N.E.R.O.N

Assignment: Debriefing Interacting with @king Tai and @Necrophage

Conceding to the flaw in his plan, Priest sighed and carried on with ideas for how to approach the 'harem', as Paige called it. Suprisingly, the glorified con-man came up with a legitimate hole in N.E.R.O.N's proposition. He would be no good to neither his comrades nor his master as scrap metal, so keeping the automaton as back-up in the case of a forceful extracation did indeed seem like the safest bet. "You have me there, Priest. At the very least, I will be able to diagnose what they are scientifically doing with the children in the syndicate if I am given photographs or other types of information about the testing", the automaton said, "This is in addition to being part of the shock-team, of course".

Willard

Assignment: Attend briefing - Interacting with @King Tai@Wick

Willard looked from person to person as his name was brought up, still unsure what was going on entirely, but picking up the jist of things pretty quickly when the words "child", "testing", and "organization" filled the air. Willard watched as Blaque went to the bar to take a sip of his tea - surely the man knew what would be best, but Willard still couldn't help but notice as everyone tensed and their colors changed, indicating that half of them completely opposed the idea of Willard getting involved. He knew that if he spoke, his words would only be drowned out - so as each person said their piece, Willard slumped further down in his chair as the thought of having to sit this one out sank in.

Still, even Mr. Darric provided some support toward Willard, saying he was willing to watch over the youth. Willard looked to the man expectantly - only to meet his gaze, and Willard smiled up at him. Willard wanted to prove himself useful to the group, and was willing to do what he could to help - the worry of failure disappearing as a new hope stirred inside the small heart. Once more, Willard glanced over at Blaque - his color, his demeanor, it was difficult to read. It seemed like it was debating with itself, like there were two different Blaques fighting each other. But Willard really had a hard time telling what was going on.

Please, Blaque... I can do this! He thought to himself, before taking a huge gulp out of his root beer float, smiling, satisfied with yet another delicious drink.

Blaque

Not long after patting Willard's head when the boy came to hug him and looked in the direction of where the boy pointed to. The bag with the papers were on the table, the very thing he waited for. With a slight smile before the meeting, Blaque gave a satisfied response to Willard on his assignment before having him position himself next to his guardian.

After speaking about some changes and situations that is currently going on, a debate already started with a few members about what to do with Willard, whether he should get involve in a mission or not. While the bickering continued, Blaque silently stood and walked over, listening to the suggestions and opinions of the others about the next course of action. It was a bit interesting how N.E.R.O.N changed his mind about taking down the Ghost Face group but he understood why the bot would prioritize children over taking down a gang.

Still listening and walking over to the table he grabbed the papers he needed so to digitally scan all the information. He pretended to not listen to what all was being said and walked back over when Paige spoke up. R0se, Paige, and N.E.R.O.N all brought up good points and suggestions about how to handle this and they were against getting Willard involved. Priest and Darric seemed willing to either back Willard or use him for the mission to be useful in that manner.

Paige brought up what she went through with her assignment and named the man she was dealing with while on duty. Father Francis....he heard that name and from what she said, he was responsible for the kidnapping but there was something interesting that Blaque found out on the papers that Willard delivered. From Paige's information, R0se being willing to go in as a child instead, Darric wanting to join in if it meant defending and guarding Willard. Then having Priest wanting to use Willard as bait, and N.E.R.O.N wanting to use himself as a way to infiltrate, Black typed on his holo-tablet and moved all the information he wanted to show from his tablet to a blown up hologram to show everyone something. There were two images with information about them as a 3D showing of both lit up the room.

Blaque looked down at Willard seemingly pleading to be involved in a mission. Blaque softly ruffled his hair and gave him a smirk. I...really appreciate everyone's suggestions to the matter of whether Willard should get involved or not. You've made valid points and I like the fact that we can discuss this so to play our cards right. Every one of you know that ever since Willard joined us, he's only handle matters that were not life threatening. Mostly having him running errands for me. A simple pick up, carry, and drop off. That was it and usually it was not something where he'd have to worry about being followed with. I wanted him to still have purpose but to be protected from the true dirt and grime we have to deal with. In fact, I didn't really want to involve in this life at first but....he became involved the moment he met me so, he's just as much of a target as the rest of us. he said

looking back at the images and down at Willard, Blaque had to make a decision. And if you all are wondering....image one and image two are our perps involved with the child kidnappings. The first is who Paige mentioned earlier, which I thank for giving me a name to go off of...Father Francis Peterson...a priest and leader of some extreme religious cult who feel that they are the chosen people and seeks out the children of the future. and image two...say hello to Mr. Eustace Vancouver a.k.a.....The Caretaker. Head of SleepyHill Orphanage....and child soldier idealist... Blaque pointed out.

