at her house he was slightly.......surprised. He expected much more....luxury. This place seemed to be such a huge step down from the status that Lucinda gave off.

"You...you dont seriously live here do you?"

Lucinda smirked, "Well we do temporarily. I kinda bought this place sight unseen based on it's size. It will do, our other residences are definitely in better shape and more....luxurious, personal...this one will get their in time. So why did you kill the kid?" She asked pulling a cold bottle of vodka out of the fridge. She noticed that the fridge door was fixed. She had to thank whoever did that for her.

Samuel walked over to the counter and leaned against it. "I didnt know the kid, and he was just acting out of instinct, but I had to make him an example. I need to solidify my power and one of the biggest things that will prevent me from doing so is rogue Lycans that dont wanna join my pack. I dont need to kill all the rogues just most of them."

Samuel ran his fingers through his hair. "Hopefully this one example will be enough though."

Lucinda poured them both a glass and she handed him his. "So why were you on my street? I somehow doubt you were here for no reason at all. So were you looking for someone?" She took a drink of her vodka.

Samuel took his drink and drained the glass instantly, putting the glass down and laughing.

Whooo that was weak stuff. Ha. Anyways no yea thats what I was doing, I got bored and I really really hate being bored."

Lucinda grinned and said "Uh huh, Sure you were." She walked over to the couch and sat down after refilling their glasses. Taking off her shoes she smiled. "I did something tonight that I've only accomplished twice before, one of them was an accident. I know it sounds really lame but I turned into mist." Lucinda walked back to the counter and hopped up onto it so she was sitting closer to his height at least a little.

Samuel laughed. "Ha right! Mist! Oh your funny! Cmon if you wanna impress me you should go for a more believeable lie. I mean only the three Original Vampires can perform tricks like that."

Lucinda laughed at him and offered him her hand and said, "Yes, I did tell you my name is Lucinda Prescott. I'm surprised you didn't realize who I was then." Lucinda downed her glass again.

Samuel stood still for moments. His breathing halted, and he stopped thinking altogether for the moment. Then suddenly without warning he lunged at Lucinda, holding her waist and he began kissing her intensley. he lifted her up and he made them slam into the wall nearest to them as he kissed her, then began kissing up and down her neck. In between kisses he spoke.

"Thats it. Im done waiting. I want you......now."

Lucinda was half expecting to be attacked but not quite in that way. She giggled at first but it quickly became passion. He struck something in her that she hadn't felt before, ever. "We only met today. How could you have been waiting?" She said breathlessly while kissing him back. He was making her mind completely block everything out but there was a red flashing light in her head telling her he was her mortal enemy and she should be careful.

"Yea and the hours we didnt spend screwing our brains out was a complete waste."

Samuel kissed Lucinda back and walked them over to the couch. He threw Lucinda down on it and tore of his shirt and started unzipping his pants.

"Prepare for the beast Gingersnap."

The heat in Lucinda's eyes was enough to give her consent but she stood up  quickly. "Let's go to my room. I don't want anyone coming home and interupting us."

Samuel grinned and pushed Lucinda down on the couch. By now he was completley naked and he began ripping off Lucinda's clothes. "Let them, who cares? If they know whats best they will be able to understand not to come in before they even take a single step inside."

Samuel then unleashed himself on Lucinda, and they enjoyed themselves to the fullest completley ignoring their own senses that told them to be wary of each other.

Lucinda lost herself in Samuel and quite some time after they finished there were still in the living room but now on the floor as they had broken the coffee table during their intese lovemaking, she felt his heart slower as they calmed down. She noticed that he had his arm and leg on her possessively. She wondered if this was just a short term thing or if she could even consider anything else and why was he so obviously interested in her being an original. It occured to her that he had hit on her and kissed her before but the second he found out...well here they were. She looked at him and worried what trouble this would cause, especially if Garrett came through the front door.

Garrett was stunned. He realized in that moment that nothing in the last 1000 years had surprised him as badly as this turn of events. He never expected to realize his feelings for Tabitha, he never expected Lucinda would express herself for him as she did. And he never expected to be where he was Tabitha right now, and to find out he didnt know something so serious about someone in his family.

"What? You.....you loved someone before? Ive been at your side for over 1200 years and I never saw you express.....romantic interest. I mean sexual interest in others sure but not........"

Garrett rested his head against Tabitha's forehead.

"I guess its none of my buisness, but I....understand sorta. If you want to.....put this on hold......."

Tabitha was silent for a few moments, unmoving. She drew in a breath, letting the simple act sooth her, drawing in Garrett's scent. Finally, she said softly "It was centuries ago, and I didn't get there in time to save him from one plague or another. I can't remember which one. I didn't get to turn him. It was only a few weeks..." She stopped a moment, wondering how she couldn't remember which plague, but then moved on. "I don't want to do that"

Garrett took a step back and went to hold Tabitha's hands, but then halted from being unsure if it was the right thing to do. He crossed his arms and tried to look Tabitha in the eyes.  "You never told Lucinda or me that. Im sorry hun. The plagues were a dark time for all three of us. Lucinda lost a few boytoys I think, and no one wanted to party with me," Garrett said trying to lighten the mood but failing,"Do you want to go home?"

Tabitha hadn't wanted to tell anyone, at the time it had just been too painful. And then she'd thrown herself into one thing or another, and hadn't let herself think too much. She sighed softly as Garrett stepped back, but suppossed she had ruined the mood. She bowed her head slightly, "Sometimes we forget how much we can be affected by the events of the world. How much we can change. It was easier just...not thinking on it, and just...turning myself up a notch. It was easier focusing on the projects, then anything else"  A part of tabitha had just wanted to not feel, and letting her creative, excenttric nature overflow was easier, even if it made her seem odder and odder.

she drew in another breath, "We should go home...but...maybe we could watch the sun rise, first?"

"I would love to as long as its with you,"Garrett said smiling lightly,"But are you.....sure? I mean.....Im sorry but I need to ask. Watching the sunrise together would it be....a date? Just two Originals spending time together? I am...unclear on where we stand now and I while I get that time is needed for an official label.......I would appreciate any type of hint on where we stand now."

Tabitha seemed a little perplexed, by his words. Had she really messed things up that much? Maybe all the fiction novels she'd read were right. Maybe relationships were hard, because of all the different meanings. She pondered that thought a moment, getting slightly distracted. "Um. I didn't mean to change things-well obviously things will change...I mean..." She frowned over the words, getting herself tangled up in it all. She took a moment to align her thoughts, frustrated at herself. "I...it just didn't feel right....feel right to do anything...without you knowing" She paused again, as if replaying the words in her head to see if she had managed to say what she meant.

Satisfied with that, she closed the distance between them, now smiling, pleased with herself that she'd managed to figure that out and get it said without further tangling, "So...its a date"

Garrett reached down and held Tabitha's hand gently. He smiled, glad that they were not thrown completley off track. "Thank you. Thank you for sharing that with me, thank you for being honest, thank you for giving me a straight answer."

Garrett smiled. "I know a decent spot. Cmon lets go."

Garrett walked with Tabitha, not running or using their vampiric abilites, for a decent stretch of time and distance. A distance and time that would offput most people, unless they were vampires. But Garrett didnt care. He was lucky enough to be next to the greatest women he has ever known. "We can move at our own pace, and when your ready for any next level stuff we can figure it out. Together."

Garrett led them to a small out of the way nature trail. It was all but hidden unless you knew what you wer elooking for. Garrett led Tabitha to a small hill along the trail with a perfect view of what will be the sunrise. When they go tthere Garrett sat down and propped himself up on his elbows. He looked at tabitha and smiled. "This little spot is an old little secret I paved way for. Far as I know the only people who use it nowadays are highschoolers and stoners. But it is a little late/early for anyone else to be here."

Tabitha plopped herself beside Garrett, happily letting herself lean back against him, and listened as he spoke about the spot. She could see why it would be popular for teenagers, who apparently liked being outdoors but still have the privacy of this place. Heck, it attracted her for the same reasons. She smiled, letting her gaze roam over the sky as it slowly transitioned from night to day. She had always loved the moment the sun began to rise, it just seemed magical. "Its a wonderful spot" She said, "And the perfect time"

When the sun began to rise, she lost herself in the colours. It was always stunning to her, even after all the sunrises she had seen. Goodness knows how many that was over 1200 years. For a moment, she tried to figure that out, before giving up, and curling slightly closer to Garrett. While she knew they were weakened during the day, she was glad they could still feel the sun's rays. She didn't think she could have lived in a world without it.

"Its perfect"

Garrett didnt feel the same way as Tabiths but he did his best not to show it. He did not understand the fascination with the sun, rising or setting, staying in place, the sun was the sun. It was their mortal enemy, since they were vampires, and he hated the very sight of it. But in a way he also understood that he admired the sun. He understood how science explained it, but at the same time he looked at it in his own way. The sun was their enemy, but it was a symbol as well. It was power in its raw form, life, energy, and so much more. He felt the heat on his skin, could feel as it reflected off of it and refused to warm him. He felt it without feeling it.

Garrett was happy though that Tabitha was happy. It was what he wanted more than anything.

Tabitha found she didn't want to move, even after the sun had risen. But she knew they should, to at least not worry Lucinda, and so she sighed softly, "We should head home" She just hoped that Lucinda wouldn't be in a bad mood from the day before. And she had to get back to check on Callie too. The witch had slipped her  mind for a time, but she hoped that Callie hadn't got into any trouble.

