Looks good, though you might want to change the location of the shack that her creator lived in, as East of Lost Haven is the Atlantic Ocean. But yeah, you're approved

@Indy Cooper The one thing I'd try to keep in mind is magic is still unknown to the populous. There are Agencies and Police who's Jobs are to deal with magic, think of Grim the TV show. And SHEILD which our version of them is STRIKE. But for the most part keeping the peace with the Supernatural Community and ensuring that victims are returned safely and unaware of what transpired is how people stay blissfully unaware of magic. Though things like a full scale demon invasion of Lost Haven has begun to get people wondering about magic. Shouldn't be too long before normal people get involved with magic and endanger others.

That's kinda what I was figuring, which is why I only even touched briefly on the police unit thing. And a total of two magic users involved in her backstory at all. The fact that she's not aware of those social constructs might cause some problems? But it's not like she knows enough(or any) magic to get flashy with. I was guessing there'd be maybe the detective and some sort of police...consultant? That was working with him in order to track down and bring back the missing girl and hope no one notices too much. I am also bad at subtext. And pop culture, I guess, because I haven't seen either of those shows?

Hey guys, I know I say this about once every two weeks but I'm still here, I'm trying to get my posts done but my life has been all over the place as of late. I'm just trying to catch up with everything that has happened and am contributing to the post made with Evergreen and Mercerius. I'm desperately trying to rope some things together for this week and hopefully I will have one thing up by the end of this week, even if it is just a character sheet.

Character you have created:
Katarina von Rysech / Katarzyna z Ryzsecz

Alias:
Various names that have been bandied about in the ages, though most simply call her The Red Countess.

Speech Colour (Actually say what you're using):
#921111

Character Alignment:
A true Villain of the ages, Katarina is bent on unlocking the deepest secrets of the arcane and of the ultimate goal of unlife - to be free of the need for blood and to no longer fear the sun... And she will do *anything* to get it.

Identity:
Only known to a handful of those versed in the dark arts of necromancy and vampirism.

Character Personality:
Selfish, undependable and duplicitous, von Rysech is not a woman to be trusted or relied upon for important duties, though she is capable of loyalty to some causes, so long as they suit her own purposes ultimately. She plays the long game, willing to allow the mortals about her play along with their own little flickers of energy, their brief moments of glory before the cold embrace of death takes over. She is willing to grant others the mercy of the Blood Kiss, though any that are turned by her are subservient to her every whim and desire, no matter how dangerous or damaging it may be. When in battle, she is utterly merciless and ruthless to a fault, willing to sacrifice even the largest and most powerful of their servants in her search for power and her birthright - her lands in what is now Kaliningrad, the old Holy Roman county of Preussen-Konigsberg. Ultimately, she wishes to create her own vampiric paradise, where the hateful rays of the sun are obscured by the mists of undeath, and those in her thrall toil for her benefit, and finally, von Rysech will rebuild the Tower of Spires, and within, she will retire to her libraries once more. She lusts for knowledge and arcane arts, and will not hesitate to jump at any opportunity to expand her collection of spells and arcane magicks.

Uniform/costume:
Katarina often sports Renaissance-style clothing (in spite of the changing times) as she is more comfortable with the clothing that she knew in her mortal life.

Origin Info/Details:

Hero Type (Select one):
Supernatural.

Power Level (Select one below):
Possibly as powerful as World-Level, given the right resources and time.

Powers (Be Specific):
- Can shift shapes from humanoid to beast (bat swarm) to monstrous (known as the Gheist) forms.
- Superhuman strength.
- Blinding speed and reflexes.
- Can raise and control the dead, even in very advanced stages of decay or even skeletal remains.
- Can summon arcane creatures of necromantic power to assault her foes, including giant smoke skulls that cough forth poisonous gas, or massive scythes that sweep across the battle, cutting through all in their path.
- Can control darkness and shield herself for a short amount of time from the sun's influence.
- Can impart the Bloody Kiss upon others, vampirising them and enslaving them to her will and her every desire, though it can be broken out of.
- All of Katarina's abilities can be strengthened when she has fed from one of her unfortunate victims.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
Height: Five feet and eleven inches.
Weight: 148 pounds, or 67.1 kg.
Strength Level: About 60 to 70 tons at maximum strength, though at risk of tiring herself quicker.
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: 100+ MPH at maximum reflexes, though at risk of tiring herself quicker.
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: About 4 hours per feeding.
Agility: 15X Normal
Intelligence: Not quite Genius, though she plays the long game...
Fighting Skill: Mastered. The Red Countess is a vicious and powerful fighter, particularly with her rapier or when she transforms into the Gheist.