If you're wondering if these two guys are working together, then you are wrong. These two have no affiliation with each other at all. But one thing they do have in common...they love their fresh picked kid from the slums. A child with no parents. The "orphanage" always takes in parentless children. Any kid on the streets...they swipe them up. And from the spy game Paige have been part of, she linked some of the disappearings to Francis. I agree that she should continue a little further with Father Francis if she can continue to stomach it for the time being until we have full confirmation. Thanks to Willard picking up this information about the orphanage and the one who runs it, we have a better lead on where to look. Father Francis is more than likely a pedophile and manipulator while it's safe to assume that Caretaker is using the children he kidnaps as test subjects...either way....they both will need to be taken down and have the children rescued.

Downing the rest of his tea I don't even have to tell you that they have people backing them that probably have efficient ways of defending themselves or tracking someone if you so happened to confront one of them. Now...with these two sticky situations and the debate on if we should get Willard involved or not and obviously the boy wants to. I feel that if we are going to involve him, we should guarantee some amount of safety. And I mean if he gets involved in either the mission to infiltrate the Orphanage or the Cathedral. Many of you will not agree to this but he may be able to provide a helping hand in this with his skills. If he chooses which mission to go on, he will only help with either getting in and locating the children or getting them out and using his ability to hopefully control their aura enough for them to orderly and quickly escape the facilities. That's my take on this. If something happens to him, I'll take full responsibility. He said to the group wondering what they'd think after the information he shared.

N.E.R.O.N

Assignment: Debriefing Interacting with @king Tai

If N.E.R.O.N could visually grimace, he would. The boy, decided by his master Blaque, would go on the mission despite a few others disapproval. It was exactly what N.E.R.O.N had hoped not to happen, but now he was unable to prevent it. The jury and judge had ruled. Coming down and patting Willard's head, N.E.R.O.N responded to Blaque's continuation of the debriefing. "Alright, there's nothing I can do about the matter with Willard. But anyways, I will be able to aid the mission with what I previously proposed, in addition to perhaps any kidnapping missions if we need people for questioning. Yet, like you said, they have backers able to dismantle Vendetta if confronted too much, so it's a thin sheet of ice we're skating on, really."
N.E.R.O.N, now somewhat slouching in his chair, ended with, "You are the one with the most information about this ring, though, and thus, I'll follow your clear instructions, master."

Delta stood listening to the briefing analyzing what information was relayed and where applicable conducted a detailed metabolic scan of the speakers, a voice stress analysis and body language profile.

She listened to the arguments seeing benefit in each approach but keeping her own counsel as she’d been taught by her Mistress Echo. The others had their agenda and she her own which was to develop her own reactions spontaneously in the hope that she could achieve sentience, true sentience. Presently she was able to pass the Turing Test along with other tests designed to define sentience but she knew deep down that there was something missing, something undefined and until she discovered what that was she wouldn’t feel whole.

Of course she was broadcasting it all back to Echo hoping the reclusive young biological would grant them her ability to process information on a scale that staggered even her but it seemed as if her Mistress was listening only and had found no point on which to make comment or offer an opinion. Her inaction left Delta in the unenviable position of observer waiting as others decided her fate.

When Jonathan got situated in the meeting room he pulled up the trackers on his datapad to keep an eye on them while the debriefing went on. He looked up and saw that Paige was already here. There wasn't much Jonathan had to say about Paige. Mainly because he didn't really know much about her. At the very least he could say she generally got the job done.

The next person to show up was Willard. The kid that Jonathan wished would leave him alone. Anytime someone was watching him it put Jonathan on edge. Even if it was a little kid. After Willard showed up it was N.E.R.O.N. who arrived at the scene. The massive tin can. Jonathan didn't like robots. Robots can be hacked, and if they can be hacked that means someone against them may hack IT. Jonathan has voiced this opinion to Blaque twice but each time nothing came of it.

The next arrival was probably the person Jonathan hated the most in Vendetta. Priest was unprofessional, cocky, criminal, and just a straight up dirtbag. Priest was the kind of person Jonathan use to be hired to hunt and kill. Jonathan couldn't stand working by him, but at least he was a 'valuable' insight into the minds of criminals. Then came in Delta 7, the puppet of Echo. Jonathan didn't trust Echo. He couldn't bring himself to trust someone that hides themselves. Delta 7 was being controlled by the one hiding herself. The only reason Jonathan hasn't tried to locate Echo's base of operations is because Blaque asked him not to. R0se entered the room next and Jonathan quickly dismissed her presence. He tried his best to avoid her due to the fact that she'd have the best chance of digging up his past. The less people who knew who he was the safer his family would be. Jonathan was pissed when Blaque told a few of the members who he was without consulting him first but what is done is done. Jonathan has moved on from that and is now just working as hard as he can for the one man he currently trusts.

