"Pretty amazing huh?"

He smiles down at her.

"Wait until we get these pulled off."

He opens his door, placing the camera behind his seat. He stands up and looks over at Ele.

"Exciting day already huh? And to think we just got started."

"Being out here is like a different world."

Ele admitted, walking over to her side of the car and opening the door. She looked over the top of the car to Tyler and nodded,

"I'm so excited to share those pictures! I mean, we have some pretty cool birds in San Francisco, but not eagles..."

Ele couldn't help but giggle as she slipped into the car and began buckling her harness,

"Unless you decide that random parakeets rank up there with eagles!"

"Being where I live is amazing. I have like 4 or 5 coons that come up on my back deck every night and eat from my hands."

He laughs and hops in, strapping in and driving off once again.

"They are a hoot. They reach out with their paws and grab the food, sometimes your fingers and smell them."

Ele giggled, imagining the raccoons. She thought the creatures were cute anyway, even if the did sometimes scare her if she came across one in a dark alley at night.

"I do have to say though, it is really nice to take a boat out on the bay and suddenly see dolphins. Oh!"

Ele exclaimed, sitting up straighter and turning as much as she could to see Tyler,

"One time, my friends and I went out for a yacht party, and we saw a pod of humpback whales! And don't even get me started on the sea lions! They're so smelly, but when they have a good day, they're so funny!

He smiles and chuckles seeing her excitement.

"They are rare to see but we have bear around here and lots of deer and turkey."

He thinks for a moment.

"You know..."

He looks over at her.

"It is almost turkey season. I got a license to get a turkey. You ever thought about hunting?"

The difference in wildlife between Michigan and California interested Ele, of course, California had bears and deer, but the Bay was where Ele had located herself. Deer were common in Golden Gate Park, but if a bear happened to wander into the city, it was surely removed quickly.

When Tyler mentioned hunting though, Ele's eyes got wide and her expression dropped. She'd never even touched a gun, seeing as they were generally frowned upon in her very liberal city.

"No, never."

She said with a shake of her head. There was no need for it, nevermind having to travel somewhere far enough away to try.

"There's ranges across the Bay, but I've never even touched a gun. Sometimes you find some for sale in Chinatown, but that's the closest I've ever gotten to them."

"I have a big family, my mom and my nieces and nephew hunt as do I. We get a few turkey and deer a year each, some squirrels too. Let me tell you, you try deer or turkey from the wild, you would be amazed at the flavor. We usually split up the deer and give some to the rest of the family."

He continues driving coming up to an intersection and turns left.

"If you wanna try, I have a bunch of venison in the freezer at my home. It is like the cleanest most flavorful beef you have ever had."

"I've never hunted anything... Except to try and find a decent replacement for my favorite Chinese food place when it shut down. But, I am game to try deer, there's no harm in giving something a try."

She said, thinking now about recipes she could use venison in. Ele shrugged, and committed to Googling some recipes later when they were not driving. Plus, her phone currently had no service so it was virtually an expensive paperweight in her pocket.

"You know, if you talked about hunting where I'm from, some people would look at you as a murderer? It's kind of ridiculous, but its true."

"I have like 2 dozen guns, some what would be considered women and kid guns, great for first time and young hunters."

He kept driving down the road over a few hills.

"Yeah, funny thing is I know in San Fran there are people actually hunting within the city limits thanks to bizarre foods. But I know even in some of the bigger cities in Michigan they don't talk much about hunting. Better fresh meat you got yourself than from factory farms, at least you know the hunted animal was killed humanely."

"That is definitely the exception, not the norm."

Ele pointed out,

"Everywhere has their oddities, San Francisco is just a city built on counter-culture, so people feel safe to experiment there and not feel judged... Unless they're caught hunting, then that is just dangerous."

"I will have to get some guns out for you to check out later. I am sure you will have fun with some of them."

He smiles over at her and goes over several more hills. They reach a busy intersection with a gas station. He pulls in to the pumps and shuts the car off.