Resources:
Limited at best currently. Katarina is slowly returning to power, and lacks much of her repertoire and her infrastructure, including her library of ancient tomes. Katarina currently has herself, her power and that's about it.

Weaknesses:
Though a Vampire, Katarina is still susceptible to physical damage and if her mortal form is destroyed, she will flee back to Neuhausen as the proverbial mist to regenerate. Depending on her level of power, this can take any time between minutes and weeks, during which time she is still vulnerable to her coffin being attacked and destroyed, which will kill her. None but the most powerful gods can save her undead soul after that. Katarina is still vulnerable to the sun and will suffer very serious consequences in direct sunlight, though she can somewhat tolerate overcast conditions due to her power. Christians beware, however, for she is no stranger to the symbols of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Some say it is because of her Prussian heritage, others that even God has a plan in mind for her, others still that her latent atheism protects her, but whatever the reason, crosses and religious artefacts will not stop Katarina.

Supporting Characters:
- Lord Franz Siegfried Philipp Ludwig von Sigmaringen, Katarina's beloved fiance and vampire of Swabia. Franz Siegfried has been Katarina's constant companion since early in her reign, and accompanied her as she fled into the catacombs of the Tower of Spires. Weaker and bent to Katarina's will, Franz Siegfried is nevertheless a potent physical adversary in battle, though he lacks much of Katarina's power.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: I've already posted two of them, damn it.

Theme Song: Katarina, The Red Countess

It had been almost four hundred years since her Fall. Four hundred years of suffering, slow regeneration and isolation from the world in her coffin. The surface-dwellers, the living, the mortals above - all thought that she was dead, that the Red Countess was perhaps never anything more than a myth, a legend that lived only in folk tales from Prussia. Four hundred years of archaeological digs had failed to unearth her, and so she was allowed to rest in peace... until now. The magics and balance of the world had changed, with the rise of the superheroes and supervillains, and the age of metahumanity had begun. From deep within the bowels of an abandoned ruin, a coffin stirred and slowly came to life, as a dull red glow surrounded it from within.

The Red Countess awakes from her torpor.

Katarina staggered forward and fell to the dusty stone floor, the coffin lid falling to one side and the ashes of her once-sumptuous attire swirling about her in a mockery of her old status and power, brought down by Sigismund Vasa, the Polish bastard. She could feel her old wounds aggravating her, and she thirsted... by God, she thirsted. Her energy levels were such that even opening her eyes felt an unimaginable task, let alone standing up. She lay on the cold stone for what felt like an eternity, before slowly, and painfully, she reached out a nailed hand and tried to drag herself forward, finding no strength in her tired and blood-starved muscles; despite her best efforts, she remained stubbornly immobile, her rage increasing, until finally, her will snapped and she screamed as loud as she could in pathetic defiance of her condition. She found herself practically unable to move from lack of energy, and had anyone been aware of her... they could have ended her right there and then. However, there was only one who was with her - Franz Siegfried, the man who stood by her as her world burned, as her whole dreams were cast down and shattered, as her lands were slaughtered and devastated. And now, it was he who stood above her, looking down, a broad, fanged smile on his face, with a hand extended to help her back to her feet. "Katarina, my sweet love... it has been a long time. "

Her arms protested as she slowly crawled over to his closest leg and gripped it tightly, using his clothes and frame as a structural aid as she slowly crawled to her feet. "Franz... please... help me... let me feed." Her throat was dry, her voice cracking with the strain, but Franz smiled, nodded and proceeded to open up his neck, allowing Katarina to sink her fangs into his throat and drink deeply of his tainted blood, infected as he was by a fragment of Katarina's power. She gasped involuntarily as power began to course through her torpid veins and her old strength returned to her. She withdrew her fangs as Franz staggered back, holding a hand to the bite wound, and she wiped her mouth with her hand. "Thank you. I knew you would come to save me from my torpor one day, Franz. Perhaps there is hope for us yet... hope for Neuhausen. Hope for the Tower. Hope for us to rebuild what we had. Our empire. Our future. Our... our love." Katarina looked over at a glass display case where Franz had laid out her most treasured outfit of luxurious fabrics and leather, as well as her fabled sword, Black Sun. She walked over to the case and smashed through the glass with but a light punch, and took hold of her new clothes and her sword. Dressing herself, she sheathed her sword and turned back to Franz, who looked upon her with adoring eyes, as ever.