Madison and Mako

@kyrisse@king tai@dabombjk@Wick@rumikoohara@venku

Mako led his new Lycan companion to their next destination. He needed to contact his family, or more specifically his eldest brother, and give them a status report. That was the routine. Mako walked with Madison, who was angrily walking behind him, to what seemed to be a random antique store. It was very old, the owner even older, and the name was barely recogniseable. "Mystiq Antiques". Mako walked in and the old women who owned the store greeted them silently. She looked at them and opened her palms to them as if she was begging.

Mako walked up to the counter. "Please take what I offer,"Mako said resting his hands in the owners open palms,"I offer my continued friendship."

The owner quietly bowed and Mako returned his hands to his pockets. He turned to Madison. "I need to make a call. I will be gone for a few minutes."

After that Mako walked behind the counter and through a door behind it, into a room with a single table and a bowl and a small chest on the table.

Madison had no choice but to follow Makom and that irritated her, muttering to herself. Maybe she could shift, and rip his throat out, but a part of Madison knew that she probably wouldn't be able to harm him. Which just made her more mad. Maybe...she pondered her line of thought for a moment, but ultimately let that slide. For now. She watched Mako interact with the woman, and then just leave her there. She glared, and refusing to be set aside, she stepped closer to the door, glancing at the woman.

The women watched Madison silently but chose to do nothing. Mako stood at the table, taking out a few items, ingredients, and placing them in the bowl. What Mako was doing was setting up a private crystal communication line. Unless you were in earshot of either party there would be no way to magically eavesdrop. Mako crushed a few roots, placed them in the bowl, then chanted a few unintelligent words. He picked up the crystal and focused.

"Brother? Brother its me, Mako."

"Mako good to hear from you, what do you have to report? Did you catch the murderer?"

"No brother but I have made inquiries and I have leads. I am currently working alongsde with a Lycanthrope who has a eye and nose for hidden details."

"A werewold? Dammit Mako you're so freaking weird!......But whatever gets thise case solved the better. Hurry up and find the supernatural killer or regular hunter or whatever thing it is that commited the havoc that was wreaked."

"Yes Br-"

"Listen we cannot have people dying left and right right now. And we cannot spending too many resources on this. In a week Micheal will arrive and the ceremony will begin. Whoever started up trouble will more than likely want to intervene on our families comings and goings if they found out what we are doing."

"Ye-"

"Find the killer or killers, bring him to me, and make sure your investigations stay secretive."

Suddenly the crystal in Mako's hand stopped glowing, signalling the end of the call. Mako begin packing awya the matierals he used in the box on the table.

Madison was always glad for her increased senses. As she relaxed, letting herself focus on the room, she decided there hadn't been much worth to listen into, unless it was some sort of code, but that seemed unlikely. But why would the warlock be hunting what was likely an Original Killer, on someones orders? Who was powerful enough to do that, aside from the originals themsevles? And what ceremony? She stepped back from the door so it wouldn't seem like she was listening in, glancing about the store as if that was what she had been doing the whole time, pondering what she had overheard.

She could put an end to this foolishness right now, but she suspected Mako would want proof. And she doubted the Originals would be so sloppy as to leave damning clues that could be traced back to them. They were over a thousand years old, after all. It seemed like that conversation had just given Madi more questions to answer. And she always got her answers.

Mako walked out of the room and thanked the old women. He motioned for Madison to follow him. When they walked out of the store he turned to her. "We have clues and we have theories, but tell me what it is your thinking."

Madison sighed. She didn't really have a choice if she wanted her freedom back. "I'm thinking how stupid this whole thing is, because you can never take down an Original Vampire" She said wearily, "They're too old, too powerful, too skilled, and they are typically untouchable. And if you go after them, you'll get yourself killed. Which will just get me killed, and then I'll have to kick your ass in the afterlife"

"We still do not have solid evidence that the murderer is an original. I have heard your theory, and while it isnt dismissable we cannot simply assume. We need to gather more clues, invetsigate more. Lets go back tom the bar, Mystiq."

Mako looked at Madison oddly. "And I do not believe you can fight in the after life. Furthermore I know what will happen to my spirit once it departs from my body. You will be un able to reach it. But even if you could I do not know of any history of where ghost fought each other as your suggetsing." Mako said this matter of factly taking her statement at face value.

Madison didn't know how she didn't roll her eyes at Mako, but she managed to control herself. Just barely. Exasperated, she said "Jeez, did you miss getting a sense of humor when God was passing them out to all the little babies born with you in the world?" She shook her head, "Although now I just find a way to make history and do it" She sighed, because she had been right. He would want proof. And she probably-most definetely-couldn't get such proof.

"Well. I think the bars called Bite Me, now"

Salazar's demise

Mako and Madison went to investigate more. They went back to the alliey, went to the bar, and even witnessed the massacre of the Salazar faction.

When Mako and Madison went to the bar they arrived in time to witness a strange looking man, a Lycan as it will be known, communicatiing with Lucinda. This confirmed Maidson's theory for Mako. Even Mako knew that when an Original rolled into town, more than likely all three would come and death would follow. Mako cast an invisbility spell over himself and Madison, only seeable to eachother. Mako and Madison hid while they watched the Lycan Samuel ripped of Salazar's head.

Madison watched the scene, disgusted. She couuldn't imagine why the werewolf had done that, despite the greivences between their two races, it seemed a rather violent way to assert your dominance, and thats what this wolf was doing. She was in fact a little ashamed to be apart of the same race as this werewolf.

She knew this would change her life, somewhat. She doubted this werewolf would allow strays, and that was really what she was. She had no pack, no alpha, but her own choice. She didn't want to conform to an alpha she didn't like, nor go against her own moral standards.

As the scene played out, Madison made sure to stay near Mako, not because she felt safer, but because it seemed like the logical choice. Even though she wanted to go and interfer, she knew she was too small, and not quite skilled enough to do any serious damage to the werewolf. God, he made her feel like a pup again. Shaking her head, she sighed and said softly, "She's one of the original, and that wolf is just...dispicable. You won't find your evidence here"

Mako nodded. He agreed with her. He needed to somehow prove that this Original, or one of the others, was responsible for all the murders and all the chaos. But then two more figures showed up, a man and a women, the man very visibly distraught over the death of Salazar. They appeared after the brutal massacre of all of Salazars vampires.

"Who are the two newcomers?" Mako asked Madison.

Madison studied the figures, while there weren't many descripts of the originals, their scent, and indeed the way they moved, often gave them away. And one couldn't deny the utter...beauty the three held, the power and grace. When you knew what you were looking for, it was easy to see. And Madison was nothing if not a good eye for detail.

"They would be the other two Originals. That would be your first look at the Prescotts. A little daunting, don't you think? My guess is, the wolf wants to rule. And killed one of their spawn. I don't imagine that will curry any favors with them. I'd say this town is on the brink of war. So if you want to find your proof...I'd do it soon"

Mako looked at the two newcomers with interest. So all three Originals were here, and were more than likely the ones who have been causing the beginning ruckus that started his investigation. Now a new element, Samuel, was introduced. Mako looked at the situation with no emotion or humor.

"This is starting to look like more trouble than we realized. So all three Originals are here, plus a new pack Alpha that has taken a good amount of vampire territory. If he continues he will move in on the witches territory."

Mako sighed. He could learn no more for now. He would not be able to kill the Originals, at least not now, and it seemed as if Samuel would be unable to be eliminated without mutliple casualties. And news coverage would be over the entire scene. Mako looked at his chained companion.

"That is enough for the night. We need to reinvigorate ourselves, sleep on this, then tackle the problem in the morning. We can use a motel."

As Mako started walking away with Madison, still invisible while in the eyesight of the originals and wolves, he spoke softly. "At least now we have a good idea of our culprits. We just need to narrow down who is the one who killed our victim, and we need to make sure that we can limit the damage they do."

Madison followed, because what choice did she have? She found that Mako was quite delusional. Do damage to the originals? that seemed unlikely. She stayed silent however, letting him talk, it seemed that she would be with this until he either decided it was over, or not. But one thing was for certain, Madison was not going anywhere near that brute of a wolf. She had no desire to be apart of a pack that was led by such an...ass. She waited until they were away from the scene, prefering first to make sure they weren't going to be caught out.

"I think you have set yourself an impossible task. No one can touch the originals."

Mako and Madison walked to the nearest motel, where Mako paid for a room. When Mako walked into their room he saw that all the necessary items a warlock would need was in a special box on one of the two beds. When he had paid he had discreetly let it be known he was part of the Novak family. Mako walked in and sat on his bed.

"My family is one of the most powerful covens currently, and anything can die. You just need to know where to push, bend, and break. Oh yes I almost forgot."

Mako waved his hand, and suddenly the chains around Madison became visible then broke then dissapeared.

"Your free to leave if you want, or stay if you if you choose. The room service is complimentary if you should choose to stay."

Madison shook her head, and sighed. Honestly, it was like dealing with a little kid. "People have tried to kill the originals before, it hasn't worked. It doesn't matter if you're a powerful coven, they are more so" She was relieved as the chain broke, and she paused for a moment. She had said she'd kill him, once she was free, but now it didn't seem like she would need to. One of the originals would. Still, she could save the world a lot of trouble and do it herself....

Madison leaped, not shifting, because she didn't want to be liable for the damages that would do to the room, but she leaped powerfully towards Mako, a part of her merely wanting to see what he would do.

