‘May You Never Yield, May You Never Fail.’

Its a name that has always been associated with bravery, heroics, and serving for the greater good. Men and women, from those possessing the mightiest of powers, to even the most humble and skilled. All have come and gone over the many years, seeking the kind of glory that only comes with joining such an elite team.

That team? The Avengers.

~ First page of the Avengers Academy pamphlet

Created as a response to the growing panic over countless threats like Hydra, mutants and by association The Brotherhood, and many others. Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, or SHIELD for short. Created what was then called The Avengers Initiative. Led by the recently unfrozen World War II hero Captain America, the team has been a symbol of hope in all the madness in the world. Providing not just defense for serious dangers against the world, but aid to those in need as well.

Many have come and gone from the ranks of The Avengers, either voluntarily or from unfortunate circumstances. The two biggest constants of the team though have been Steve Rogers and Tony Stark, respectably Captain America and Iron Man. However even with his peek physical skills Steve finally decided to slow down. Shocking the world when he announced he was stepping down effective immediately as leader of The Avengers. What shocked everyone even more was what Steve Rogers had decided to do with his newfound free time.

Even as a man from the past, Steve always wanted to look ahead. The next new recruits that would lead The Avengers into the next century and beyond. To that end he brought up an idea to Nick Fury that would eventually lead to the creation of Avengers Academy. A private academy that would bring in great young heroes to be. Teach them everything important, and train them in handling their powers and combat scenarios.

The Academy would be a prime target for enemies though. So Nick Fury had it be commissioned to be on the top of a specially made helicarrier. Which ensured a perfectly safe environment that keeps outside distractions to a minimum. The academy however features many amenities for staff and students alike. Not only a state of the art training area that doubles as an athletic arena for basketball, football, soccer, baseball, and even ice hockey. A pair of Olympic sized swimming pools. Plus there is a student lounge filled with video games, pool and air hockey tables, and some of the most comfy couches you will ever rest your rear end on.

While some of the teachers and faculty staff consist of either paid normal teachers or medical personal. A majority of the staff either hails from SHIELD or are former Avengers in their own right. Hank Pym, formerly the original Ant-Man, runs the science labs and program at Avengers Academy as an example.

This year promises to be Avengers Academy’s most interesting year yet, as students are arriving in from around the world to either continue studies or are new. None are aware yet of the crazy year ahead.

Rules/world guidelines:

- The school is high school/college aged stuff, 15 year olds going up to 21 year olds.

- There is a dress code for classes and training but its fairly loose. Going on shirts, polos, button ups, even hoodies, each with the Avengers Academy logo on it and a flag on the left sleeve representing the student’s country of origin. For gym and hand to hand combat class, the students have sleeveless Avengers Academy shirts, and MMA style board shorts and fingerless padded gloves. Outside of classes students can wear whatever they want barring anything considered offensive. When it comes to costumes students can bring in their own (typically not as high quality as it can be) or a small team of seamstresses can measure you out for one after your first year of classes.

- The two dorms on campus are divided by gender, with two to a room. Usually paired randomly though if the students agree to it, are allowed to switch rooms to stay with friends.

On the character sheet are two separate sections, the first is a basic set up, the second is a sheet that Avengers Academy supervisors and teachers have filled out on your character. Initial observation report being the first impressions the staff had on your character. Training regimen/expertise is what kind of specific classes the student has been put into, and if any a natural skill they have that will be utilized in field. Potential outlook is the general feeling among the staff about the student’s future as an Avenger. Finally base case scenario and worst case scenario aren’t basically becomes an Avenger or doesn’t, but looks at how they would function as an Avenger given their strength and flaws. What their role on a team would be essentially.

I still have Hulkling's background to work on, but here is his FOUO just to demonstrate it...

Initial observation report: Certainly very excited and eager, Theodore is showing plenty of early raw potential in our analysis of him.
Training regimen/expertise: The main focus will be on giving Theodore a more focused and concentrated fighting style. As Theodore only currently usually resorts to wild flailing in his strikes. Many staff have suggested Theodore could gain a lot in something combining kickboxing with freestyle wrestling. On top of that, Theodore’s penchant for making dragon like wings for himself are reason enough he should be enlisted into flight classes to make sure he can handle himself in the air. Finally, acting classes so Theodore can more effectively use his shape shifting for more covert operations.
Potential outlook: A strong but versatile asset who can work in many different positions and angles for potential future assignments. Although Theodore doesn’t seem to quite have leadership qualities. He does possess a strong workmanship and ability to get along with others.
Best case scenario: A very dependable Avenger who will provide numerous strengths with very few down sides.
Worst case scenario: His past with the Kree and Skrulls can cause severe problems if careful procedure isn’t used when the situation arises, and when Teddy is finally told about his background.