"Franz... We have much to do. We must find allies, resources, power, and we must find it elsewhere. We could escape our foes in the New World... And there we could build up our empire with which to strike back at the hated Church, strike back at those who wronged us! Those who envied our power, our glory! The Poles, the Germans, the Lithuanians... they all will die at my hand! Let the world know... The Red Countess returneth!"

Character you have created: Nicole MacNamara
Alias: Walker
Speech Color (Actually say what you're using): Azure F0FFFF
Character Alignment: Walking the Line
Identity: Secret, trying to keep it that way

(The piercings wouldn't be there, as the holes can't exist. Otherwise good representation)

Character Personality:
Nicole is a scrapper, born and bred in the rough neighbourhoods of Hell's Kitchen to a poor family of workers. She knows life is tough, sometimes overwhelmingly so, but she battles on because really, what other choice do you have? She tries to maintain a positive attitude and see the good in the world, but the past three months have not been kind to her, and it's starting to wear pretty hard. It doesn't help that her hormones are raging about, and not showing any signs of cutting back soon.
There are many things that aggravate Nicole, and those fluctuate day to day. But several things drive her at this point. She thirsts, desires like nothing else she's known before, to satisfy her sense of justice. She knows gangs are horrible, and senseless violence bad, but otherwise her sense of justice is entirely based out of what her working-class father managed to teach her, mainly that 'hard work's rewarded, and good prevails'. She is somewhat arbitrary in what she believes might be just or not, and, for example, will happily smash a man in the face for shoplifting. In short, her responses will most likely be physically violent, and sometimes not proportional.
She has found over the last couple of months that she generally enjoys fighting, which is probably not going to endear her to her idol. Also on her list of not-so-heroic traits: She has no problems stealing to live, though not from the poor. Sneaking her way into places, killing those she thinks deserve it, fighting with the police if they try and take her in; None of this is beyond her. She will do anything to achieve her goals.

Uniform/costume:

Origin Info/Details: Nicole grew up the youngest of three girls born to a poor electrician and his wife in Hell's Kitchen. She had, as far as she could tell, everything she wanted from life, even if she didn't necessarily eat every night and never got to see parks. But she was happy, and tha was important. She did...okay in school, though she was neither exceptional nor all that motivated. Early on, she got the bug to read her older sisters comics books, and when her mom taught her about Lady Liberty, she was fascinated. She grew up thinking that the only thing she wanted to do was to be a superhero. She got her wish in the most horrific way she could imagine.
She missed the news broadcasts warning that Pax MetaHumana was coming, and Nicole was busy bringing groceries back to her house when she had to take cover from a gang fight that broke out nearly on her tenement building's front step. As she crouched, waiting for everything to calm down at least long enough for her to get inside, the crackling green energy washed over her street, and for just a moment, she knew everything. Just as quickly, that knowledge and her memory of it was gone, and she was left feeling slightly nauseous. Trying to figure out what was going on, she peeked up over the dumpster she had taken cover behind. Which was when the street exploded.
Later, she pieced together what had happened. Apparently, one of the combatants near her had gained the ability to explode forward and detonate like a rocket, somehow without taking damage. One of the opposing folks had developed lightning powers, and a host of minor physical abilities may have occurred on both sides. All Nicole knew at the time was that the dumpster had launched into her in a cloud of flying debris, launching her through the brick wall behind her, and everything went dark as a corner of the building collapsed onto her.
Her parents were both killed in the building's collapse, and one of her sisters was killed by fighting in the streets during the mass panic that occurred. When she woke up and found out what happened, Nicole nearly lost her mind then and there. But the news broadcasts in the area included mentions of the heroes fighting to stop what had killed her family, and somewhere deep down, her mind latched on to the hero Icon as the one who stopped it from happening to any further cities, despite the reality of it being a whole confederation of heroes. She spent several days learning what she could about him, and then, grabbing some gear to keep herself hidden so she didn't get taken in as a runaway, she began the long trek to Lost Haven. She aims to become his apprentice, or at least learn how to hero, and stop things like the Pax Metahumana event from ever destroying another family. Since she is underage, she has had to make her way to the city on foot

Hero Type (Select one): Brick

Power Level (Select one below): Street
Powers (Be Specific):

