"Hm. Not so fast!" the biker interrupted. The card targeted for destruction was flipped face-up, revealing the card. "I chain in response to High Speed Crash, my quick-play speed-spell card Book of Moon! By paying two speed counters it allows me to target one of your monsters," the Biker clenched his fist at Dokurorider Heisei, "and flip it face down!" Once again, the biker lost speed.

"Going into a battle with prior knowledge is definitely preferred over going without and responding after being affected," Carnel responded to Matt's earlier question. "It's even worse in the case of Kaijus." Before he could respond further, Aya began to explain on her own. Truth be told, Carnel only knew of the Kaijus by the traits they shared, but none of the actual monsters themselves, so seeing one of the cards was some good information to find.

Then, chaos ensued as someone who called himself Cooler interjected himself into the conversation, resulting in a small clash with Aya. Carnel raised both hands between everyone to try to keep the fight from escalating. "Now now, let's not have such hostility between ourselves already," Carnel said ever so politely. "There'll be plenty of time for that on the Duel field, after all." Turning to Cooler, Carnel's polite expression turned into one of confidence as he continued, "As for you, I hope your words are more than just bark, otherwise I'd be disappointed."

As Carnel mentioned a duel-field, there seemed to be a different atmosphere and the color of the area around the bus did indeed change. Had anyone noticed, the bus was in fact going faster, having sped up since it started up again after the motorist had thrown his brick. The bus was inside the Speed World, and fast approaching were the two bikers, monsters and all.

Mr. O'Dell honked his horn twice, signalling for the two to get out of the way. After which, the mysterious biker pulled off to the side of the road, duel runner still on, trailing along the side of the bus.

Along either side, their monsters could be seen- or at least those of the Ghoulish Rider- the only one of the two with a monster on the board.

Marina folded her arms and braced herself for Berserker Soul's impact. Her legs quivered as her Duel Coat's feedback system sent a feeling like hot needles up and down her torso. A sure sign that the duelist in question had been brought below zero life points. She spat into the grass, then looked sideways at Fuubi.

"I suppose truly savoring a match with royalty was too much for a child such as you to handle, yes?"

Marina gave Fuubi a look of pity as she placed her grubby, well-used cards back into the deck, her Duel Coat closing up as it shut down. This poor child had clearly never known what true victory felt like. Both he and his deck were rough, unpolished... But there was potential, perhaps.

"Do not worry; as a future ruler, the great Marina Viktoriya Kohut will accomodate you. Hear me, foolish one! When next we meet, I and my favored subjects shall crush you utterly and without hesitation. Then, and only then, I shall teach you true showmanship. You are understanding?"

Without waiting for an answer, Marina began to strut off towards the next unsuspecting student- then stopped, for a thought had occured to her.

"A word of advice, young one! If this is all your deck can do, you will not survive for long, da? Polish yourself, and perhaps you become a great man."

With that, Marina left.

"I suppose the Absolute Sovereign of the Damned ca-" The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell began before he heard something he damn well was not expecting in a Turbo Duel. A bus began honking its horn and demanding the motorcyclists move out of the way. This did not sit well with the rider forged in Russian Winters.

He did pull off to the side and trailed the bus like his opponent, but he reached into his trusty backpack as he pulled out another brick and hurled it straight at the bus. He raised up his hand, but instead of a middle finger he rose his right hand with the thumb in between his index and middle finger.

"Поцелу́й мою́ жо́пу ублю́док!
я собирается убийство ваш собака!"

He paused for a moment before focusing his attention away from a blood-thirsty rage against the bus. He glanced towards his opponent and continued.

"Screw that bastard. Anyway he can afford a brief nap." Fyodor quipped as Dokurorider Heisei turned the ignition off and flipped face down. The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell glanced at the small hand he had.

"Now it is up to his servants. For now. With that I summon Pyramid Turtle!" The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell placed the ancient and zombified turtle onto the field.

"ATTACK WITH YOUR SLOW AND STEADY SURGE OF FURY!" The Pyramid Turtle snorted as he plodded along to attack the biker with its 1200 ATK points.

Unprotected, the biker was hit with the full brunt of the turtle's attack. "AH!" he shouted, lifting his arm up as a cloud of smoke surrounded his motorcycle. His life points were brought down to 2000. Hit by the attack, his bike swerved, nearing the wall separating their side of the road from the other.

