Hey! So I'm CornixElecti, or Cornix for short and well... I've only really ever had RP experience on Wolfplay and FlightRising. I'm a little new to forums like this, so please excuse my ignorance.
I've been a bit busy lately with well, real life stuff, and wanted to find something a little lighthearted or without a ton of responsibility (Like a pet game). That and I want a fresh start when it comes to the people I roleplay.

Some stuff about me well... I'm down for most anything though I prefer fantasy. I usually type 2-3 paragraphs per post, but that is all based on what I was given in the previous post. I really enjoy character creation and while I am an aspiring artist, I don't create the visuals for my characters myself that often. I may make a few mistakes in spelling or grammar, but that's usually due to how fast I've typed up the response or autocorrect mistakes that slip through!

** I also very much prefer original roleplays, so not based off a fandom such as pokemon or a videogame. I like elements incorporated but not complete copy and paste with the only difference being the main characters!

Welcome to RPG! Always nice to see a new face, and even someone fairly new to roleplayin'! As someone who definitely knows how that feels, lemme tell ya that it won't take too long before you find some really cool people to write with.

The Casual section is, in my experience, an incredible place to start out for getting settled in, as the expectations aren't nearly as high and you can often have a pretty fun time with whatever people have cooking up. There's always new RPs coming in, so I'm sure you won't have any trouble finding one that you would like :D You can also check out the Free section, if you'd prefer something that requires less of a long-term dedication factor and just for some clever speed-posting.

Oh! I mainly meant knew as in to RP specific forums, I know as it goes for many sites there's language and unspoken rules that are unique to each.

And as a small thought... It might have been cool if I'd done an RP piece to start out lol

@CornixElecti oh! Well then, still a greetings to you, and hope you can find an RP that you enjoy (or start one, if you're up to the task)!

And don't mind the posting limit dealio, mainly meant to keep the spambots under (admittedly minimal) control, as we sometimes get plagued by those vermin. Its only a short break (of 15 minutes, if I remember correctly), and you'll be free to post to your heart's content by tomorrow! Of course, you would know that by "heart's content", I don't infer that spammin' away is entirely preferred, but we do have a forum for that, as well! (some would take pride in this fact, others would like to see said forum burn. I won't state which side I'm on XD)

Haha and it's 3 minutes I believe. The Spam form looked interesting but I don't think I'll step into that jungle, I'll let those who enjoy that enjoy that and stay to the rp forums lol.

I noticed that there are a lot of fandom based rps like pokemon, witcher and Wow and stuff, but do people often create original RPs? Or will I have to go about creating my own?

@CornixElecti often enough, you can stumble upon an original RP which will be entirely made up, though there are a good deal of GMs who will create fandom-based RPs simply so that there is less work for them to have to do (as someone who is currently in the works of crafting an entire world, I can definitely understand why they would go that route ._. making lore is rather time-consuming!)

Let this not discourage you, though! There are definitely some really great, original RPs out there that are being crafted, and be sure to check both the main Roleplay forums as well as the Interest Check forums for RPs either still being created or just starting! It may take a bit of perusing, but there are certainly some in there that could perhaps be to your liking. Casual is perhaps better suited for having a deal more original RPs (and more RPs, overall), though I do think that there are still a few in Free that aren't entirely based on any sort of fandom. Like I said before, it just takes a bit of patience and sorting through the first few pages before you can land on one that really draws your attention. And, if it comes to the point where you don't find an RP that really sticks, feel free to tackle the task of creating an original RP all on your own!

Ahhhh okay! Thank you :) I looked around casual and casual int, but I didn't see much that wasn't in it's 500th page and up lol. I might invest in creating my own... I've made plenty, I just wonder if I have the time to invest in a whole new creation. Maybe I'll reboot one that died off!

@CornixElecti that would be awesome! Reviving RPs isn't entirely too uncommon, and it's typically not in any poor taste to take elements from a dead RP and run with it with your own idea. Typically it's always a good idea to craft some flashy Int Ch to draw folks in, then when you have a favorable amount of interest built up, craft yourself an OOC to put in the forum!