Set Adrift: Nicole is caught outside of time, temporally unset. Her position in time varies greatly, so much so that, using the "Trousers of Time" or branching dimensions explanation of Multiverse Theory, she exists as the same person in all possible universes, though not physically, because all of those incarnations of her exists at the same point in time, the present. Mentally and spiritually, she is normal, but anything that attempts to affect her physically would have to affect her for all of time, all at once.
Effectively, she is conventionally invulnerable. Kinetic impacts, energy, poisons; nothing can affect her for her entire existence at the moment it happens, and thus is negated entirely, not even capable of breaking the surface of her skin. This also means nothing can change her body from the point she was temporally destabilised. She cannot starve, cannot suffocate, and will not age. Her muscles cannot be damaged, so she enjoys a slight increase of strength over average humans, and can lift more than she should be able to because she doesn't have to fear bone breakage or soft tissue rupture.
Oddly, this does not affect her memory like it logically should, and neural pathways can still form, though only in her brain(see below about muscle memory). She is also slowly losing any sort of fear, due to her complete inability to encounter things that cause her pain. That could change, given what she might face off against later.

Attributes (Select one at each category):
Height: 5'4”
Weight: 127 lbs
Strength Level: Above Human, but not normal meta levels
(Her only augment to strength is not suffering muscle, tendon, or bone damage)
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: Effectively limitless
Agility: Normal human
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Untrained

Resources: Minimal
Weaknesses:

She does not age. She is fifteen. While she might enjoy immortality for a little bit, she will never be physically an adult. She will never be taken seriously as an adult. And she is permanently in the final stages of puberty, unable to ever escape the ravages of hormonal fluctuations.
Anything that ignores one's temporal position can affect her as per normal. This means she is susceptible to magical enchantment, psionics, having her soul ripped out, and other things like that. Directly damaging magic, such as hurling a fireball at her, however, still has no effect. Theoretically,if one could do enough damage to affect her for all of time, one could wear down her physical defenses and damage her, but in practise this would be almost impossible except for extremely powerful speedsters.
She isn't all that bright, and as a fifteen year old is convinced that she knows exactly how the world works, despite any evidence that other people might know more than her(with the exception of Icon). While that might change a little over time, it will never completely go away.
Despite being undamageable, she is still subject to all of the other normal physics a one hundred and twenty-pound girl might face. She can be buried in rubble and rendered immobile, launched into space to adrift forever, sunk to the bottom of the ocean, tied up, etc. Her natural strength can only go so far.
Speaking of strength, her unchanging body comes with a curse. She was somewhat strong for her age due to some sports training, but she while she will never suffer muscle degradation, she will never gain muscle mass, either. No matter how much she might need out of her muscles, they will never grow any stronger. She will never get any more flexible, never get any faster, never gain muscle memory for martial training.
Being undamageable has some psychological effects, as well. Nicole is completely reckless, having no concern at all for tactics, delicate situations, or really anything beyond completing her task. She also has a tendency to forget what might hurt or kill normal people.
If anything should infect her somehow, while she would be immune to ill effects, she is the perfect carrier for disease. And no known medical test can possibly work on her, returning nothing but errors or blank screens, needles unable to puncture her skin, etc. Though she can produce saliva, so that's something.
She has no sense of internal timing anymore, saving for those reflexes needed for combat. So while she can time and dodge a punch if she needed to, she is constantly late, having no idea what time it might be even from moment to moment. This effect of her displacement also causes her vision to be slightly blurred in a way no corrective lenses can correct, as her eyes see everything both slightly ahead and behind of its actual position in the present.

Supporting Characters (Does your character have a significant other? A mother? Friend? Who are they, what do they have to do with your character?): Her sister Alice is missing and presumed dead. Everyone else is dead, and as she is also presumed dead, no one is looking for her at the moment.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: Think I got it down, now.

Edited to drop her strength.

Hey, whaddaya know, it's me. Hoping to make a Street level guy.

Nicholas Church

Alias: November
Speech Color: MediumSlateBlue
Character Alignment: Hero/Walking the Line
Identity: Known to the LHPD and S.T.R.I.K.E., as well as the US Navy and the criminal underworld.
Character Personality: Soft-spoken and friendly, normally, but when riled, becomes gruff and terse.
Uniform/costume: He wears suits.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Origin Info/Details:

Nicholas Church was an all-American kid. Played football in the backyard with his friends, learned to shoot from his father, and joined the Boy Scouts as soon as he could. Born to Lionel Church and Tabitha Ferguson-Church in 1981, in the suburban town of Whitechapel, Pennsylvania, he had a happy life.

Getting scholarships, he went to Penn State for football, and graduated cum laude in his class. Then, September 11th came. After that fateful day, Nick Church was caught up in the patriotic fervor sweeping the nation, and joined the Navy SEALs.

Going on covert missions of all stripes, Nick finished his tour, and came back home, proud to have served his country. Settling down, he joined the LHPD, and in Lost Haven, he met the love of his life, Carol Winters.

