I'm not going to say he didn't have his fair share of bullshit victories, especially near the end, but i liked Yusei and his rather quiet and taciturn style over a lot of the bombast of some other protagonists i could name.
Team Unicorn were like that Inferno Tempest/Jackpot 7 player at your locals who doesn't even care about winning, just wants to see some fun interactions with some silly effects, so i'm okay with them losing. What really grabbed my goat was Team Taiyou. They totally deserved that win and it would have been sweet if they had, but noooo, Card game motoJesus just had to prove he was the best at card games and crush the guys using a normal monster stall-burn deck and using it successfully.
So on the point of our decks. This deck is mostly the one I had way back when a lot of synchros came out. So I'm out of the meta completely. It actually focuses a lot of killing cards that cant be killed by battle since a lot was happening locally, and let me tell you Cyberdarks were never all that good and have little support for the most part. I really made it to be fun, mostly IF I won it was due to a good draw or a mistake on my opponent. Also I had to research wtf these pendulum's and Xyz's were. So I just threw out what I thought would be appropriate for a modern deck(Also how in hell are pendulum scales not broken?). I finished my char sheet tho and changed the deck a little. I also don't think any of us were going to play all too crazy pulling off OTks or FTKs because it wouldn't be fun. I thought it would be like this.
Name: Marion "Cooler" Sex:Male Age: 18 House: Neos House
Duel Disk: Cooler's duel disk appears as a Icy Blue color with a Black outline. Shaped basic rectangle with curved edges. The black outline seeps into the Blue as cracks, several large crack marks where the cards will be placed
Personality: Cooler is a usually a laid back guy during most of the time not dueling. Never taking everything serious, a very happy go lucky kind of individual. During competitive duel's he changes completely. He becomes a lot more serious and tries his best to find out his opponent's deck and beat them. Usually after a duel, he snaps out it. This makes him hesitant to duel for anything more than fun, thinking maybe his deck is the reason for his sudden change in attitude. He is extremely secretive about his past, none really knowing him outside or before he has been in the academy.
History: Born to a Drunken gambling father and a mother who was almost never around. Cooler would usually be with his father, becoming fascinated with card games since a young child. He learned how to play all types of games, his favorite card game being Duel monsters. His father also played, usually when intoxicated, betting his money away.
At the age of sixteen, his Father began to have a winning streak with a deck that appeared out of nowhere. Becoming somewhat known for being one of the best duelist in the 'Underground'. One day during school, Marion skipped his last class to sneak away and see his Father perform a duel. Hoping he could find out why how his Father won so much, as he never truly seen him in action. As he sneaked inside the 'Underground' he found his Father laying on the Floor. His Father was dead with no one else in sight and in his hand he held a Deck. He ran away and got help. As his Father was taken away in a stretcher, his Deck laid on the Floor. Cooler collected the cards that seemed to almost be calling him.
His Father supposedly died to a Heart attack, but Marion never believed this. Cooler felt it had something to do with his deck, maybe something in them would reveal the truth. He tried for a whole year looking for his Father's killer, eventually giving up the idea that his death had anything to do with Dueling or the Deck. He eventually had a tip that the last man his Father dueled worked for the Duel Academy. Cooler made his mission to 'infiltrate' the Academy, while acting as a student he is actually on the search for his Father's murderer.
Wish: To understand his decks connection his Father's Death.

So I did a different thing. I like this a lot better and think it should be more fun to play. ^.^
Name: Matt Ronwell Sex: Male Age: 20 House: Dark Magician House
Matt is fairly tall with short pale yellow hair and a deeper shade of yellow for eyes. His frame is lithe, not overly skinny and certainly not bulky. His face leans on the side of handsome and tends to give him a calculating look whenever in thought, though more usually it has a smile on it.
Duel Disk: An Arc-V laser disk with neon green light
Personality: Matt is a suave character, likable, and quite intelligent. He's very social, going out of his way to include people and make friends. Matt's rather laid-back and it seems impossible to get him angry over anything, always ready to crack a joke. However his seeming inability to take anything serious can be vexing to certain people. Of course he's always ready to take a chance.
History: Matt was born to an average family. Not too rich not too poor, enough to give him a nice new present every now and then but not enough for everything you could want. However his parent's were perhaps too lenient as he was an only child and gave him more than was wise, leading to him being somewhat spoiled. This changed however when he was part of a car crash, his family was very lucky however and no one died. This changed his outlook and life and become overall a much more enjoyable person. He also developed a perchance for games of chance, becoming quite good at them as well. One thing led to another and Matt found himself attending a duel academy. It should be lots of fun!
Wish: To Gamble With God
Deck:
*Winning Streak Continous Spell Once per turn(during either player's turn) when a coin is tossed or a die is rolled put 1 LUCKY! counter on this card. Up to twice per turn you can remove 1 LUCKY! counter from this card to redo a coin toss or dice roll. If this card has 3 or more LUCKY! counters on it: Destroy it.
This monster can not be destroyed by battle, however it does not prevent your opponent from making direct attacks if it is the only monster on the field. Once per turn you may negate the effect of a card that flips a coin or rolls a die. (This is a Quick Effect)

