So, recently in a status update I mentioned this thing, which happened with a group of acquaintances in a Costa.

Some Chick: "So, where are you from originally?"
Me: "Oh, I lived in Toronto when I was younger, but I've lived here for so long I might as well be a local." (Note, Toronto = Canada, 'Here' = England.)
Her: "Ooh, Toronto... That's pretty foreign right?"


So, I want to know, anyone else had some similar bizarre comment like this made to them?

If you mean stupid things people say then I've got loads!

I was talking to this chick about French fries once and was mentioning cutting the potatoes to put in the oil! She stops me mid sentence and says, "French fries aren't made of potatoes, they're made of wheat!"