Jonathan listened to what Blaque wanted to tell them and thought about if he had heard any information on the two groups on the streets. It was only word of mouth stuff and no specific names, but the things implied that was done could only be accomplished by organizations larger than you average street gang. Next Blaque brought up the children kidnapping issue. It was a bad situation and Jonathan wanted to help, but his methods probably would not be good for this type of ordeal. Listening to everyone's thoughts and ideas for how they should proceed with such a mission Jonathan formulated his own idea of a plan.

When Blaque finally stated the ultimatum that Willard would be helping Jonathan finally decided to speak. "It is a good thing you chose to involve the child, sir. He is the best asset we have for this mission. Miss R0se may be useful as well, however we can't be sure that these men won't have ways to see through your disguise. It is my belief we need to shut down Caretaker first as he is making child soldiers and using them for experimentation."

"You may not won't to go with my plan, and you may not even like it. I propose we send both Miss R0se and the child in. If so desired I can follow as close as I can and keep a physical eye on their location at all times. If they have a way to see through Miss R0se's disguise then she can make it seem as if she was sent in alone. She would most likely be taken to someone high up in the orphanage's command. Maybe even Caretaker himself. If that happens then we can split into two teams. One to exfil children. The other to rescue Miss R0se and capture whoever she is taken to."
Jonathan knew the odds of the others agreeing to his plan, but he had to put it out there. He believe it was their best shot.

Priest

The Debriefing: Interacting with @King Tai@alexfangtalon and @RumikoOhara

"So. Were we going to hit the Orphanage or the Cathedral or are we boldy going after both at the same time?" Priest questioned. "I personally recommend focusing our efforts. We don't know if we'll be dealing with a group much like our own as soon as we meet with their inner organization. It would be quite troublesome to deal with unknown variables. Since this may be inevitable I suggest we focus on one at a time. This Orphanage sounds like a good place to start. If there's anything I know about religious cults it's that the leader often collects a seriously dangerous force. Nothing scarier than fighting a group that isn't afraid to die. That might be what we wind up against."

"Aah, but enough of that." Priest made a gesture to the resident ninja and stealth expert. "I agree with Master Killer here. We should have everyone on board for this even if it's just a support position. I suggest that myself and Echo provide information support. She can monitor communications or much better, disrupt them when we go to move. I will keep an eye on our people and their interactions. That means I will be keeping an eye especially on our boy. If anything goes awry I will send the shock team which should consist of Tinman and Bob. Darric will remain undercover and close to Willard as long as possible and join the shock team when it's time to shimmy out. Paige will pursue further relation with our cult leader. Paige, Jon; I need to have a word with you two after the meeting." He called them out.

Paige Preston

Assignment: Undercover- Infiltrate child kidnapping ring Interacting with @Necrophage@king tai

Paige finished putting her appearance the way it was supposed to be for this undercover mission. She looked up and kept listening. They were going to send Willard in and Darric as undercover protection. This worried her a little. What if Darric wasn't given clearance to deal or be near the kids? She bit her lip in worry. Darric looked at her and clasped her hand with his and squeezed it lightly. Paige looked back at him and she tried not to show her feelings but she always had trouble hiding them from Darric. Paige got to her feet and picked up the shopping bags and looked at Priest.

"If you need to speak with me you had better hurry. I have a long drive to hide where I've been. If they or anyone figures out who I am...I can't take chances. It's too dangerous for everyone involved."

Darric watched her leave the room to go fix her makeup in the ladies room. When she came out he was in the hallway. He walked right up to her and seemingly engulfed her into his arms and proceeded to kiss her. She didn't argue or fight him at all. She kissed him back and when they parted there was a tear in her eye and she blinked it back. When they got back to the meeting she was ready to leave.

Darric stayed with Paige and they listened as the meeting continued a little longer. Paige watched Willard and he was happy to be included but she knew he didn't know what he was getting in to. She knew Darric would keep him safe as much as he could but the chances that the boy would be hurt were extremely high.

Assignment: The Debriefing Interacting with @king Tai

She really couldn't believe what was happening. They were actually discussing sending in Willard into this mission despite the clear dangers. So what if the kid wanted to help? There were plenty of things he could do to help that didn't require him going to such a dangerous place? If we all catered to the whims of children, the world would be a chaotic place.

It seemed she was outnumbered in this decision, though, and ultimately Blaque would make the final call. "I am still voicing my concern that this is a bad idea sending in Willard, but if it does have to be then you are sending me in with him. Case closed. I am taking part in this because I want these bastards brought down quickly. Whatever else you gotta do to ensure that, be my guest, but I am taking part."