Name: Rumi Yukato Sex: Female Age: 17 (looks younger than she really is) House: Utopia House (as close to the kitchen as possible) Appearance:
Note: She smells like a bakery all the time
Duel Disk: Commercial Duel disk with a few stickers with the name of her bakery on it to remind herself of home
Personality: A very friendly but sometimes clumsy person, She always appears to have some sweets on her History: Rumi moved to japan with her parents to open up their own foreign bakery it gained popularity through Rumi and her parent's dedication but as time went on its few years of popularity dropped as variety bakery started to pop up in japan as well resulting in the bakery shutting down
Rumi now decided to attend a academy through recommendation from a close friend she made when she worked in the bakery herself and is now keeping up with him through written letters
Rumi and her parents moved from Europe to Japan to open up their own bakery to sell a variety of European sweets to the East as there were not many purely foreign shops in at the time they moved in, it was a rough beginning for the shop but after a few weeks her mother suggested she tried helping out at the shop whenever she could, attending the register, baking the goods herself and even standing outside the shop promoting the bakery itself.
As time went on Rumi gained interest in a card game called Duel Monsters through a regular she now calls a close friend. Her friend told her about a deck type that reminded him of the bakery's goods itself called Madolche and gifted her a deck he made himself though he admitted he didn't have enough cards to make it work perfectly.
In the more recent years Rumi's parents and the bakery started to lose their popularity to other more popular mainstream bakeries with a mix of both traditional European sweets and Japanese favorites, which in turn led to the shop closing down even though Rumi tried her best to keep the shop open as long as possible it couldn't be done and she had to accept the fact that the shop had to close but on the last day of the shop being open while having one last visit from her friend for whom she baked her own cookies for she found a mysterious card in one of the mixes she was making not remembering really having any cards on her when she was making them, after showing it to her friend he suggested she could probably get some clues by joining an academy with the promise of keeping contact through old fashioned letters
Edit: I notice 50% of the Ammo crew including Ammo himself is in here (if not they at least showed up once to check it out) Also help my history is horribly written I NEED TO HAVE IT MAKE MORE SENSE

Yay I'm done. Might add more customs tho, if I can think of any.
Name: Carnel Novell
Sex: Male
Age: 19
House: Dark Magician House
Duel Disk: The Zexal duel disk, colored dark brown.
Personality: Carnel is normally seen as a chill and polite guy, perhaps best described as being a gentleman. Wherever he goes, he greets people with kind smiles and polite greetings. If disputes happen around him, he usually takes the time to try to defuse them and make everyone smile again. He may even make an occasional joke if the situation is appropriate. Underneath, however, Carnel is a guy who is easily irritated. Rarely does he find someone he thinks he can trust, and dislikes a certain label that was often placed on him at home. While he maintains a calm demeanor, oftentimes there is a twitch that gives away that part of his nature, usually an eyebrow twitch or a sudden clench of his fist.
History: Carnel was born into a rich family, and given anything his parents could give him. Food, clothing, toys, you name it. He grew in such a fashion along with his older brother, Vincent. One day, a special gift was given to him: his very first Duel Monsters deck. Carnel was curious as to what it was at first, but as he learned more about Duel Monsters, he was ecstatic. As he grew, his love for Duel Monsters grew as well. His brother had taken Duel Monsters as a career and grew to be a famous Duelist.
Carnel wanted to be like his brother, and use his love for Duel Monsters for a career in the pro scene. Many saw this as Carnel wanting to catch up to his brother. As a result, they began to compare Carnel to his brother, and it was the same wherever he went. At first, Carnel didn't mind, but as time passed, Carnel began to notice this, and saw how few people recognized his own achievements. It was always "Vincent's brother" this and "Vincent's brother" that. Carnel couldn't stand it. Eventually, he managed to secure an application to Saotome Duel Institute, where he planned to carve his own path, hopefully without being compared to his brother again.
Wish: To be recognized as a Duelist, and not a person in the shadow of his brother.

@Thecrash20 I know I've let one person have Exodius and I've let a few people have Numbers, but do keep in mind that this does follow from GX and the characters from the series still exist. Cyber Style is thusly still a thing, which you probably understand. We're also going off Japanese names as I've decided right now. That said, you can still have Cyberdarks. Also, while I've denied one person from having multiple summoning methods, it does seem to fit your character quite a bit more. I'd say like I normally do, that your deck might be too strong, but there's nothing in particular that I find objectionable about it. Accepted
One thing I found funny from the original series though is that RYUJI OTOGI actually had less dice based cards than KATSUYA JONOUCHI. Still. You don't even have Dicelops or That Six! The gambler theme is nice, I quite like that. As I've stated, the RP follows from GX which follows from DM, meaning the canon characters still exist.
Man. I gave you all those ideas in the piratepad, but I assume you didn't like them. I'm a little offended, but not really. Like I said, you can save your customs for later.
Your character is sort of reminiscent of MARUFUJI SHO. Though, I'm probably just trailing a train of thought from Thecrash's character since your characters are actually nothing alike. You don't even have roids. I'm not sure if Royal Decree will get in the way of Breakthrough Skill in the grave. I'm also not sure if I like the random style that your character has, especially since random decks don't seem to match your character's personality.
@KOgaming So, something that's been bothering me a little: Is there a reason why people without Solar Legacies still have a wish field? I mean, if I'm reading things right, you've got in the OP that only decks with Solar Legacies can collect duel energy and summon the eternal dragon or however it goes. Doesn't that mean that nobody has any incentive to fight people without them?
@KOgamingafter some thinking having double summons isn't something Madolche needs, Madolche has plenty of ways of summoning Madolche the only problem they have is the fact they can brick
@KOgaminghmm you mind if the solar legacy is just a representation of what her hobby/occupation was before showing up in the academy? like literal nothing to do with Madolche or anything
@KOgaming My search my gambling cards didn't turn up 'That Six!' which I didn't know existed, mind if I swap that in? Dicelops is a bit too risky for me. Also kek, name steal is stealing, want me to change or we good? I did it mostly for kicks and giggles to see if anyone would notice. XD