Mako nearly vanished and appeared on the opposite side of the room. He said and stretched his muscles in his neck, shoulders, and hands. "Please dont. Every time you try to assault me a pre programmed charm activates and teleports me a few feet away. It.....strains my muscles every time. Why not assist me, further my investigation and see this through to the end?"

Madison sighed. She hadn't really thought her leap would land, so she wasn't really disappointed. She glanced over and glared. "You chained me like a dog, and that is more offensive then anything you could ever do. Your butt deserves to be kicked" She tried to put anger into her tone, but there really wasn't any point. It was clear he wouldn't understand that.

Mako cocked his head to the side. "But....you are very dog like. Why would this upset you. You'er a Lycanthrope. And I told you I needed your nose and eyes."

Madison stared at him exasperated. "Just because I am a werewolf doesn't mean I am a dog." She threw her hands up, shaking her head, "I'm a human being that is supernatural, not a wolf dog you can control. How would you like it if someone controlled you, with a chain about your neck?"

Mako blinked a few times. "I would never allow that to happen. I am a very powerful warlock capable of unimaginable feats."

Mako walked over to Madison and offered his hand.

"It seems as if we got off on the wrong foot. Let us start over. My name is Mako Novak, a member of the Novak Coven."

"That doesn't give you the right to chain someone up, to take away their free will, and then not see how wrong you are" she wanted to hit him, wanted to beat the hell out of him, but that didn't seem possible. Instead, she picked up somthing random, and threw it towards him, furious.

She wasn't ready to play nice. She didn't care what clan he was from-it meant nothing to her. She glared at him, baring her teeth.

Mako looked at Madison, puzzled. 'People continue to confuse me. I do not wish to banter with you, especially when it seems tensions are high. What will it take to convince you to work with me?"

It was like dealing with a little child who didn't know why they were wrong. There was no arguing with that. She rubbed her eyes, and shook her head. "I don't think there is anything" How could she say she couldn't work with someone she couldn't trust wouldn't chain her?

Mako scratched his head, then his eyes lit up. He walked over to his bed and pulled out a few items. He laced string through a small metal band with a blue yellow gem inside it, then chanted a few words over the necklace. He walked over and offered it to Madison.

"This is a makeshift Hamsa, an egyptian warding necklace. I will need time tonight and more matierals for a permanent one, but for the night you can wear this. This makes you immune to mind controlling and energy chaining magic. Meaning no one can bind you or sway you. You can be disintigrated or maimed still, but you will have your wits about you."

Madison frowned, unsure of why Mako was offering her this magic. It must be  terribly costly to do, and she couldn't puzzle that out. But it did mean she couldn't be chained again, and that was something she couldn't refuse. She took the necklace, narrowing her eyes at him, "This doesn't mean you are forgiven"]/color]

Mako stared blankly at Madison. Then he cleaned up his matierals and organized the rest of the items he would need to finish the promised product. "If you feel I owe you a debt of some sort, I am sure in the future it shall be repayed. Does this mean you will stay?"

Madison didn't see how she could, for the moment refuse. Sighing wearily, she went over to the other bed. It wasn't like she had anywhere she had to be, or indeed anyone she had to call. She settled herself on the bed, not saying anything.

Surprise, Respect and a Hybrid

@caits@dabombjk

Garrett and Tabitha had agreed that it was time to go home, and they took a big longer than usual to arrive home. They simply walked slowly and enjoyed each others company. When they arrived home, it only took a a moment to detect the stench of wolf and......"Dear unholy abomination...Tabitha....you smell that as well.....you dont think.....?"

Tabitha stopped when they got near the house, frowning. As Garrett spoke, she stepped towards the front door, "Seems likely, based on the smell" She said, looking over to Garrett, a little worried.

Garrett moved ahead of Tabitha and rushed into the house. When he walked inside, it only took a few steps forward before he was in sight of the living room, where Lucindas and Samuels naked figures were laying on the ground. Garrett recoiled and bolted back outside to Tabitha.

"*Pant* Sh-She *cough and choke and cough* ugh Tabby......she bedded Samuel!"

Tabitha watched Garrett run in, wondering if she should follow, but before she could decide, Garrett was back. She knew she should be surprised at the turn of events, but a part of her wasn't. She was however both disturbed and disappointed that Lucinda could bed the person that had killed Jackson.

"then lets go wake them up" She said, making her way to the door and opened it, with a loud bang as if she had accidenty slammed it opened, instead of deliberately. "Lucy! We're home"

Samuel woke up with a start, all but jumping and hovering over Lucinda in a protective stance. He realized where he was a moment later and groaned. "Gingersnap looks like we have company."

Samuel stood up with his clothes in hand and started putting on his clothes, undergarments and pants first.

Garrett walked in after Tabitha, and sat at the table next to the counters across from the living room. He did not look at Lucinda or Samuel.

Lucinda grabbed her shirt and turned away from the eyes of Garrett while she pulled her clothing on quickly. She looked at Samuel and took his hand in hers and she took a deep breath and looked at Garrett. "Alright, you might as well get it off your chest Garrett."

Garrett looked at Lucinfda when she spoke. He hid his emotions behind a blank face, and his eyes gave nothing away. Garrett looked at Tabitha, at her obvious expression on her face. Garret stood up and walked over to where Samuel and Lucinda was standing. He took a second, not speaking, just going over the entire scene with his eyes. He raised his hand..................

And he ran his fingers through his hair.

"I said it once before that your beef with Jackson is none of my buisness. You killing him.......hurt me but Jackson was an adult. He made his own choices. Ill admit you suprised me Lucinda, but things between us have been tense enough. I love you Lucy, and if Samuel makes you happy then that is enough for me."

Piper was getting out of the cab in front of the house. She sniffed the air and knew there were a lot of supernaturals in the area. She headed into the house and ran smack into a family squabble of sorts. She stood there a moment next to Tabitha and gave her a hug first. "Hi Aunt Tabby." She looked at Garrett and Lucinda and curiously at Samuel.

Lucinda ignored the door and looked at Garrett suspisciously. ""Ok, not what I would have expected...but ok. " She looked at Samuel and waited to see if he would say anything.

Samuel scoffed and flipped Garrett off. He still was only wearing his pants. "Dude you sound like a total pussy. "Aw boo hoo sappy sap blah blah". Dude seriously your suppose to be some ancient horrific creature of the night. And your legends say how of the three you're supposed to be the badass party beast."

Samuel reached over and grabbed a scoop of Lucinda's ass and brought her closer to him,

"You annoy me. I am with Lucinda now, and I think three Originals is too much."

Tabitha hugged Piper back, but kept her gaze on the scene, she listened intently, and in a blur of movement, she dashed forward and punched Samual, "Garrett might be content, but I'm not. Lucinda deserves a lot better then an ass like you" She said furiously, not seeming to be phased that Samual was nearly two feet taller then her.

Lucinda was not too happy with Samuel's proclamation and making her look like a piece of ass instead of a person but she would take that up with him later. She looked up in time to see Piper speed over and knock Samuel out of the way just as Tabitha's punch landed. It glanced off of him and Piper growled aggressively. "THAT'S ENOUGH! We are family here. If Luce decides this..." she sniffed and looked at Lucinda oddly. "Wolf is her man then so be it. We are not fighting against each other!"

Garrett watched the scene, a small grin slightly formed at the corner of his mouth. He reached over and gently placed a hand over Tabitha's hand. He closed the distance between them, to let her know he was there.

Samuel's head was turned slightly from the slight force of the blow but he was barely fazed. He smiled and turned back to face the rest of the group. He looked at Piper with more interest than the rest. "Well hello little miss. Thanks for the help, you're fast. But help me out I can seem to make heads or tails of what you are?"

Lucinda smiled at that. "This is Piper, my hybrid daughter. She is werewolf and vampire. She is also very protective of her family." Lucinda hugged Piper and then went back to looking at Garrett. "Can you handle this Garrett?"

Piper watched Garrett and Tabitha and they gave off a certain vibe that made her brow crinkle. "Wait, are you two together?" She pointed at Garrett and Tabitha.

Tabitha wasn't happy that Piper intervened, She only didn't do anything else to not, for the moment, displease Piper. The argument was valid, but only if you actually considered Samuel any sort of family. Which she didn't. She knew she couldn't do much, without it eventually hurting Lucinda, which annoyed her.

She was about to say something, when Piper spoke again. She blinked, glancing over to her, clearly distracted now, and said "Yes"

Piper blinked her eyes a little oddly. She knew where Lucinda's feelings had been for a long time. She looked at Lucinda and took her hand and stood next to her.

Garrett looked at Piper and gave her a slight head nod. "Piper its been......I dont know how long has it been? Have you been practicing the instrument I gave you?"

"Yes, I have ." Piper responded to Garrett.

"Good good. And have you been keeping up with your studies as well?"

"My studies? No, I'm not in school. What studies are you talking about?" Piper noticed that Samuel was watching her and she wondered if he had a pack or if he were a loner.

Garrett shrugged. "I dont know, I just felt as if that was something appropriate to say."

Samuel laughed. "Relax grandpa, she can do whatever she wants. Seems like she has a fire in her you couldnt squash. Aint I right kid?"

Piper felt like she was in a weird episode of one of those family centered shows on tv that never quite seemed real. She looked at Samuel her eyes flashing and a little angry with his disrespect. "I dont know who you are but I would appreciate it if you would show respect for my family. If you don't then this won't work out well for you."

Samuel chuckled again. "Little pup, you have a long way before you have the strength to make me do anything. But....if you wanted.....my pack is always wanting fresh blood. If you ever wanna join a pack hit up the Wolf Plaza, formerly the Salazar plaza."