Full name: Theodore “Teddy" Altman
Alias/Codename: Hulkling
Year: Freshman
Skills: Athletic talent in basketball, soccer, baseball, and golf, a pro in superhero and pop culture trivia (captain of the high school quizbowl team), master cuddler...
Powers: Teddy's super-human abilities stem from his parentage: a Skrull mother and a super-powered Kree father. As part-Skrull, Hulking is able to change his appearance by altering his size, shape, and color. When he increases his mass his strength also increases. He typically manifests claws and wings as necessary in battle. His Skrull physiology also gives him the ability to heal from injury at an accelerated rate and sub-consciously move and reshape his vital organs to protect himself from mortal damage. Teddy's shape-shifting abilities are detailed enough to bypass highly sensitive eye-scans and voice-scans.

As part-Kree, Hulkling inherited superpowers from his father Captain Marvel. This grants him super-human strength (far greater than the average Skrull or Kree) and enhanced durability.
Brief bio:Growing up Teddy was raised by his mother, his father having died of cancer during her pregnancy. Teddy was athletic and popular in school. But as he grew up he began to notice his super powers and homosexuality. He figured his powers were a mutant based power, not realizing that his mom was Skrull royalty, and his father was Kree legend Captain Marvel. Afraid of the stigma against mutants and homosexuals Teddy keep both hidden from others.

As Teddy started going to high school he ended up meeting and getting into a relationship with Greg Norris, Class president and captain of the basketball team Teddy was on. One night Teddy revealed his powers to Greg who showed support to him. The two then used Teddy’s powers to pull pranks and cons with Teddy pretending to be various people. When the Avengers announced their old mansion was going to be retired and Stark Tower was going to be the team’s new home. Greg had Teddy help him break into the mansion. Teddy figured it was just to see the place, only to find Greg trying to steal things from it. For Teddy, The Avengers were his role models, and the mansion might as well been a holy place. Teddy and Greg got into an argument, and Greg threatened to reveal to the school that Teddy was gay and a mutant. Teddy became furious, and used his powers to threaten Greg if he even considered such a thing.

As Teddy left the mansion, hurting inside. It was late as he strolled through Central Park, still fuming when he came across a similarly aged man sitting at a park bench alone and bruised. Teddy mildly recognized him from school and the two talked. On that night Teddy met Billy Kaplan for the first time, who would become his boyfriend in short time.

Soon the two realized one another’s powers, and began to roam the streets at night as small time makeshift superheros. Teddy, since his powers usually left him big and green, gave him the idea of naming himself Hulkling. It's a play on changling, only with more Hulk. While Billy took on the alias of Asgardian, and kept his magic to flight and lightning based powers. Their antics got the attention of the Avengers and SHIELD. Who saw their unprepared nature and offered them a place at the Avengers Academy. The two accepted immediately. Though Teddy during the summer convinced Billy to get an alias change. When the other students find out about their relationship. Asgardian is going to become an unfortunate alias very quickly....

Full name:Katelyn “Kate” Bishop
Alias/Codename: Eagle Eye
Year: Freshman
Skills: Kate Bishop has been trained by SHIELD agent Clint Barton in archery. His training has her using not just the standard compound bow, but recurve and even cross bows as well. On top of this Kate is well versed in Judo, Taekwondo, and fencing. Because of her wealth Kate is well versed in accounting and managing her funds, including stocks and savings. Although only has had a license for about two years, very capable behind the wheel of any car. In particular her prized Lamboghini Diablo, painted purple of course (Should be noted she’s been arrested more than once for speeding and other traffic violations).
Powers: N/A
Brief bio: The second of four kids for media magnate Derek Bishop. Derek was a self-serving man who didn’t really pay his kids as much mind as even he admits he should. Kate instead growing up took after her mom. Who used the family’s wealth and position to help charities and worthy causes around the world. However she died when Kate was young, while helping a charity in Africa which led to her being kid-napped and killed by rebelling soldiers. Leaving Kate often having to figure things out on her own. Which left her disconnected from a lot of the rest of her family.