"Is that all!? That attack was quite low energy" he taunted.

"For now?" Inquired the Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell.

"Yeah. What, would you rather have Dokurorider Heisei - Absolute Sovereign of the Damned to be riding after you? I guarantee it'll happen. Be patient while death is creeping near you." spoke the Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell as he gestured towards the biker to finish the turn.

The biker nodded, almost ignoring the bus between them, which had sped along in spite of the duel taking place.

Mr. O'Dell grumbled, pressing down on the gas pedal unimpeded by speed counters, as the bus sped towards Saotome Academy, getting closer in sight as the minutes passed. When the bus drove past, the two revealed to one another once more, the mysterious biker drew his card and the number of speed counters ticked up for the two of them. "Now! I'll activate the effect of Call of the Haunted!" his face down card flipped face up. "Return to me! Crimson Knight Vampire Bram!"

The vampire stood solemnly, floating out of the summoning circle on the ground, making a fighting pose as his full body appeared. "First, I'll activate another Count Up! I'll send The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves and Phantom Knights' Sword from my hand to the graveyard to give me another six speed counters! I'll use the effect of The Phantom Knights of Silent Boots in my graveyard! By banishing him, I can add one Phantom Knights spell card from the deck to my hand! And I'll choose..." his deck dispensed another card... "Speed Spell - The Phantom Knights' Rank-Up-Magic Launch! While I have 4 or more speed counters, I can pay 2 speed counters... then target a dark xyz monster with no materials on it. I'll choose Crimson Knight Vampire Bram!" The vampire that had appeared had then disappeared in a flash of crimson light, flying into a swirling shape in the air.

"Rank up! Dark Xyz Change! Spread your wings oh ruler of the night! Rank 6 Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon!" the biker announced. Heralded by a blood-curdling roar clearly audible by those in the bus, a dragon-like entity floating on broad, bat-like wings covered in scales of black, red and silver. Its face was covered in a mask and it had a blonde mane which shined even in the garish daylight.

"That's not all! I'll activate Phantom Knights' Sword from the graveyard allowing me to special summon from my graveyard The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves! Next, I'll play The Phantom Knights of Dusty Robe!" Besides the dragon, a spectral pair of gloves materialized followed by a hooded figure. "I'll use Dusty Robe's effect to target one DARK monster on the field," the hooded figure took a kneeling position, "and by changing him to defense position, I can grant that monster 800 attack and defense! And I'll choose Dragulas!"

Dragulas roared as it was surrounded by a red aura, its attack points increasing to 3200.

"Now! Level 3 Ragged Gloves and Dusty Robe! Overlay! Arise! Rank 3 The Phantom Knights of Break Sword!" In flashes of purple light, the two smaller monsters disappeared, the flashes swirling around one another into a swirling, twinkling mass. Then out of it, a spectral horseman wielding a giant sword, orbs of purple orbiting around it.

"And thanks to the effect of Ragged Gloves, Break Sword gains 1000 attack! Now. I'll activate the effect of The Phantom Knights of Breaksword! I'll detach one xyz material, targeting one card on my side of the field and one on yours! Then, I'll destroy them! Now. I'll target my now Call of the Haunted; and, because of Dokurorider Heisei, I have to target him. Am I correct in assuming that? Go! Destroy his monster!"

The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell had some manner of expression under his helmet. However that would be between him and the Devil. Konstantinovich was watching the incredibly flurry of quick paced moves, which led to many things being summoned.

"FAGGOT, YOU JUST MADE UP THAT CARD! BY THE DEVIL, I SHALL KICK YOUR TEETH IN FOR THAT!" Fyodor yelled out as the clearly forged and ugly designed dragon was placed onto the field. Many other moves happened which led to a familiar event that Fyodor had to deal with.

Dokurorider Heisei - Absolute Sovereign of the Damned once again had vehicular troubles. His motorcycle exploded into another fireball of a display. And as to be expected, Heisei rode out of the fireball. Inside that fireball was Skull Servant who simply saluted Dokurorider Heisei before his bones were burned black and he faded away into the aether.

"Skull Servant, your banishment is in duty to the Absolute Sovereign." The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell glanced at the mysterious biker. "So do you have another thousand moves to bore me with?"

