Alessandra grew even confused as he stayed silent. Did he hold any bad intentions? She breathed in deeply as she continued following him closely, coming aware that they were heading to the library. ''Your majesty? Why?''She asked again as she allowed herself to fall in step with him, looking up at him.

How am I to get some peace and silence if she keeps asking me questions I have no idea how to answer? Adrian stopped halfway to the library and closed his eyes for a second. There really was no sense trying to hide from her the real reason. If he did, she would just keep on asking until he told her. The way she was staring at him now made that a certainty. And so he looked down and met her gaze. "Because I was jealous," he murmured. He looked at her for a moment, at that blush that he was sure would color her cheeks and then he continued on his way to the library.

Alessandra stopped in her tracks as he too turned to talk to her. At his words, a deep blush coloring her cheeks as she stared up at him. her eyes followed him as he walked away from her and continued on his way to the library. She hurried to follow up with him again, breathing in nervously. ''Why would you be jealous, Prince Adrian? I have told you, I would always answer back to you and no one else.'' She assured, confused as to why he would be so keen to keep her loyalty to him, of course she would be.

Adrian was disappointed that she didn't understand what he meant to say. But perhaps it was for the best. Perhaps he was just delusional to think that she felt the same way about him. There was loyalty there, that's for sure. But that was all there is to their relationship. What transpired between them several months ago was probably a fluke. Something that will never happen again. He can't even imagine why his mind brought the memory up in the first place. And so, he looked at her, gave her a smile and shook his head. "Never mind. It's not important."

Alessandra blinked again and shook her head. "Everything you say is important to me, Prince Adrian." She mumbled but fell silent in disappointment. Maybe he didn't want her interfering into his choices and life-- Perhaps for her to sillyly think it was perhaps he held romantic feelings for her was too stupid.

She breathed in deeply and followed him into the library.

Adrian walked into the library and settled down near the window. He didn't take up a book or had any intention of reading. He merely say there and became lost in his thoughts. He thought about the past few months. At what he had been doing, at what he had discovered. He mulled it over, trying to come up with the best course of plan. And then Alessandra floated into his mind. He realized that he had actually held his breath for her answer when he asked if she wanted to accept Adam's proposal. He shook his head and pushed all thoughts of her out of his head.

Perhaps he should call on Henry, see what his thoughts are of the current unrest of the people. Maybe there was news of the border.

Alessandra's lips had been so soft against his. And that look she gave him when he first announced that he was back in the castle.

Adrian blinked and rubbed his temples. Ugh... I will not be able to accomplish anything if Alessandra keep occupying my mind.