When Kate was 14 she was leaving a friend’s party early and strolling home through central park. The police report says a man grabbed her and dragged her into a large bush. Where he gagged her and very violently raped her. When someone found her hours later she was brutally beaten and had to be put into a medical coma when she was brought to the hospital. After a year of both physical and emotional rehabilitation. Kate sought to focus the simmering anger in herself though studying various methods of self defense. Around a year later, her older sister was to be married and Kate was a bridesmaid for the wedding. When a group armed took the wedding hostage to get at Derek Bishop’s billion of dollars. Kate sprung into action, able to thwart the armed robbers single handed. This got the attention of national news, as well as SHIELD agent Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye.

Clint reached out to Kate and the two became quick friends. Kate regularly spent time with the Avenger who began to really help teach her more martial arts and in particular archery. Which she showed an immediate and considerable skill at. Clint reached out to Steve, and suggested Kate is brought into Avengers Academy to help continue her training. Steve agreed, on the condition Clint help continue her archery training.

(For official use only)

The information herein is For Official Use Only (FOUO) which must be protected under the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of this PERSONAL INFORMATION may result in criminal and/or civil penalties.

Initial observation report: Although Katelyn could use some discipline (Too much time around Clint?) her tutor has trained her well. Leaving us at the academy to hone her skills finer, and hopefully give her more self control.
Training regimen/expertise: Clint will be coming to the academy to give Kate and a few other students lessons in archery, although Kate is already well versed it wouldn’t hurt to keep her archery skills sharp. As well as making sure she continues to train in judo and taekwondo. The main classes we should focus her attention in however should be classes based on developing her strategy in battles and helping give her better focus in the field.
Potential outlook: Although there are questions about her character, so far Clint should be commended on his training so far of Katelyn. As it stands Katelyn still has a ways to go, but can certainly make a perfect successor to Clint when he decides to retire.
Best case scenario: If she can develop mentally there’s little doubt she’ll be able to handle any kind of assignment we’ll throw at her. Either as a SHIELD agent or as an Avenger.
Worst case scenario: Her penchant for living and moving fast does have many at the academy concerned. If it isn’t the possibility of a car crash, its the idea she might run into situations without thinking, and potentially make a dangerous situation worse.

Full name: William "Billy" Kaplan/Maximoff
Alias/Codename: Wiccan/Demiurge
Year: Freshman.
Skills: Hero Trivia & Norse Mythology.
Powers: Electrokenisis, teleportation, flight, [Reality warping magic]
Brief bio: The reincarnated son of Wanda Maximoff a.k.a the Scarlet Witch. Billy's soul was lost, when Mephisto cast his soul, and the soul of his twin brother, into worlds unknown. As a result of the loss of her twin boys, Scarlett Witch lost control of her powers wreaking devastating destruction. In her grief, she vanished, never to be seen again ... but the fate of her two boys was not quite over yet... Nor was she. Those two lost souls reincarnated, Billy was one, his brother Tommy (a.k.a Speed) was the other. Taking after his mother, Billy inherited devastating magical abilities which lay dormant for most of his childhood.

Billy was raised with two younger brothers in a Jewish family completely unaware of his "other" birth and his extraordinary powers, Billy had an average upbringing. High school was tough, he got bullied because of his nerdy-obsession with Heroes, Norse Mythos and comicbooks and also his homosexuality.

As luck would have it ... Billy wasn't entirely alone in the world. After another incident of bullying in school, he met Teddy Altman and encountered Scarlet Witch, whom told him he had great powers, he had to stand up and believe in himself.
Instilled with confidence thanks to Teddy and Wanda, Billy faced up to his bullies, accidentally awakening his powers and electrocuting the thugs. Fortunately there were no fatalities.

This terrifying awakening startled Billy and he refrained from using his powers, for fear he couldn't control this mysterious force. He was later coaxed into experimenting with and learning to control his powers by fellow "mutant" Teddy Altman (Hulkling). Unaware of their origins, the two believed they were both "mutants" and found comfort in one another and quickly formed a relationship.

Despite initial hesitance, for fear of losing control of his abilities. Billy showed great promise, particularly when Hulkling helped him practice controlling his power (through self-help books no less). Together they discovered that chanting a spell helped Billy to stay focused and maintain some control of his powers. The pair began using their powers to clean up the streets, under the aliases "Asguardian" and "Hulkling" and came under SHIELD's radar. In the field, "Asguardian" greatly reduced the level of his power, to protect his partner and civilians and also to try and keep a low profile. He limited his attacks to lightning based and flight, emulating one of his heroic idols, the Asguardian prince, Thor Odinson, however the true extent of his powers goes far deeper than levitation and lightning bolts.