Garrett frowned. "Wait a moment. I said I am fine with this,"he said pointing to Samuel and Lucinda,"But not the rest of my family Samuel. You have a long way to go before you have permission to do such a thing, if ever."

"Seriously?" Lucinda asked Garrett. "Why would that even matter to you? Piper is an adult and she is my progeny not yours." Lucinda stepped forwards and questioned him. "If she wants to join his pack she can do so. It's not up to either of us. It's her decision." Piper agreed and nodded.

Piper said, "I've been looking to find a pack lately but I wanted to wait til we got here and settled in first. I'll give it a go." She looked at Samuel and Lucinda and said, "Okay you guys are all kinda freaking me out. I'm taking off for a while." She threw her bags into the first room in the hallway and took off out the front door.

Garrett threw his hands in the air and walked back towards the kitchen. He made himself a drink and leaned against the counter.

"Thanks Lucinda, real fucking mature."

Samuel growled. "Watch yourself. Dont talk to her like that."

Garrett drank his drink quickly. "And what are you going to do about 'Pup'?"

"What was that crack about?" Lucinda shook her head really unsure if this could work out without splitting her family apart. She looked at Samuel. There was something about the rude overbearing guy that she liked and well, the sex was phenominal. She sighed and looked at Garrett. "Hey we are good as far as I'm concerned here. As far as Piper, she makes her own decisions." Lucinda turned to Samuel and put her hand on his chest lightly. "Come on, let's go. Don't let him provoke you."

Garrett's glass suddenly exploded in his hand. "Seriously? Me provoke him?"

Samuel walked over and got right in Garretts face. "Just looking at your face provokes me enough."

Tabitha had been trying hard to keep silent, but that was quite hard to do. "You're being unfair, Lucinda, You can't expect to bring him in here, without effectively provoking this yourself. What did you expect? Sunshine and butterflies?" She shook her head wearily, Tabitha had, over the years, generally tried to not take sides, simply because...she never could decide. She sighed, and rubbed her eyes, not as if she were tired, but merely to help her focus. There was so much she'd rather be doing then this. "Its not just because he's a wolf, or even what he's done. But you're asking a lot, without expecting him to give anything." She deliberately chose not to address Samuel in any way, deciding that if she had anything to do with him, she would punch him again, and this time she'd make sure she was faster then Piper, if she was around.

"Tabitha, I am not saying that Samuel won't have to respect the family. However at this moment we haven't had a chance to speak privately so for now I would appreciate everyone getting off my case. It's a new relationship. We've all had to live with each other's past relationships and the issues that arose from them. I'm sure Garrett remembers the issues we've had with his previous girlfriends."

Garrett scoffed, but did not move. He wasnt going to be the one who backed down now. The women didnt understand, couldnt understand, but he knew. Samuel knew. This was a deciding point in their future. Whoever back down now........Garrett spoke while still staring Samuel down.

"Oh please. You have always been over critical of anyone I have bedded. The only women you never had a problem with was Siranna Holiday."

Samuel growled a deep, low pitch growl that came from the base of his throat.

"That's because I thought she was worthy of you. I could have seen her as one of us. You could have married her and I'd have been happy about it. But the others.....they didn't fit." Lucinda squeezed Samuel's hand comfortingly. "I expect you to give Samuel a chance."

Garrett glanced at Tabitha, realizing none of that could have been easy to hear. He looked back at Samuel but talked to Lucinda. "I am willing to give him a chance, but he cannot just come into our home and try to do...this."

Garrett threw a hand up in the air when he spoke.

"He insults me, he treats you with no respect, and he is clearyl trash. I dont believe he is a good fit for you."

Samuel winded his right fist back and threw a punch at Garrets jaw.

Lucinda jumped and caught Samuel's fist in hers. She said "Samuel I need to speak with you privately NOW." She tugged on his hand and urged him outside with her.

Once outside she lead him to the swing on the back porch and sat down and tugged him down with her. Lucinda looked him in the eyes and chose her words carefully. "If you act the way he is describing our relationship won't work. I think we can be more, a lot more but it's going to take some work. If you can't put in the effort let me know now. I don't want to find out after I've fallen so hard for you that it breaks my heart."

Samuel scoffed and looked away. "You've got me all wrong Gingersnap. Im here to run this town, and I want my best girl at my side when I do. But doing that, its just to entertain me and alleve the boredom. Im gonna act how I act and talk how I talk. Im not going to change majorly for any reason. I like me, I think I am pretty great. So let me say this."

Samuel looked Lucinda in the eye.

"Lucinda.....You either join me and take your place at my side in ruling this city, or you dont. I am not saying that you need to go against your family. Quite the opposite. So long as they dont oppose my rule we will get along famously."

Garrett sighed and sat on one of the chair at the counter. He rubbed his temple and looked at Tabitha. "Sorry Tabby. That couldnt have been easy."

Lucinda was in shock at what he said. "Are you telling me that you intend to rule over the vamps and the wolves and you basically hope to make that easier by being with me to help you gain rule over the vamps? And you expect me to be okay with you being disrespectful to everyone, even me?"

There had been a lot that Tabitha had been about to say, but the talk had continued, and she stood there a little dejected, unsure what to do, or say, She glanced over as Garrett spoke. She wasn't upset because of the mention of his past relationships-she knew about them after all, but rather that...she hadn't been mentioend. "Its okay" She said softly.

Garrett stood up and walked over to Tabitha. "So coming home was a mistake I guess. But here we are. I know what we can do now. One of your projects! I wanna help out!"

Samuel shook his head. "No I never said that. But if you think about it like that it makes sense. It is only right that the mightiest Vampire stands with the mightiest Werewolf. But thats besides the point. No I dont care about that whole making easier thing. Fuck that. I will bend every supernatural community under my thumb," Samuel said with a fire in his eyes,"and I never tried to be disrespectful to you. I simply act out of feelings. Lycans are like that."

Lucinda sat there and she was glad it was dark out. She closed her eyes a moment and she said "I'm sorry, I can't help you to "bend" them to your rule. I won't. It's wrong. I...had really thought we could be..." She looked at him and she got up to go back inside. "Piper acts like Lycans most of the time. Highly emotional and spontaneous but she is respectful and kind too." Lucinda wiped a few tears from her eyes and she looked up at the moon. "I'm sorry."

Meanwhile Piper was sitting at a park on the swings just enjoying the night and thinking about the craziness at the house.

Tabitha managed a smile, and thought a moment, "Maybe the garden, then?" She said, still a little troubled, but willing to get into it.

Garrett took Tabitha's hand and walked towards the garden. Before they got there Garrett spoke. "Again I am sory about that. I just wanted you to know that I dont care what anyone says, I believe in us. You arent just some lay to me, and I really do believe in a future for us."

Samuel stood up and spoke while looking at Lucinda. "Too bad. Never said you had to help, I just litterally wanted you literally by my side. And im sure Piper is super sweet around you. But she is a true Werwolf even if she is part vampire. I can smell it she respond smore to the wolf blood in her. If you ever decide you're done being dramatic you know where to find me."

Samuel arched his back suddenly and within moments he had transformed. He howled at the moon then ran off.

Tabitha curled her hand around Garretts, and she gave a nod. "That makes me feel better. Because I do too" She said softly, looking over the grounds, she tilted her head, thoughtfully. "Maybe we could do a gazebo?"{/color]

Lucinda walked inside and heard Garrett's voice and turned around and went after Samuel. He was easy to track and she stopped in front of him in his lycan form. " Forget what I said. I want to give us a shot."

Piper looked around and took her clothes off in the park and hid them in the bushes. She transformed and howled and took off running in the wooded area and all through the local area.

Garrett laughed. "We can. But I dont know what a gazebo is! What about like a....like a....damn Im not very creative. What about one of those things one of those bed things that you attach to two poles and can swing side to side in?"

Samuel ran until he was almost back to his plaza. He ran across rooftops and climbed up buildings. He was almost home when Lucinda found him and stopped him. He transformed back into his human form, naked as the day he was born. "Oh so you do now? What changed your mind?"

The small amount of sunlight from the sunrise made the dark hair man flinch. He hated the sunlight, it was revealing and illuminating. He was a creature of the night, a fearsome predator, someone who could not be bothered to have his face shined upon. He had traveled a long way to the city of Elyria, and he had one objective. Well he had multiple objectives but his master had allowed him to achieve his personal venganence first. He wore his black coat and black V neck shirt, with his blue jeans and black boots. He had a arsenal of hidden knives and weapons that could easily be wielded in an instant. Being an assassin, he had to be prepared for anything and everything.

"Nothing will stop me. I have trained for this for so long. I am strong. I am fast. I am silent. Bring on anything I am ready. Even if a random naked werewolf was to attack me I would be ready," The young man called Grant Holiday said softly to himself.

Tabitha gave a laugh, "A hammock" She said with amusement, and for a moment she was quite happy, "And a gazebo is...like a....a...shelter thing that is pretty" She said, frowning a moment, unable to describe it fully. "But we could put a small pond near it with fish" Happily, Tabitha began to walk, twirling around the yard and trying to figure out where things should go

Garrett watched Tabitha, happy they could move on. He watched as she twirled around, and he pointed at a few things. "We should get a blood fountain over there. And a shack filled with.....I dont know......supplies. Like...I mean I dont normally swim but lets say we got a pool. Or picnic stuff."

Lucinda stepped forward and kissed him passionately. "You did. When you left it hurt me so much. I want to give us a chance and see where it goes. Is that okay with you?"

