>Housun Orbit

>3 Weeks Before the Battle of Housun

The doors to the Bridge slid upon as a fanfare of Imperial boots standing to attention upon the arrival of their superiors echoed throughout the hallway and bridge itself. Aboard the Interpreter, everything seemed to run quite whilst the heavy steps threw sounds and reverb between each corner, doorway, desk and Naval Officer. Everyone waited in sheer silence as they waited for their freedom of speech to be reawakened once more. It took its time, as he took his time. Beady, experienced eyes bloated around the room, finding a way to analyse every single breathing and animated object situated in front, around and below him. A grin freshened upon his expression as he called out for the room to return to their regular duties as he marched his way slowly towards the viewing platform of the Bridge.

A glisten flickered in his eye as stars and beams of light shimmered from the surface of Housun. Around himself, was not only the crew of the ship, but an armada, more like a fleet, spread far and wide around him. Ships of similar and different classifications, sizes, armaments, engines, builds and shapes dotted everywhere; and to him, this sight was nothing but clear beauty and an example of progress. He'd look back on what the world he hovered over before was like.

A jungle, but on a larger scale. Populated with major rebel factions and regiments throughout massive urbanised sectors, blending into the Jungles with thick fortresses. It was quick and steady company, ones that had their guns pointed to the skies with the knowledge of the inevitable snowplow that is the Imperial Navy. Though they could've proven to be a threat to some fleets of the Galactic Empire, they were unfortunate enough to be left with an Admiral with more than enough experience on his plate to make-do of the scum ridden surface. Orbital strikes, for three days, constantly, left the planet crippled in Major areas, forcing almost every single Rebel Soldier and Pilot to flee the planet entirely. It was beautiful when he had the chance to order turbo-lasers to fire upon micro-fighters fleeing. And so, the facilities were built, boring parts came into place. Cities were liberated and held. Housun was theirs, all in the space of three days.

They'd call it the Battle of Housun, but the fact that there was no battle stopped them. It was more of a demonstration as to them not needing any old super-weapon to deal with the Rebellion and restore order. Old fashioned raids from orbit did the trick. They alwayd do when done correctly. An art. It made the Admiral an Artist. An Artist at War, tactical strategy and political diplomacy. What a man, he was. You'd imagine him at his age to be with a spouse, settled down telling children of his days in command, but duty had called those years of his disappearance. And the Emperor was in on it.

A hooded figure took to his side, with a mystical voice of tranquillity, yet with an appearance that would strike fear into any man, woman or child...Or Gungan. His hands slugged around in fingerless gloves with braces of cloth and materialistic design. His eyes were covered by the very tip of his cowl. A dark aura would be sensed from his body, as he was definitely one alongside the dark-side of the Force...

"Word from Captain Frei states that the all Rebel forces have been eradicated, and we still remain in hold of those found...sneaking within our facilities..." His voice was too calm for the pose, stance and appearance. Almost ironic; yet the calm tone made it more chilling to those who'd face him blade to blade.

"Remarkable work, Master Noialat...I'll ensure news of your achievement is sent towards your mentor and master for full appreciation..." He felt his hands curl around the handle of his military cane. "It's only a matter of time before the completion of this project. Years and years of dedication has gone into this, Noialat. But this is no sign to lower our guard and vigilance. We have a tough few weeks to complete our first vessel and begin testing, but we're closer than we ever thought we'd get."

"Admiral Hucke...If I must interrupt you of your self-praise and lecturing, where are you planning on posting such hostages of the Rebel Alliance? Captain Frei is in dire need of immediate briefing."

"Hmm...Place them on the Facility within the Sector HK2...It was only yesterday that we caught them trying to send out a singal, and we intercepted it before anything vital could be said...Might as well keep them somewhere where they'll talk to us. Rally the transports...We'll be heading down before dusk."

>One day after...

The man saluted his superior, before walking off towards where he was directed to. The hanger was buzzing with life, almost as much as those on Yavin IV. It was remarkable how the Rebellion had developed. From small-time fighters to a military opposition for the Galactic Empire, Jy' Sar Kelko was far more impressed with the initiative of so many against a punishing and relentless adversary. It was quite emotional to hear, as well, that every-day more and more would sign up into the ranks of the Rebellion with the intent on setting the Galaxy free, and to restore the Republic to its former glory.