(For official use only)

The information herein is For Official Use Only (FOUO) which must be protected under the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of this PERSONAL INFORMATION may result in criminal and/or civil penalties.

Initial observation report: William exhibits great potential but lacks confidence in his ability to control his power, limiting his skill-pool and refraining from pushing himself to achieve his full potential.
Training regimen/expertise: Training in flight/levitation is required to ensure safety in combat. William will also require tutoring in electrokenisis/precision training to prevent cases of accidental friendly-fire from stray shocks. Reality-warping magic lessons should be approached carefully and incrementally, focusing on maintaining control primarily and secondarily focus on increasing magical strength and dexterity. [William displays great awareness when meditating on his powers, however in extreme stress or emotion he shows less control and restraint (e.g. when T. Altman faced peril in combat, William unleashed substantially more aggressive/uncontrolled attacks.]
Potential outlook: A powerful asset. He shows a desire to protect his peers and would be a valuable asset on any team if he can maintain control of his emotions and his powers.
Best case scenario: A loyal Avenger with the ability to devastate enemies of SHIELD.
Worst case scenario: If he loses control of his powers/emotions, particularly after achieving Demiurge level of power, the results could be catastrophic. SHIELD must also be cautious about introducing William to his long-lost twin brother, Thomas a.k.a. Speed

Full name: Thomas "Tommy" Shepherd
Alias/Codename: Speed
Year: Freshmen
Skills: He knows how to hotwire a car (don't ask)
Powers: Superhuman speed (enhanced perception, reflexes, durability)
Brief bio: Tommy's parents, Frank and Mary, divorced while he was still young. A troublesome child, the divorce didn't do him any favours and he spent most of his youth in and out of one juvenile hall and another.

Eventually he fell in with a few local gangs, used his powers for no good and veered off on a criminal path that, given his history, didn't surprise anyone.

No one was surprised when he ended up in a high-security Young-Offenders Facility either.

His story isn't quite so simple though. Tommy wasn't arrested for joyriding, underage drinking or shoplifting. He wasn't even arrested for a fistfight or damaging property. Tommy was arrested when his powers manifested and he vaporised half his school building. While some would argue it was an accident, Tommy's checkered past didn't earn him much sympathy and many doubted it was an accident at all. Whether accidental or an act of pent up teenage angst paired with boredom and gang violence, Tommy was sent to a special facility built for super-powered and highly dangerous individuals. He was locked up for months and subjected to experiments, in a bid to create a human weapon ... They only made Tommy more angry ...

When SHIELD were made aware of Speed's powers and his situation, Steve Rogers took sympathy on him. He didn't see a psychopathic criminal, he saw a troubled young kid. He saw potential. Rogers volunteered to enrol Speed in the Academy to give him a second chance. Suspecting he was going to be subjected to more experiments he lashed out during the "transfer", only stopping his rampage when he recognised Captain America (who fortunately had the foresight to appear at the detention facility in his Captain America costume). When Rogers asked him to stand down and offered him the choice to join a school for specially selected individuals, Tommy agreed.

(For official use only)

The information herein is For Official Use Only (FOUO) which must be protected under the Privacy Act of 1974, as amended. Unauthorized disclosure or misuse of this PERSONAL INFORMATION may result in criminal and/or civil penalties.

Initial observation report: Thomas is a very unstable young man, but resilient. Rogers has great hopes for him. Despite his background, Thomas does not appear to lack a moral compass, he seems open to guidance from certain individuals. His power potential is tremendous, he can upset the molecular stability of objects, forcing them to explode simply by shaking them at super speed.
Training regimen/expertise: Speed's abilities are highly developed, attention should be paid to "social conditioning" to ensure he can work well in a team. Finding suitable partners is a priority.
Potential outlook: A valuable agent for extraction missions and intelligence gathering particular. Speed can be in and out of a conflict before the enemy even sees him.
Best case scenario: If paired with the right instructors and peers, Thomas could become a well adjusted, socially conscious teammate. He already possesses great power, teaching him to use it responsibly would yield great results.
Worst case scenario: If he disagrees with his instructors or peers, Thomas has the potential to cause significant damage to the school and personnel.