Piper was running and came upon a somewhat hidden pond and she transformed back into her human self. She knelt down to get a drink. Hearing something she transformed back and hid in the bushes. When the young man walked past her her nose recognized him as vampire and she jumped in the air at him. Her attack was perfect. She landed on his chest and growled at him. She looked at him and transformed back to her human self. She looked at his eyes as she turned human and naked on his chest.

Samuel accepted the kiss but held Lucinda's shoulders. "Never wanted to not give us a chance Lucinda. But like I said I dont plan on changing. I have my own goals. My own ambitions. You dont need to help, but dont try to stop me."

Tabitha listened as Garrett suggested a few things, letting her mind create what she saw, she crouched and without a care in the world, began to sketch in the dirt. it was by no means permenant, but it was necessary to get down what she saw, she found it easier to think of more things like that, and she quickly figured out measurements, working it out easily, leaning back thoughtfully "How big does a herb garden have to be?"

Lucinda nodded and put her arms around his waist and hugged him to her. "ok." Lucinda said.

Grant literally had never in his wildest dreams expected something like this. He said he was ready, but he couldnt have been more wrong. A, somewhat beautiful and irresistable, naked just jumped him so Grant in all his sense did the only logical thing he could do. He tried to get up and run away. But he couldnt. He looked in to the strange girls eyes, and suddenyl everything else that wasnt her was so far away it was like they were on another planet and they were the only inhabitants. Grant hardly even noticed she was naked, with only a slight throbbing reminder down under that kept his mind from forgetting she was in fact very naked. And on top of him.

"Um....Hi."

Piper looked into Grant's eyes and as she changed back into human form she saw something she liked in the and seconds after she was human she just lay on top of him and kissed him. She smiled when he seemed a little embarrassed. "Hello."

Garrett shrugged his shoulders and coughed once into his hand. He hated how even after 1200 years he was still horrible after calculations like this. Ask him to calculate fighting odds and strategies no problem. Need to build a shed? Shit out of luck. "I um....yea like maybe....kinda big?"

Tabitha pondered that a moment, thoughtful. "You're probably right" She quickly drew something in before standing, "Now comes the labour" she said cheerfully, liking the whole get in and do it yourself thing. And with Garrett, it was bound to go faster.

Grant blushed and was almost instantly flustered. He wanted to fight it or do something more of his nature but he couldnt. He could only lay there. Confused. Kinda horny. But mostly confused. "I um....think you might have....bumped into me on accident...naked."

Piper got up and jumped into the lake. "You should come in and not be so uptight." She dove under water and disappeared for a moment. When she came up she emerged fully out of the water and walked straight to him. "Seriously? Are you that shy? I mean, you have seen a naked woman before right?"

Garrett sighed. "Yay, manual labor. I better get a reward for this." Garrett stood next to Tabitha and waited. "Ok so....what I dig a hole now?"

Tabitha smiled cheerfully "Oh, I think I can think of a reward" She said, glancing down at her drawning, "Hm. No, no hole needed yet" She said thoughtful. There was always a good place to start, "Maybe we can start with the hammock"[/color[

Grant shook his head, to get him out of the funk of his state of mind. Grant eyed Pipers body and stripped naked. He ran past her and back flipped into the water. He rose up and floated in the water. "Im fine. Water is nice and warm."

Piper laughed as he jumped into the water. She ran back in and jumped in. There were times that she could almost forget that she was a vampire. Swimming up to him she said, "So what is your name and why are you in the woods?"

Garrett nodded. "OK so a hammock is cloth, string, maybe some metal, and a few trees. We have trees,"Garrett said waving at all the trees in the area. "If you can go find blankets and pillows and sheets, without ripping holes or drawing on them, I can get a hammock started."

Tabitha nodded, and trotted off, spedding away she found what was needed, carefully gathering them up and returning in mere moments, skipping back and holding them as she approached Garrett again, "Done" She said cheerfully

Garrett had used his speed to gather matierals and began trying to create his dream hammock. But he was unsuccessful from the start. He had ended up with the string not being tight enough and the metal too heavy, along with almost split in half trees. He turned around to see Tabitha and could only shrug innocently.

Grant looked Piper in the eyes, and for a moment he almost didnt answer her, but something about her made him want to be open. "My name is Grant, and im here for patricide. Nothing major really. Asshole father abandoned me and my mom so I am gonna kill him," Grant said shrugging indifferently.

Tabitha couldn't help herself, she laughed softly, and said "Maybe I should try"[/color} She gathered the materials, studied what she had to work with, and then nodded, and without hesitation, she began to create the hammock, always careful with her strength, she was somewhat gently as she proceeded to make it, soon stepping back, she said "I've had lots of practice being careful, and creative"

"Patricide huh? Well that sounds terrible. Who is this horrible father?" Piper knew he was a vamp and she knew he didn't know that she was too. Something about him pulled her to him and she could barely contain her lust. "What is it about you?" She murmured to herself.

Garrett smiled and tried to hide his embarressment. "Yea you got me there. Never was very good at building stuff. I was always a better fighter....and musician." Garrett laid on the hammock and sighed in relaxation. "This is so awesome Tabby."

Tabitha smiled, "We each have our talents" She said, before she slipped into the hammock next to Garrett, the garden forgotten for the moment, she nodded in agreement, "It is" She shifted slightly, and gave Garrett a kiss.

Grant moved up close and personal to Piper. He was inches away from her, lips only barely not touching. He placed his hands on her hips underwater. "What is your name?"

"Piper Lance. What is yours?" Piper asked trying to get herself under control but having some serious trouble with it. Her eyes kept looking at his and then sliding down to his lips. She was having trouble concentrating.

Garrett wrapped his arms around Tabitha, and within seconds after eye contact Garretts lips were firmly planted on Tabithas lips. He kissed her passionatley, and like no one else was on the earth.

Grant chuckled. "Already said. Name is Grant," Grant said as his voice dipped, his eyes lowered, and his lips suddenly connected to Pipers lips. His tongue found its way into her mouth, and his hands explored her body. Something about her.......

Once Grant had touched her she lost most of her control. When he kissed her passionately she lost what little was left and she let her body take over. At first they were in the water and then somehow they were on the ground near the water and in various places around the water. Piper couldn't seem to get enough of him. It seemed like there was more at play than just hormones. She held onto him tightly. "I have no idea what's going on but...."

Tabitha responded, almost eagerly, letting herself match his passion, she shifted closer, her body simply overwhelming her with desire, as she kissed back just a little harder

Garrett kissed Tabitha a bit longer, until he started....desiring her more. He stopped at this point, but chose to lay there with her.

Grant and Piper spent an undetermined amount of time giving into the sins of their flesh. After they tired themselves out they laid on the ground near the water.

Andrew Langston

Andrew rode back into town heading straight for the bar. He chuckled when he read the new sign, it was just the sort of thing Lucinda would come up with. Walking inside he noticed that there were quite a few non-humans inside. "Sorry I'm late I had to take care of some 'business' outside of town." He said as he walked up to Alex. Turning to Callie and the twins, "Hi I'm Andrew. I don't believe we have met, I am one of Lucinda's eldest 'children'." Hopping behind the bar he grabbed himself a soda, while he did drink on occasion he didn't really enjoy it. "Have I missed anything?" He asks Alex.

The Vampire, The Wolves,The Witch and The Bar
Alex, Callie, Caius & Claudia

Collaboration of @Wick, @Caits & @Kyrisse

When they got there there were 2 werewolves at the bar with Callie. "I guess she managed just fine without you." Lucinda walked over to the bar and smiled. She pulled out fifty bucks and handed it to Callie. "Thanks for watching the bar and on short notice too. If you two want a job here there are openings. I could use a couple more bartenders."

Alex looked at Claudia and smiled. "I'm Alex."

Well, so much for sneaking out quietly. Claudia looked at Alex. Great. Face to face with a vampire, she thought a little sourly. But outwardly, she smiled. "Hey. I'm Claudia," she answered back despite the growing distaste. Caius, this is the perfect time to come over here, she thought a little impatiently, wishing she could mentally communicate with her brother the way she can in wolf form.

"May I?" Alex said taking her hand in his and kissing it gently. "I truly appreciate what you and your brother did by helping Callie out. It was an emergency and I had no choice. I would have had to temporarily close the bar until I got back and that would have damaged the bar's reputation and cost me a lot of money." He could tell that she did not like vamps. That made it more of a challenge for him. "I hope you won't think ill of me based on others of my kind. I try very hard not to judge others before I get to know them. Lucinda is right, we are in need of at least 2 more bartenders. Would you both be interested?" Alex looked into her eyes with an honest sincerity that he hoped she would see the real him.

Claudia looked awkward when Alex took her hand and kissed it. The last time a vampire tried to get close to her, she had separated his head from his body. But while all her instincts told her to pull her hand away and swipe at him, she did her best keep her temper to herself and let the vampire touch his lips to her skin. She even managed to smile at him. She made a quick glance towards Caius, who was still busy mixing drinks and talking to Callie. A job in the bar would allow both of them to keep close watch on vampire activity in town. She was sure he would agree. She turned her attention back to Alex and gave him a nod. "I try to do my best to tolerate your kind. And I appreciate the job offer. I'll gladly accept and I'm sure my brother would too."

