Abilities:
Toby was once a normal, ordinary child until he started to develop psychic abilities. Namely, the ability to read the minds of others. He hears the thoughts of everyone that comes within a certain distance of him; And therein lays the problem. He cannot control this immature ability and he hears
all the thoughts of
everyone near him
at once regardless of if he wants to or not. Reading the thoughts of one person is... uncomfortable but doable, but once more then one person enters his 'bubble' the jumble of foreign thoughts starts to become painful. It is at this point that he will start to get...distressed and if people refuse to get away from him he will full of attack them in order to try and drive them away to make the voices and the pain stop.
Toby hears what he calls 'Aliens', because 'Demons' are not the right word for them. They do not speak in any known human tongue and Toby cannot actually understand what it is that they are trying to say... but there is something about their words that causes his human mind an insane amount of mental stress and pain, easily whipping him into a wailing, laughing frenzy that seems to act at complete random until sometime after the voices have stopped and Toby can try and recover his wits.
Minor Abilities:
In theory, with time and maturity Toby's powers will grow more stable and allow him to do things that other humans can't with his mind. If this will happen is unknown at this date.
Reason for admittance into Luna Sea Asylum:
Murdering his older sister and one of her friends and gravely wounding his father in an attempt to 'Make it stop!'
Biography:
Toby was the third and youngest child in his family, the only boy with two older sisters. He grew up in a loving home and didn't lack for anything major. It isn't until he entered his teenage years that he started to hear the voices of those around him inside of his head... and started suffering the horrific migraine headaches that his 'gift' provided him with. All kinds of medical help was searched for and received, but nothing offered Toby any kind of respite... besides being alone.
One day, Toby heard 'them' for the first time. He didn't know what they said or how long they were saying it for; He didn't remember exactly what happened, but when he came to he had been wrestled to the ground, covered in blood as the knife that had been in his hand laid within his sight. He had murdered his eldest sister and her best friend in a deranged rage and had attempted to do the same to his father when he was trying to stop him.
Extras:
Toby likes to drink peppermint tea if/when it is available. It helps him relax and calm down.