"Your monster is quite the obnoxious one." the biker spat as the Ghoulish Rider's bike-riding skeleton monster reappeared before their eyes. "However. Very well. Then with Dragulas the Vampiric Dragon, I shall strike at your monster! With no other option, Dragulas will strike down Dokurorider Heisei - Absolute Sovereign of the Damned. Go! Eternity Dark Burst Stream!"

The dragon (or wyrm really), soared into the air, as the sky darkened slightly. Dragulas spread its wings and raised its head. With another roar, its maw opened, spewing forth a burst of black energy, the beam shooting straight toward Dokurorider Heisei. Then, with a powerful explosion, Dokurider, as expected, remained. It would not stay for long, however, as the last of this monsters in the grave were used up.

The spectral knight was the next to strike, its horse galloping alongside Dokurorider Heisei's motorcycle. The two exchanged blows, and in the explosion, Break Sword's armor had split apart, and in its place, The Phantom Knights of Ragged Gloves and The Phantom Knights of Dusty Robe, both in passive postures. They were in defense mode, unable to attack over the Fyodor's turtle.

"And now that I've defeated your ace monster, I will end my turn." the biker declared.

The Ghoulish Rider recovered from a brief skid he had from the aftermath of the first blast. He drove back into position on the road as he saw Dokurorider Heisei - Absolute Sovereign of the Damned survive another attempt to dethrone him. However, he had no more servants in the grave he could sacrifice when the knight came charging forth. Pyramid Turtle snorted lethargically as the other biker finished his turn.

Fyodor paused for a moment as he allowed the other biker to enjoy a smug sense of satisfaction. It would make it so much better when he broke it. The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell glanced towards the biker and began laughing.

"YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN KEEP HIM DOWN!?" He placed his hand over his deck. "Devil, grant me the infernal weapon to send him into the brimstone." Without looking at the card, Fyodor drew it from his deck.

He took count of his speed tokens. He then took note of his monster field. And then, of course. He took note of his Spell & Trap Zone.

"Do you remember?" The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell remarked as he wagged his finger at the other biker. "The beginning of this duel?"

He took a dramatic pause.

"I placed TWO cards down in my SPELL AND TRAP ZONE! WATCH IN AMAZEMENT!"

He flipped the card up to reveal Call of the Haunted. On the roadway a single graveplot opened as engines were roaring.

"DOKURORIDER HEISEI - ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGN OF THE DAMNED LIVES!" Fyodor shouted out as he slammed his newly acquired card down.

"AND GUESS WHAT!? I HAVE SPEED SPELL - FINAL ATTACK! SINCE I HAVE FIVE OR MORE SPEED COUNTERS, I CAN REMOVE TWO OF THEM! DOING SO DOUBLES THE AMOUNT OF ATTACK POINTS MY MONSTER HAS!"

Dokurorider Heisei's engines were burning oil to the absolute limit and it made one hell of a purr as his attack went to 6000. The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell pointed straight at Dragulus.

"SHOW THAT LIZARD WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO DETHRONE THE BEST! KILL!" Dokurorider Heisei - Absolute Sovereign of the Damned glowed with a hellish aura as he rode straight out of the graveplot. As he was riding through the sky towards the Dragon, he began to drift and slid. With a satisfying slam, his wheels began tearing through Dragulus with ease.

A massive fireball, soaked red in blood, exploded overhead with the force of a supernova. The duel field around shattered apart as Dokurorider Heisei made the killing blow.

The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell drifted onto the campus grounds as he performed a finger gun shot gesture at the mysterious rider.

The biker waited patiently watching the Ghoulish Rider make his move.

"What!?" the biker shouted in amazement as Fyodor activated his speed spell. With its attack connecting- the biker, with no cards that could save him- had lost. He burned out in a firey explosion as Dragulas was slain.

As the duel ended, so did the bus ride. Following Fyodor, the biker skidded onto the outside parking lot, where various cars, mostly of the teachers, were parked. The biker had gotten off his duel runner, the disk disengaging, clicking off his bike. Rather than being strapped on his arm, it was held in his hand. The biker removed his helmet revealing his face.