He continued his trek. Past the X-Wings, the B-Wings, A-Wings and Y-Wings all stored within the Base's one-of-many hangers. Each one with a buzzing crew around doing routine checks, or prepping for missions, as the occasional spacecraft would lift from the ground and fly out of the massive blast-doors. If he were one of the newer Rebels that he was going to meet, it'd be a time for hyperventilating over how immensely amazing this sight was. But he was an experienced member and fighter now...It would be unprofessional to do so, no matter what he thought.

Jy' moved onward, outside the blast-doors of his current Hanger. His armour was in place, a blend of a dark Rebel Forest and Jungle camouflage that would suit the majority of their destination. He said their, and that was because of his knowledge on where they were going. He wouldn't be surprised if those he was about to meet weren't fully aware of what they'd entirely signed up for. Nonetheless, they were there, all formed up in a rank of 52, not including Captains Gesplal and Irona of course, as he walked over. His A280 dangled from a sling wrapped over his shoulders, as he casually strode towards their briefing. They'd be waiting on Jy' at this point, and the brief introduction and welcome to the team would've been dealt with. However, the full-brief of the Mission was down to Fireteam Leaders, Fireteam leaders like Jy' Sar Kelko.

Upon arrival, he moved towards the line of fellow experienced Rebel fighters. Some looked more agile, some more strong, some smaller and some of different species. None of them he recognised, but he'd have to be able to soon seeing as they'd be working with one another for days, weeks, months or years...Depending on what the survival odds were.

Captain Gesplal turned towards the line, seeing that Jy' had finally arrived. From that indication, she'd turn back towards the silent group who stood ready for their next order. And so, the Officer's barking began to take place, as the orders began to sling out like an avalanche on Hoth's mountain ranges.

"Alright. Forest V, these individuals to my right are some of the volunteers, much like yourselves, who've been selected from many similar to their position to lead smaller groups of 6 on average, spreading amongst the Platoon to provide designated ICs and command teams for combat and general duties. You've all been assigned to a specific soldier. I'll send them on board first, several on each of our three ships. Go to your assigned Fireteam Leader in the dormitories assigned to said Fireteams. You'll place your personal gear into whatever storage is there and we'll be lifting off-ground within a few minutes...Off yeh go!"

Jy' Sar Kelko and the others quickly rushed to their assigned ships. Jy' was specifically assigned to the Redeemer. The Consular-Class Cruiser was the more life-style ship for the trip, compared to that of their YE-4 Gunship. And so, he travelled up the ramp, moving into his designated 'Dormitory'. It was more of a storage room remodelled to act as a makeshift dormitory. Though the beds were going to be comfortable, it still could've been a lot better. As soon as he began to fling his bags and weapons into his designated corner, the door slid open once more, and a gradual increase of bodies of all different sizes entered the room. He hadn't counted how many there were specifically, but once he was sure that no more were coming through, he looked up, helmet still on.

They looked at him, and he looked at them. It wasn't the best first impression, 15 seconds of silence. Before long, he cleared his throat and took to his feet, stretching his head around and staring at all the tops of their heads. It was a head-count, but he lost count almost instantly when he started talking. He kept his tone low, and his voice loud enough to project through the room.Breaking the silence, was never his speciality.

"Right...Shift around, shift around...Before you all start running to your dorm's beds and lie down or whatever the fuck...You will have to bare with me...Name's Jy' Sar Kelko, or Jyk or Sar or whatever you want to call me, just as long as it's close enough. First thing's first...I'm getting to know you lot, right here...Right now. Reason why? Because you're my Fireteam, I need to know who I'm working with. You don't like it? Tough. Get in line to my position then you'll get time to make the rules...Right...One at a time. Name, age, original Alliance Job and...I don't know, a bloody Interesting fact about you or something..." Jyk was very happy with his assertive, yet calming tone. Straight off the bat, confidence...Hopefully it meant something to them.

Kea was laying on her bed in the Dormitory with manuals and books all around her. She was rereading them for probably the 100th time but she knew she would need to learn everything she could to be the best Engineer. She was currently reading a manual for a YT-1300 light fighter that was everything from the electrical set up to even engine repair. The more she can learn the more helpful she will be for the long run. As she was reading the page she saw the doors open up and a tall human walked in and looked around at everyone. She stood up putting her book down on her bed and walk towards the front of the room. She knew he was someone she would have to impress knowing that some women were not really the best fighters. She knew they would fail if they did not have her...but they didn't know that yet. He said he wanted everyone to give a roll call basically. An interesting fact about me? I cant think of anything... She thought to herself trying to think of something.

