Also, thoughts on having my character having been killed by one of the MODO? Still kind of having a hard time coming up with a specific death for some reason, but I've got ideas whirling around right now.
@SaberClass4242 to be really honest I'm hesitant to nail down exactly what the MODO are like until it comes time to face them IC. We might end up needing them to do something specific, haha. However, given that, he could have died recently, maybe indirectly and without having seen the attacker, which means he would already have a vague idea what they are -- and maybe he'd know about Echoes too.
@Mokley I can work with that! He could have died from a sort of "wrong place. wrong time" situation. Maybe he saw someone that was supposed to have been dead, tried to get answers, and got killed instead?
@SaberClass4242 The Echoes aren't really a secret, and certainly nobody's been killed for knowing about them -- although there definitely have been cases of people having been brought back that weren't quite right or with their minds only partially recovered. Hence Kelodie's thorough examination before releasing people into the wild, so to speak, haha. It's possible he could've run across a rogue Echo that didn't like questions.
Ok, I really feel Like I'm less active here than a literal bump on a log. At first I was just waiting on @RedXCross to reply but they've been MIA for three full months now... I'm gonna have Sora jump back into the action now, maybe go up to the folks at the caravan and try to get his outfit back up to par.
Edit: Whatever clothes or supplies you might want, you can assume the caravan has it.

@Mokley I've made a post! I ended it a little sooner than I had planned, as I'm not sure how much 'players controlling NPCs' you're okay with. I'm just gonna have him get his look together and maybe get a decent sword or something before he tries to go after the girl.
They only need the stones to capture the things, right? If Sora just wants to kill them can he do that with a sword or something, or are they not affected by such weapons?
Some great questions about the creatures. After a bit of gameplay and some rehash of what's needed, here's how it's working out:
There are several levels of daemons. The lowest, weakest ones exist just barely under the edge of our reality. Essentially they're just invisible monsters that otherwise exist in our world. They're affected by nature, can ransack caravans and make footprints, and can be hurt by conventional weapons.
The more powerful daemons exist on planes farther and farther away from our own, and have less and less to do with our reality. The most powerful ones can't see or interact with our reality at all, except with the Echoes. These daemons can't be simply captured with a tossed stone, but must either be half-dead or willing to be captured. The only ones that can hurt them are other daemons. The only ones that they can hurt are other daemons. And Echoes, of course.
The MODO exist in all the planes at once, and can freely move back and forth between our reality and the most distant existence. That's what makes them dangerous and unstoppable.
I am that pretty messed up, pretty wild, pretty pink princess riding the Whiskers of The PussyCatta set on a collision course with the nether regions intersecting Oblivion, Ecstasy and Paradise and try as you will, you just cannot leash this undeterred, unstoppable, underling Whiskering royal bitch. ( she tells herself when she's high).
That uppity but nice enough girl even though she gives her family name a black eye since they always seem to try to cover up "misguided actions" due to her "problematic behaviour" (they say when she's sobering up).

No longer Catalyst and now they are turning into the PussyCatta. See now how I place them into these vials ending in 5 sharp needles-- oh but Mummy! How clever you are! Oh dear, how rather amusing then! You do get it for they do look like the five claws of a cat! Catalyst. Cat. PussyCatta. How utterly drole. Now then. Why do they call it "Whiskering...?" Watch. See how I squeeze this and the fluid sprays away the air bubbles? What does it look like? Whiskers yes, sort of. But that's just the visual. It's acutally the sensation, Mummy. When I inject it into my tummy... wait, this area is too scarred with Kitty-tracks... ahhh! Here. Now when I inject this into my tumm-- ooooooooohhhhhhhh... ohhhh, Mummy... it feels like I'm sliding now, Mummy... sliding down the Whiskers of the PussyCatta... sliding... sliding down, Mummy. And so now-- oh! Hear that? No? Well look into the looking glass, Mummy. Do you see it?
Look beyond that whelp in there. Look into those icy blues now, Mummy. There is no more frailty. Oh, you see it now don't you? It calls me to it, Mummy. It knows me so well. Awwww yeeeyah! Thanks, bruh! K so like yeah that is perfectly fine ;D I was soooooo totallly hoping she'd be without that "Daemon's Crutch" and so her arc would be one towards redemption and self-forgiveness and acceptance. I realized I never posted my character sheet in the one tab, so I fixed that. And it's been so long since I first wrote it, I forgot a lot of the details until I went and found it just now. ^^;
I really need to just write an introductory post soon and ignore my writer's block or something.