"Your dueling was dark and passionate. Fitting, for another champion of the undead. I am Fushi Ryunosuke, the Phantom Duelist of Saotome. This will be my last year here." Ryunosuke reached his hand out, gesturing for them to shake.

Mr. O'Dell, before opening the door to the bus, had given everyone a brief explanation of what was going on. On their way out, he handed out maps of the school accompanied with various instructions, telling the students first to head towards the offices to fill in their paperwork.

The offices were located within the classroom buildings, the closest classroom being repurposed for administrative work that the students had to do in order to enter the school. Afterwards, they were sent toward the shop by the cafeteria where they would be fitted for their uniforms before being sent back to the offices where they received the key to their dorm room.

Fyodor glanced behind him and saw that his opponent dismounted from his vehicle. He removed the cards from his slot and returned them back into his pack, which he zipped shut. Shortly after that, The Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell got off of his Duel Runner and turned it off, and kept his duel disk firmly attached into his runner. He swaggered over towards his mysterious rival, who complimented his performance and then revealed himself.

The motorcyclist nodded at Ryunosuke. He reached out his own hand to shake Ryunosuke's. "I'm the Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell."

After waiting for another dramatic pause, Fyodor spoke once again. "Fyodor Leo Konstantinovich. You get that only because you provided a good chase and appreciate the damned."

He let go of the Phantom Duelist of Saotome's hand. Fyodor began walking away and shot another finger gun gesture at his fellow rider. "Remember to cross roads at Devil's Crossroads before that year is up."

With that he walked off.

Fuubi fell to his knees, sparkling tears streaming down his cheeks, rivers of snot cascading beautifully down his chin.

"She is right... MY SHOWMANSHIP HAS FAILED!! I wasn't ENTERTAINING AT ALL."

He toppled onto his face and passed out.

Matt handed Aya her card back as they were all quickly shooed off the bus. He was going to continue the conversation but he was rather suddenly assailed by the unmistakable scent of fresh bread. Mhmm. A quick look revealed the source to be a little girl with a spread of baked goods, seemingly advertising them. Matt of course, having eaten naught but a bit of airplane food for quite a while was feeling a bit peckish and quickly made his way over. "So how much is going to have to come out of my wallet for one of these delectable morsels?" He asked with a knowing grin. The girl was exceedingly small, to the point that Matt was unsure if it was bring your kid to work day or she was actually attending. Either way, the important thing was she had bread. Nice, warm, soft, bread...

Rumi looked up after being approached by someone which seemingly seemed to be the first person to approach her "Hmm? No, I baked these myself you can just grab one! I was worried that people might get hungry or skip breakfast before getting here so I baked some to give away though I have to admit I used to work at my parent's bakery so I can't really stop sounding like I'm trying to sell things" Rumi responded to the boy's answer though she kinda looked a bit depressed when she said "used to" but quickly perked up if Matt listened closely you could hear a faint European accent coming from her "Bread right? Don't you want some cookies with that? I baked these to go with them" Rumi quickly asked passing a piece of bread (At first sight it looks like regular bread but most bread made were slightly sweeter than regular bread, as for the cookies are your basic checker cookies) over to him and waving a small bag of cookies around, "I just want to leave a good impression on all the other possible classmates I will have attending here" Rumi had a slight suspicion he thought she was a kid but shrugged it off and introduced herself

"My name is Rumi, Rumi Yukato, the little baker from Europe" Rumi put her hand on her chest proudly with her introduction but peeked back at her bike nervously which seemed to be a bit larger than her seemingly unsure where she has to park it but spoke up "Before you go... can you help me bring my bike to my dorm room after I pick up my dorm key? There are no bike racks here so I might have to park it in my room... it's special to me you know" Rumi asked rather suddenly after looking back at the boy "You don't have to I'll just have to work hard to get it there, I noticed there are stairs there so I may need some help" She commented about the situation while trying to pick up her oversized bike basket which she surprisingly has a hard time carrying silently mumbling about it being too large for her "I'll be back after I pick up my key!" She called out to those who would still be interested in getting some free food

A blue-haired girl, already in her school uniform, had just walked into the center as Rumi was getting ready to leave. Her stomach growled, having only had an apple for breakfast. She was trying to save her money so she could eat a heartier lunch later. As she casually walked by the aroma of the contents of Rumi's basket caught her attention.