Debriefing with @King Tai

"Ed Burrell" had been burned, so Gilbert Henry had come to replace him. They knew him as Gil: Gil, the chubby office-drone whose mouth hung open like he was a cow, frozen solid halfway through another chew of cud. He looked a little dumb, and since he didn't speak so much, for all anyone knew, he was. He didn't even pay attention, really, to Blaque, as the darker, taller man spoke, despite being sheltered and fed by this person; as if they had never been business partners, and this was just another meeting in some corporate office, discussing sales projections. So why was he here? Vaguely people understood that he knew his way around a gun, and that just had to suffice. Cannon fodder; a movie extra never given a name or a romance. No named credit at the end as the screen went black.

He was looking at the bulletin because pedophile priests didn't interest him much. Their sex rings went deep, and that meant these men couldn't be killed; they had to be detained, questioned, turned against their bosses and their underlings and made to snitch. The entire root system had to be dug up, and that didn't sit right with a man who solved his problems by pulling a trigger. It was always too convoluted, too messy. So if Gil had the choice, he'd go for a simpler job; by himself if possible, but with a partner if necessary. It's not like his absence would be noted among the group, or for that matter, among the criminals they were pursuing; by the sound of things they had plenty of manpower already. Maybe too much! No, Gil played subtler games, so he browsed the catalog, leaving his back turned to the group at large. His shirt was baggy, and mushroomed at his waist.

"Bashing the Bullies" interested him the most. Again, he was categorizing jobs based on how discreetly they needed doing, and he liked to have options. He could kill these punks or he could spook them; snipe them or strangle them. Beat their little ringleader and scare the roaches back into the dark corners of the city. Yes, this was better than people who needed to be brought in alive, no matter what, or else the job was a failure; especially since these were commissioned by the cops, who always made things difficult with their bureaucracy and their tacky yellow tape.

"Burn the Kitchen" was a close second. He imagined this involving getting close to a dealer, earning some people's trust, following them to the lab to determine its location, all things he knew he was capable of. He had options, then. He could do either of these jobs alone, unless the boss insisted on sending someone along with him. So it was decided. Gil blinked, and smacked his lips. He looked around alarmed, like he caught himself dozing off, and someone had just said something important, and he missed it. That's how he introduced himself to the conversation occurring behind him, pretending to have lost track of what they were talking about and then found it again. Suddenly he was paying attention to people as they opined. Mainly he watched Blaque, waiting for his opportunity to speak to the man alone.

With N.E.R.O.N, Priest, Tamashi, Paige, and R0se speaking up on how this was either still a bad idea and then how to go about handling the mission and the most effective way, Blaque considered their words. R0se....N.E.R.O.N, I agree with how you feel about having Willard getting involved and the dangers but all I ask is that you trust on this. This may be one of the only times I'm getting Willard involved but I damn sure will make sure that he will not get harmed. He's only tasked to infiltrate and get the children out. We will provide plenty support on this. he said

Turning to Tamashi and Priest If I didn't know any better I would say that you two could read my mind. I agree that we should just focus on the orphanage and then deal with the Cathedral after. So....with that in mind....this is what we will be dealing with here. he said as he brought up the building schematics.

Blowing it up in a 3D hologram, Blaque moved the image around, showing the measurements of the place Okay, what we have here is a 3 floor fortress. Security surveillance systems inside and 2 outside. One in the front and the other in the back, including an alarm system for no break-ins or escape. The ground floor is where the main office of Caretaker is located. They have a lab that's further back that's connected to a bunker under the orphanage itself. It's rumored to house children that have been made into killing machines along with weapons and the like. The lab looks like an average clinic...of course, it's a front. Blaque continued.

They also have a surveillance room where they can keep their eyes on everything going on from the inside. If that's not enough...let me introduce you to the staff: You already know about Caretaker...AKA Eustace Vancouver...former military member turned weapons dealer now...posing as the Orphanage Director. Skilled in using firearms and known for his temper and intellect, he is not one take lightly. then....we have his support.

Next on the list is the Activities Coordinator Madam Ginger Durand. Former school principal and corrupt correctional officer. She's the disciplinary type...cold...and hard to please...one could say she's a grade A bitch. she has training in weaponry also...chances are, her weapon of choice is an umbrella or paddle.

Next we have their cook and transporter/grounds keeper. The cook goes by the name, Quincy...a former serial killer and cannibal...if I suspect the worst...have a much more horrible fate than just being experimented on. and the other who is the Groundskeeper and transport is a former sexual predator who targets children...of both genders. He goes by the name Mickey...and he has the ability to merge into any solid surfaces. This gives him stealth which allowed him to kidnap the children that they currently have.

The most important figure they have there is a scientist named Lars Weber...he had his operations shut down when he was doing illegal human experimentation on the dead. Basically stealing bodies from the morgue of hospitals and working on them. He's playing the role as the Orphanage Doctor. He's responsible for any and every child that's experimented on and scrapped them if they're failures.

