@Crimmy I personally love your character.i almost used that picture BTW 😂


I picked it mostly because it's how FGO portrayed Karna.

And decided it would be funny to make a guy who alludes to Arjuna have the face of his archrival.

@tobiax You might have tagged the wrong person because Reiken doesn't do that. I have had so many characters come through that I know youre talking about someone but I can't put my finger on who.

@alexfangtalon Sorry. "Character-without-flaws-or-realistic-traits" takes too long, forgive my shorthand.
@Crimmy Okay, then pardon my not knowing that. I may have forgotten. I just didn't think shaping Dust into arrows could be done at will, and hyperbole noted. But I still am not sure, like, just from a lore perspective, is there even the concept of "sin" in Remnant? Also I want to ask what color is directly or indirectly Arjuna. Or is the long title the color?

Also, I missed the color in Eadgar. Sorry.
I'm assuming we have the color rule? I may have mentally added that where it wasn't.

There were those two brother gods, so someone's probably conceptualised divine law at some point. Hence the presence of "sin", a transgression against that law. That's the law that Arjuna seeks to uphold, in his zealous way (although probably more through the lens of his own morality). Besides, it can also be applied as something that transgresses against what one considers right, even if isn't specifically divine law.

Arjuna (आर्जुन) as a name means shining/white/clear/like silver. That's why I put "white" down in his profile. The longass name basically means "this guy owns the bow named Gandiva".

@EmzyOfNeverland Incidentally, is Arjuna approved or not right now. Not really sure, because you said you liked the guy but didn't see a confirmation of his approval or the like.

Incidentally, does everyone's devices render Sanskrit Unicode sets properly? Because I really want to infuse this guy with his Vedic influences.

@Crimmy I would generally recommend against inserting characters not everyone in the RP can read. They're showing up fine on my device(s) so far, but I can't understand them. So, unless it's just, like "these things are written on his clothes" (which I would question because Remnant seems to have all one alphabet-type), I'd recommend not.

They're just going to be mostly stylistic things.

Old English synn (noun), syngian (verb); probably related to Latin sons, sont- ‘guilty’.

You don't necessarily need sin to be a transgression against a possibly existing divine law (which, if the two brother Gods who created the world exist, likely does). Besides, it's not like the Christian conception of sin is one-to-one with other religious conceptions of it anyway.

Yeah, but sin's a perfectly fine to use in a non-religious context too.

Hmm very good question. Looking back on the show and all of my knowledge, I would say the concept of right and wrong are basically all you need. I don't think "sin" really is something that might come into play. Like when I wrote up Reiken, I really didn't have the thought that homosexuality would be an issue in this world much.