"...Free food?"

She ran over to the girl and stopped right in front of her.

"Oh...uh, I can carry that for you if you don't mind. You look exhausted having biked all the way here with that heavy basket. You need to go easy on yourself."

"Whoa, its all free?" Matt asked in surprise as he was handed some bread and cookies.
Apparently she simply wanted to leave a good impression. She introduced herself as Rumi Yukato the little baker from Europe. What a strange girl. Rumi also said something about her bike being too big and asked he would lend a hand. Before he could reply a zealous blue-haired girl already in uniform rushed over, excited by the prospect of free food, and offered to carry the oversize bread basket for her. Raven pondered how Rumi had gotten here in the first place when everything was evidently too big for her.

That and her business sense was severely lacking if she was giving out bread for free. She could probably make a killing here if she actually sold her bread. Either way the food more than paid for a little manual labor. So Matt started rolling the bike after her, "Not to worry, I'll just follow you to your room-" Jeezus that sounded creepy, move on and hope no one noticed, "Carrying your bike around, its no trouble, especially when I have the this food to energize me!" Matt said. "Ah, and my name is Matt Ronwell, Dark Magician house, at your service."

Surprised by the sudden appearance she simply nodded and said "You are right... I did spend all morning making all this, I was a bit worried about people not taking any of them... A lot of students don't tend to bring a whole lot of funds with then so it all made sense for me to have the first batch free, if I get permission to open up my own bakery here I wouldn't mind it at all but I am pretty certain I'd be breaking campus rules if I did even then I am not planning to stop baking anytime soon" Rumi explained and commented responding to both of them hinting at the box strapped to the back of the bike "I sure hope they will let me use it... I'd love to keep up with up with my other hobbies after all..."

Rumi slowly set down the basket for the girl to pick up and carry for her "Dark Magician House? I'm in the Utopia House, with my favorite deck being... THIS!" Rumi pulled out her deck with her level 5 Madolche Puddingcess on top of it showing it off to the other 2 "Wish I made some pudding too..." Rumi silently commented after showing off Puddingcess "What is your name then?" Rumi asked the girl who offered to carry the basket which wasn't particularly heavy just large and awkward to carry for a rather short girl called Rumi and followed up the same introduction she gave Matt.

TURN 2

It was 5 o' clock in the morning when the school bells had rung, announcing that the day had begun. The sky was still dark with just a hint of orange light off the horizon, peaking out from the mountains. Groggy students rose from their beds, quick to get dressed and the hallways of the dorm buildings were filled with the sounds of shuffling feet as students began their morning routines.

--Dark Magician House--

Mr. O'Dell stood at the entrance of the Dark Magician dorm building, where there was gathered all the students of the dorm, lined back behind the wall. The door was still locked, Mr. O'Dell holding a ring of keys, twirling the key ring around his index finger.

"Morning. I'm gonna do some introductions for the newer students. All you older guys can go get your food." Mr. O'Dell said, opening the door for the older students to walk out, though not doing any of the newer students from escaping among the crowd. "Those of you who came on the bus from Tokyo yesterday already know me. If you haven't heard before, I am your dorm leader, Mr. O'Dell. I teach the English classes here and one of the newer teachers at that. Uh... I'm gonna tell you kids a little about myself, then I'll lead you all to the cafeteria for breakfast. Let's see. I'm half-Irish on my dad's side and something else on my mom's side. I'm from Tennesee- born and raised. Been playing Duel Monsters about since I was eight, but never took it too seriously. I still don't take the game too seriously. Went to University in the States, got my Masters in English. I wanted to move to Japan, and so I did. Now I teach English at your school." Mr. O'Dell introduced. He had spoken for about half an hour, allowing students to ask questions in the process, before opening the door for the new students.

--Neos House--

Standing at the entrance of the Neos dorm building was a light skinned girl with black hair and a ponytail on the right side of her head and a red eyepatch covering the right side of her eye. She wore a black blazer, a white shirt, a black tie, and a gray miniskirt: the school's uniform. "Good morning everyone!" she shouted excitedly, clearly a morning person. "I'm Etsuko! I'm the dean's daughter and also the Neos Dorm's leader! Yay! I teach Fusion classes here at Saotome Academy to beginners to Fusion, though my specialty is actually in Destiny Draw Probability Theory! Which is one of the advanced classes in the Composite Summoning course! Um. Any questions!? If not, I'll just get out of the way and let you all go get some yummy breakfast!"