Alex nodded and let go of her hand seeing the hatred in her eyes. "I'll be needing you both to work upstairs and downstairs. The club will be for vamps and weres upstairs and humans down here. I'll be here almost every night." Alex looked at the name and he shook his head. Sometimes I think Lucinda's head gets a little muddled. Excuse me a moment I need to fix something. He went online and ordered a new sign. "I think this place would do better if it were called Bitten instead of Bite me don't you?" Ordering the sign on a rush he sighed. okay, that should work."

"You'd do well to put Caius with the vampires. He can handle them even with his eyes closed," she gestured towards his brother. "I bet the people here already loves him," she shrugged. Even though Claudia had the same skills in mixing drinks, she was never the charmer as Caius was. She walked over to Alex and peered over his shoulder, for a while forgetting that he was what he was. She nodded her head in agreement. "Bite me sounds a bit... hmmm... tacky," realizing what she just said, she waved her hands apologetically in front of her as if she was erasing what she said. "Uh... never mind I said that."

Alex laughed at Claudia's mistake and he smiled too. "I think she was on the right track she just couldn't find the right word." Alex smiled at her and said, "You have a beautiful smile when you get embarrassed." He stared for only a moment more and said,

"Well with any luck maybe over time you'll get used to the good vampires and maybe we can change your minds about our kind. I'm hoping to be able to bridge the gap with this place. It will take time but I think it can work. What do you think? Can I make that become reality?" Alex asked her seriously.

Claudia would have blushed at the compliment but she just blinked. She really wasn't used to having vampires admire her smiles. "Uh... thanks," she responded a little awkwardly and then proceeded to hear what else Alex had to day. Strangely, Claudia didn't seem to mind the vampire's goals that much. "Don't expect me to hold my breath for it but sure, why not? Have a go at it."

Callie looked up as Alex and Lucinda came in, frowning at the offered money. Callie really hadn't done that much, and didn't like the thought that this was charity. She knew that Lucinda, being an original, might not consider that fifty bucks was a lot of money to someone like Callie, and probably thought she was just being kind, but it made Callie seem small. Not wanting to offend the vampire, Callie took the fifty dollars, but was sure she'd just give it to another homeless person, rather then feel guilty about it.

She was pleased that she hadn't gotten Claudia or Caius in trouble, and seeing Alex speaking to Claudia, Callie shifted slightly, turning towards Caius, for the moment. "Thank you again, for helping me. I really don't know what I would have done without you" She said, with a shy smile.

Caius slid another shot glass on the bar counter towards the customer, who caught it with a grin."Thanks, Caius," the guy called out. "Gimme a heads up if you want another," Caius called back before he turned towards Callie. He gave her a small nod of his head and a grin. "No problem. Glad I was able to help."

Callie watched, amazed at the ease with which Caius both mixed the drink, and how he seemed to have brought the customers around to actually liking him. While she suspected the clientele was mostly vampire, there didn't seem to be any problems with having Caius bartend. There were so many layers, layers upon layers, between the races, and Callie was having a hard time keeping up with it all.

"How do you do that? Not ten minutes ago, half the people in this bar would have gladly teared your throat out, and now...." She waved a hand over the crowd

Caius shrugged and then grinned. "I suppose it's just alcohol and my charms. They go together well," he winked.

Callie supposed there were things she would never understand. She looked down at the bar, pondering that for a moment, and looking up again. "Well, I suppose that's right. No one likes to waste good alcohol" She wanted to say more, but Callie didn't know what. She wanted to do something, anything, not to miss the chance to maybe make some more friends, but she seemed not to know how to even hold a conversation.

Caius noticed Callie's awkwardness. The grin on his face became gentle. "Feel free to say whatever comes to mind. I'm not easy to offend. And I don't bite either," he assured.

Callie hesitated. Small talk had never been her thing, and she found herself unwilling to even try, despite Caius' reassurance that he didn't offend easily. She glanced down at her hands again-she seemed to be doing that a lot. She knew she was probably being a little ridiculous, but for some reason she just couldn't help herself.

"Why did you guys come to a bar run by vampires? And why is there still tension between wolves and vampires? It seems...a little old fashioned. Especially...I read once that vampires and wolves were once so close, that when the vampires weren't at their top strength during the day, the wolves would use their power to supplEment them...of course that could all be nonsense, but still. It seems like wolves and vampires could do a lot together..." if Callie was going to serve both with her wares, then she decided she needed to know what might offend...and given a free pass, Caius seemed the best to talk with.

"I suppose it has something to do with the lust for power. Power tempts even those with the cleanest of intentions," he paused for a while when someone called out his name. Adeptly, he mixed another drink and quickly resumed his conversation with Callie. "Don't get me wrong. I have no such intentions. I'm perfectly fine dealing with races different from ours. My sister, however, thinks a little differently than I do. I suppose you can just say that we were born into this conflict."

Callie supposed that that made some sense, but she still found the whole thing perplexing. Maybe she could ask Tabitha later. "so basically...if I want to train and become stronger I'll be corrupted my that power? I just want to be able to help people..." she sighed and ran a hand through her hair.

As another vampire approached them, Callie stopped talking, listening as they spoke, she managed a polite smile. "a pleasure to meet you. I'm Callie." she said, glancing back to Caius, "so you were born, and not bitten?" she asked curiously not stopping to think if that was a rude question or not.

Grant opened his eyes and examined his surroundings with a still head and darting eyes. He looked at Piper who layed next to him, arm crossed over his chest. He quietly and quickly detached himself from Piper, then quickly dressed himself. He grabbed a few leaves from his backpack and wiped them over his clothes. They were special leaves with special properties, able to hide his scent even from the strongest nose.

It took some time but Grant eventually found the house he was looking for. It was slightly out of the way, and if he didnt know better he would have passed it. But there was no mistake, this house hid the vampire who he called father. Grant prepared himself mentally. For a very long time he dreamt of this moment. He was sure he wanted, was sure that this was the best way to exact revenge. He practically threw himself over to the dark arts of assassination for this day. He knew his father was very old, and suppose to be strong, but other than that he had no idea what he was dealing with. Grant finished preparing himself and started his plan of attack.

Garrett layed in the hammock with Tabitha, content. "Tabby, I am so happy to be here right now. Only thing that could make this moment better is like..a gallon of blood."

Tabitha smiled, quite happy. "I'm so happy too" She thought for a moment, but couldn't think of a time where she may have been happier. She was always happy when she turned someone, just hugging them as they went through, and her projects made her happy. But this was different. "mmm Maybe we should stock pile blood"

Piper awoke to hear Grant take off at top speed. A little injured that he didn't stick around to at least say something to her she went back to the park and changed then ran back. She had questions for her uncle and aunt.

Piper found them laying in the hammock out back. She walked right up to them. She noticed how happy they were and she just knew they would have an answer. "I need to ask you guys something...." She took a deep breath. "Is there something real called love at first sight that is truly real or that whole soul mates thing? Do they really exist? Because if so, I think I just met mine and I'm really confused.. Does it exist and how do you know?"

Tabitha looked up at Pipers approach, thoughtfully trying to figure out how to answer that question. Or questions, rather. But the answer all amounted to the same thing. "I think the fact your asking those questions....is a good start. But....I don't know. I think anything is possible, in this world..." These questions just brought up questions for herself, and she frowned, puzzling over it. "But is it love, or lust, Piper?"

Piper looked at Tabitha. "I've never felt lust like that before. I was drawn to him and I practically raped him. However, you can't rape the willing." She blushed intently. "He said his name is Grant and he is here to kill his father. He is vampire but other than that...I don't know anything about him really. He took off on me as I was waking up."

"Maybe that is something different then." Tabitha said thoughtful, letting her mind wander, which was a good way to let herself think rather then trying to follow one single thought, she frowned "Why is everyone trying to kill everyone else suddenly?" She asked, but it was merely a thinking out loud, she didn't expect an answer.

Grant was on the roof, watching the encounter with very little curiosity. He saw Piper, but ducked his head and laid on his back out of sight from everyone. Why had she appeared here? Grant rubbed his temple, feeling the urge to go to her now that she was within his sights. He longed to stroke her hair, to feel her breath on the nape of his neck. To feel the soft touch of her lips pressed against his......

Then Grant shook his head. He had a job to do. He was here to kill his father. Garrett Prescott.

Grant made a small cut on both his wrist with his nails, and muttered words. "Torzv ol cnila."

The small amount of blood protruding form his wrists suddenly shivered then stopped moving. Grant willed them to start moving upwards to his palms. From there they began to take shape, forming into a small spear like shape. Once they took shape they soldified and Grant held his palms out, making the bloodsicles hover in front of his palms. Grant looked over at his father, took aim, then willed them to shoot out as fast as they could, aimed at his fathers head and chest.

Garrett suddenly flipped himself, blocking Tabitha and in the process taking both bloodsicles to the back. Garrett staggered slightly but then stood up straight, flexing his muscles and making both bloodsicles pop out. Garrett narrowed his eyes and looked back at where Grant was.

Grant spoke, raising his finger and pointing it at Garrett. "Como Pon!" Suddenly an almost visible barrel of wind shot out, aiming for Garrett.

Garrett stood his ground, then bared his fangs. He used his vampiric speed to rush forward, meeting the magic midair, and redirected the spell to the side. As he did it still slightly grazed him, cutting his hands. Garrett fell to the ground, and the moment his feet touched the ground he sped off and clashed with Grant on the roof. They fought each other using the martial arts they knew.

Piper was taken by surprise when she realized it was Grant attacking her uncle. "No!" She threw herself between them seconds later as she raced up to the roof and yelled "NO! Garrett this is Grant." Piper looked at Grant and said, "Garrett is my uncle, you can't kill him." She couldn't take her eyes off of Grant and this scared her a little. Why did he have this effect on her?