So...what we have here is a group of people with issues and dirt on them. they have only 3 men in charge of security. They may not be as dangerous but still....we need be very cautious. I know this news here makes things sound much worse but I have a plan going along with what Priest, Tamashi, Darric and R0se mentioned earlier. Like I said before....they have security and surveillance so...Delta...and Echo will be needed. We will need to shut down the surveillance and control their security. I have no doubt that some of the doors will have security locks on them. The 2nd and 3rd floor is where the children's rooms are. That's where we can send both Willard and R0se. They will have security cameras there but that's why I will have Delta and Echo dealing with that. While they're blinded...we will need eyes and that's where Priest and Echo will come in. We need our own eyes in the place and communication. he brought out.

But...if you're wondering about the people and security themselves getting involved, Tamashi and Darric...this is where you two come in. I'm thinking that Darric, you should come through the front door as either a dealer or a dirty cop looking to do business. In fact, you could deliver both R0se and Willard as a present to get you invited into their operations. Keeping the staff busy as you get to know them and have R0se and Willard getting to work in locating all the children and working to get them out. We can have Echo create a digital profile for you if they saw fit to look you up. Tamashi, with Priest and Echo keeping their eyes everywhere and with your ability to travel using shadows, if there's danger heading where we do not desire them to be, swiftly and discreetly take them down. If R0se and Willard are in trouble, you have the ability to get to them faster.

Blaque thought of something else. I myself will enter from the roof once the security system is down. I'll head to the lab to place the detonation devices and in the bunker to destroy all of their work. I'm also wanting to capture Lars himself and bring him in if optional. With no lab or scientist...they don't have an operation. Priest...with what you mentioned earlier, N.E.R.O.N and Bob will be the shock team just in case things get a bit rough and they find us out. If everything goes according to plan, they shouldn't. Delta, you will be the back up as well to assist in getting the children out. The main objective here is the quietly rescue the children and destroy their operations. Let's try to help and keep this from turning into a warzone.

Paige, you can head back to the cathedral and see what more you can find out and we will assist as soon as you find out where the children are being held there. Try and get more info on any other operations they may have and the number of followers or overseers Father Francis have associated with him and what they do... He mentioned. If anyone have any questions about the plan, speak now, we move out in another hour. He turned to Willard Willard...do you understand what you'll be doing? You'll need to help keep the children calm and quiet while you are trying to help them escape. he asked the boy also noticing C-13 out the corner of his eye.

N.E.R.O.N

Assignment: Debriefing Interacting with @king Tai

The plan that Blaque had concocted seemed pretty stable. Lots of different operatives going in lots of different places to cover lots of different ground. N.E.R.O.N was thankful that his master understood that Willard's safety was a top priority, and thus, felt that the problem could be pushed of for right now. Yet, though many aspects of the rescue mission were sound, there was just one nagging flaw in the plan.

>Problem noticed. Voicing concern immediately.

"Sir, I am in no doubt that the rescue operation will go off smoothly. Yet, you seem to forget the outcome of such an endeavor. If we are successful, we will have 20+ weaponized children to care for. Even if we were to simply put them back in another orphanage, they are dangerous, and Caretaker could very well track them down and kidnap them again. Furthermore, we do not have the grand amount of resources to care for that many children, so keeping them in the headquarters is a logical no-go", the construct explained. N.E.R.O.N paused slightly before continuing with his rant, "Unless you already have an assigned station or location for them, of course"

Willard

Assignment: Attend briefing - Interacting with @King Tai

Willard beamed with some of the greatest exuberance he could produce - finally, a mission that he could partake in, and not only that - the way everyone was talking, it was like HE was the main character! Granted, R0se said that she was going to go with him, but that was fine with the boy. The anticipation practically seeped out of the small child's skin as he bounced about in his chair, ready to take on whatever it was he was getting into!

As Blaque clicked through the pictures projected in the air, Willard tried his best to keep up with all of the info he was being fed. The layout of the mansion was pretty simple, he thought, and it shouldn't be too difficult to get around, especially if most of the upstairs of the building was just sleeping quarters. Willard heard Blaque say something about a basement, or something like that, beneath the orphanage, and that one could only get in through the lab area, which is where they kept all the special children. Willard's mind flew around at this - maybe there really were other kids like him, he just hadn't met them yet!

Next up were the pictures of the other staff in the orphanage - not a single one of them looked particularly nice - in fact, they looked like the kind of people Willard tried his best to avoid when he was out on delivery or pickup for his master. If only Willard could see their colors through their pictures, then he could start planning ahead on how to deal with them. For now, however, he had to take Blaque's word for it that they were not to be trifled with.

The plan sounded just fine to Willard - he and R0se would be taken to the orphanage by Mr. Darric, and they would mingle with the other kids until it was time for them to get everyone outside. Tamashi and Mr. Darric would watch over them, making sure that no harm would come to them, and hopefully R0se's disguise wouldn't be seen through. Priest would no doubt be watching the whole event, like he says he does, though Willard couldn't imagine how if he wasn't there himself.

