@carla6677, here's the thread for our battle. Feel free to post your character in the character tab at any time. You should at least have their name, appearance, equipment, powers/abilities, and also lots of people prefer if you give a bit of their personality and other tidbits of information. If someone pulls out a magical spell not mentioned in the sheet then that would be grounds of being disqualified/having to change what they wrote to remove the offense. Obvious abilities we expect the average person to have don't need to be written. For example, they can still do hand to hand combat if you don't mention it, but they aren't going to be particularly skilled at it unless you mention that they are trained in it. Only saying something like, "they can use fire magic" for their power is far too vague so very few would accept a fight with such a character in ranked without further explanation. The character could, by what is written, be able to set everything on fire with a glance, create fireballs the size of suns, etc. unless you give us some handy limitations to work with.
I'll give tips as we go along if I notice stuff and you will be free to edit your posts to correct anything. The very first IC posts are usually just introductions to your character being on the battlefield and perhaps calling out to your opponent. However, attacking them outright on the first post would be unusual so if you wish to do that I'd see if your opponent was fine with it first.
I think our battlefield should be simple. Perhaps a grassy plane with some rocks, hills, and a couple ruined walls and such from a long abandoned/run down fort.
I'll try to have my character provide some openings for you to practice taking advantage of.