She was an EMT, and they first met at the Lost Haven Emergency Services Christmas Gala. It was less than a year before they were married. Living happily for several years, they had Abigail in 2005, and everything seemed fine, until November of the same year.

One fateful day, Nick got the call that his wife was hospitalized. She was making a deposit at the bank, and a masked man held up the place, with strange powers. Carol tried to stop him, and the man blasted her with fire. She was badly burned, but the robber was horrified, and gave himself up. Rushing to the hospital, Nick came in just in time to see her die on the operating table.

Nick was crushed, but he tried to stay strong for their daughter. Quitting the force, he became a bounty hunter, giving him more time to spend with his daughter. When she was six, he began to notice something strange. She was stronger, and tougher than any six-year-old had any right to be. Testing this out carefully, he soon learned that she was super-strong, and insanely resistant to damage. Abigail, quite frankly, was delighted when she found out. She was a superhero! But her father less happy. This would make people come after her. Bad people.

Keeping her abilities secret, he tried to keep up their normal life, but when she reported to him that she saw a suited man with black sunglasses following her home from school, he knew that the game was up. Quitting his job, again, and breaking out the old equipment, he prepared for what he knew was coming.

A storm was on its' way. But he would protect his little girl from anything. No matter what he had to do.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hero Type:Normal/Gunman
Power Level: Street
Powers:

(Unknown to him) Minor Healing Factor: Nick has a minor healing factor that works slowly, comparative to other heroes with more powerful healing factors. This allows him to take slightly more damage than a normal human would be able to, and be ready for action quicker after injuring himself.

Attributes:
Age: 36
Height: 5'11"
Weight: 178 lb.
Strength Level: Athletic Normal Human
Speed/Reaction Timing Level: Quick Normal Human
Endurance at MAXIMUM Effort: 2 Hours due to training
Agility: Agile Normal Human
Intelligence: Average
Fighting Skill: Mastered

Resources: Large (Mostly weapons, but quite a bit of cash left over from his pay as a SEAL.)
Weaknesses: He's just a man, albeit a deadly one.

Supporting Characters:

Abigail Church: His 13-year old daughter. Is a powerful metahuman, with super-strength and superhuman durability.

Do you know how to post pictures on RPG boards?: Yep.

Sample Post:

1:05 AM

"This the place?"

In a car, two men in black clothing sit, staring at a darkened two-story house. The lawn is manicured, and a winding concrete path leads to the front door. At the end of the path, a white door waits, surrounded by brick. A metal plate at eye-height, to the right of the door marks the house as 4359 Sunset Avenue.

The passenger, a wiry man with a wispy pencil mustache squints, looking at the address, and nods. "Yeah, we're here. Pretty ritzy place."

Putting on gloves and a balaclava, the driver, a thick-jawed man with a buzz cut and five-o-clock shadow, grunts. "Yeah, yeah, it's nice. Bet it has some good shit, too. You know why the boss wants us to break in?"

The second man nods. "Some girl. Probably a meta, with all this weird crap going on, recently." Pulling on a matching balaclava and gloves, the passenger steps out of the car. "To be honest, I couldn't care about the situation. We're getting paid a lot, we take the job."

Chuckling, the driver steps out of the car, shutting the door behind him quietly. "That's good. Wouldn't want ya to go chickenshit on me, now."

Creeping around the back, the two burglars tread quietly across the lawn, heading to a sliding glass door around back. Hefting a tire iron he brought from the car, the bigger man smashes the window, and reaching inside, unlocks the glass door, sliding it open.

Looking to his companion, who raises a handgun and nods, the big man creeps inside, taking the lead.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Glass shatters, somewhere. A break in. Nicholas wakes with a start, rolling out of bed quickly. Opening his night-stand's drawer, he pulls a handgun from within. Rushing to his bedroom's door, he opens it slightly, peeking out into the upstairs hallway.

Two shadowy figures, one bulky, one lanky. Both headed down the hall, to Abigail's room. They're coming to take her.

Nostrils flaring, Nick grimaces with anger. He won't let that happen.

Stepping out into the hallway, he creeps behind the men, stepping softly. As they reach the door to his daughter's room, he is upon them. Grabbing the scrawny one, and pulling him into a chokehold, he aims his gun at the bigger man.

"Unless you want a bullet between your eyes, drop the weapon, and get on the ground."

Turning around slowly, the big man drops the tire iron. Raising his hands in the air, he looks at Nick, glaring. His friend flailing in Nick's grip, he can do nothing but comply, getting on his knees, hands behind his head.