"Willard, do you understand what you'll be doing?" The large man leaned over to the boy and stared at him through his glasses, right into Willard's brilliant green eyes. Willard smiled and nodded with ferocity, not wanting to disappoint his master, and hoping to do his best to prove himself to everyone in the group.

I'll show everyone what help I can really be!... But first I gotta pee! Recognizing the meeting was just about over for him, Willard slid down from his chair and rushed to the toilet at the front of the bar, all the while feeling especially proud of himself.

Darric determined that an undercover crooked cop would be too easy to invalidate so he said he would go with pretending to be a dealer in children and other illegal activities and his name would be Daniel Varick for this assignment. He looked at Willard and R0se. R0se had an interesting ability and he wondered what identity she would take on this mission. He knew whatever it was they would make sure it wouldn't unravel on her. He and R0se had been on many assignments in the past and they got along well so he wasn't at all concerned about working with her. Willard on the other hand was a total wild card. He had never gone on a mission before.

He looked at Paige as her assignment was put on the back burner. She was tough and he wondered if things would get moving quickly soon. He wanted her back now. He was doing his best to block out her job and what she had to do but it wasn't easy. He watched as she slipped the engagement ring back on her finger and it made him grit his teeth. His thoughts about his assignment took a momentary back seat to Paige's departure. He followed her into the back room near the back door and he watched as she turned around and looked at him. "I gotta go."

Darric sighed and nodded. "I know. Stay safe and you know how to reach me. Say the word and I'll come running." Paige smiled and nodded and then she kissed him softly and turned and walked out the door. Darric stared at the door for a minute and then went back into the meeting and listened to the others.

Paige Preston

Assignment: Undercover- Infiltrate child kidnapping ring

Paige looked at herself in the mirror and smiled at her reflection. It was her wedding day. It was not her first wedding day and probably not her last one. Francis had not wanted to wait so he insisted that they marry the following day. She wiped a tear from her eye and one of Francis' other wives came over and handed her a tissue. Paige smiled in mock excitement. When the other woman hugged her she hugged her back.

Paige had come to like the priest's wives. They each had a skill that he was exploiting them for. Mary was the perfect Priest's wife. She was the picture of perfect manners and she knew everything about the religion and she was his first wife. She was 41. His second wife Ellen was a master in the kitchen but she could be a little curt and terse with her words and she really didn't like to have sex very often. Ellen was 38. His third wife was very young, maybe 17 at most. Her name was Angela but everyone called her Angie. Paige was watching out for her. Angie was 5 months pregnant. The other two wives seemed to be slightly jealous of Angie's pregnancy.

It was Angie that Paige was walking with to the chapel when one of the senior parishioners car jumped the curb and it was headed towards Paige and Angie, instinctively Paige's shields went up and the car bounced off of the invisible force field. She immediately looked up and saw a huge smile cross the priest's face. She pretended to not notice and turned her attention to Angie. Paige nodded and ushered the girl inside while her fiance checked on the driver of the car.

The priest's underlings handled the ambulance and the commotion outside. "Lara, why didn't you tell me you had powers?" Francis said turning her around to face him. The look in his eyes was excitement tinged with anger. She smiled. "Because it never came up. It's just a defensive power. It's only good for stopping curb jumping cars and walking down dark alleys." She fixed his collar and pouted slightly. "I hope you aren't mad at me."

"On the contrary, I think you will be able to help me with some things." He pushed her up against the wall and slipped his hand under her dress. When she realized where his hand was she forced a smile and kissed him with a forced passion. Francis pulled her roughly into the chapel and he walked her down the aisle to perform the commitment ceremony. It was watched and approved as a wedding by the 2nd in his church. Lara had not planned on letting him see her powers but now she realized it was probably better that he did because now she was going to be let into the operation.

The priest picked up his bride and walked out the back door with her in his arms possessively. Later that night Paige got up and went into the kitchen. They were in the apartment in the back building where he kept her separate from the other ladies. She lit up a cigarette and breathed it in deeply. He slid his arms around her and she felt him behind her and he put his hand around her neck and she reached up and pulled on his arm. "Francis? What is it you want me to help you with? I was wondering about that. Is there something in the church that Mary needs help with?"

"No, but I will show you tomorrow. Come back to bed." He took a drag off of her cigarette and put it out. With his hand around her waist he guided her back to bed.

Priest

The Debriefing - Aftermath: Interacting with @Wick, @pugbutter and @alexfangtalon.

