Hello everyone, new member Night here.
New to forum RPing, but I'm a World of Warcraft RP veteran (insert 'I survived Moonguard' bumper sticker here) before the monthly payments and guild drama forced me to quit. My best friend suggested this site to me, so I've come looking for new friends and collaborators.
I'm a college age digital artist, hoping to find some fun roleplays with subjects such as Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, World of Warcraft, and non-fandom dragons. If you're interested in any of those subjects, I would love for you to message me! Please note that I don't do mature romantic roleplays.
I hope to meet many new people and have lots of fun.

Welcome to the guild!

I was always more of a Wyrmrest Accord fellow myself, before they devolved into general elitist douchebaggery (Those first few months of that server's creation was a damn Golden Age, I swear)

What sort of art do you enjoy doing, and what tools do you use? I'm more of a pencil and paper person myself (I'm terribad xD)

Hope you enjoy your time here!

Thank you!

Moonguard was a lot of guild drama, romantic drama, and any other kind of drama you could think of. And that was just on Horde side. Alliance side is unmentionable.

Typically I use paper and pencil for my initial drawing, then it's off to my Wacom Cintiq. I use Adobe Illustrator's live trace function to get my line art and Photoshop for everything else.

Thank you again! Let me know if you wanna RP some time ^_^

@Nightinscale Welcome to the forum! Mind if I ask how Illustrator's live trace function holds up? I've been looking to improve my lineart since it's always so messy and indistinct

@Mae Thank you! And of course, I will explain it to the best of my ability.

Adobe Illustrator is a vector program, meaning it thinks in lines and shapes rather than pixels. The live trace, or image trace depending on the version, is designed to turn pixels into lines and shapes via color detection. I've found that it's more than possible to input graphite/paper drawing, select the trace function, and come out with smoother line work than I would have otherwise not been able to accomplish.
It's not by any means perfect, it often requires a bit of fiddling to make sure all the lines come out or there aren't any bumps. I have included a link to an example of a live trace I did of one of my own works. I hope this helps you out! ^_^