"Almost on empty, we won't make it to the city if I don't fill up now."

He climbs out of the car and walks around to the back. He opens the hatch on the car and pulls out a 2 gallon jug and proceeds to pour it into the tank. He pulls the hose over and sticks it into the tank. He chooses the premium unleaded gas, pumping in exactly 10 gallons of gas. He hangs up the pump and closes the tank, closing the hatch then goes in to pay. He walks back out.

"10 gallons of premium, almost 30 bucks."

He sighs and laughs.

"Alright, lets go."

He fires the car back up and a car parked by the store starts honking. He laughs and pulls out onto the main road heading towards the city. He drives for 8 miles before coming up to the soaring eagle casino. Catching a red light gives them a chance to look at the immense space covered by the resort.

"Pretty amazing sight huh?"

Making the car honk at the gas station, Ele laughed as they sped away, feeling a little bit reckless. When they pulled up to the stop and saw the casino, Ele shook her head,

"That's crazy! I mean... Wow..."

Speechless as they started driving again towards the casino, Ele smiled,

"I hope I don't get lost in there! That place is massive!"

"Yeah, most the restaurants and bars are down the main hall as you enter. It is pretty easy to find everything there fortunately."

He takes off and heads down the main road, past the hotel attached to the casino.

"Water park is just up here on the right."

They drive about half a mile and come up on a hotel with a giant tube sticking out the side of the building and curving back into it. He pulls up to the main entrance parking just a few spaces down from it. He shuts the car off and smiles.

"Alright, it is about that time."

He starts unstrapping and gets ready to head inside.

Ele eagerly unbuckled herself from the seat and hopped out of the car, her eyes taking in the expanse of the hotel and casino. It really was a massive beast that took up so much space. Even in the city, Ele couldn't think of any one building that was quite this large. She stood straight and waited for Tyler before they started walking into the building.

Inside was loud, but there weren't as many people as Ele expected there to be, but then again, she guessed that the placed was so big that the people were spread out and so it seemed less crowded.

He heads inside with her after a moment, heading straight back from the doors. He stops at the counter.

"2 for the water park."

He says, handing the man at the counter a 50. The man rings them up, handing them wrist bands and a 20 back.

"Thank you."

Tyler says with a smile looking back at Ele.

"Let's go get changed."

He starts heading down the hall to the water park, hundreds of people fill the place but the park looks half empty.

Ele nodded and followed Tyler into the waterpark, then went to the ladies' changing room. The park graciously provided towels so Ele grabbed one and shoved all of her personal things and clothes into a locker then adjusted her two piece swimsuit. When she was done, Ele went back out to find Tyler. Out of the locker room, Ele got distracted by an ankle deep wading pool. She stepped in and was pleasantly surprised to find the water warm and comfortable.

Walks out of the locker room just after Ele. He stands there shirtless with just shorts on, His chest lightly hairy but very muscular and his stomach showing almost no fat except for some small love handles. He walks up to Ele smiling and says.

"You should come out in the middle of the floor, every half hour they dump a 1500 gallon bucket of water over the tower to splash people on the front of it."

She smiled at him, then nodded but then thought of something,

"My stitches... I can't get them wet. Is there something I can put over them?"

"Oh didn't think about that."

He thinks for a minute and smiles.

"I got it. Swim cap."

He goes over to find a swim cap. Taking a few minutes he finds one and walks back over.

"The water rushing down is like a medium downpour of rain, this should help you out."

Taking the cap, Ele made a face. She was worried that she would look strange in the tight thing, especially around everyone who was not wearing one. Still, she put the swim cap between her knees and twisted her hair up into a bun before pulling the cap over.

Gingerly, she maneuvered it over her stitches and rested it on her forehead. The tight pressure was uncomfortable, but Ele decided she would only wear it for the water dump, and then she could take it off and just enjoy the park without going underwater.

"It kind of hurts, but I'll take it off once the water comes down."

She said to Tyler.