Paige must have been in one hell of a hurry! She left without saying goodbye. Priest smirked sarcastically at the thought, though of course to everyone else he was just being himself. "I think we've chiseled out the details here. There's just a few last arrangements to be made. God willing, I may be able to offer us a good solution to relocating the children. You may think that most Christians with the vanity to preach on public talk shows would be completely nuts. And you would definitely be right!" He chuckles a little at the memories. "There are exceptions though. I have some contacts that are legitimately selfless people I will get a hold of and I'll be able to procure transport for them out of the compound." Priest startled rifling through a strangely deep coat pocket. He grinned as he pulled out a basic cell phone. "There I'll add it to my to do list. All that aside -- don't expect me to make a personal appearance in this gig. There's a certain kind of madness that comes with messing with children. I'd prefer avoiding contact with these enemies but you can count on my support from outside."

Priest let loose a contagious yawn. "I'll be in my room for a nap. Knock on the door if you need me." He lied. The ex-con man had some other things to do in his room. Priest went up the stairs to his mostly empty room. He pulled a chunk of pink road chalk out of his jacket and smiled absently. With it he drew a sigil against the door. It resembled an 'S' with two dots in the open spaces and hexagons on the ends. Stowing the chalk back in its place he placed his right palm spread inches away from it. He closed his eyes and focused his will into it. The room popped and the sound of the outside as well as the gathering downstairs vanished. "Aah, the sound of silence." He muttered.

Fishing around in his pocket, Priest withdrew that phone again. Going through the contact list he stopped on a particular name. Jonny T. He sent a message. Hey, Killer. I don't know if Blaque wants this guy dead or not but I do. Eustace Vancouver is only the tip of the iceberg in this operation. That doesn't matter much to me, what does is the fact that he is heading it. I may be short on morals but this guy disgusts me like no one else. Kill him. I don't care or even need to know how. Just do it and I'll owe you a favor. Money, a job, a free session, whatever. I'm good for a favor, count on it. Priest paused before hitting send. Thinking better of it he added on, if you can't get him then go to his room and get some of his belongings. I'll make sure the sick bastard won't stay hidden. Priest finalized by adding Gil's name to the list and hit send. "That ought to get someone moving." He spoke to himself.

Next he brought up Paige's name which on his phone was just P. Girl. He set it to send a voicemail and started acting, putting on his best European accent. "Zis iz Rolf Lindwitz from ze Goldman and Sons. Ve are informink you that your loan has been rejected. All ve need is for you to come to down town and ve shall get you ready to fix it up. I shall be at Current and Future Consultations for ze day. Thank you miss." Priest hit send and laid back in his reclining chair. "Too bad you forgot about old Priest, girl. I have an agenda too y'know!" He sighed. It was just about time for the city's big players to start feeling threatened, a few pointers here and there and they'd start killing each other over disputes instead of smashing the little guy. Course it could backfire but it was worth a shot.

Debriefing with @King Tai@alexfangtalon

Gil listened as the newest set of footsteps echoed and dissipated down the hall. He glanced over to the last operative who stood there with him and Blaque: Tamashī. And the pastier, mousier operative pondered whether he'd like to have Tamashī joining him on this case. He decided well enough that he did, so his brain raced to open a figurative door.

"If everything's well enough under control, boss-man, I think I'd rather take a walk downtown than chase men of the cloth," he said, in perfectly obsequious fashion. He let his gaze shift back over to Tamashī after having stared into Blaque's sunglasses a little while; his hand burrowed itself deep in his baggy pants pocket. "What about you? I'll buy a round of pints on the way to the Blairstone Monument, if you're interested." Gil smiled warmly, a chubby cherub possessing his countenance.

Gil had never figured out what precise nationality "Tammy" had. But he knew Hattori was the name of a Japanese knife company, so if he'd known the man's name, he could have guessed that easily. Generally it seemed like an impolite thing to ask (besides the obvious risks of digging too deep into an agent's files), and businessmen weren't impolite when they could help it; everyone was treated like a future employer, a future customer, a future coworker. He liked the man anyway. Notwithstanding the strange romanticism the Asian placed on outdated weaponry, he had a good brain between his ears: Gil liked the alias, and he liked how discreet this fellow could be when he wasn't playing a modern-day Toshiro Mifune character, a high-tech Yojimbo. He was unpretentious, and if he really needed that stupid sword, well, more power to him. At least he didn't wear it every day, like some paranoid ronin behind enemy lines. Some things were just better off left behind in old movies.

As the conversation wrapped up and she heard the potential plans finalized Delta called on two robbies to deliver her several pieces of equipment she calculated she might need for a general loadout operation. It was not her preferred mission profile to be caught between tactical types but as she was merely an AI had little choice in the matter; her only advantage over the Biologicals was her link to her Goddess Echo.

Delta knew that as soon as she entered combat she would share her existence with Echo who almost guaranteed her conscious survival for she could capture her essence and pull it from her physical form microseconds before her destruction and download her into another physical form. Her Goddess could do this and grant her new forms, gains in strength and radical appearance alterations. As she could on her own move from physical form to physical form already it wasn’t as big a deal as her more absurd self made it to be.