Tabitha was out of the hammock almost as soon as it tried to flip her, she quickly glanced about, and angered over everything, Tabitha followed Piper, and she barely restrained herself from attacking Grant, wondering if she'd forever be denied that for fear of hurting some family member or another. She crouched, ready to spring into action however, and held herself back from saying anything.

Grant and Garrett were divided, blocked from eachother by Tabitha and Piper. Grant looked at Piper, eyebrows raised in confusion and shock. "Piper I told you I came here on a mission. Patricide. I am sorry you have to be related to this foul man, but I must kill him."

Garrett, still full of adrenaline, was shocked to hear Grants words. Patricide? As in murdering daddy dearest? "Hate to dissapoint you child but to commit Patricide you must kill your father. If you were my kid I would know. We arent related."

Grant scoffed. "Dont think that pretending you dont know me will change anything. Denying your blood will only infuriate me more. Just because you abandoned my mother and I once doesnt mean you can ditch me forever."

Piper looked at Grant and then Garrett. "I know that but Garrett doesn't have any blood children. He is an original vampire like my mother and Tabitha are. The likelihood of you killing him is well, it's damn near impossible." She looked at Grant. "Please don't fight him anymore." She walked closer to Grant and slipped her hand into his.

Tabitha rose, but still, it was clear she was ready to move if required, "Denying it is the only option. We're dead, we don't have the ability to reproduce, so your mother lied" She said, "Aside from the fact its been 1200 years, and the three of us, with Lucinda have never been far apart, the science isn't there to back it up. Stop and think a moment, and maybe you'll figure out that just maybe, your mother lied about it, even a little bit"

Grant let go of Piper and set his bag down. He rifled through it and pulled out a necklace. It was a rather abnormal necklace, with a bronze string and attached to it was an ancient looking emblem. Ut was made of some sort of metal, with strange deisgns weaved into the metalwork. I was looped around itself in many spots, and looked as if it had two different colors. "You gave this to my mother. She said a friend of yours made it, and you gave it to her. I had a painting of you two together, and i memorized your face and name before the painting was destroyed. Mother said that she knew I was yours because she never had anyone before or after you."

Tabitha recognised the necklace, and as far as she knew, there were only three in existance, the three she had designed and made, how many centuraries okay? She didn't think anyone would have had the skill, and grace to be able to create it, back then, unless they were a vampire. Or maybe a werewolf. She frowned, "I made that. For the three of us" She said, her tone a little dejected.

Piper looked at it and said, "Lucinda has one just like it." Turning to Garrett she asked him. "What does this mean?" Turning to Grant she looked at him closer and she could see the resemblance to Garrett. She looked at Garrett and said, "He has your eyes and lips and your stubborness and obviously natural talent for fighting." She said this last part wryly. "How is this possible? Vampire's can't sexually reproduce, can they?"

Garrett reached for the necklace, then recoiled his hand. He remembered when he last held that necklace, and he knew that it was his necklace. This brought up many painful memories for him. Garrett looked at Grant and studied him. Piper was right, they shared many features. They did look similiar.

:Grant isnt it....whats your last name?"

"Holiday."

That settled it for Garrett. He had no idea how this could have happened, but he reproduced sexually. He had a son. He looked at Tabitha, and was ridden by an emotional roller coaster of pain and guilt. So far since they started he has been nothing but pain for her. Then he looked at Grant. "I believe you. Your mother was Siranna Holiday. Believe me please, the chances of a normal vampire reproducing is zero. Im.....im an original. Meaning Im one of the first three vampires. Like ever created. Its been so long we dont remember who was first second and third but im one of them. I guess that means I have a chance of reproducing, but honestly....it is such a minimal chance.......I had to leave because I...made a mistake. I angered too many people, got the three of us driven out of town. If I had known Siranna was preggers......"

Grant snorted and tensed himself for another attack on Garrett. He almost believed him...but he spent too much of his life simply to give up now after finally confronting him. But he sounded so sincere.

"Lies too protect yourself. You must have known. There is no way you did not know."

Piper stepped between them so she was in Grant's line of sight. "I need to talk to you privately. Come inside, we can talk in my room. He lives here he isnt going anywhere." She took his hand in hers and the reaction was instant and he didn't back away from her or do anything but follow her. She pulled him with her and into the house and then her room.

Once there she sat him on the bed and said, "The chances that he would actually reproduce sexually is so small it's microscopic. You are truly a miracle. I've heard the story a million times since I was turned. Yes, I am hybrid vampire/werewolf. I'm a bit of an anomoly myself." Piper sat next to him on the bed and smiled.

"I think that makes us both unique." Piper's voice lowered a touch. "Garrett had no idea. He and your mother were only together three weeks when the originals were run out of town. He mourned his loss of her for a really long time. So long that he drove Lucinda nuts about going back and she said no because ....well it's not fun getting chased and hunted every minute of the day. He really didn't know, if he did I'm certain he would have kidnapped her out of there to be with her." Piper hugged him.

As Garrett glanced at her, Tabitha realised that he probably felt bad, for her. And so she decided to make it a heck of a lot easier, taking a deep breath to calm herself, she knew she wasn't upset by this--over 1200 years, there would be surprises, even when they thought they knew each other. After all, she'd given him one the night before. And why should she be upset? The only reason she was even a little upset was because she'd created the necklaces for them.

As Piper took Grant away-probably a good thing-she approached Garrett, and simply gave him a tight hug.

Garrett sighed as he hugged Tabitha, and held her close. He was over the shock and confusion and disbelief, and now he was just.....Garrett didnt know. But he had his favorite defense mechanism. He leaned towards Tabitha's ear and spoke.

"Congratulations, your a mom!"

Grant sat with Piper and listened to her speak. He didnt know why, but even though he was dead set on finishing what he started he let himself be distracted and led away by her. Why did she have such a hold on him? "I just cant let go, not now. I have spent most of my life hunting him, and I went through so much pain and hardsip to be strong. What am I suppose to do if I believe him?"

Piper smiled softly, "You get to know your dad. Garrett is a really good guy. Lucinda and he were together before they became originals and she has had feelings for him ever since. I'm not sure they are the same strength but she still loves him in one way or another. Get to know him. I think it would change your life." She sighed and asked him, "Why did you leave me by the lake? Didn't you feel our connection?" She didn't want him to see that she had been a little hurt by that.

Tabitha was well aware that Garrett used humor as a defense, but she was completely astonished. She was, quite effectively, speechless. She stared at him, waiting for words to come. "That's not funny" She said, her tone astounded, "I don't think he'd see it that way, not when he wants to kill you" She said, gaining her balance back from being thunderstruck.

"What are we going to do?"

Garrett laughed, and when he calmed down he shrugged his shoulders. "Not sure. Would be nice if he didnt want to kill me, but it is what it is. But I know he exists now, so I am going to take care of him. He is my.....our family. I wont abandon him, and I wont let him go. Ill tie him to the radiator in the basement if I have to.:+"

Grant shrugged but did not meet Pipers gaze. "I did. But I have my mission......had my mission. What would you have done in my place?"

"Honestly? I would have spoken to you first. I wouldn't have just left you like you were just some booty call." Piper couldn't help how he had made her feel. "If you want to stay here at this house there is nothing that I think your dad would like more. You can even stay in this room with me...if I mean something to you."

Tabitha nodded as if she expected nothing less, "So maybe we should make the radiator stronger then" she said, glancing over the grounds, wondering how just about every perfect moment could be ruined lately. She looked back to Garrett and gave him a smile, "1200 years, and its like the universe wants to slam enough things to fill another 1200 in the space of a week"

Grant raised an eyebrow, but spoke in a monotone voice. "I.....guess that would be fine. I mean dont get me wrong, I do feel....whatever we have. It is obvious to me we have some type of connection. But you do get that this isnt normal right? Normal beings dont just randomly appear naked on another and then fall in love. Its gonna take me a bit of time to wrap my head around this whole thing. My dad not being the bastard I thought he was, and finding you."

Garrett laughed, almost doubling over, and he had to wipe the tears from his eyes. He kissed Tabitha and hugged her again. "I was joking, please dont tie anyone who isnt our enemy to the radiator. And I agree this whole week has been........very interesting to say the least. Hasnt been this crazy in awhile."

Garrett had a thought. "When things settle down, with Grant and Samuel, lets go away someplace. Somewhere vamp friendly where we can vacation in peace and just be with each other."

Piper didn't know how to take what he said. When he put it into words that way it made her feel like a tramp. "I'm gonna go see what is in the fridge." She said quietly and she walked out her door. She opened the door and took off to see Samuel. Maybe now would be the perfect time to join his pack.

Tabitha was glad, if not a little perplexed, that she could make Garrett laugh. She pondered the limitation on tying people to radiators, and thought she'd much rather beat the crap out of their enemies then tie them up.

"That sounds perfect" She said wistfully, wondering where that would be, but after a moments thought she decided she didn't care. "Well, we can make do for now, finding small moments of peace like before"

Caius & Claudia

Interacting with: @Caits, @Venku, @Wick

Caius looked at Callie and shook her head. "The conflict we're in is probably a little different from any conflict you may be in. I think your quest for power to help people is admirable," he said and looked towards Andrew. Another vampire, he thought, immediately smelling blood. He was sure the newcomer could smell what he was too. Caius gave him a neutral look and introduced himself. "My name's Caius. Would you like anything to drink?" he asked, automatically fulfilling his role as bartender.