"Hello. My name is Kea Un-Hako. Kea or K is fine to call me by. I am 25 years old as of 3 weeks ago. I am one of the best Rebel Engineers you will ever have. And I am fearless. I do not fear danger in the slightest." She said trying to find a way to sum herself into a few simple words. She did not want to overload him with facts that he probably wouldn't even remember later on. She just hoped he would remember her when he was in need of her help. The time will come when he will need help and she wanted to be the first one to assist whenever possible. She looked back at her books wishing she had grabbed one to read while people spoke.

Don couldn't really say much as they recruited him onto the ship. Well..not that he had to. All he could write on his notepad for them to see was, "Thank you." Reality, he was extremely excited for this mission. The sniper could be misinterpreted as a silent and deadly fellow but he wanted to speak...but just couldn't. Spending most of his time in his room so that he wouldn't bug the others on board, he attended to his DLT-20A Blaster Rifle...adding a few adjustments to the scope until he was suddenly called.

He studies all the new people besides himself, especially the rather aggressive captain. Hopefully, this captain was a much calmer/kinder person on the battlefield...and when he said that they all had to speak, Don had a look of shock on his face. He immediately starts taking out a notepad and paper, drawing quickly on it before they could choose him. When they did, the notepad was shown stating this:

"Don, Marksman. Nickname: Mute. I like hugs. Can't speak. Throat messy...can shot really well!"

That takes care of things hopefully as Don puts down the notepad as the adult sits back down.

Jy' Sar Kelko looked between them as they began to introduce himself, a slow hand reached his face as he let out a thin sigh. One of his first major assignments, and he was with a few individuals who looked like they'd need more effort in impressing him. Yet they were someplace where he was too, and he had to respect them for who they were...But still, it didn't hurt to show what he truly felt so far. His hands pointed towards the Marksman. He was a threatening looking individual who looked like he knew his way around the rifle he held, but something...Something was off.

"Right...Don, is it? I'm gonna be brutally honest with you, and everyone here. It's what I'm supposed to do. I'm the Leader, leader is hated, leader understands soldiers, leader and soldiers potentially get along. It's what I plan on doing...But if this view of a lack of vocal communication is truly a misfortune for yourself...We, us...We're all going to find it difficult to talk to you...Verbal communication is vital...What if we were contacting you through a radio, and so?"

He waltzed away before any response could be said. This was his spotlight and place to talk, shine and prove himself as a dedicated future leader. If only he were perfect at it like some of the other Fireteam leaders. If only...

"Engineer...I suppose...You aren't the one who states whether you are one of the Best Engineer we could have...If Captain Gesplal or anyone higher tells me you are, then we can say you are. Until then, I want you to prove it to me...It's a big claim, and to be honest...You don't want to have the responsibility of everyone's lives as a weight on your shoulders...Because if this is over-confidence, I'm suggesting you smarten yourself to realism. If not...We'll wait and see until then."

Jy' knew that he had not fully introduced himself, and that was for the soldiers themselves to put the effort into to discover and achieve. Whether it happened quickly or slowly, it was down to them to put the effort into it. He wandered towards the door, slinging his rifle back onto his shoulders as the ship jolted from the feelings of lifting from the ground. He looked back towards his newfound companions and smirked, nodding with the signs of belief in them.

"Anyone wants to ask me anything...Find me in the viewing room."

Kea was shocked that he said that to her. She just bit her tongue and held it back. She did not want to mouth off to him on her first day. She let out a sigh when he was heading out. Damn her confidence. She should have kept her mouth shut. She grabbed the manual she was reading and sat back down on her bed. All she had to do now was wait for her orders. Soon she would go out into the bay to see if they needed any help. She hoped she would get the chance to prove herself sooner or later.

Don points at his throat and makes a hacking notion as if someone was choking him when the commander says that he should try to speak. He writes up on the notepad before he leaves, "I'll choke...hurts. I'll think of a way. As everyone begin to leave, he watches as the girl who claimed she was the best engineer walk out in a huff and he sighs. Deciding to head out to the bay area to hang for a while and watch everyone working on ships, he even asks...or really writes in his notebook...to ask if they had any parts to spare for just scrap. He was really looking for a laser pointer of sorts...and probably a better set of lenses to reflect some water if he ever had to use his rifle in a rainy environment. Eventually, when the engineer was there, he was extremely nervous when he asks her...probably due to how she claims she's the best engineer around.
