@Sypherkhode822 For mine it's easy, she doesn't know Susannah's a demon. Also I put my sheet up if no one's noticed.

As for Walden... death! Death to necromancers!

I mean, for now its safe to assume we'd all be courteous to each other since no one knows I'm a necromancer.

@A Heretic If you read the posts it definitely seems like everyone already knows, or at least suspects that fact.

Hrossbjorn differed in his thoughts about the newcomers. They each held a certain skill set that could make or break his effort to make it to the Castle Estel. A woman who can control the weather could serve useful if the village turns out to be not safe, and a necromancer can bring in support from the dead if they run into the vanguard of the Mad Kings’ army.
Hrossbjorn

Now, she had to endure a week of playing nice to one who she suspected of being a necromancer and another two of being abominations.
Gyrid

I stole a glance at the pale man with the horrible book in his satchel. My hands reflexively curled into a fist upon thinking about the danger that book represented to the Harmony, but I chose to stay my hand. When I had won the support of the rest of the group, I would be able to safely turn on the sickened man and that poison he so worshiped.

@Nariata Mentions of an elf that seem to indicate they are like the rest of the PCs a newcomer to the army are in a couple places in the first few IC posts. Who is this person?

@Nariata I'm not sure where you posted the NPC

Also to clarify, no one at this point except my character knows what the book is, it doesn't radiate magic or anything of the sort. Its basically a spell book, along with ways to perform ancient and forgotten magic.

The book its self is magic in a way it has more content than possible for a book of its size, and it often picks and chooses what it reveals

Edit, forgot to throw in that it also functions as demonology and a bestiary within.

I just misread this passage in your CS and assumed your character had been revealed as a nercomancer.

The dead that lay on the field around him began to convulse and quake, Their eyes a ghostly white. They stood slowly, just in time to engage the enemies. The dead and the enemy warriors locked into battle. His undead servants were not as quick as their live counterparts, but it did scare them a good deal.

No worries, I will simply edit the post inbetween classes tomorrow! 😊

I figured our characters weren't in the same region of the battle. Maybe rumors of a necromancer but what ever helps the flow I'll roll with.

My apologies for the confusion

The point I'm trying to make is that the way I set up the character was too not be a known necromancer, but if thats the way things start then I'll go with the punches. I mean that is how I imagined my character. @Prince of Seraphs

Thats what I was thinking was Sypher's kat would probably be able to figure out who or what I was either from continual observation or a sixth sense kind of deal. @Nariata But was hoping it would play out over the time of the RP and not at the begining, like I said if we've already started and its easier for people to just know then I'm fine with it.

Wouldn't the same be true of Lilith? Magic usually leaves traces and if they're present enough for a light Mage to detect wouldn't someone of the same alignment be more attuned to it?

Also how old and from where is the dead language the book is written in?

I mean, walden isn't practicing demonic magic, its just black magic and necromancy. So sure you might get wiffs black magic if he performs it near the group but if he's trying to hide he'll definitely not do it while in the company of a GMO demon and a purifier. The dead language is as old as writing, the book showed up after the first written language. I can't go too much into detail Nariata knows the full details as GM i felt it would interfere the least with him to share, plus he asked.

I mean I don't care if your suspicious of him, we have a whole week we can't really account for, as the RP started a week after the battle. That area I feel is the GM's territory.

Like, Kat is less intrested in 'dark' or 'light', and more in keeping the balance between the two.

If a giant host of angels or entities of Light showed up, Kat would pick up her staff and try and kick them out as well. She want's earth for earthlings.

She can't detect Lilith, because she's been subsumed inside of Susana. If Lilith flexed her demonic powers, Kat would notice.

I mean its not like Walden is going to disrupt this balance ( granted the Mad king also seems to practice these things, so the balance is probably already wrecked. So i could see of how getting rid of walden would help. Also to clarify I'm joking about walden not disrupting things)

It's not as though demonic and black magic are completely unrelated, at their core they're both basically the art of manipulating the powers of the underworld. Demonic is simply naturally occurring while necromantic has to be essentially converted from standard magicks.

Does this language appear anywhere else other than the book?
