Thanks! It helps that I was able to ignore all other concerns for a few hours while I focused on this highly sophisticated time killer that won't ever show any tangible benefits for myself.

Goodness, I love to roleplay online.

@Nariata oh he's gone? Pitty. I know I've said this before but I'll see about cranking something out in the next day or two. I work tomorrow but I've got a four day off stretch after that so I should be able to come up with something.

Does Heretic's departure mean well open up the RP to one or two more people?

He's not gone, but he has not been online for over half a month and has not posted IC for almost one month. I am doing this just to keep his character with us while we advance through the story as we go forward. The NPC status will be temporary; I feel I can represent his character well from what we have discussed in private. I have seen far too many RP's die due to situations like this.

I am considering opening up the RP for one or two more people regardless of this, however. I may make an update to the Interest Check in the coming days. If you have an additional friends who may be interested in this RP let them know to contact me.

@Nariata I do hate to say this but I think this RP has been pronounced dead.

However that is not for lack of interest or lack of talent. I think the real problem is that it began shortly before a holiday season when no one had any time to work on it. With that in mind would you consider launching a new interest check and restarting the RP. That way we can hopefully draw some new players and revitalize the RP as a whole.

Yes. The holiday season sucked me in, beat me up, and has only recently spit me back out. I just started my new semester at school but, unlike semesters past, I actually still have free time. I think you are right, a restart might be the best course of action for this RP. I will be getting the interest check back up, and get some new blood in.

So after a small hiatus I am back. Long story short my expectations of how busy I would be during the holiday season were evidently too low, and I was hard pressed for time to do anything outside of work and family get together. Now I am still interested in getting this RP back on track, and would love to pick up where we left off but I also think a restart might be in the best of interests for our RP. Heretic seems to have disappeared much like I did, and on further inspection of the grand plot I think we may need a few new RP'ers to come in.

What do you think? Are you still interested in writing for this RP? Would you like to start over, with a fresh IC post and situation and some new faces?

I would be in for restarting, but--like you--I underestimated how busy I would be over the break, and furthermore how incredibly busy I would be when class started again. Starting over with a fresh IC might be prudent given the time that's passed, and it'd give new people a chance to hop on from the start.

I have a lot of other stuff to do, but I should find my pace... eventually. Then I can get my own stuff done and still have time to play as well.
