The headlights cut through into the unknown night. The only light you have other than that is the stars. Your miles from anywhere with still a bit of distance to your uncle's house. You glance in the review mirror. She's asleep. In this moment, it's hard to believe what you know. It's hard to see the eleven year old as a ruthless killer. But you know the truth. The dossier on her sits there on the passenger seat. Even though it is closed, you've read it enough times to practically have memorized it.
The dossier continues, going into details of each assigned mission. The various disciplinary actions taken and training forced upon the child.
Though it says the girl killed 13, you know that number has since increased. Thus why you were here, on the run.
You were far enough away to not worry about a tail. Besides, currently those in Shadowfade were a bit preoccupied with the Feds at the moment. But not all of them would get arrested. Besides, the Feds were not that great either. No doubt they'd take the girl away. A feat of experimentation, there could be a lot they could learn. And even if they weren't going to do tests, they still would probably remove her. She was a danger. But not to you.
The scientist had promised that you would not be seen as a threat. She would listen and obey. Besides, if she didn't you had the secret phrase which when spoken would knock her out.
You turned your eyes back to the road and contemplated your predicament. You hadn't even known about Shadowfade until recently. All of this had been thrust on you. Should you just turn around and turn the girl over to the Feds? They could handle her. If the dossier is right, she is a danger. Or do you use this opportunity for yourself? Using the girl's skills you could no doubt build a little secret empire of crime. You'll constantly stay on the move so no one can catch you but who will stand against you when you had her? Or was that what you really wanted? Would that be what is best for the girl? Your uncle had a place in small, out-of-the way town in the mountains. You could both start a new life there and no one would be the wiser. The kid had seen enough sorrow, why add to it?
Either way, the decision was yours. As you drove along that empty highway you knew that whatever the decision was, your life will be different.
Hi!
Thanks for stopping by.
If you are interested in doing this with me, please let me know.
Depending on which choice you want to do, would depend what other supporting characters I'd bring in.
I usually have 2 MCs (at the least). My other main one is male, probably in his twenties/thirties pending where the story goes.
PM me up if you are interested.
I usually prefer female partners but in this instance I might be willing to make an exception.