Claudia walked towards Caius just in time to see him introduce himself to yet another vampire. She raised an eyebrow at him and the younger of the twins shot her a sharp look back. "Well, it was your decision to come here. And I got ourselves a job."

Caius raised an eyebrow the same way his sister did. A silent understanding passed between them and Caius' lips curved up into a teasing grin. "And here I thought you'd want nothing better than getting out of here," he gestured towards Alex. "I don't suppose he was able to charm you into taking the job offer?"

Claudia's lips turned down into a frown. "Oh, sod off, Caius," she responded irritatedly and then turned to mix a drink someone asked Caius for.

"Thanks for finally deciding to help out," he called out to his sister with a chuckle. And then he turned back to Andrew. "And that charming lady is my sister, Claudia."

Alex North
Piper Lance

Piper turned and went to the bar and when she walked in Alex's eyes lit up and he jumped over the bar in one fast movement. Running over he grabbed her by the waist and swung her around joyfully. "Piper! When did you get here?" Piper smiled, "Hey big brother I missed you too. A couple of hours ago. What the hell is going on? The family is falling apart in the last 24 hours." She looked up and saw Andrew and she hugged him and punched him in the arm. "20 years and no word? I oughtta kick your ass!"

Piper noticed everyone in the bar was looking at her oddly. "I'm a hybrid vampire/werewolf chill out ok! I'm not here to choose sides or hurt anyone." She sat down at the bar and said "strong whiskey please." Alex sat down next to her and looked at her. "What's wrong?" Piper looked up at Alex a sec. "How much time have you spent at the house?" "Not much, I've been here almost the entire time...why? What's going on?"

"The best I can tell Garrett and Tabby are "together" now. When did that happen? Lucinda is with a werewolf named Samuel that killed Jackson. You remember him. He was a bit of a jerk but he was Garrett's kid. When I said I might join Samuel's pack Garrett and Lucinda started fighting I had to leave at that point. I was running through the woods in lycan form and something pulled me to this vampire in the woods. I swear to ...." Piper ran her hand over the bar and onto the other side and grabbed a bottle and opened it and poured herself a huge glass of it. "Rum" She gulped it down. "I'm serious Alex it was like a maker summons but it wasn't, obviously. There was/is this weird connection between us and I practically raped the guy." There were chuckles around the bar as others were listening.

Alex gave them a glare and they turned around and started talking amongst themselves. Alex laughed at that. "I can't believe you would have to rape anyone." Piper's expression changed. "He left me there and took off afterwards. I went home to talk to Garrett and Tabby about the connection we felt and while I was there he attacked Garrett. Apparently Garrett and Siranna Holiday had a child...a vampire child sired by sex with a male vampire. How the fuck does that even happen? So now the Rare hybrid girl and the birth born vampire are what? soulmates? I don't even think he likes me, other than the sex. I left him in my room at the house. He thinks I'm in the kitchen getting a snack." She had managed to make the bar silent. Alex looked at Andrew who looked stunned. Alex looked back at Piper and said "Of course other than the sex. Damn, I should keep better track of what is going on at the house."

Seeing that there was pain in her eyes he asked her, "What else?" Piper seemed irritated with her own emotions. "Grant said something and it just made me feel, like a tramp." Alex knew Piper to be sensitive sometimes. He also knew he needed to meet this Grant person and maybe give him a little warning.

Alex, Piper, Caius & Claudia

Collaboration of @Wick, @Kyrisse

"Well since you haven't been here yet. Let me make some introductions." Alex turned around and his eyes landed on Caius and Claudia. "These are our newest bartenders, Twins and werewolves Caius and his sister Claudia." Piper smiled at them both and she glanced at Alex and smiled slightly. "It's nice to meet you." She said extending her hand to Caius and then to Claudia. "I'm Lucinda's daughter, Piper." Piper saw the light in Alex's eyes when he looked at Claudia and it made her smile.

Upon hearing his name, Caius looked over to Alex and Piper. He looked thoughtful for a moment when his eyes fell on Piper. Even though he had never came across someone like her, somehow, he immediately knew what she she is. Regardless of what blood ran through her veins, he took her hand. "I'm Caius. It's a pleasure to meet you," his lips curved up into a crooked grin.

Claudia slid the drink towards the customer the same way Caius did earlier before she turned towards Alex and Piper. She looked at Piper and a confused look crossed her face. "Hmmm... she said and then shrugged. She has werewolf blood in her so she couldn't be half bad. She reached out and shook Piper's hand. "Claudia. Nice to meet you," she said.

Piper took to Caius' easy smile immediately. "I'm pleased to meet you both. Did Alex tell you? We all just moved up here from the south. I imagine the temperature difference will be fun. Different sports and things. Have you ever been skiing or sledding? I'm looking forward to winter." Piper asked him. She looked Alex across the room and then at Claudia and said, "I can see why my brother likes you so much. You are very pretty." She smiled and hoped that at least this part of her day would be less confusing.

Alex came back and gave the drink order to Caius. He looked at Piper suspiciously. "What kind of trouble are you causing now little sister?" "Causing trouble? Are you crazy? It follows me like a magnet. I'm usually running as fast as I can to stay away from it."

Alex grinned and stood leaning against the bar. He noticed that there was a vampire and a werewolf having a heated conversation across the room. He kept his eyes open and on them as Piper was talking.

"Haha, no, I'm afraid Alex hasn't told us about you yet. You know, new to this bar. Just got the job. There was really no time to chat yet. Skiing and sledding... I suppose I've already tried that at least once. I'm more of a hockey type of guy," he answered and then looked towards the arguing vampire and werewolf.

Claudia raised an eyebrow at Piper. "Thank you. But... you brother... likes me so much?" she repeated her words slowly and then turned just in time to see Alex walking back. A light blush colored her cheek and she looked away.

As soon as Alex came back, Caius took the order and then gestured towards the arguing pair. "I can take care of that, if you want."

Claudia turned her attention to Caius to cover her embarrassment. "I'm sure you'll do a good job calming them down. Sometimes you're like an old man or and old soothing song. Everyone must listen to you."

Caius chuckled. "With your temper? It's good that I'm like that."

Piper turned as Alex calmly said "No just be ready in case." Alex was standing just a little way in front of the bar. He was listening to the arguing pair. It was fine until the vampire said something and the wolf threw a drink at him and the vampire picked up his knife and whipped it at the wolf. The wolf dodged and the blade went flying, straight at Claudia. Alex moved so fast it was a blur, he blocked the knife with his body as he closed the distance between them. Piper jumped up and ran to the wolf and tackled him to the ground.

Claudia bristled at what was happening but before she could do anything, Caius held out a hand to stop her. "Remember, this is not our territory. Let them take care of it," he said in a quiet voice. But despite his calm demeanor, it was obvious on his face that he wanted to intervene as well. A fellow werewolf in distress always brought out his aggressive need to protect. But ever since they were little, Caius had that impossibly strong self control.

Alex grabbed the vampire and took him outside of the bar. The vampire turned and hit him in the mouth and busted Alex's lip. Alex ripped his head off and dropped him. Coming back in Alex wiped the blood from his lip and yanked the knife out of his shoulder. He looked at the wolf Piper had protected and he calmly said, "Caius can you get him another drink, on the house please."

When Alex walked back in, Caius nodded and immediately went to mix a drink.

Coming back to the bar he put the knife on the bar and glanced at Claudia for only a second. "That is why I'll be here most nights." Alex walked into the back room and he was worried that all Claudia saw was that he was violent or that another vampire was the instigator. He let his head lean against the wall for a moment as he got himself another shirt.

Claudia's eyes tracked Alex as he walked into the back room. A few seconds later, she followed after him. "Thanks. I could have dealt with that knife on my own but... thanks," she said in an awkward tone of voice. She turned to walk out of the room, hesitated and then turned back towards Alex. "Are you okay?"

Alex pulled the torn shirt over his head and his taught muscles and six pack abs were on full display as he pulled another shirt over his head. He looked at the bar and said, "I know you could have. I don't doubt your abilities. You just shouldn't have to defend yourself at work. That's my job, not yours." Alex looked at her and for a moment his attraction to her was clear in his eyes.

"You should know though, if it had been the wolf instead of the vamp. I would have done the same thing. It doesn't make a difference to me. Trouble is trouble. Lucinda calls me her enforcer." He chuckled a little. "Come on, let's get back before I do something that you'll probably hit me for."

Claudia openly admired Alex's body as he pulled a fresh shirt on. But when her eyes met his and she saw the clear attraction there, she looked away awkwardly. "Yeah, I understand. I can see why you're the designated enforcer," she said as she went on ahead of him out the room.

Callie

Callie sighed as it seemed her conversation with Caius was at an end. figures, I start to feel comfortable and get interrupted. Of course. she ran a hand through her hair, and she laided the fifty down on the bar, pushing it towards Caius with the empty drink, effectively paying for it and leaving him the rest as tip-another thank you for saving her butt.

"I guess I'll head off then" She said softly, knowing that he could probably hear her, "Tabitha is probably worried, and she's spacey at the best of times" She said, a little torn. She quickly gathered her things, and started to make her way out the bar, thoughtful. The tension was like anything she had ever experienced before? That sounded bad.

She pressed herself against the wall as the conflict started, trying to stay out the way, she wished she had a few more charms. Maybe some potions. Or even the materials for a spell. Sighing as it seemed over, she glanced back towards the bar.