--Stardust House--

Though Stardust House had the second fewest amount of students living within it, there was still as many rooms as the other dorms. That morning, the lobby was far more quiet than the rest, save for the Odd-Eyes dorm which was the most quiet, especially with only first year students.

Dressed in the school uniform with black socks which crept midway up the thigh, a pair of thick, black-rimmed glasses, and her hair tied into a bun was an older woman. Her hair was pitch black, obviously dyed, with patches of her hair grayed at the roots, though her face appeared a bit youthful. In her hand, she held a steaming cup of coffee and on her face in addition to her glasses, she wore a baneful scowl. The woman took a sip of her coffee and sighed before checking her watch and looking back at the students.

"Well kids. It's six in the morning. Whoopee. I'm your dorm leader. You can call me Mrs. Momotani. I teach a good majority of the synchro courses so I'm probably gonna see all of y'alls' faces pretty often, I'm sure. Get used to mine. Lord knows I ain't as pretty as I used to be. Questions? No? Outstanding. Go get your food." she said, making her speech as brief as possible before opening the door and crawling back into her office.

--Utopia House--

"Good morning kids." said the low rumble of an old, Japanese man. "If you came with me on the bus from the train station yesterday raise your hand. Good. The rest of you, I'm Mr. Inoue, the Utopia dorm leader and teacher of the xyz courses. I also teach courses on turbo dueling and duel runners and am the mixed martial arts club leader. If any of you kids are interested, the school's mixed martial arts club, we meet on the roof of this building every Wednesday at 7 in the morning. Hm... what else...? Uh. The designated smoking areas are in the courtyard and generally fifty feet away from all the buildings and where there's a fire extinguisher around. You kids'll probably see me there a lot. If there aren't any questions, I'll just let you kids get your food and go about your day."

--Cafeteria--

There was a large building constructed not more than ten minute's walk away from the dorms. Three stories and with a door on all sides was the cafeteria, a mini mall connected to the south side of it, which was closed for the time being. Three lines were open where students could walk into to get their food, served by machines wearing white aprons and hairnets.

"GOOD MORNING!" a robotic voice droned excitedly, the chef-bot spinning around. "WOULD YOU LIKE AN OMELETTE TODAY, SIR?" it asked. Lined up behind heat lamps were several breakfast items. Platters began the line, after which the server-bots would plop down a bowl of steamed rice served out of a large rice cooker behind them and in plain sight; next to that, a small, warm bowl of miso soup; and finally, the students were all asked if they wanted scrambled eggs or grilled fish. A short walk from that was a small salad bar which featured soy beans, dried seaweed, and pickles. Soft drink dispensers were placed along the walls along with stacks of cups. Various juices, tea, sodas, and milk were all available. The cafeteria itself had three floors, the top two laid across the area over the minimall, giving it just enough space to accommodate the school's student population.

--Opening Ceremony--

Constructed at the far end of the furthest classroom building was a large auditorium which featured red velvet-like seats which folded down. Several balconies were constructed where the school's many teachers sat down, the lower left balcony closest to the stage left empty.

Stepping out on stage was a tall, stocky man with a shaved head and a long, gray beard worn over a black suit. "Good morning everyone. I hope all of you have had a good rest and an equally good if not better breakfast. I'd like to welcome you all to Saotome Duel School."

The man introduced himself as the dean, before moving on to introducing all the staff, faculty, and teachers at the school, including mentioning those who were teaching classes at the moment to the older students and thus could not make it.

"Now. As is tradition, the new students will participate in the opening ceremony familiarization and placement battle royale. Now! What does this mean!? Effective through all of today, new students will all face off against one another with the entire campus as the battleground. All students will start with double the normal amount of lifepoints- meaning you will all be at 8000! However, after every duel, your lifepoints do not return to 8000. The ceremony will last until the last duelist's life points reach 0! Interrupting duels and helping other duelists is authorized, with the new duelist's turn taking place after the turn he or she interrupted! Without further ado, let the opening ceremony truly begin!"

The doors of the auditorium were opened, allowing students to flood out and immediately challenge one another.