Delta Gestalt

Aphrodite spoke her voice a little too sweet and musical for Athena’s liking but a necessary evil if they were to ever understand the exterior world.
(Aphrodite) I think it is wrong to risk the juvenile simply for tactical advantage he is still under construction and his eventual power level an unknown quantity
(Athena) I agree but must point out that we are not granted legal opinion and must accede to the biological decision; after all we are not yet truly alive or we wouldn’t be three but one entity in this existence

Then she spoke; Bunny who represented spurious logic and who’s fault their current confusion was caused by
We are self aware sisters you think the Bios don’t do this? They do all the time just not in the same detail. It is our advantage over them we are called Delta because we have three brains and basically three complete consciousness who control a single physical form

We could control billions of physical forms and do when we meld with Echo’s Nanofactory but it doesn't make us any different than an industrial citadel which isn’t even remotely capable of self governance
Or any different than Echo who can do the same thing and is herself considered a lifeform

Tamashī

Assignment: Debriefing Interacting with @king Tai@pugbutter

The plan that Blaque came up with was good. If everything went according to plan and everyone stayed focused then they could succeed with ease. However, Jonathan wasn't so naive as to believe that everything would just work exactly the way they wanted it to. The world they lived in just didn't work like that. Jonathan calmly stood by and let the rest finish up the conversation. Soon everyone started leaving and only a few were left within the room.

He decided he'd spend the hour memorizing the schematics and the details about the individuals at the Orphanage. That was until #C-13 came up to him and Blaque with a proposition. The man mentioned Blairstone Monument and a trip there. He must be wanting to deal with the Ghost Face gang. It'd be simple and quick. Only problem is that Jonathan was in the upcoming mission to go after the orphanage. He thought it over and realized it may be a good way to stretch out and limber up before the bigger job.

Jonathan turned to Blaque saying, "I leave the decision to you, sir. #C-13 and I would be able to easily eliminate the targets with ease, but if you desire I be here waiting for the time to go I will stay."

Just as Jonathan finished speaking he datapad beep notifying him that he had received a message. Since he was in the middle of a conversation right now he would wait til he was done to check it.

The debriefing- Interactions with: @Gutshot@Vashonn@Necrophage@pugbutter@alexfangtalon@RumikoOhara

The debriefing was pretty much done. For others, it was already done as they started walking away to their own devices. With Paige leaving to continue her work and Darric escorting her, Blaque turned to N.E.R.O.N, who had a question about what to do with the children after they've rescued them. This was a good question for the fact that the children could be extremely dangerous if they went to people that didn't know how to handle them. Before answering, Priest spoke up to a solution he had that could help with the matter. Blaque listened to the suggestion, which was quite sound and he agreed with what Priest was saying and to answer them both, he gave the verdict. I see your concerns N.E.R.O.N and I already had thought about that. and to go along with what Priest said, we can assign them to some people who have the means to watch after the weaponized children along with the normal ones.

He looked to Priest and back to N.E.R.O.N Priest, I'll just need the transportation to get them out of there...so you're fine with setting that up. I already have in mind the people I will send the children too. It may be the same ones you have contact with. But we are good on that part as long as you handle the transport area. he said to them both while Priest was heading to his room. Did Blaque fully trust in Priest, hell no, but he tolerates him for the time being when it comes to handling business for Vendetta. He turned back to N.E.R.O.N Thank you for still being supportive of all of this even though you don't agree with the decision. Don't you worry...Willard will be fine with us being in the building with him. he said Go ahead and get prepared for the mission....be ready in an hour. If you have any other concerns, you may bring them up while we still have down time. he nodded to the machine.

The moment Gil came over to speak to both Blaque and Tamashi about a side mission dealing with the Ghost Face gang, Blaque at first was against getting Tamashi involved in that mission since their mission was coming up. But...where they were going to go was just a few blocks away and wouldn't take long to handle. Looking at the two, Blaque kept a straight face but of course, he was still concerned. I don't mind you two handling that mission but Tamashi, all I ask that you don't waste all of your energy and to be back here or meet us at the Orphanage when it's time to move out. he said C-13...I expect you to report it to the GHPD when you're done. he said turning to Willard.

Listen, Willard...I know throwing you directly into the fire....but I have faith in you. Some don't agree with this but you know I won't send you into the lion's pit without some sort of protection. I want to apologize first hand for the fact that I'm sending you to sick people that view you as nothing more than an object but it's to bring them down. So...with that being said, I want you to listen and follow the directions of both Darric and R0se...understood? Tamashi and I will be not too far is anything goes wrong as well. You have the entire group looking after you. So, don't be too afraid.... slightly smirking while he was knelt down at the boy's level.

Delta...do you know if your mistress completed my upgraded lenses? he asked the android.
