I feel like Farxus should have some kind of input on the world (and on this 'divine' war that seems to be going on).

...Hmm... I might have an idea, but it will have to wait until next turn when I have some might to spend.

@Lauder

Tempting offer, but Farxus is kind of on his own side at the moment... the results of what I have in mind will be interesting through.

Oh, I'm sure what Farxus is about to do is going to get some attention. If it's good or bad is debatable.

Just a quick reminder; If I wanted to create a race of supernatural creatures with strange eating habits/hunting habits, an aura effect that grows in effect in relation to how many creatures are present (which is proportionate to the amount of food available to them in the area), a somewhat magical ability to preserve the food sources that they can find in stasis for long periods of time and are spirit like in nature (ethereal and able to fly), how much Might would that cost me?

@Bright_Ops Might cost for creating a sentient being is 1 MP. If, however, you want to invest more on your race, it's up to you how much you spend. It hasn't really been clarified how much stronger a race of, ie 2 Might is opposed to a race created with 1 Might.

As Vec mentioned, the default cost is 1 Might to create a race of sentient creatures, but nothing is stopping you from investing more.

In my opinion, it would depend on how powerful these abilities are, and how closely it ties in with your Domain/Portfolio, as to whether you should invest extra Might. Strange habits would not affect cost. Preserving things in stasis is an interesting ability, but probably not big enough to affect the cost. Being spirit-like ties in with your Domain/Portfolio. This leaves the aura effect. If the aura effect is especially powerful/dangerous, then it might be worth investing another Might. If the aura effect is not as powerful/dangerous, especially if it is linked to your Domain/Portfolio, then it shouldn't require more Might.

Your memes are stale; in eighth grade the guy sitting next to me in English class showed that to me.

...I randomly encountered him a year ago, and I still couldn't look at the him the same way I did before he showed me that >.>

@Bright_Ops Adding to what BBeast said, there's also the matter of quality and quantity.

If you want more than a modest population of those creatures to start out with, you might consider more might. Toun made loads of hain for little extra cost to start with because of his creation domain.

Also, if you want said population to learn technology, even from other cultures, that might take a while unless you invest some might in that as well. The chippers might have a hard time reaching them if they live somewhere inhospitable.

Well I'll be. I don't serve stale memes, mine are made fresh every morning. This means war.

tfw you've been working on a post for a while and it's just growing out of all proportions to the point where you might as well contact Penguin and tell them you'd like to get published right away but then they reject you because it's far too explicit and tediously Melvillean and you should have contacted Bloomsbury instead or something.

edit: but then again, Bloomsbury is all about kids, so why would they even...
